Lovely property in a nice location.
From the moment we arrived, at midnight, in the worst storm ever, we were greeted by the owners with umbrellas and refreshments. From this, we knew we had chosen the best accommodation for our stay on the Amalfi Coast
There was nothing to dislike in this hotel whatsoever.
I want to thank everyone at Majestic for making our stay special in every way. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the attention to detail was fantastic. Everyone within the hotel was attentive and it was little things that made a difference. We stayed at Majestic for 10 days and I wish it could have been longer. The menu at lunch was perfect, the roof top bar scenic and special, and the location perfect if you want to be outside of the city centre but not too far away. From management all the way through to housekeeping PERFECT IN EVERY WAY
Everythink. plus oh my god. The michellen star restarant there are no words for how amazing it was. If you ever go to to this hotel make sure you have a sit down meal at Don geppi, It is the most amazung experiance. And the food is quite good to. 5 star. I went to 5 diffeert places in italy and this was the best place by far. There are many more points why this is an amaźing hotel but i aint got the time.Just go there you will see. Enjoy like we did.

Staff were friendly and welcoming
Bed was not very soft
Very clean and staff were fantastic
No shuttle service provided to drop you off at sorrento, train station or airport.
All the staff was so kind and always available for any request. The hotel with the garden, the gym, an amazing bar and rooftoop is wonderful and quite and relaxing at the same time. The position 2 km far from Sorrento is strategic and allows to achieve all the destinations on the coast. Absolutely recommended
This hotel was just beautiful and I cannot recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with outstanding service. All of the staff, from reception to bar and dining staff and cleaning staff were warm, friendly and highly attentive. The pool area was so peaceful, the quality of food and cocktails exceptional and the rooms were magnificent. We had incredible views from our balcony, and the rooftop bar had spectacular views and top class service. We wish we could have stayed longer! An immaculate and authentic hotel, 25min walk from Sorrento but has enough restaurants nearby. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful hotel. Exceptional service, location was great. Staff super helpful and cleaning service went above and beyond each day. Can’t fault the service at all. Pool, rooftop and restaurant were amazing. Definitely recommend
Nothing really - bar was quite expensive
Fantastic hotel just outside the centre of Sorrento. Room was kept clean everyday. All of the staff are welcoming and polite. The pool was a good size and kept clean. There were sun loungers available, with option for full sun all day or shaded areas. Overall would recommend to anyone and would love to stay there again in the future.
Lovely location, away from the crowds. Authentic village atmosphere in area. Loved the balcony aspect overlooking the rear garden it made the stay so enjoyable, the bird life, the peaceful outlook. Very clean rooms, great staff. A very enjoyable stay.
Nothing to complain about at all.
Clean, great location and lovely pool
Breakfast is the same everyday, no water station and they don't replace water or coffee etc in your room and also only allowed one pool towel for your entire stay
Staff, location, rooms were clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was basic.
I have travelled extensively and stayed at many hotels over the years, but I can honestly say that I have never experienced hospitality and genuine care quite like this. From the very first day, before my accident, the service at Majestic Palace was outstanding. The hotel is beautiful, the facilities are excellent, the food is delicious, and the rooftop bar is a wonderful place to enjoy the sunset. Sorrento and the surrounding area are absolutely stunning. But what truly makes this hotel special is the people. Unfortunately, during my stay I had an accident and fractured my ankle on the Path of Gods. Being injured far from home was frightening, and what followed at the hospital was a very traumatic experience. I felt rather alone and had to manage much of the situation myself. Coming back to Majestic Palace afterwards was an enormous relief. The staff immediately stepped in and did everything they could to help me. They helped me get around, carried me up the entrance stairs when I couldn't manage them myself, and constantly made sure I was safe and comfortable. Even the smallest things meant so much. The husband of one of the staff members came to fix my room door so it would not automatically close, simply because it made things easier for me with my injured foot. I will never forget that. The care never felt like ordinary hotel service. It felt like genuine human kindness. I later noticed the hotel's motto: “LET US TAKE CARE OF YOU.” And I can honestly say that this is not just a slogan. They truly live by it. They turned what could have been only a frightening and traumatic experience into something I will remember with warmth and gratitude. I was sad that my early flight meant I couldn't say a proper goodbye to everyone. I would have loved to thank them in person – and give them a big hug. I very much hope to return to Sorrento once my ankle has healed, see more of this beautiful area, and return to Majestic Palace under much happier circumstances. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Loredana and the entire team. You are what makes this hotel truly exceptional. Five stars without hesitation! ❤️
Great breakfast, beautiful hotel, great attentive staff and perfect location. Such good value for money.
