Charles Hope Staines Centre

There was no wifi for that property. The bathroom to hallway exit had a loose tile which i tripped over. There are three different doors requiring three different codes. I was sent 2 emails with 2 different codes for the same door. They have no way to turn down the heating the room was at 26.5 degrees the whole time, the only way to cool the room down is to open both sets of patio doors. The AI assistant is annoying.

The apartment is tucked away behind a barely visible entrance and is surrounded by the smell of food coming directly from the the back kitchen in the high street

The property was clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable and room was huge. Nice balcony good for getting some air.

Due to the heatwave apartment was hot so maybe just in need of a fan or air con.

The heat in the building was unreal and no fans were provided despite being advised that each room would have a fan. Raised this with the staff at the time and they had no resolution and were extremely unhelpful. Still.waitijg for the details to make a complaint

The apartment is very spacious, it was clean, had a balcony, very good location

The check in instructions to get into the apartment are some of the worst instructors I have ever seen, there is no staff in the building, so you may be left outside if you check in after midnight, you may not even find where the entrance starts, it's not mentioned that you need to go around and around into some dodgy parking lot to enter. Once you close the windows in the apartment , the smell the next day is quite awful, it pretty much stinks.

The property was very clean but lacked cleaning materials like a sweeping brush and dust pan, and some work top detergent.

It was virtually impossible to get into the building. Directions to entry wasn’t very clear, thankfully a person that lives in the building let us in .

Very hard to find. Its rear of the address given Checking in was a nightmare. There was no key to turn and the code opened the wrong apartment. Tried to call for assistance several times but no answer. I ended up finding the cleaners key to get in after about an hour. Be prepared for stairs, stairs and more stairs. I wasn't.

The apartment was gorgeous very clean and spacious.

The key code was not given to us and we waited 2 hours for the number.Could not work the TV and cooker hob not able to get it to work.No hand rails in the bath room or slip mat in the bath as I slipped over in the bath trying to get out.Forgot the key and there was no spare anywhere waited 3 hours for someone to eventually find one to let us in to the room.So very disappointed with the the problems we had.

Even though I paid prior to the check in date, I never received an additional email to confirm identity ie upload passport/ drivers lic and confirm address. We arrived and ended up confused and frustrated on how to access the room. We did not have access to a uk phone line so we had to turn on our data, which has high cost associated in order to speak to someone. We did get someone and when we asked for keys to access, they said that we hadn't completed the verification process even though full payment was made. We never received an email prior, but of course I had to leave my data on to receive the verification email. I eventually found out that there was wifi close to some of the stores so we had to walk there with our suitcases and after traveling 8hrs. The verification process was tedious as the wifi wasn't strong so it kept saying we have to do it again, especially the face recognition and address verification. After that was processed, I was told that I had to pay a deposit. Because i needed data for the verification process from my bank, I had to turn this back on to revieve the code to approve payment. 2 hrs later we are still standing outside waiting for confirmation that all was sorted and instruction to enter, but nope, I had to go into wifi again, reach a family member that lives out here, call them over whatsapp and have them call the number in the email to query next steps. At that time I was sent the access code. That was the only frustrating part of my stay.

Loved the whole property however it was up 5/6 flights of stairs and my mam isn’t great on her feet so that was a negative, but overall very good

Gostei do espaco e ficaria novamente. A regiao é ótima, perto de todos os comercios em Staines e do Two rivers market. O espaço tinha um bom tamanho, itens novos. bom aquecedor, bons itens de cozinha.

o Check-in foi complicado. O endereço dava numa rua onde só tinha comercio. Para entrar precisava dar uma volta no quarteirao para entrar pelos fundos. Isso poderia ser melhor sinalizado ou informado com um passo a passo detalhado. Algumas experiências ruins: O Wifi nao funcionava, mesmo apos reclamar com o host, continuou sem funcionar. A sorte é que havia wifi do apartamento vizinho funcionando que era da mesma rede de apartamentos Na primeira noite nao havia toalha, foi necessário entrar em contato com a empresa que faz gestao do espaco para eles nos instruírem a como pegar uma toalha no armazem que atende os apartamentos do prédio, visto que o serviço de limpeza já havia sido finalizado no dia. Isso fez a experiencia do primeiro dia ser ruim.

