The pool is stunning. The shower was amazing. Breakfast was really good. Staff on reception (girls) were really lovely and the staff on the pool bar was also really nice. Bed very comfy and room was cleaned daily.

Elevator kept breaking. Pool steps were almost falling off. One lady at breakfast was a little rude. (Older lady) staff on check out took our rubbish, put some in the bin and took the rest home and put it in his car while we were waiting for our taxi. Half eaten cookies and open water and cakes. At least wait until we have left.

absolutely lovely hotel, pool area is small but as it’s a small hotel there was always sun beds available, staff were amazing especially andre on reception who recommended us places to go out/ eat at.

Hotel was spotless and the breakfast though a little limited was excellent

Obwohl sich direkt nebenan eine Karaokebar befindet, war es am Abend überraschend ruhig. Von der Musik war nichts zu hören, sodass wir ungestört schlafen konnten. Auch das Personal beim Frühstück war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir Raquel, die uns sehr herzlich betreut und uns außerdem tolle Tipps für Restaurants am Abend in der Umgebung gegeben hat.

Für ein 4-Sterne-Hotel hätten wir uns beim Frühstücksbuffet etwas mehr Auswahl und Abwechslung gewünscht. Leider gab es jeden Tag weitgehend dasselbe Brot, und an einem Tag waren keine Croissants mehr verfügbar. Auch die Qualität der Früchte könnte verbessert werden – die Wassermelone war einmal bereits sehr weich und nicht mehr wirklich frisch. Insgesamt hätten wir bei einem Hotel dieser Kategorie beim Frühstück etwas mehr erwartet.

We enjoyed our stay at Vila Maria. However, while there were some good things about the hotel, we would not return here. This is a small hotel with bright, clean and large rooms. The bed was comfortable but there were a few obvious things that were missing in the room: there were no glasses or bottles of free water; and the bathroom lacked sufficient places to hang towels. (Also, a note for non-couples, the bathroom has no privacy at all). These might seem like small bug bears, but in a hotel that is positioning itself as an upmarket destination in a saturated local market, they were conspicuous and wanting. Breakfast was good but limited. The outdoor pool on the roof was pleasant, if small. There is a lovely view to the see. But a very short playlist was played from outdoor speakers on continuous loop, which was tedious. Inside, this hotel is very peaceful; outside, it is not. While it is near to the beach, it is situated on a busy road opposite sport and Karaoke bars. The surrounding area is extremely busy with cars and tourists and heavily urbanised with hotels, resorts and clubs. This does not make for a relaxing holiday destination. A final note is that the air conditioning in our room was not working on our final night, although we were told at check out that this was a hotel-wide problem, which was being sorted.

WiFi kept disconnecting but was fine.

View from rooftop & the staff couldn’t do enough for you. I was a solo female traveller & the staff always took the time to have a chat & a wee laugh. Although I didn’t like to be reminded about how inebriated I came in one night! 🫣🤭 I was happy to spend all day on my terrace without even leaving the hotel, the place is spotless!

No meals or snacks during the day or evening. In saying that, there are plenty of choices nearby & easy to get a takeaway delivery if you wanted to. Staff were more than happy to supply plates & cutlery. Bit disappointing they ran out of beer when I was up at the rooftop bar .. but it was the weekend of the World Cup final .. and yes, I am Scottish 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 but wasn’t my fault they were dry of beer, I wasn’t in Boston! 🤭

Das Zimmer lag in der Nähe von Karaoke Bars und dort lief Musik bis halb drei Uhr morgens. Man hat mir allerdings sofort ein anderes Zimmer angeboten. Da ich aber nur zwei weitere Nächte dort übernachtet habe habe ich das Angebot nicht angenommen. Es wäre sonst zu komplex geworden. Aber insofern war es meine alleinige Entscheidung das Zimmer weiter zu nutzen

Deux nuits avec un air climatisée défectueux et la deuxieme nuits me faire réveiller a 2h30 du matin et a 4heures par un chien qui aboyait pendant 20 minutes. Au prix que j'ai payé. C'est important d'avoir des bonnes nuits.

Pequeno almoço muito bom, boa variedade e com a atendente Raquel muito prestativa e simpática. Embora em certos horários de pico faltam utensílios básicos, como pratos, talheres, copos e xícaras.

