Very convenient location for train station, shops, bars and theatre. Arrived late morning and the receptionist checked us in immediately and allowed us access to the room. Very convenient. We were able to leave our bags after we checked out and collect them later in the day

Room was dated and beds were old fashioned spring type so not comfortable but location was perfect for our short stay

The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and waitress at breakfast was superb. Location is good. TV was of a good size and standard.

The receptionist on arrival was sullen. we could hardly hear her. We were on 6th floor, and only one of the two lifts worked, and that one wasn't reliable. On entering the room there was a strong smell of bleach. We returned from a show about 9-15 at night, hoping to have a drink in the bar but it was closed.

Breakfast service started late, meaning I could only eat a small amount before having to leave to catch my train. I had already paid for breakfast, as they told me it was more expensive if you pay on the day. Some of the carpets and furniture is a bit tired and worn. Could do with a refresh.

Where do I start..... Two lifts, both only fit three people one wasn't working so spent most of our time waiting for lifts. The room was very very tired, the skirting boards were filthy, the carpet was disgusting and all ruffled like it had been flooded and was stretched and didn't fit, the furniture had chunks taken out of it. The worst part was though was that this hotel is very obviously being used as a halfway house/temporary accommodation for people. I'm glad I was there with my partner and not a bunch of girls as I would not have felt safe. This was also evident by the fact that the person who was obviously staying long term in the next room woke us up at 6am playing the guitar until I finally knocked the wall to tell him to stop 45 minutes later.

No facilities available No room service Nowhere to purchase drinks or snacks, these were all closed A bar was available apparently but I was taken down to a basement where nothing I wanted was available im only talking a glass of red wine and a pint of draught lager, eventually found something but was then told to pay cash, why??? They took £10 off my card minutes earlier for parking?!! There was no spa, gym or pool. The place was dirty and carpets were ripped, definitely not worth the money charged. The thermostat was hanging off the wall. There were no pillow protectors, bathroom was dirty. Chairs were stained and dirty. The lock didn't work on the bathroom. When 1 of the beds moved we saw that underneath had not been cleaned for some time. I was there for a funeral and requested an early check in, I had booked and paid for 3 rooms and just wanted 1 to get ready in as we were travelling from Manchester that morning. Even though I agreed to the extortionate fee, no one got back to me to confirm. Stressful stay at an already difficult time. Really not impressed

Stayed at The Dragon Hotel 12 months ago and has 2 lifts but the left one was not working. Stayed this weekend and this lift is still out of action. The rooms are very tired and in need of an upgrade. The furniture is chipped and has scuff marks. The chair in the room is stained and the carpet is worn in places. Me and my husband wanted a shower before going out in the evening and the shower was running cold so couldn't have one. We reported this to reception staff on the way out and they said they would make a note of it. Got up next morning, again to a cold shower so couldn't have one again. Reported again as we were leaving and handing in our keys. We explained we had not been able to have a shower the night before and had told reception ( a different staff member ) Again, was told I'll report it !' This is basic requirements for a hotel stay.

Nice view and comfortable bedding and big TV

Only one elevator working and it only had a 3 person capacity, it was very difficult getting up and down during peek times, had to take the stairs up all 7 floors, nearly killed me!

Fantastic location just 8 mins walk from Swansea train station, and close to shops and cafes. The staff were very helpful and friendly, room was clean and everything was as expected and we didn't stay in the room much.

The gym has been closed for months apparently but it is not updated on the website, so that was disappointing. The room was cleaned daily but only mainly changing towels, vacuuming and changing the bins, but the cups and spoons we used were not replaced / washed. Walls a bit thin and buidling was a bit run down but expected that from the reviews - but for the price, it was perfectly fine!

They do a really nice buffet like breakfast with a variety to choose from that you can help yourself to. It was clean and they room serviced every day I stayed. It's good that they keep on top of the cleaning.

Everything was fine and went pretty nicely until we left. I was the one that paid for it, I was the one that booked it which the lady behind the desk is fully aware of yet when I went to hand the key cards in she was staring at my boyfriend like hard smiling at him she didn't even notice me holding the key cards out in front of her face she glanced at me took them and went straight back to hardcore staring at my boyfriend. I thought it was pretty rude to be honest when I was stood directly in front of her yet she was staring at my boyfriend to the side.

Main light and one side light did not work. Room was dirty, huge marks on floor and ceiling. Only 2 pillows which were very flat. Mentioned at reception and did not get any apology and don't think they made much note to resolve.

I stay here often. Excellent location in the centre of Swansea with parking although you have to pay. Room very clean and comfortable and at a decent price for the location.

On arrival my friend had already checked in, and all I had to do was to pick up key, but the staff seemed to struggle with this concept and it took a long time to get checked in. Also, Swansea parking elsewhere is cheaper so even though the parking is convenient when staying there, I think their prices should reflect the local parking rates.

The room was dirty, cigarette burns on windowsills stains on chairs and carpets. My husband stayed for the 2 nights I came home couldn't stay there. Very disappointed.

La chambre PMR et spacieuse elle est réellement accessible, dommage qu'elle soit au 7e étage en cas d'incendie.

L'hôtel compté soi-disant deux restaurant, mais aucun d’eux n’étaient ouvert lors de notre arrivée pour des raisons différentes à chaque fois, de jour en jour. Et personne ne nous l'a signalé lors de nos échanges avant réservation. Étant paraplégique si j'avais su qu'il n'y avait pas de restaurant je n'aurais jamais réservé. De plus le restaurant pour le petit-déjeuner se situer dans une salle ou la climatisation ne fonctionnait pas on aurait dit un sauna.