Nothing it was actually all great, I would definitely come back.
Great hotel, no complaints! I definitely recommend booking a Superior Room for the best experience. The staff is incredibly friendly, everything is spotless, the restaurant is so good, and the pool is amazing. I would absolutely stay here again.
⭐☆☆☆☆ I was extremely disappointed with my stay. When my friends and I arrived to check in at 3pm, our rooms weren’t even ready. Unfortunately, things only got worse once we finally got inside. Every one of us had been allocated the same dreadful basement rooms on the lowest floor of the hotel. There were no balconies, no sea views and certainly nothing like the rooms advertised. Instead, my “view” was of an artificial hedge. It honestly felt like we’d been given the cheapest rooms in the entire hotel. After complaining, we were told that if we wanted a room with a balcony and sea view, we would have to pay even more money to upgrade. Considering how much we’d already paid for our holiday, this was completely unacceptable. We later discovered these basement rooms hadn’t even been refurbished, and it’s no surprise they don’t appear on the hotel’s website. The room itself had several issues. The shower wasn’t hot enough in the evenings, leaving me with a cold shower. My friend had no air conditioning or electricity in her basement room either, making the situation even worse. The rooftop bar experience was equally disappointing. Earlier that evening, we had all purchased cocktails there before going out for dinner. When six of us returned later simply to relax with glasses of tap water, enjoy the music and admire the evening views, a waiter told us we couldn’t stay unless we were buying drinks, but that he would “make an exception just for tonight.” I found this incredibly rude. We had already spent money in the bar only a few hours earlier and were paying guests staying in the hotel. After spending an additional £300 just to upgrade to a room with a decent view, being made to feel unwelcome while quietly enjoying a glass of water in our own hotel was unacceptable and left a very poor impression. Breakfast was bland, uninspiring and lacked variety. Staff were difficult to find, and service throughout the hotel was disappointing. To make matters worse, the food and drinks were extremely overpriced for the quality on offer. Overall, this hotel fell far below expectations. The rooms, customer service, facilities and overall experience simply did not justify the price. I would not stay here again and certainly wouldn’t recommend it.
We loved this hotel, it's like stepping into the 1920s. Rooms are basic but clean and have everything you need. Pool is very nice, though a lot of it is in shade but in height of summer it is needed. Staff are excellent, food great but the stand out for us was the rooftop bar. It only opens from 630 but the view of the sunset, the drinks and food are well worth staying out of Sorrento for. Just to clear up any confusion, this is not in Sorrento itself but the town before. It is certainly not a leisurely walk, especially if you go along the main road. We went in July and it was baking so if we attempted the walk, we would have been a sweaty mess by the time we got to Sorrento. We chose to get the bus instead, which is easy and cheap. The bus stop is just at the top of the road, just an EAV sign on the wall outside a shop. The buses are every 10/15 mins and drop you off by train station near the heart of Sorrento. Would recommend here if you are coming for more than a long weekend as it's nice to get away from the crowds and prices of Sorrento, as fantastic as it is.
The pool, the bar, the rooftop bar, the garden. beautiful hotel!
It would be perfect if it had a spa.
Bedrooms were fantastic and kept so clean by the great staff, pool area was lovely, roof top has some great views
It wad a bit noisy in the mornings, but nothing that would put us off visiting again
This hotel exceeded our expectations, we intended to use it mainly as a base but the pool allowed us to spend a few days at the hotel. The hotel interior is beautiful & the sunset bar is stunning - I doubt there's a much better panoramic view of the Sorrento hills or sunset. The pool is large and clean with plenty of beds for guests. The rooms are rustic and clean. It's a pleasant 30 minute walk or a 5 minute bus or Sorrento (the bus stop is a 5 minute walk up the road). The breakfast is pretty basic but does the job. Excellent variety of drinks, pretty expensive but so is everywhere else. I would absolutely stay here again!
I'm really clutching at straws here as this hotel was fantastic, but three 'even better ifs' would be. 1. Addition of a gym/fitness centre. 2. It would be useful if you could order from your phone via the QR menu when around the pool. 3. There was no iron in the room, but there was a steamer (which wasn't great).
The hotel and staff were amazing. The food was decent I'd give it a 6.5/10. Drinks were made to perfection. Rooms were very clean and functional. The view was nothing short of breathtaking.
