An unexpectedly smart hotel, with an expansive lobby, a good (although expensive…) bar and lovely food. The staff are polite, friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and commendably quiet, given that the hotel is basically alongside one of Heathrow’s runways!
£14 for a large glass of wine? But I guess that’s London for you.
Great hotel and staff 👌
Situation
Room allocated had a camp bed in it - travelling as a couple? No bedside table on one side of double bed. Shower cubicle was shallow and prone to overflowing. Room more suited for couple with child?
Location is good for my purposes but the parking is why I stayed there. It is just a mainstream hotel like all the others . Now they have blocked off at least 200 or more parking for private use it is impossible to find a parking if you arrive after 8pm. The staff pretend it isn’t a problem until you push and at the moment allowed you into the private parking but this won’t last long as being barricaded off . I won’t be back . I will be going somewhere that has parking and the same generic rooms for the price
The parking ! What was the selling feature - great and easy parking is no longer . They have blocked off a huge section - at least 200 plus parking as and they are being rented for private use . Now totally impossible to find a parking after 7/8pm. Multiple people with same issue and staff clearly being told to act as if they don’t know and insist there must be . Until you tell them to come and find you one . In fact another customer in line told me they showed her to the private section which is still under construction for the barricades . I won’t be back - can go to another mainstream hotel with better parking or prices
It was good until 5am when we were woken up.
The lobby smelt like fish and we were woken up at 5am by the cleaning ladies slamming the doors and yelling to each other from the rooms they were cleaning! Not so pleasant when you have an early flight.
Very good service and good breakfast
Rooms need a little tlc
Ideal location for airport. Good size rooms.
Bed a little soft.
A superb hotel for plane spotting and an excellent location for London Heathrow Airport. Superb facilities, lovely food, room was clean and very comfortable. The airport shuttle bus service is great, and we had a wonderful short stay.
Nothing to dislike
It’s very convenient for Heathrow with an excellent restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Great service and very comfortable beds.
Nothing
Staff was very attentive and pleasant. Our stay was very comfortable and breakfast was good.
The front desk wasn’t very organised it took over 30mins to check in. Even when we got to the desk the person checking us in walked away in the middle of checking us in for 15mins
Lovely hotel
La vue sur piste !!
Rien
Bar was way over priced
Amazing property to stay at especially the runway view
Only fault is the fact that the shuttle bus is a whopping £7 per person which I personally think is a robbery considering hotels in the states provide complimentary shuttle buses The journey was quick around 6 mins to the terminal making this ride over £1 per minute Other than that I cannot fault the hotel
The hotel was very clean, comfy beds, great soundproofing. The staff were all very friendly and helpful
Nothing
Booked a runway room at an extra cost to be told that room not available. Given another room with no lift facility so had to drag suitcases up stairs
Beautiful and convenient property with all necessities
Some lack of attention to detail, like curtains that didn’t close
Proximity to the airport and Hoppa bus service available
Everything was good
The room was lovely.
The breakfast was quite poor. Scrambled eggs tasted as though they were powdered eggs. Very little selection of fruit and yogurts.
Hotel pickup at terminal took us to hotel front door. About 30 mins drive. Room number on ground level but still stairs made access for some with luggage difficult. Staff helped which was good. Seemed well staffed.
Close to airport for an early morning flight.
Dirty floor, broken lampshades, dirty bathroom with old worn-out fixtures.
Great location, great value, bery convenient shuttle
Food was poor for the price
Comfy beds
Kettle did not work in our room
I honestly don't expect much of airport hotels, but this one is an exception. The room was made ready for us very early (we had just come in from a red-eye overnighter), and it was a fabulous room. The bed wá comfy, the thermostat worked, and we belatedly got our good night's sleep. Then we had a great meal in the restaurant! Couldn't ask for more. Way to go, Marriott!
Not a damn thing.
Beds wasn't very comfy
Shuttle bus to airport and location, breakfast was excellent
Wasn’t anything not to like
Being closer to the airport, the property makes it easier for Traveller to move swiftly with their traveling schedules.
