Embassy Suites by Hilton Hampton Convention Center

People were great. Breakfast was wonderful. Room was generously sized.

The shower pressure/flow was pitiful. I'm certain that not only was the flow below expectations, but it was well below code as well.

I liked the location the breakfast which was much better than the average hotel breakfast.

Everything was great.

The location and the cleanliness

The property was great

happy hour

pay for parking

Great value for the stay. Good location!

Bed as expected wasn’t as comfortable as we would have liked but wasn’t horrible. Everything was great

I love the location that is around a bunch of shopping centers and restaurants. It was just very very convenient.

I really don't have anything negative to say about what I didn't like about the property other than I think parking should be free

The check in hosts are great. Good proximity of where I’m traveling too.

I have stayed at the facilities twice within 2 months. This facility clearly states 12:00 checkout. 1) Each time a hour or 1:15 at least before checkout. Housekeeping is trying to enter my room with the key and my “Do not disturb sign hanging on the door knob “Rolling Over”. I have to stop the cleaning from actually entering with her key. 2X) “Do not disturb sign hanging on the door knob “Rolling Over”. Housekeeping knocking on the door at 11:00. I open the door and housekeeper rudely asks do you have a late checkout. I’m actually in the middle of packing. I’m not loud nor do I want stay anywhere where housekeeping walking directly in my room when clearly the “do not disturb is on my door” before checkout. 3) Additional Parking fee changed from $10-$13 within a month of my two stays.

Great location

The lobby furniture needs replacing dirty and worn

It was an all-around great experience. I enjoyed the breakfast and the water in the lobby.

I think the only thing was having to pay for parking.

Property was nice and clean

Breakfast was horrible they had no turkey bacon or sausage also I had to wait for an hour and a half just to get an omelet it was insane

Rooms were decent and staff was nice.

Paying to park at a hotel that was already pricey is definitely a deterrent from this being a first booking choice

The cleanliness of the hotel and the friendliness of the start

I liked everything about the property

The hotel charged for parking. Will not return to this property or recommend the property because of the parking fee.

Very nice place to stay staff was great, good breakfast

Check in is too late

Everything

The pool water too cold

Our room was not ready at the 4:00 PM check-in time. We were repeatedly told to check back in another 10 minutes, despite explaining that we had been traveling all day and were extremely tired. We were eventually told that no rooms were available and that we would need to continue waiting in the lobby. We followed their instructions and checked back every 10 minutes, but the room still was not ready. What was especially disappointing was the complete lack of an apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. The situation seemed to be treated by the staff as though it were completely normal. Once we were finally given the room, we found trash on the floor and hair on the bathroom walls. Additionally, the bathroom door would not close properly unless considerable force was used. Overall, the experience was very disappointing, from the excessive wait at check-in to the cleanliness and maintenance issues in the room. Based on this experience, we would not stay at this property again.

The bed was soft

The extra parking fee. Totally unnecessary.

Staff was very nice. Clean hotel. Big rooms. Breakfast buffet was really good. There's an omlette station.

They tried to charge for parking! It's just a big open lot around the hotel with no gates so they're trying to make you pay with your phone. Apparently there's no real enforcement. So I would recommend not paying.

The restaurant and the breakfast was amazing. Definitely a 10 out of 10 I recommend.

I loved the room and how it was big enough for my daughter to have her own space without having to get another room. The omelet station was a 10/10.

The breakfast was not what I expected; it had no taste and was dry. I recommend only getting the omelet if you go here. They also only had half and half for the coffee.

All was superb, there's nothing bad I can say about, lol, I just needed a clock in the room but that was no biggie at all.

The only thing I didn't care for, my check out time states 12p, and housekeeping was knocking loudly at my door at approximately, 11:17a and again at 11:30a...

Convenient to our venue. Breakfast in the morning was great!

Loud music one night at the convention center until 1:30 am.

The hotel was amazing

Everything was very nice

We liked everything

This hotel’s customer service has not lived up to its ambience… Beautiful…however are large group had half of the keys not working at check-in…My bathroom had not been thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed…the next day bathroom still had not been cleaned…I found a small piece of a bracelet on the floor, which should have easily been vacuumed up during cleaning… Then I attempted to get an advertised dessert… The “cook” was missing & I was initially told they didn’t know if the dessert was even available because it was a special from July 4th… then I was told they didn’t have it but I waited a total of about 30min and still no dessert. -Hire some new staff

I did not like parking. At most hotels, parking is included. The hotel is expensive already, so tacking on parking on top of the stay cost was a huge problem. A hang tag should be provided for guests who are staying.