We told them our TV/Netflix didn't work, they sent someone he didn't fix it, he said he'd come back and he didn't. The location was okay, it was a 20-30 minute walk on tight side walks to get to the main town square.
When we arrived here we thought the hotel seemed really lovely. The downstairs areas are all really opulent with their decor. Unfortunately they must have blown the budget on the downstairs because the bedrooms were really basic and quite depressing. The air conditioning in the bedrooms doesn’t work properly and we reported this to reception but they didn’t seem to fix it. One of my main issues with this hotel is how many hidden extras you have to pay for. My daughter asked the pool bar staff for a glass of tap water and they tried to charge her €3! In a hotel like this in a hot season they really should have jugs of water available. The breakfast was really poor, but you could pay extra for the nicer food! There’s a surprise! The bar on the roof “Dry martini” was a complete joke. The furniture is cold and uncomfortable and the whole bar is trying to be something it’s not! They think they are a swanky bar but it’s tacky and soulless. The exact same drinks that you can get in the downstairs bar are way more expensive in the roof top bar. They tried to charge us €16 for an apple juice for my daughter. We went to the rooftop bar with our teenage kids and were having a drink and playing cards, then the waiter told us we were not allowed to play cards and gave us no explanation to why not. It was laughable. I actually thought the waiter was joking! We realised along the way that there were many more silly “rules” that ruin this hotel. The pool is 3 metres deep but you’re not allowed to jump in or dive! What’s the point in having a 3 metres deep deep pool? My daughter got shouted at for walking through reception in her bikini even though we were never told that this was a rule. We borrowed a steamer from reception and were told we had to return it as soon as we used it (even though I saw about 10 steamers in their cupboard) I even had to sign the steamer out!!! There’s just a real air of unfriendliness at this hotel which is such a shame. We didn’t bring these issues up with the hotel because we read some reviews on here and Google which said that the hotel were not very nice to people who make complaints.
Really lovely hotel in a good location! We had a garden facing room which I couldn’t recommend more! We had views of the sunset every evening from our room, the bed was huge and the aircon was amazing! We also had no noise from outside (I even brought my ear plugs but didn’t have a need for them!) I can imagine if you were pool side facing you would’ve had a different experience as the road although not super busy can be noisy with beeping and car engines etc . Pool was great and out of a week stay there was only one day where we struggled to get a sun-bed, but on this day we arrived to the pool area super late (after 11am) and it was a Sunday and it seemed like a lot of guests were not doing any trips etc. Every other day it was not an issue and we found a good spot. Location is good, some really nice restaurants close by, but the walk into “main” sorrento town is about 25 min+ which in the heat is sometimes pretty rough, but easily doable and quite a nice walk. (Taxis are super expensive - a 4 min drive cost us €30 cash) Rooftop bar was sensational - definitely don’t miss it. Breakfast was nice and had everything you need.
Lunch and drinks prices in the restaurant and rooftop bar were quite expensive considering portions weren’t huge and you could get cheaper just outside the hotel.
The staff were kind and accommodating.
The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. The lack of a bed skirt exposed the box spring, making the room feel unfinished and cheap. Overall, the room wasn’t cozy and felt dated and not thoroughly cleaned. The bathroom had an overpowering perfume scent that seemed to be masking an underlying musty or moldy odor, which was very off-putting. To make matters worse, there was an unpleasant sewage-like smell coming from the air conditioning vent. The AC was also locked at 22°C with no way to adjust the temperature, which made for an uncomfortable stay and is a frustrating policy. Another major disappointment was that the pool closes at 6:00 p.m. One of the best parts of a vacation is spending the day exploring and then unwinding by the pool in the evening. Closing it that early defeats the purpose. For over $350 per night, we expected a much higher standard of comfort, cleanliness, and amenities. Unfortunately, the experience fell well below expectations. We left very disappointed and would not recommend this hotel to others.
We liked everything. The staff were so helpful. They could not do enough for you and were in hand for anything. Smiling and friendly too which was lovely. The pool and facilities were also top notch. The snack bar was really handy too and lovely food. The hotel is beautiful!
Nothing
Bar
Bathroom was very plain. We could hear the bar and chairs moving until late at night from the rooftop bar
Lovely building, very tastefully furnished. Lovely facilities such as the bars, restaurant and the swimming pool area is stunning
The location - we knew before we booked but the pavements are so bumpy and sometimes non existent so you’re reliant on public transport or taxis at 25 euro each way. The hotel should consider a shuttle that you pay for at a cheaper rate. Some more plug points in the room would be useful.