The staff were lovely and friendly. Easy to check in and very helpful. Convenient car park, although a bit expensive considering it required a hotel booking. The aircon was also excellent and allowed very low temperature settings. Alongside this the bed was comfortable and clean.

The place has clearly seen better days. It feels like zero investment has been made into the maintenance of the property. Stained carpets, heavily worn furniture, stains/marks across the bathroom, questionably coloured shower curtain. Hot water was not very reliable for someone who arrived late and left very early, clearly out of sync with their boilers. TV did not work and had no signal, no iron or ironing board in the room. Generally felt like a room worth half the price I paid.

It needs a spruce up. Carpets are stretched and worn. Dangerously frayed on the stairs. Lifts old and rickety. Bathroom needs complete refurbishment - are large enough for separate shower and bath. Difficult location to drive to given rather mad road layout created by the council.

Rooms were dated and need modernisation. Carpet was ripped and room wasn’t the cleanest. Found a nail clippings on the floor. Could have had proper curtains instead of the sliding doors as the sun shone through in the morning and lit the room up.

The staff were all welcoming, friendly, and pleasant throughout my stay. They were approachable, professional, and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived.

During my stay, I noticed a few areas that could be improved: There were stains on the carpet. The bedroom would benefit from having a bigger dustbin. The sofa appeared grubby and was ripped at the bottom. There was a fridge in the bedroom, but as it was empty, I'm not sure it served much purpose. The windows were dirty and could do with cleaning. The bathroom was generally clean; however, the grouting around the bottom of the shower was discoloured and would benefit from a thorough clean or replacement. The wooden disabled shower seat is showing signs of wear and should be replaced. A plastic seat may be a more hygienic and durable alternative. The bathroom heater was grubby and would benefit from being cleaned or replaced. Overall, with a few maintenance improvements, the room could provide a much better experience for guests.

It's a great location. Breakfast was okay. The best place to be was your bedroom.

The bar, reception area and breakfast area were very hot. Air conditioning seems to be broken. The bar had no draught beer as broken. Asked the staff for an extra chair. Which didn't arrive. Had to ask twice for extra tea and milk. Water in the bathroom sink was only just flowing. This was a disappointing visit. As we had used the hotel before this visit.

No hot water in the morning for a shower, breakfast at 08.00 had been under heat lights for too long and the tongs to self serve with were too hot to handle for the same reason. Th bar did not appear to be open but that did not affect me.

The location is great and the bed was comfortable.

In need of some tlc as it was scruffy and carpets were wrinkled and stretched. The lamp shades were hanging off and there were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. Unfortunately the air conditioning was not working- set to 16 but a warning showing the room was 29 degrees. Not a pleasant nights rest sadly.

The room smelled of cigarettes and the AC didn’t work, I stayed during the heatwave, opened the window but the noise of swansea finests kept me awake all night. Also I had difficulty breathing due to the smell indoors and outside due to my severe asthma. The room seemed pretty clean but the smell was really bad.

Overall the property was good but there were issues

Lack of walk in shower. We are over 70 and the shower/bath combi we considered too dangerous to use. In general the property was tired. The carpets were stained,and ill fitting. Breakfast was served in the piano bar.The a was not working and the room was too hot. The cooked food was under heat lamps, and hot, but the serving tools were kept under the same heat lamps so you needed to use large serviettes to serve the food. The toilet flush was slow and not as strong as I expected.

Great air conditioning - room was exceptionally cool in even 30°. Front desk staff were really friendly on check-in.

People in 509 was smoking in their rooms and I could smell it coming in my connecting door to my room they were also very noisy keeps me up till 3am. Not the hotel’s fault but inconsiderate people.

Staff were very helpful when we had a problem with 1st room. Towels were LOVELY!

1st night- twin beds, 1 mattress as hard as bricks, shower had no oompf and no hot water, had to rinse conditioner out of my hair in the sink. Asked for a different mattress, mentioned water problem,staff member pulled a face as if hadn’t heard this complaint before and upgraded us to a suite. Staff very friendly. 2nd night- bed better, but air con not working, spewing out 28 degrees! Both nights, very bad small of weed on the floor we were on, did tell staff, didn’t seem bothered

Air con wasn’t working in room on the 7th floor. Was given a fan and temp was 35 degrees in the room and outside temp was 30 degrees. The room smelt of cigarettes and so did the hallway. The bedroom carpet had stretched and had many ripples which was a trip hazard. The shower curtain had several rings missing so was gapping. The shower curtain pole was rusty. There was rust on the mirror. The bedside shelves were bent so putting a drink on them meant it could slip off. No plug sockets next to the bed. Bedroom window was covered in bed poo. Two small lifts and only one working, no more than 2 people at a time as overloaded if anymore then two.

The lifts are tiny. They take maximum 3 people but if you have a case then only 2. Only one of the two were working. It’s very tired, holes in the curtains, no hot water.

The location was really good. Close to the station and everything Swansea has to offer.

The hotel was full due to Swansea ironman which wasn't an issue in itself, however was informed by the staff that they could not give a room change due to this. We had no hot water in the shower it was at best luke warm. The main issue was the unbearable heat. Although each room did have AC it was totally ineffective. We didn't manage to get any sleep due to the heat.

A restaurant, not sure why it wasn’t open - refurbishment - meant I had to go looking for one. Price of stay quite high. Some room refurbishment req. scratched furniture- broken catch on public toilet CarPark requires clear signage.

The young lady on reception was lovely, very friendly and helpful. The Vietnamese lady working in the piano room where breakfast is served, was one of the loveliest people ive met. Very bubbly and chatty.

The hotel was clean but definitely needs a refurbishment, carpets are very poor, the carpet in our room was raised, safety concerns. In desperate need for air cone, expecially in the piano room, floor 1.
