Excellent location, right at Westlake pier 5 where you can take the cruises.

Jam to get to the property. Because it is location at the most busy part of west lake and everything is right at the door steps but unfortunately this also means that it is filled with tourists and there is only 1 road to lead to the hotel n very congested. the jam to go back to hotel is about 15 min even though we are only a very distance from the hotel entrance.

Bien sûr. Je te propose une version plus fluide, claire et ferme, tout en restant adaptée à Booking : La vue sur le lac était malheureusement en partie obstruée par le toit de la piscine. Étant au 5ᵉ étage, nous avions tout de même une vue sur le lac, mais elle était nettement moins spectaculaire que ce que je m’étais imaginé lors de la réservation. Nous avons également été déçus par certains aspects du service. Lorsque nous sommes venus déposer du linge à laver, le concierge nous a vus chercher où nous devions le déposer, avec le sac de linge bien visible, mais ne nous a proposé aucune aide. Nous sommes même passés devant lui et avons essayé de traduire la pancarte posée sur le bureau, car rien n’indiquait clairement en anglais qu’il s’agissait de la conciergerie, et la traduction prêtait à confusion. Heureusement, un autre membre du personnel nous a finalement vus chercher et est venu nous aider, ce que nous avons apprécié. Autre point décevant : nous avions réservé une chambre pour 3 personnes, mais le couchage n’avait pas été entièrement préparé pour la troisième personne. Nous avons dû réclamer une couverture supplémentaire. Dans un hôtel de ce standing, ce genre de détail devrait normalement être anticipé avant l’arrivée des clients. Dans l’ensemble, l’hôtel reste agréable, mais nous avons trouvé que le niveau de service n’était pas totalement à la hauteur des 5 étoiles annoncées. Compte tenu du tarif pratiqué, nous nous attendions à davantage d’attention et à un service plus irréprochable.

Es war ein großartiges Hotel. Das Zimmer in der 8. Etage war recht groß und gut ausgestattet. Es gab alles, was man brauchte. Der Pool ist riesig. Auch im Wellnessbereich gab es eine schönen Wärme-Pool und eine Sauna. Wir hatten den „Zugang zum Club“, was unser persönliches Highlight war. Das Frühstück und Nachmittagsessen waren großartig. Immer wieder gerne. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse auf der 8. Etage ist atemberaubend, vermutlich die Beste in Hangzhou.

Im Wellnessbereich und im Schwimmbereich gab es kein Wasser, was man sich einfach nehmen konnte. Man musste immer nach einer Flasche fragen und es gab meist auch nur eine. Im Grand Hyatt Shanghai standen diese immer frei zur Verfügung, sodass man immer genug Wasser zu trinken hatte.

Amazing location, close to everything, and DiDi drivers can easily find the hotel. For me, this was one of the best locations ever — right in front of the lake and within walking distance of shopping malls, restaurants, and many attractions. The room view to the lake 👌🏻👍🏻

This is my third consecutive year staying at Grand Hyatt Hangzhou hotel. This hotel should be a dream place for everyone. It has an excellent location—walking distance to the famous West Lake, Yin Tai Mall, tons of restaurants and shopping centers. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back again next year.

Das Schwimmbad und der Wellnessbereich sind modern und großzügig gestaltet. Auch die Zimmer überzeugen durch ihre großzügige Raumaufteilung und die sehr bequemen Betten. Das Badezimmer mit Glaswand wirkt ebenfalls modern und luxuriös. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Dachterrasse im Lounge-Bereich sowie das ausgezeichnete Frühstücksbuffet. Die Lage direkt am See ist sehr schön.

Das Frühstücksabgebot im Lounge-Bereich und die Nutzung der Dachterrasse sind gegen Aufpreis möglich. Für die Zimmer mit Blick auf den Westlake wird ebenfalls ein Zuschlag berechnet. Bei einem Zimmerpreis von 300 € pro Nacht wurde mir lediglich ein Zimmer im vierten Stock ohne Aussicht zugewiesen. Aus meiner Sicht steht das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hier in keinem angemessenen Verhältnis.

Offers the best elevated Westlake view. Completed it with Club Lounge access, the experience is complete. We were so comfortable and cared for that we were almost reluctant to face the 37C to 38C summer weather. The Guest Services team has been most patient and supportive with the parcel receival. Kudos. The deployment of robots also make it way more convenient and making me feel less guilty. Truly, I can tell that they are so busy as it seems that more and more people are ordering deliveries to their rooms. For any international traveller, keeping to international chain hotel has its guarantee of services. The food is really good too. Overall, thank you.

It’s July 2026, summer temperatures around West Lake can reach 35 degrees celcius or more. We paid higher price for a lake view at 7th floor. The room aircon there is only possible till 25 degrees celcius and unable to go lower. Imagine we thought we could escape and rest in the room from summer heat but ended up it was stuffy and warm - that affected our sleep at night too even without the blankets, it was stuffy. So we had to go sit in lobby which was much cooler. The hotel technician said this temperature is like this probably due to the heat as we kept our window blinds opened, he suggested to keep it shut to reduce the heat in room - that means the room is in darkness. Afterwards we shifted to another hotel property and we were able to enjoy the nice cooling hotel room and take naps in the hot afternoons.