What a beautiful holiday and the hotel is amazing. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Will be back
Tisztelettudó személyzet, gyönyörű belső design, tökéletes elhelyezkedés, kellemes elegáns medence és napozó
Nem volt ilyen
Breakfast was great . Coffee good . staff friendly . Bar and restaurant good . Pool area ok. Sunbeds could be nicer
Kettle in the room , a water tap to refill water bottles , better quality chairs on the room outdoor deck , a shuttle bus into Sorrento would be helpful . The walk is 25 minutes .
This was our second visit to Sorrento in two years, and we'll definitely be going back. The Majestic Palace was recommended to us by a local travel agent, and she absolutely nailed it. The hotel is stunning, and our rooms were amazing by European standards. Large room, soaring ceiling, and great bathroom. The art in the rooms from the owners collection was a nice touch. The staff were over the top helpful and friendly. Check in was quick and easy (by European standards - I'll never understand why I need to fill in a hand written form with my personal details when they have it all in the computer), and everyone just seemed to appear to help with whatever was needed. This goes for the restaurants and bars as well. The food on site was fantastic. Breakfast was a little limited in selection, but what there was was very good. The rooftop bar is spectacular and definite must in you're on site. The pool is very nice and there was never a shortage of loungers or chairs. We didn't indulge in the on site Michelin restaurant, but we did take a look inside and loved how intimate the setting is. If we didn't have a hit list of restaurants in town to visit, I think I would have tried it. It is a bit of a walk into Sorrento, and last week was very hot. We took a cab in and back one day, and learned our lesson. Cabs in Sorrento are $$$. It was 30 euro for a few minutes into town. My advice is to jump on the local bus that takes you right into the heart of Sorrento for 2 euro a passenger. And they run regularly. One small suggestion for the hotel would be to review the bathroom amenities. The plastic wrapped paper cups felt out of place. The soaps smelled great, but the dispensers felt cheap and not in keeping with the room. This didn't take away from our stay, but after spending thousands of nights in hotels, I like to provide some small feedback for improvement. The bed was amazing. If you are able, get a room on the back of the hotel, as the road noise on the front can be a little loud (not the hotel's fault, just reality). Overall, I'd stay at the Majestic again in a heartbeat.
Our room was very nicely furnished and very spacious beautiful gardens
Unusual system with towels at pool. Service could be a little slow.
A review also dated June 2026 by Lisa mirrored our experience with a few additional points. There was much to admire, the staff, the hotel itself and one could see massive potential. The seating on our balcony had no cushions, the seating in the garden also had no cushions and no umbrellas for shade. The pool area was smaller than the hotel needs with insufficient seating and in other outside areas. Towels appear on sunbeds early in the morning and then not used, in some cases, for over 2 hours or even longer. This should be monitored. The dining facility in the evening was inadequate if not using the Magnolia restaurant, only 7 tables poolside!! The menu itself was somewhat limited. We found it incomprehensible that we were served tinned fruit in a country where fresh fruit is in abundance. We paid 50 euros to extend our checkout time by one hour with the only option of changing into travel clothes in the single ground floor toilet after that. In fact when we went back to our room to remove our luggage etc. it was locked despite ordering and paying for the extension. Much of the above was mentioned to various staff members who, whilst being polite, failed to convince us that these were valid comments. In conclusion not achieving it's 4 star rating.
Tout
Rien
This hotel is stunning. Lovely gardens, gorgeous pool area, lovely ambient bar and seating area. The Staff were all very friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Very spacious, well appointed rooms. Massive comfortable bed. Air con worked well and the bathroom was a nice size. Plenty of storage space and a lovely balcony overlooking the gardens. Cleaned every day so was spotlessly clean. We ate in the poolside restaurant, which was very good. We spent time at the rooftop bar, which was lovely, and we also had a superb meal in the Michelin Star Restaurant Don Geppi. Breakfast was pleasant, as you would expect. The service throughout was exemplary. We had a fantastic stay here and wouldn't hesitate to return in the future.
Staff were wonderful and helpful, beautiful setting
Breakfast sweet cakes and pastries were a little stale
Nice hotel, friendly staff.
Our room was outdated.
The Majestic Palace is spectacular. The staff was simply amazing. The hotel and grounds are incredibly beautiful and well maintained. How this hotel is priced so well is beyond me. Stay here. You will not regret it.
The property was very class and chic with a fantastic Italian style. The pool area was great and the roof top bar was sublime with some breathtaking views. The staff were also top class.
