Nice, quiet lodgings, close to shops and restaurants. Ideal if you are flying in or out of Gatwick. Comfy beds!

Location was fantastic. A 5 minute stroll into the centre of town with lots of shops and restaurants. Short distance to Gatwick airport. Comfortable bed. Big tv. Fan.

Communal areas are being renovated, which was fine as we didn’t use them. Strong odour in the reception area - yet not in the bedrooms which is good as it is overpowering.

I liked being on the ground floor and having access to an outside terrace. Good shower Felt like the place was being modernised, and room 26 which has been refurbished was to a good standard

If we were fussy, which we are not, it would be the dining area, however it looked like it was a work in progress.

Great value. Post code did not lead us to the house and it took a few minutes to find.

Great location close to shops and pub and mainly airport

The extraction fan was very noise and takes long time to turn off after using the bathroom. The bed quilt didn’t have any changeable sheet/cover which means we were sleeping on someone’s body fluids and sweat. There was also a cum stain. Disgusting.

Needed an overnight stay near to Gatwick for an early flight the next day. Easy to book and check in. Walking distance to Horley town centre, and close to Gatwick. We had a king room that appeared to have been renovated recently(?) and was clean, tidy and modern. Bed was a little firm but comfy duvet.. Didn't have breakfast but tea and coffee facilities in the room.

Very convenient for Gatwick airport - a short bus ride away. Friendly staff and comfortable room.

In my room there were emergency exit lights on all night which didn’t bother me but may bother some people. But it was reassuring to know the building is fire safe.

The area as we were close to the airport & the tetley bags.

When you walked through the door you noticed there was a lot of work being done on the property, there’s paint on the quilts , a sign stating not to eat in your bedrooms in number 8 when there is the most dirt on the skirting boards. Black hair on the pillows ? And it states “quiet time between 11pm and 6am however we could hear a lot of banging / walking from above our bedrooms number 7 and 8 through the night and then had to pay £8 to park in the hotel parking even though you’ve paid to stay.?

Room 15 was clean, very comfortable and modern. Very little noise heard. Plenty of parking (we did have to pay per night for this). Good location to get to shops, railway station and restaurants - within 5 minutes walk.

Currently no food facilities at the Lodge. These are undergoing restoration.

Proximity to bus stop and airport

It would be nice to have provisions for temporary luggage storage given there are no lifts in the building.

A very convenient location very close to the bus stop to get to the airport. The buses run 24 hours a day and are very regular. It was a comfortable room with good facilities.

The cafe's in walking distance were a bit limited for vegetarian food.

You have to pay a parking fee to keep your car there overnight which is £8, which I think isn't fair if you have booked to stay at the hotel. We arrived after 6 so we just parked on the road after the hotel and as we were leaving early in the morning and road parking is free before 7am I think and free on Sundays.

Close to public transport via bus to Gatwick or an easy walk to Horley train station. There is the option to have a small continental breakfast. Although the room was small it was perfectly fine for 1 night I have stayed here before and the staff are always lovely

It could do with some renovations but I feel the price reflects this

Very close to the airport - got the bus from Gatwick South. I also requested a room on the ground floor as I was unable to carry my large suitcase upstairs and this was arranged.

Booking.Com advised us that we had to purchase 2 rooms (double and a single) for 2 adults and à 15 year old. When we arrived the ‘double’ room was in fact à triple room with double and single beds, so there had been no need to book and pay for the extra single room. The hotel understandably would not refund us at short notice. We paid for breakfast but it was not available until 7am. When we asked for a simple breakfast to be made available that we could take to our room for the morning ( 6am departure) we were advised ‘no’ we couldn’t have any breakfast. We had to pay extra for parking via booking.com. If you book with the hotel it is free.

La nostra stanza affacciava su un cortile interno utilizzato come area di servizio, si vedevano asciugamani e altro materiale di servizio. Inoltre, dalla cucina provenivano cattivi odori che rendevano poco piacevole tenere la finestra aperta. Mancanza di aria condizionata e ventilatore non funzionante

Vriendelijk en flexibel qua ontvangst, duidelijke uitleg over vervoersmogelijkheden rondom de locatie. De parkeermogelijkheden waren voldoende, en we konden een stekker lenen omdat we geen reisstekker bij ons hadden. Was ideaal om naar het treinstation te lopen en daar een off-peak travelcard te halen voor alle OV tussen Horley en al het OV in London zelf. Scheelt een hoop stress en parkeren voor 20,80 pond pp.

We hadden een prima ventilator op de kamer. Enige verbetering die ik kan bedenken zou een airconditioning zijn.

Very convenient for Gatwick Airport. Horley is just 2-3 miniutes on the train from the main airport terminals and then about 8 minutes walk from Horley Station. Friendly welcome, quiet room, great value for money and just 5 minutes walk from shops and restaurants.

This guesthouse was the absolute perfect location for travelling into and out of Gatwick airport. Buses run all day and night with the bus stop a few yards from the door. The road is attractive looking and has several other similar looking guesthouses. Entry into the property was straightforward and reception and check-in was courteous and quick. The stairs up to second floor were a little awkward with heavy luggage but this was a small price to pay for the very reasonable rate paid for the room. The room was clean with ensuite shower and toilet with unlimited tea and coffee available. The room itself was very warm upstairs but it has been unusually hot weather and there was a fan on the wall if needed. There is a good range of dining options within walking distance from the guesthouse and the property itself offers a limited bar service and buffet breakfast if required. The early check out was very straightforward. This place was very reasonably priced and was an absolute godsend to rest and unwind after a day's travelling before an onward flight early the next morning and I would not hesitate to stay here again. Many thanks.

Location perfect for Gatwick airport access and the room was new, spotless and stocked good.

The had a fan mounted in room but was a bit warm and stuffy but get that unusual weather for England. Check in went smoothly and on site parking for fee was descent but thankfully found fine street parking close. The general areas were still a bit run down, not horrible or anything but the hallways were right for hauling luggage in and out. Not bad if only with carry-on.

I was visiting friends for a week, and the room was ideal for all my needs. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Dining area with microwave and fridge very convenient and great location for the airport and Horley town centre.

I got a room on the first floor instead of a second floor room which l think was thoughtful,the staff are friendly & helpful too,l would recommend this hotel.