It was a good location for what I was planning on doing

The staff was friendly, location great and the food was good.

That on the booking site it does not say it’s a 225 deposit. That parking is not free and you have to pay for each vehicle per day.

Staff was exceptionally kind although I believe our check out host over promised and under sold. I was told I would receive points towards a free nights stay due to being given a room that felt like a swamp. That didn’t happen though. At least the night host was able to get us a room with working a/c though. Oh well.

Our first room had a/c issues.

breakfast

no.free parking

The location

Dirty/stained carpets, damaged walls, not clean, had to pay to park, 1hr late towel delivery, dirty elevator windows, limited access to the building's entrances. This was THE WORST stay of the Hilton's.

Breakfast buffet. Choice in food but need more fruit selection.

Kitchen lobby floor was sticky all morning. Elevators needed cleaning. Should not charge so much for park

They did not try to help the situation at all. I wasn't please how they handled the issue. I was told one thing and online said another.

All around great experience

The best breakfast buffet in any hotel we have ever stayed in. There’s always a lot of variety and that’s one of the main reasons we like to stay at the Embassy suites. Staff is very friendly and the hotel is very beautiful and welcoming.

It was not a thing that we did not like

The place is beautiful.Very professional staff.Breakfast was great.Cleaning staff very thorough. All staff very courteous.

I loved everyhing about the place.

Děkujeme za skvělý pobyt. Velmi krásný hotel, usmívající se a neustále ochotný personál, výborné snídaně, odpolední snack je skvělý, osvěžující, nápoje zcela zdarma. Fajn fitko a bazén. Skvělý výběr, budeme nadále využívat hotely Hilton.

Vše v naprostém pořádku.

Everything

The suite layout with a locking door separating the front room & the bedroom, the spaciousness of the room, a semi full kitchen, the early/late pool hours, the quiet of a large courtyard hotel & the reasonable parking rates.

The shower pressure was ridiculous in addition to it almost stopping every time someone in a surrounding room flushed their commode. The breakfast was horrible. The scrambled eggs were very dry, the cubed potatoes had entirely too much pepper on them, the tiny biscuits were so dry they crumbled if you tried to butter them & the bagels seemed like yesterday's news-stale. I thought it might just be me but my traveling companion thought the same thing.

I did not like that Guests had their dogs with them in line at the Buffet. That is not sanitary especially when other guests may be allergic to dogs!!!!

The location was great, the staff were excellent , the beds were sooooo comfortable.

I didn’t like the showers.. there was no good water pressure at all my whole 4 days. A great shower will make a big difference

I am fan of Embassy and Hilton Hotels . Only Hotels I stay in. My last vist it was my birthday I had over size room. I thought I was booking that room again. My room this time bed was very uncomfortable the pillow was so flat. Buffet was not good 5p all fruit and salsa. We on road traveling . We shouldn't have go back out get food. Sat Buffet was half empty we came down we ate nothing so we left. It one main reason we come to hotel. We have another visit in August if we dnt cancel. We plan come for New Years Eve. We cant get into Va Beach one its either booked or too expensive stay one night.

We slept I an didn’t attend breakfast the reception food the night before looked ran through broken chips flies

I didn’t like having to pay for parking at a hotel that I’m staying over night it’s not in a garage or valet . I think that’s very distasteful . Online the king suite had a full Size fridge and a stove top my room have neither . We came to relax and didn’t have the accommodations that were needed to relax

The breakfast grits were not done

The cleanest

The room the and the evening cocktails and morning breakfast.

I did not like my checkin experience. The person at check in kept working did not look up and say anything. So when the couple before us left after completing their buisness my husband said T move forward. I said she did not call us but after some time we moved forward. Her only acknowledgment was slight annoyance. Then she started working with us then we were working literally with someone else. A simple please excuse me while I wrap this up or Im sorry for your wait after we drove 6 hours to arrive at your hotel would have been nice. Its often the little details that make or break an experience. Im a nurse and if her loved one was in need of care and I didn't take time to explain steps then I would absolutely be wrong in that circumstance. People must understand customer service is an art.