The air conditioning was not suffice. 3 times we asked the staff to lower it and to their best ability they did. It seems to be a system fault not the staffs fault. Working in engineering I could tell that the system was not working to its full potential and needed maintained. The breakfast choices also could have been better. Asking gueststo pay extra for pancakes etc is very disappointing especially with the price of the stay, we felt it was a chance to make more money at any chance. The price for soft drinks and alcohol was very high. €12 for a Coca Cola on the roof top is actually quite disgusting.
Beautiful hotel in lovely grounds. Room was spacious, clean and well appointed.
Selfish residents putting towels on sun beds and then not using them for the last 2 hours we were at the property. We would have liked to use 2 sunny loungers. In my view the hotel staff should not allow this to happen.
Myself and my best friend chose this hotel to celebrate our 40th birthday stay in Sorrento, and it did not disappoint. It is a stunning building in a beautiful location, however we felt the staff really made it for us. From the moment we checked in they were so friendly and attentive, showing us around the hotel and letting us know where everything was. Greeting us as ‘the birthday girls’ when we came through reception, it was lovely, made us feel really special. We had lunch by the pool our first day as our room was not ready yet and it was perfect. We received a voucher for a complementary glass of Prosecco each. The pool itself has plenty of loungers and the pool is a great size. It was lovely lying there in the sun listening to the birds sing. The garden to the rear of the hotel is also a really peaceful area to relax in. Breakfast had a great selection of breads, cakes/pastries, juices, fruits, hot food and cheese and meats. You couldn’t want for anything more at the breakfast buffet! And again the staff were quick to seat and even quicker to clear plates and tables for the next guests. We were on the 4th floor and the corridor and doors to the rooms seem to have been recently done up, they were beautiful. Our room was gorgeous, I think one of the older styles but still beautiful , really spacious with a huge balcony with wooden shutters overlooking the mountains at the front of the hotel. Just to note, as the rooftop bar is on the 5th floor there was a bit of noise which sounded like furniture being moved around from about 4pm onwards but this bar closes at 11/11.30pm so it was not a problem for us as we were our every evening. Lots of storage in the room, however only one mirror, the addition of a full length mirror would have been a nice extra. The only plug socket/outlet beside the mirror we had was not working, it seemed a previous guest’s adapter broke inside it and they did not let reception know. So unfortunately we could not use this on our first night to dry our hairs, however once we mentioned this to reception they sent maintenance to our room and it was promptly fixed which was fantastic. The one thing that let our room down was that there was an interconnecting door with the room next door. We had our neighbour knock on our door at 11.30pm at night to tell us to keep the noise down, even though we had just returned from our evening out and were simply talking (not shouting or screaming) getting ready for bed. This did upset us a lot at the time as we can’t help a door with no soundproofing being in between both our rooms, and it wasn’t very late by holiday standards, I could understand if it was 1,2,3am for example! We could hear our neighbours the next day drying hair in their room , it was very loud so perhaps something could be done to soundproof these internal doors? Just a thought. We knew the hotel would be outside of Sorrento itself when we booked however we found the walk quite long and hard at times in the heat after a long day out and about. A taxi is €30 in the evening which is very expensive, but if you are aware you can work this into your budget! Our private transfer back to Naples airport for our flight home let us down, but reception were able to book us a local taxi company who came within 10minutes and got us there right on time. We thank you again for helping us with that, as we were very stressed thinking we might miss our flight! Overall a fantastic stay and couldn’t fault the hotel itself, the staff again were excellent and really helpful and friendly. I would absolutely stay again as we had a really great 40th birthday celebration that we will never forget!
Everything! Rooftop bar with view at sunset is spectacular. Staff were lovely. Good quiet location away from the chaos of main town/streets but still walking distance to ferries.
Pool closes a little early in summer.