Na primeira noite tive que dormir num calor insuportável de 29/30 graus. Fui tentar fazer uma reclamação e o atendente me informou que não poderia fazer nada pois a gerente estava em dia de folga, sem ninguém para substitui-la e a manutenção do ar condicionado não poderia ser acionada naquele horário ou seja, um descaso total com o hóspede. Como é possível um hotel 4 estrelas não possuir um gerente de turno responsável e uma equipe de manutenção de plantão? Fiquei 2 dias e não consegui em nenhum horário falar com nenhum gerente. No dia seguinte um outro atendente tentou explicar a situação e complicou mais o acontecido, dizendo que o hotel não possuía ar condicionado e sim um climatizador central e que este teria dado problema no dia anterior. O frigobar do quarto parecia um microondas, deixando as bebidas super quentes.

The hotel was very modern and the reception staff particularly the lady, but I can't recall her name, we exceptional in the help she offered us.

Should change the description. On request to front desk for iron and board also spoons and glasses the reply was wow you have a lot of requests !! Etiquette training required for team Pool was also amazing though couple of points for improvement Towels ran out was told to go to reception and ask of they had any again etiquette training required Ask for sangria at pool Bar to be told cannot as we don't have fruit ! Please ask bar pool servers to stay of mobile phone as guests are waiting to be served at bar Thanks

This Hotel was in the perfect location and in walking distance of everything, (there are also tuk-tuk’s readily available and cheap along with uber). The rooftop swimming pool is gorgeous. We were a group of 10 and lucky enough to get a sun bed every day, though it might not always be possible. It was great early evening, after 6 o’clock, the bar closes and you can take your own alcohol until 8pm. You can walk to smaller beaches within the immediate area or take a longer stroll to the main beach in The Old town. There is plenty to keep you occupied. The Stripp was in walking distance and super busy with lots of free alcohol , we had a really great time and would definitely go back and stay at this hotel. The rooms were a decent size, the balconies were great to dry your clothes, but not much of a view. Breakfast was simple but great, we had fresh omelettes each day with fresh fruit and pastries. Staff were lovely.

You are asked to pay €150 cash deposit on check in (for damages) which I wasn’t aware of or had forgotten about, they will not allow you to use a card. This wiped out most of our groups cash meaning we had to withdraw extra, it is returned at the end. Just be prepared and make sure you allow for it. The bathrooms are a strange set up, we were 10 girls sharing twin rooms, there is no specific toilet door, it is shared with the shower and slides across, it is made from an opaque glass. If someone is using the shower at the same time as the other person using the toilet, then it will only close one side. This didn’t particularly bother me because I have always shared with my best friend, but there were other members of the group that barely knew each other and this was awkward for some of them, though they adapted. It may also be uncomfortable for some couples that particularly want privacy using the toilet. This would not stop me going back to use the Hotel but it was something worth mentioning. Things that could be changed quite easily with the rooms, there needs to be more hangers in the wardrobe, we had five between two of us. It would also be worthwhile getting bedside drawers instead of a block piece of furniture, there was very little space to put your clothes which meant my friend lift out of her suitcase.

We weren't able to have the breakfast as we leaving early the next day...The hotel was lovely and clean and the Pool area was lovely although we didn't get to use it for long as we were staying due to a cancelled flight! We ended up staying 2 nights and were very pleased with what we saw and experienced! The staff were pleasant and the rooms and beds were very clean, modern and comfortable.. we would definitely stay again in the future.

The staff is lovely and very keen to help. There is a nice terrace where you can enjoy the nice weather. The breakfast is nice, little options though.The pool area has a nice view of the city and a small bar with drinks.

There is no food service apart from the breakfast. A few drinks options in the pool bar. The fridge was not cooling up at all, so we couldn’t have cold drinks in the room during our stay., that was awful with 30C outside We checked with the staff but were told that is a problem they have. They daily cleaning could be improved. They should clean more in depth (especially the floor). The refill the free drinks/sachets was only done at arrival. Something to take into consideration is that is pretty close to night bars and people can be talking next to your window.If partying is not part of your plan, it could be disturbing your sleep

Lovely modern hotel, ideal for couples. Close to beach and bars and restaurants. Comfortable beds, all rooms have a balcony or terrace area. Rooftop pool and bar area with stunning views. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was always fresh and beautifully presented.

