Friendly staff, lovely location and views are stunning. Breakfast is sensational.

Parking can be tricky but we were lucky.

Pretty much everything. The location is excellent for Heathrow arrivals or departures. It's in a beautiful, peaceful setting right on the Thames, the staff were uniformly helpful, considerate and accommodating. If we ever make it back to England, we'll start and end here.

Personeel was heel vriendelijk. Leuk oud gebouw waarin alles schots en scheef is, onze kamer liep enorm schuin af. Restaurant was ok voor één avond. Ontbijt was heel goed

Die Zimmer waren außergewöhnlich sauber, modern eingerichtet und boten eine wunderbar entspannte Atmosphäre, in der man sich sofort wohlfühlt. Besonders begeistert hat uns das Frühstück: eine große Auswahl, frische Produkte und liebevoll angerichtete Speisen, die jeden Morgen zu einem kleinen Highlight wurden. Insgesamt ein rundum angenehmer Aufenthalt, den wir sehr gerne weiterempfehlen.

Lovely comfortable hotel ,very cosy & friendly helpful staff

Nice old pub by the river. Well maintained and lots of character. We stayed in three different rooms which varied quite a lot. The larger room was very comfortable with lovely views over the river. Staff were helpful and friendly. Lots of breakfast options. Decor in all rooms was great.

Smaller rooms ok for overnight but for a few days it was a bit tricky accessing luggage as we had to put cases under the bed as there was very limited storage or floor space. These rooms were also quite hot but we did stay at the end of a particularly warm period. Fans were however provided which helped.

Enjoyed our stay here, staff were really friendly, food was good and location was superb. Excellent location for Heathrow, booked a very early morning taxi that the hotel recommended and again service was excellent, regular communication from the driver arrived on time and the driver was pleasant. This was our first stay here and will return when flying from Heathrow.

We loved the restaurant and river views. The friendly and helpful staff were great. The breakfast menu was one of the best we have experienced in the UK for variety and very nicely presented. We also liked the choice of lighter meals. Good value for money. Thank you!

The room was very small and there was no view from the windows. But okay if you were looking for a cosy room. We accepted this as it was a very fair price. The shortage of parking might have been an issue but we were lucky and found spaces. The parking permit system and 4 hours free is very good for a London suburb. Thank you.

We love this property. The location is Central to walk around the town where there’s loads of shopping. This was our third day here and we will always go back. The staff are absolutely wonderful thank you for a fabulous stay!

We traveled up from Harleyford to Staines on a friend’s boat .. we booked 4 rooms and the rooms were absolutely stunning… so impressed with everything about this hotel … staff , location , both dinner & breakfast … 5 star at sensible rates

Cramped. Floor was sloping. Poor lighting. Tiny bathroom sink. Matress was smaller than bed frame and way too soft.

A lovely stay with a fantastic atmosphere We really enjoyed our time here. The bar is fantastic — well stocked, great drinks, and a gorgeous outside area where you can sit, relax, and enjoy some food. The rooms are on the smaller side, but they’re beautifully decorated and very clean, which made for a comfortable stay. There is outside parking available, but you do need to arrive early to secure a space.

Outside the hotel itself, there really isn’t much to see or do, so we probably wouldn’t travel specifically to stay here again.

Wir haben dort auf einer Rundreise für eine Nacht haltgemacht, um Hampton Court zu besuchen. Bei dem warmen Wetter war es wunderbar, auf der schönen Terrasse am Fluss sitzen und abendessen zu können. Unsere Zimmer waren sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet, eines hatte einen kleinen Balkon. Beim Frühstück gab es eine große Auswahl. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Room and breakfast both exceeded expectations

We always stay at the Swan when we come to Staines, as it is close to where I used to live and all my friends in the area, as well as being close to Heathrow, where we always fly out of. The location is beautiful, right on the river and a quick 15 minute walk into all the shops and restaurants Staines has to offer. The breakfast is great, and the staff are always helpful and friendly. There are nice river walks in the area as well.

We have always felt our stays have been good value for money, however, this time we found it to be quite expensive for two nights, more than 50% more than the last time we stayed. Also, due to the increasingly hotter summers, I recommend they invest in air conditioning as it was stifling hot at night, and the two fans in our room didn’t seem to make a difference.

Excellent location with beautiful views over the river. Be sure to reserve a table on the restaurant terrace ahead of time. Room was spotlessly clean and well maintained. Great value for money.

Booking a table for the evening took a little chasing. In hindsight, would have just been easier to call.

We were in room 12. Very cosy but it had everything we needed. Private balcony overlooking the river. All the staff were friendly and attentive. The food in the restaurant was delicious but be warned the portions a quite large. We both slept really well. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast options were good. I had cereal, fruit and a Danish pastry, all delicious. My husband had a full English cooked breakfast, which was freshly cooked, hot and tasty. We will definitely return.

The location on the river, close to the town centre. The staff were really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was super. The bar was under the room but there was hardly any noise, didn't disturb us at all. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Beautiful location on the river Thames. Only a 15-20 min walk to bus stops and train stops. Water pressure was great, staff was very kind and welcoming. Pub was never a disturbance to our evenings. Overall great stay!

The breakfast was great. The view of the river was different at each time of the day. I liked the homey English inn quality of the rooms and the dining area. The staff was super helpful and everything was easy. I would gladly stay there again when work takes me to Staines.

Looking for an alternative to generic airport hotels for a quick one-night stay and this was perfect. Lovely historic feeling to the place, and very comfortable. Wish we could have easily gotten there from Heathrow via public transport, but that's certainly not their fault - and the staff was so lovely about offering to order us a taxi (which was cheaper than Uber) the next morning.

So quaint, old, full of character & charm with its slightly sloping floors! Warm & cosy. Fabulous huge & comfortable bed. Makes it an extra special stay! Our bedroom overlooked the Thames, magical. Dining room overlooks the river too. Wonderful breakfast, large choice & quite delicious ! Lots of thoughtful special touches too, top class tea & coffee machine in room,lovely toiletries. Landlord Paul and his deputy ( apologies I didn’t catch her name) could not be more welcoming and helpful. Such a jolly friendly people! Every need accommodated for, even a rather strange request ! Great location, short stroll into town. We liked Staines. Lots on offer. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel! Good proximity to Heathrow. No problem parking. Loved the pub and views of the Thames. Lovely suite, very clean and comfy. The drive to the airport can be tricky though especially in rush hour so give yourself extra time.

The hotel is old and quirky, the floor in our room was not level and not comfortable to walk around. The pillows were too hard to the point we didn’t use them- as we were only staying one night it wasn’t a big deal. We knew parking wasn’t available at the time of booking, the property could really benefit if this became an option.

Location is great and the breakfast was wonderful, superbly cooked by a lovely chef.

The room had everything as expected, and was very clean and tidy. The food was good - standard pub fare with good ingredients. I had an amazing view from my room and from the restaurant. The ease of access to walk along the Thames was fantastic.

Not much - there were fireworks in the area that were loud in the evening, but I know its not unusual for this time of year.

We booked this on the spur of the moment, everything about the Stay was excellent, really cannot fault the Hotel at all. Great Room 6...loved the bath, the room had such a cosy feel. Staff were all great. Food was exceptional .

Pillows were firm for me, but I'm fussy with pillows. Not a problem for us, but it is over a pub, so you'll obviously get some noise until pub closing.