I mean... my god this is one of the better hotels that I've stayed at throughout China. Although a bit pricey for a hotel within China, the hotel definitely lives up to it. I don't believe the location of the hotel could get any better than where it is situated as its right on the west lake and the bustling pedestrian street of Hangzhou. The hotel itself also offers many dining options such as Michelin Starred Hubin 28, which had exceptional services and was delicious. With regards to the room itself, it is quite spacious and offers a large sofa with a large table, providing sweeping views of west lake if you book a lake view room. Additionally, I found the Grand Club to be exceptional with its offerings. This is a perfect example of a Club not having to offer a ton of food, but just higher quality and tasty food as I found myself happily eating breakfast and dinner within the club itself every day alike many others staying at the club. The club offered an assortment of hotel food along with a noodle station, which was greatly appreciated by the guests. The club also has an attached terrace outside that many peopled used, which gave great views of the West Lake. Additionally, the service within the hotel and club lounge was exceptional as well. If you are looking for a top tier stay within Hangzhou (which is one of my favorite cities), I would definitely choose this property!

The room is very spacious and good quality, the location is excellent, the view is what you pay for and it’s worth it

The room I booked was unavailable at check in. I understand that this happens sometimes, it’s not a big issue. Instead of saying this the receptionist tried 3 times to have me pay to upgrade, and then gave the upgrade for free when I kept refusing to pay extra. Disappointing behaviour

I liked it,. Good hotel, but it was just a short stay.

It stayed just one night. During that time I did not find anything that would have bothered me.

We stayed in the Club level and that made a big difference. The staff there were excellent. Food and drinks offered there were amazing. Rooms with Lake view were beautiful and spacious.

There are many company events going on so the hotel was always full when we were there. Many bus loads of people. Lobby was always full.

Excellent hotel right in front of West Lake and lots of shopping malls. Subway station is nearby which makes for easy access to other parts of the city.

I booked the LakeView Room which costs a premium but the view of the lake is blocked by the trees meaning you cannot see the lake, regardless of the floor you’re staying in. I told this to the manager who has agreed to issue me a partial refund. A refund was never given.

We stayed over the May Day bank holiday in a lake view room, so it was expensive - but worth it for the superb views of the lake. The service was excellent everywhere. Breakfast in the buffet and dinner in 28 Hubin Road were both very good, though pricey, especially for China. It took our taxi a while to get there from the station as the streets round about the hotel were so crowded

Excellent location next to Westlake, Hubin 88 mall and subway station. Though located next to a busy tourist spot, it’s a world away inside the hotel.

Amazing location, central to everything. Rooms are large, beds comfortable and huge. Felt like a California king size bed. The location is like 30 steps away from West Lake and all the shopping areas. This is an exceptional Hyatt property, conveniently located on Westlake, and next to the main shopping area. Staff is very welcoming and inviting, the steakhouse on the 2nd floor is amazing- unbelievable service and food. Breakfast buffet has everything you could possibly want

Wonderful location on lake near sight-seeing places. On positive, happy hour at lounge significantly better than Marriott Shanghai or Shangri-la Suzhou. The live music at night is really good with top beers on draft. Breakfast very good. On negative, room had a damp smell, which staff could not resolve. TV lacked a working HDMI to allow me to watch my own content.

We had an amazing stay here at Grand Hyatt. Check in was smooth and we were offered a late checkout. During turndown, housekeeping left a plate of small green apples. I ate all of them cause they were delicious. We checked out the fitness center and it had all the equipments we were looking for. We also wanted to check out the pool and bar but we didn’t have the time. I would definitely come back next time to check these out.

The location could not be better for its proximity to the lake with the maximum allowable height. The view from the room at the top floor and the rooftop area outside the lounge were spectacular. The room was clean and the room size was acceptable though more spacious would be better. I didn’t expect a bidet toilet considering how old the hotel was so that was a pleasant surprise. I visited at a quieter time so the service was prompt. Food and beverage in the lounge was okay but not memorable.

The hotel was clean and well maintained, and the location is excellent. The shopping area is less than a 10-minute walk away, with plenty of food options nearby. West Lake is just across the road, offering a beautiful view. A very convenient and enjoyable stay overall.

Laying low at the Grand Hyatt Hangzhou for a work trip here in Hangzhou. Everything is smooth and comfortable, just what you need. The real standout was the dinner I had at their restaurant tonight. Our server, Roger Wang, is a fantastic guy. He was just on it, super attentive without hovering. We never had to look for him. He’d just appear right when you need anything. Really friendly and professional. His English was excellent, which made everything easy. Thumbs up to him and the restaurant 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I had a wonderful stay at Grand Hyatt Hangzhou and was extremely satisfied with my experience. The room was beautiful and offered a fabulous view, making my stay truly memorable. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of high-quality options to choose from. The hotel’s location is perfect—right by West Lake, with shopping areas just a few steps from the entrance. The reception team was very professional and helpful. Special thanks to Viola, the Director of Rooms, for her outstanding service and attention to detail. I would highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again.

Hot water was not available in the shower booth. I claimed it next moring but it was still the same in the evening. I could not shower with enough hot water. Only little hot water was available and it made me cold during shower.

Beautiful place to stay right on the shores of Westlake, and the musical fountain that plays every evening is right in front. The service is impeccable from the moment we arrived till checkout. The gym is well-equipped and has a good view of the heritage streets. The swimming pool is amazing with natural light, and the changing rooms have sauna and hot pools. Great way to rejuvenate morning and night after long walks in Hangzhou. Must try the 28 Hubin Road restaurant, it is awesome.

old hotel, aircon was not working well. initially was assigned a room at the further end of the corridor which was very far from the lift. staff helped relocated my room to the other wing which was closer to lift. However aircon on both rooms did not function properly and when i turned on the fan to max, it made noise that make it difficult for me to sleep. There were also many ants on the table tops near the TV