The location is great just five minutes in the train station to get into London . OrTwickingham for the Rugby only 15mins on the train. Very clean overall a very nice place

Flat was clean, modern

Flat was very hard to find. Then lots of steps to get up. Every time we wanted to enter the building it took each of us several attempts to try to open the first door. Separate parking charge to stay in a car park near by and more walking luggage around as no stopping to unload outside the door. Be aware Iceland deliveries are at 4am and can be heard with the doors and windows shut. Our balcony faced the Iceland delivery area, which is also the entrance zone to walk through to get to the flat, it was very noisy and also not very inviting to spend any time on the balcony.

The apartment was dirty, and there was a horrible smell throughout the apartment. On top of that, there were leaks in the radiator and cold room, making the stay very uncomfortable. Overall, it was a very bad experience.

The location was unbeatable. The property was light and airy, and the open terrace was an added bonus.

The flat though comfortable definitely needs updating. The bathroom in particular had loose floor tiles. The bathtub is a hazard, my husband slipped and hurt his leg quite badly, and the same happened to me a few days later. In my opinion the tub should be removed and a shower cubicle should be installed. The bedroom is roomy and well appointed, but the bed is far too small for 2 people.

It is very difficult to find the place, there is no sign that related to Charles Hope, instead there is a Brixham court which was not mentioned. We were lost and had to book an alternative accommodation day 1, which was a serious disappointment and unnecessary cost.

The location was fine, right near shops, cafes and restaurants. The apartment was spacious.

The address given took me to the front of some shops. In fact the entrance was around the back of the shops, so you had to go into a side road, and then into a large loading area, and up some outside metal stairs. We should be told this in advance.

No lift and not even mentioned in the description. Room was on the 3rd floor and we had 6 suitcases Pathetic experience!

The property we stayed in was beautiful, equipped with everything you needed. The only downside was the hot water for the showers ran hot for 1/2minutes then went freezing cold. We did report this and somebody was meant to come out to resolve this but unfortunately the 2 nights we was their the problem didnt get resolved the comunication wasnt brilliant. The matter was never resloved.

Modern, clean, everything you needed was available, property finished to top spec. Location was amazing. Staff on call was fantastic.

Direction were lousy, only found it by chance. No mention of there not being a lift and for a family of three with 6 large suitcases on the fourth floor was ridiculous.

The shower didn’t work properly and the bath didn’t hold any water. We had trouble gaining access and relied on someone leaving for us to enter! I also have been here twice before and I really didn’t like this room compared to the accommodation above. It’s a lot of money which I feel could have been spent better elsewhere. The bed mattress was thin, poor standard as gave me a bad back

Location is great the property is right in the middle of Staines town centre excellent location. I got a bit lost I called the office the lady who gave me directions was patient and lovely Thursday night.

The property has no windows, the room that I was given is not what I was shown when booking. The fan was not that good my son woke up with a headache both days as much as he had enough fluids . The mattress has a huge stain, bed not the most comfortable. I woke up unwell with period pains I was refused late check out. The cleaner came at 11 on the dot and was so rude upon telling her I will not be long she said I give you 5 minutes I was so weak hot and in pain she was just rude.and I had explained that I’m unwell so heartless. I received a call from the company office I explained that I am nearly done I’m in pain the guy I spoke to was understanding and compassionate 11:10 I was out of the property.

Convenient location

The entrance was difficult to find and seemed quite sketchy when arriving at night time. Some of the furniture was quite dirty.