The hotel is accommodating and offers comfortable rooms as well as a pleasant lounge area. A key highlight is that some rooms provide direct views of the planes, which can be an appealing feature. However, this should be communicated clearly, as not all rooms offer a view of the runway.
Lilly the reception manager was excellent in resolving a booking error, very helpful.
Hotel was in perfect location to what I needed. Very clean room. Staff very friendly and helpful.
I liked everything.
Everything
Nothing
Great location staff were excellent and perfect for what we needed it for . Staff gave us adjoining rooms too which was perfect
Nothing apart from wish the airport transfers were a bit more frequent
Great location, very good breakfast and restaurant, good value for money.
Rooms could do with refurbishing, as our room was a little bland.
The room and the hotel itself is spacious. Very comfortable and an ideal location for Heathrow.
Every time I turned over in bed the lights came on and I couldn't find instructions to stop it.
Location adjacent to Airport. Big car park some staff were outstanding like Valencia in the Restaurant
Check in was extremely slow. Receptionist was a bit unsure of things. She told us that she would book us into the Redtsurant at 18.55 but when we reported the Frintvof House lady didn’t have our booking. I also paid car parking and she said it was sorted. When we arrived at the Barrier it didn’t work so we had to call and we were then let through. The bathroom was too small and anyone with mobility issues would have difficulty getting in and out of the bath when showering
Hotel looks very attractive as you walk into entrance and very clean throughout entire hotel. Easy to get to for airport, very welcoming helpful, efficient staff. Nice clean tidy room with comfortable beds.
The shower/bath plug was faulty.
Great hotel. Have stayed here many times and never disappointed.
Nothing.
Good size room and comfortable bed. Good facilities in room including a fridge, kettle, iron hairdrier. Good value breakfast and selection including for vegetarian and healthy options.
Too much noise especially since this is a travel stop over hotel. The cleaning of rooms started 6am with talking and loud banging of doors and hoovers. So was woken up early when needed rest between legs of journey. Event though had asked for quiet location. Despite the positives the noise would stop me returning.
Location, on-site restaurant, friendly and helpful staff, and clean room.
No complaints.
Location, on-site restaurant, friendly snd responsive staff, and clean room.
No complaints.
Didn’t love a single thing about the property. Extremely outdated everything.
Booked a room with a runway view, tho I was given one on the second floor with barely any view of the planes. My room had a door to the next room and the people in that room were super loud, I mean I could hear them fart at night. No soundproofing whatsoever. Tv from the 90s, coffee machine broken at breakfast, had to use room key to operate the lifts.
Convenient to Heathrow and rental car sites
Access to the shower/bath was a big step up for someone with a disability/mobility problems
Location was excellent, room was very clean and comfortable
Nothing to dislike. Extra coffee/ tea / milk would have been good
The receptionists were very friendly and very helpful
The shower tray in our room 2508 looked dirty but I think it was just very badly worn.
Great location for Heathrow airport. Staff very helpful. Very clean and modern rooms.
We always stay at The Renaissance when travelling to the USA as it's near to terminal 3 and has great facilities, including good food, airport shuttle and very clean and comfy rooms.
Nothing. All good.
Close to Heathrow. Hoppa bus was easy to locate. Very clean hotel.
Why are the room doors so narrow?
Location is really good, 15 mins to any terminal. I would recommend Uber if you have more than 1 person to share the bill will, as the Bus the hotel recommends is just the public bus. McDonald’s, and a local English Pub within 5 mins walk, and even an aviation shop where you can buy model airplanes. If you really love planes ask for a runway view before booking or ring the hotel cause the views of the airport side rooms are out of this world!
My bed was very uneven and needs replacing but my Dads bed was fine so I just got unlucky. Still had a good sleep it was just a bit lumpy
Love the hotel, love the location to the airport with the hoppa bus shuttle, but it's gotten a lot more expensive in the last 6 or 7 years compared to the other hotels nearby. Yet still, I still choose Renaissance... For now.