The location is close to busy bars and can be noisy until 2/3am. We had not visited Albufeira for many years, let’s just say it is not aimed at the over 40s…. I do think the hotel should re think its policy regarding groups. Our first few days were peaceful around the pool, just couples quietly enjoying the facilities. A group of 12 arrived, and the peace was shattered. Drunken, loutish behaviour by a few in their group. The rest of the group proceeded to smoke/ vape around the pool, rather than the designated areas. It just spoils the atmosphere of a boutique adults only resort.

Laut in der Umgebung viele Bars bis spät in der Nacht Lärm. Balkon Tür ließ sich nicht schließen trotz Info wurde sie nicht repariert. Auch wurde uns der Weg zum Strand über den Straßen Weg erklärt. Ganz in der Nähe war aber ein Fußweg.

Było bardzo głośno - po drugiej stronie ulicy od naszego pokoju było karaoke, ludzie się darli od 22 do 4 nad ranem codziennie (poza weekendem). Słychać było nawet przez korki w uszach.

Die Lage und die kostenfreie Parkplätze an der Straße. Die Sicht auf dem Pooldeck war ebenfalls schön.

Pooldeck war schon in die Jahre gekommen. Fließen kaputt und der trübe Pool. Teilweise schwammen kleine Fusseln und sogar Papier drin.

A zona é muito central mas algo ruidosa a noite. Felizmente o hotel tem um ótimo isolamento de ruído, por isso não incomodou o descanso.

Very noisy area with bars open til 4am across the street and strong winds meant you could hear the beds at the pool above our room moving around all night and this kept us up. Asked for harder pillows but did not receive any. Sliding glass door between toilet and shower meant it did not feel very private

The hotel is modern and indoors very clean, with nice rooms. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple, but done very well. The pool has an amazing view out to sea.

The pool area could do with a little attention, some cracked floor tiles need replacing, sun beds could do with a wipe down daily as resident seagull soils everywhere regularly. Rooms at front of the hotel hear the very noisy karaoke bar well in to the early hours, but the hotel has clearly tried to combat this with decent double glazing… it’s just ridiculously loud!

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with the warmest welcome from staff and this continued all through our holiday made us feel so at home always smiling and chatting away to us and each and every staff member was so helpful ,the hotel has a beautiful smell throughout the public areas ,everywhere very clean , beautiful views from the pool area ,close to shops bars and restaurants ,rooms are spacious really enjoyed our holiday 😀

A drying rack on the balcony would have been helpful and a hotel bar would have been great

The hotel is a beautiful design, boutique style, all white and with a very beachy vibe. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is superb with everything you need to get your day started. The pool and sundeck are fabulous with an outstanding view of trees and the blue ocean. We loved out large, modern, light filled room.

Ubicación en zona ruidosa a pesar de habernos dado habitación “más” silenciosa. Hotel bonito pero si no se es de sueño profundo aconsejable ir con tapones de oídos.

To svalereder på balkongen genererte veldig mye fuglebæsj/møkk som ikke ble vasket daglig. Do med glassvegg og glassdør gjør at det er veldig lytt😬 AC var skrudd på for å gi varme, ikke mulig å få kjøling i rommet og 27 varmegrader inne på natta. De endrer det om sommeren. Veldig merkelig.

New, clean and good looking hotel. Clean and nice rooms, friendly staff. Beautiful view on the roof, with the bar and pool. Tasty breakfast. Garage parking is available, but we managed to get the free parking spot outside - lots of parking spaces, if you’re lucky!

Staff from reception, polite attentive and professional, the ladies who prepared and served breakfast couldn't have been more nice , one dark haired lady actually noticed i ate scrambled eggs and bacon each morning, on our last day , she took it upon herself to make me fresh breakfast as we were a little late ,so kind ,in return I think I made her day with 12 🌹 xx . A really nice place and kind decent professional staff that are a credit to the owners.

Sehr sauber, nettes Personal, leckeres Frühstück und gut eingerichtete Zimmer. Frühstück hat nicht die größte Auswahl, dafür sind alle Sachen aber sehr lecker. Die Zimmer sind schön groß mit Balkon, sauberes Bad. Gemütliche Betten vorhanden, eine nette Skybar und ein sehr schöner Pool. Es war super:)