I am so unimpressed by what must easily have been the worst customer experience I have ever had renting an apartment , and I travel extensively, all over the world . 1. I wanted to extend my stay by one night - about 2 weeks pre booking and team said I should extend via Charles Hope and not booking to make sure I could keep the same apartment if possible. Well let’s just say it took 10 attempts to get someone to contact me and arrange . Should have know then to cancel . Also if you are not going to attend to a query I suggest you change your auto response . 2. I then get 2 messages to use your confirmation system so I contacted you again multiple times to check that you have the same apartment. 3. Two cabs could not drop me as your address and postcode link to a parking lot behind band q - also would be good to let people know there is no way to have a car drop you at the door 4. I was given an entrance code for day one, came back after going out on day one and it didn’t work - took 30 minutes and ZAR 300 of my international charges on my phone resolve . Again don’t leave a message saying you are dealing with something urgently when it is not dealt with urgently . Also you say you have a 24/7 contact line , which no one answers . Day 2 went to work, came back and Lo and behold the code did not work- again 30 minutes - after your team unhelpfully sent me the code that didn’t work …. Finally get a new code Day three repeat above but this time it took an hour for someone to respond - finally someone called and sent me the previous two codes which obviously did not work , finally got a third code - oh and some more roaming charges for me to pay and a client meeting missed as a result of your incompetence 4 the bottom metal door is never locked .

IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND THE ACCOMMODATION AS THE ENTRANCE WAS BEHIND THE HIGH STREET. Would be much easier with images. The code entry was also confusing as there were two doors and we didn't know which code to use.

The ONLY two slight let downs were the shower head slightly leaked and the fan didn’t blow cool!

My door code did not work twice I fact I am currently locked out and have been for twenty minutes while again for the second day running my query is apparently being escaled . So top tip if you need to get in and out of the apartment you have booked for then don’t book here unless you want to spend loads of time calling customer service

The fact the the build in is not named the same as the apartments and not on the address listed so good luck getting a cab to find it , balcony covered in cigarette butts was also fun

Easy and efficient communication with the booking platform. Perfect location. Very comfortable and clean. Very well equipped. Nothing missing!

I LIKED EVERYTHING ITS JUST A TOUCH OF AC WOULD BE SUPERB

Overall this apartment was a fantastic stay! Located just above Staines (literally any shop you might need is within a 5 minute walk), the apartment was private but not desolate and surprisingly quiet for its location so close to the main public spaces. As mentioned in previous reviews, it was a nightmare trying to find the entrance (you have to go down a side street and walk through a partitioned truck loading zone), especially when arriving in mid-afternoon amongst schools letting out and commuters heading home. However, once we found the correct entrance and made our way to the apartment, we were very pleased with how clean and spacious the area was! The mattress left a bit to be desired (very thin and sometimes springs could be felt), but the linens were very clean and otherwise comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked to be able to cook. The shower was plenty spacious, but the tiles just outside were a bit loose and could be felt rocking when stepped on getting in and out. Another huge plus, the apartment is a short 10 minute walk from a very nice public train station making it very tourist friendly if you’re looking to plan trips into Zones 1-5 for tours or sightseeing! Overall a great stay…once we got there! Staff on site were very friendly upon check-out, even offering to help us store our luggage for a brief period before our train. However, in trying to find the entrance and proper location for the apartment, staff on the phone were not as helpful.

They really need to emphasize that the entrance is at the rear of the building in a shipping and receiving lot. On the good side: Convenient location for shopping Convenient location for transit Modern kitchen and bathroom On the not so good side: Noisy slamming doors. Hard bed. Lots of stairs to apartments. Limited supplies in kitchen. No view other than trucks loading goods.

The sofa had marks over it ( as a rental I can understand) but not nice to look at when you walk in There was alot of door slamming over the weekend ( again I suppose can’t be helped by hosts ) the main door opening and closing till about 3 am which was loud.

I loved that this property was in the heart of things. All kinds of shops very close. The train was just about a 10 minute walk. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we were in the area.