All very good otberwise
The staff are lovely, the beds very comfy and the room was great. Clean, airy and good value
The shuttle buses are rubbish, dont turn up on time and very unreliable. We were crammed in like sardines and the whole experience was awful. Waited almost an hour and a half for one, with crowds of peeps waiting. Taxis over £30 for a short drive so not impressed.
It’s our go to hotel for flights from Heathrow Love it
Nothing identified
Location , restaurant , staff ,
Beds sunk in the middle on both Windows need replacing
飛行機の発着陸が見える部屋で、眺めが最高だった。 バスタブがらあった。部屋が広かった。
無料のペットボトルの水がまずい
That you can see the planes from the window in the restaurant and it is nice and close to the airport.
Firstly the receptionist was complaining that she had been on the desk all by herself all day. Then she asked us if we minded carry are bags up some stairs to our room. We had a lot of heavy bags and asked if there was another room and she said there was. We were put in the noisiest room with air conditioners making a noise all night and I couldn’t sleep. Also a loud noise from the fridge in the room. I had to ask for another room late into the night as I couldn’t put up with it.
Didn’t return money won’t stay ever again
Great runway views and good location
Nothing
Love everything. The room is fab, the food is great, the location is fantastic, the staff are great.. I always stay here now when I pick my son up from Heathrow.
The tea. I only like Yorkshire tea.
The view
Location and view
Close to the airport, very clean and comfortable, staff attentive and friendly.
Spacious lobby, good air on, good signage and friendly staff. Good links to Heathrow
Nothing
Cleanliness and superb service.
Nothing.
Clean and close to terminal. Staff were lovely.
Easy to access Terminal 2 from the hotel which was the purpose of the overnight stay.
Location and access to terminals, on site restaurants
Bit slow checking in
Good location, friendly staff
Excellent enjoyed the stay thanks to the front desk very efficient
Nothing really good
All staff were first class - attentive and personable. Especially reception - young guy Nilan (I think) was great.
No issues
I loved the location and the hotel
The nasty surprise of 45 pounds over night parking charge that I didn’t expect as booking.com said this was 15 pounds per night
We’ve stayed before Love the executive suite This time travelled up from Cornwall Very dissapointed
3 adults arrived! No bed sheets anywhere for sofa bed 1 pillow Coffee machine missing unable to make a hot drink Seems maid didn’t do her job correctly 1 bathrobe 1 slipper for 3 adults Very disappointed! Also told we could go to exec room for drinks and snacks We had driven 6 hrs from Cornwall Tried to get in no seats why pay extra when you can’t get in room for drinks etc😡
Bed very comfy the staff were very friendly and welcoming toom was perfect before my lon haul flight to Australia i would thoroughly recommend to anyone
Nothing
Position and food service
Large room, king bed, nice outlook
Shower over bath
This hotel is an excellent choice. Convenient to Heathrow with regular shuttles. Clean, comfortable rooms. Food options on site.
No instructions for the thermostat. They quickly sent a maintenance man to show us how to use, but we never quite mastered it.
It was near the airport and clean. The restaurant had tasty food. The staff was nice.
I arrived at 8:00 pm and my room was not ready until 9:22 pm. I paid to have a room and relax. It was extremely frustrating to get there and have to sit in the lobby/restaurant and waste time when I was absolutely exhausted. THEN, there was no elevator or ramp to get to the floor with my room. So I had to lug my 50lb suitcase and my 25 lb backpack up a flight of stairs, by myself. I'm a small woman, so that was very hard for me. They apologized my room wasn't ready and gave me a free drink, but all I wanted to do was collapse and go to sleep. That was not acceptable, and I would like a partial refund, since the thing I paid for was not available for the entire time that I paid for it.
Breakfast was good.
Easy to get Hoppa bus from terminal 5 and a different Hoppa back to terminal 2 on same return ticket. Hotel is big and surprisingly quiet given how close to runways and big road. Easy check on and out. Decent pub dinner at The Pheasant just a 10 minute walk away. Hotel also has its own restaurant if you want to stay in.