Location. Breakfast and staff

Clean dining area floors between customers

Customers should be called or sent a text if room is not an available especially if it will not be available within 30 minutes of checkin (before or after). The refrigerator in my room didn’t work and milk for both an infant and toddler had to be thrown out. Breakfast was good though. The staff was great and so helpful and polite. During, checking out we had to walk the floors to find a cart to leave so we helped another customer pack their car up just to get their cart. The housekeeper Anthony? I believe that’s his name was also helpful at checkout. GREAT location for food and stores in general. Also, it’s not too far from Norfolk/Portamouth/Williamsburg. Parking should be free especially since there aren’t any other options to park off street and since the hotel already does a hold for each night.

Everything

Loved everything

The location was about 15 mins from CNU, chose to stay here because the hotels near CNU didnt have good reviews. Parking was $13.50, check in was easy, the room they selected for me wasn't ready when I checked in after 6pm, so they gave me another room. This room wasn't as clean or up to par like I know a Embassy can be. There was grease on ottoman, cereal in the floor, the molding was coming apart beside the fridge and my sheet was ripped. Breastfast was great, no lines, plenty of food, never waited for the food to be refilled. I will stay again if in the area.

Awesome location

Nothing

The location

Free a breakfast

Assignment of an occupied guest room to my family • Exposure of my minor children to explicit sexual activity as a direct result of that room assignment • Misrepresentation of accommodations prior to booking • Security personnel making unsupported accusations against my family • Entry into our room under questionable circumstances while minor children were present and changing clothes • Continued harassment and targeting throughout our stay • Assessment of a smoking fee despite maintenance personnel reportedly finding no evidence to support the allegation

Sus instalaciones están perfectas

Que tuvimos que pagar parqueo

Location, close to the coliseum, restaurants, etc. The rooms are comfortable including the bed, large table, comfy chairs and sofa. Love the mini fridge with freezer! Friendly professional staff and excellent breakfast with cooks preparing food! Highly recommended!

Brreakfast is good. The room is clean. Staff are friendly.

No more amenities ex. Slippers, toiletries

Everything was awesome :)

NA

Breakfast was awesome and facility very nice and clean.

Paid parking at top notch hotel.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was great!

Our door to room 728 required a very hard push to open it every time we left.

The breakfast was good

I liked everything

I love every thing about the property

Nothing

I liked having the option of the daily happy hour and the free breakfast was great! The room was large and comfortable and the customer service was amazing.

We got locked out of our room for about 20 minutes. The battery for the keypad went bad. Not the hotel's fault but ongoing maintenance to proactively change batteries so guests are not locked out. That's not a good feeling and then to have to make trips back to the front desk for assistance. You want to get to your belongings and use the facilities that you pay for immediately without interruption. It causes unnecessary anxiety.

staff were good

I use the stairway to get to my room and they were pathetic dirty! Trash outside the room was there during whole stay

I enjoyed my entire stay. The bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in at a hotel. Everything was clean, peaceful, and welcoming. I would definitely stay again!

It wasn’t worth the pay. The pool was nice but overly crowded with kids. Access to the rooms would’ve been great if ppl who didn’t have a room were not able to get in.

The police showing up during my stay.

The breakfast was very good. Made to order omelets were outstanding.

Nothing. Services were good. I would prefer free parking, but I drove and had to pay to park my car. This was not a show stopper.

The hotel is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. My room was very nice and comfortable. I was able to check in 1 hour early with no fuss.

The breakfast was disappointing. There were many choices overall, But the only hot items were cheese omelette, bacon, and some kind of oatmeal or grits

I like the property a lot. Everyone was friendly and helpful. and I like the proximity to The Coliseum and for someone who is not from there? It’s a great location.

It was a different style of hotel that I am not used to so the open is it was cool, but it was all also an unsettling

The openness the cleanliness the staff was friendly

All was well

Everything

Loved everything

I always stay here. Best place and best location

The location. The staff was nice as well.

I didn’t get to get late checkout and when I called th front desk to ask the host was rude.

The host being rude and the facility only allowing a certain amount of people to have late checkouts

The location was very convenient on a strip with restaurants and things for kids to do. It was also very relaxing with a cocktail hour anda hors d’oeuvre bar, which is very convenient if you want to unwind before going to your room also if you need to do any work the rooms have all you need .. I find it a very good area to work in .. the cleanliness is definitely top-tier and the fact that they have a printing system downstairs so that you can make copies or do anything you needfor work and overall great atmosphere of work or play