Well, it's an airport hotel location but otherwise very good for an overnight stay between flights.
Conveniently located for T3. Great room overlooking runway. One of the party were upgraded as guests of the day so we had access to the lounge which was great
-
Location near airport and good breakfast and friendly staff .
The elevator to our room was out of service and we had to carry all our heavy luggage up a large flight of stairs . Also the shuttle to airport and taxi service was expensive for a 5 min ride.
Friendly staff. Excellent suite on the 3rd floor; comfortable room/ bed . Shower excellent . Great value breakfast
Absolutely nothing
Very handy for the airport, and there is a shuttle. Room was quiet, comfortable and clean. We have stayed before so we knew what to expect. We stayed one night and left our car parked here, which was more convenient than using an airport car park.
It's quite a big building and the room was quite far from the lift (elevator).
Location and facilities
Nothing
Staff, particularly Louise at check-in are fantastic. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is very easy to access via Hoppa for LHR
The outdoor 'smoking section' is much too near the front doors and bus stop for the Hoppa. The corridor outside my room was very noisy - other guests shouting
Beautifully clean and modern room. One of the comfiest beds we've ever slept in. The food in the restaurant was excellent. We would definitely use this hotel again.
Not a thing!
The location is convenient to Heathrow
We arrived at 5 pm, there was a mixup and apparently either they gave away our room or it wasn't ready--I could only get so much from the frantic hushed whispers. They put us down a corridor that wasn't the ground floor or the first floor (second floor to Americans), but an 'inbetween floor' that still required us to *carry* our heavy luggage because the tiny lift for this area was broken. No offer to assist with bags. Then down two very long and winding corridors where no one seemed to be. An hour later someone attempted to enter the room with a key and then knocked. They didn't identify themselves as hotel staff when I asked who was there so I didn't open the door. An hour after that the "manager" called to find out who I was because there was no name associated with the room I was in. I gave my info again. I'm not sure why staff wanted to enter this room as it was clean, but maybe they rest in this distant ghost location? The bed was hard--not the worst or the best, but not great. The shower was terrible 5 seconds of warm water followed by 5 seconds of cold water back to warm back to cool. The whole time. We went to get breakfast as the staff told us when we checked in that it was included. Come to find out it was not. I told all this to the front desk, and they did not care at all. Just 'sorry for all that'. I can't believe this is a Marriott property. There are many choices in this neighborhood, pick another one and avoid this place.
Schoon, snelle check in en out
Er is geen shuttlebus naar Terminal 4. Ik heb een airporthotel geboekt voor het gemak en moest van en naar de airport alsnog een taxi boeken.
Tesla charging
Very convenient for Heathrow, comfortable beds and very quiet
Sehr freundlich und das Hotel hat umgehend auch unsere email beantwortet. Danke Bei Ankunft sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Easy access for T2. Comfy bed and lovely and clean.
Nothing
Bien situé, chambre assez spacieuse et vue sur les pistes.
The service was excellent. Everyone was helpful.
The price of the hotel shuttle to the airport terminal was very highly priced.
Spacious room, comfortable bed, really clean room. Great runway views
Although I had a runway view, it was only partially due to our room being in the corner of the building. I wish our room had been on the front for a full view
Check-in staff were great as was our room. Unfortunately, we arrived late and left early, so were not able to fully relax and enjoy the hotel.
My grandson (14) wasn't too keen on breakfast. In particular he commented that the scrambled eggs weren't very nice!
All good
All good
Large rooms , Aircon works, and extremely close to everything for a layover
The identification of the building at night creates confusion.
Really impressed with this hotel. The room was large, very spacious and comfortable, with high-quality materials and fittings throughout. The views over the planes were amazing, a real highlight. We didn’t try breakfast, but based on the size and quality of the room alone, we’d happily stay here again.
The car park is big and convenient, though £15 per day feels a bit steep.