We recently stayed at the Majestic Palace Hotel and had a generally pleasant experience, although there were a few areas where we felt improvements could be made. On arrival, the hotel makes a wonderful first impression. The building is beautiful, elegant, and full of Italian charm. The entire property is immaculately clean, and the staff are friendly, approachable, and always willing to help. The rooftop bar is particularly lovely and offers a great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The room itself was very clean, but we found it quite basic and a little uninviting compared to the hotel’s impressive public areas. The beds were firmer than we would have liked, there was no pillow menu or choice of pillows, and there were no tea or coffee-making facilities. We were also surprised that complimentary bottled water was not provided, as this is something we would normally expect from a hotel advertising itself as four-star. The balcony was functional but looked worn and in need of some refurbishment. One point worth noting is that the hotel is not actually located in Sorrento itself, but just outside. This wasn’t a problem for us, but the advertised 15-minute walk into the centre seems optimistic. Google Maps estimates around 30 minutes, which may be worth considering for guests with limited mobility. Breakfast was enjoyable, with lovely staff providing excellent service, although the food selection was fairly basic rather than extensive. We also found some of the extra charges disappointing. For example, pool towels are provided free of charge, but if you wish to exchange one during your stay there is a €2.50 fee. In addition, check-out is at 11am and there do not appear to be any washroom or dressing room facilities available for guests after check-out. Overall, the hotel has many positives, particularly its cleanliness, friendly staff, attractive appearance, and rooftop bar. However, some of the room amenities and additional charges made it feel as though extras were being charged for where we would normally expect them to be included in a four-star hotel experience.
Lovely poolside restaurant, Don Geppi restaurant, fabulous Skybar and very nice staff. Also had a wonderful terrace on the 5th floor with an incredible view. I think this was because I had mentioned it was our honeymoon 😊
Despite its 4 stars the plug socket in our bathroom was hanging out of the wall and the hairdryer didn’t work as a result, although they did rectify this quickly with another one. Also the fridge wasn’t plugged in when we arrived but minor detail.
Location, staff
Breakfast for 30 euros was not good! Terrible eggs and greasy bacon. Canned fruit. Yuck Pastry’s were good Music at night noisy from rooftop bar. Beds ok, hard pillows
Clean and felt quite high end
Very expensive for what it was, sun beds were cheap and the road was quite loud.
Beautiful property
Rooms not great for a traveling. Not much shelving in bathroom, no counter space, short in lights in our room ( kept going off) Floor 4 very noisy under bar. Pillows and bed hard.
The first impression of the hotel looking very majestic. The outside patio area and swimming pool area. The gardens at the back are very beautiful and a lovely outside space to chill out in the peace and quiet.
Didn’t find anything not to like.
Great location, beautiful setting
Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful hotel. Nice swimming pool and good room facilities. Superb rooftop bar.
Had to request to have our air conditioning set to a more comfortable level. Did not like diffusers in corridors and lounges.
Location and rooftop bar.
The breakfast was disappointing with very little fresh fruit, lots of sweet foods and poor bread selection.
Overall the stay was excellent- lovely room, excellent facilities, quiet area outside busy Sorrento, fabulous garden and pool area.
Staff was amazing clean hotel pool was lovely food lovely it's was amazing thanks for having us
Absolutely stunning! Location wonderful and the staff amazing! The staff were so helpful with booking trips and were so friendly! Food options great!
Nothing
This is a beautiful hotel about 25mins easy walk to centre. Clearly undergone a recent removation and our room (414) was not only well appointed but had an amazing view from the balcony. All staff were welcoming and helpful from check in and throughout our stay. We were lucky and got street parking outside - download the Easy Park app which makes it easy to pay (8-1PM then 3-9PM) - about 8 euro per day and free on sundays. I believe the hotel has a deal with a local garage for parking if you cannot get street parking. We ate at the pizza restaurant next to pool one night, which was excellent. We also ate at the Michelin star restaurant in the hotel which was also excellent (though myself and partner agreed the prawn and cold spaghetti courses we would have preferred hot!). Service was excellent - a common theme. The rooftop bar was another excellent option for drinks later! Cannot finish review without commenting on the amazing garden - truly stunning with orange and lemon trees and wonderful to walk around and sit in. Any suggestions for improvement? Please replenish the coffee capsuals in your room each day, the air-con seemed to be failing on our last night and for breakfast please consider replacing the multitude of cake options with an omelete/eggs station and/or more cereal/fruit choices - at this level it really is expected. Otherwise, thank you so much for a wonderful stay and for anyone consdering it, don't hesitate unless you truly need a high-end hotel right in the centre.
Staff exceptional room excellent
Location could do with shuttle bus taxis so expensive
Good location, but away from the hustle of Sorrento. 5 mins walk to station and some great local restaurants and bars locally. Overall a pleasant stay with a lovely room.
Some of the staff were somewhat officious and surly, however others were extremely pleasant and welcoming - especially the rooftop bar guys. A confusing and inconsistant pool towel policy was observed with other guests complaining and being charged for fresh towels - seemed a bit off for a hotel charging so much. Poolside bar service was very slow with drinks being signed for in advance of service and then a 30 minute wait for them to be delivered. Breakfast service and options pretty poor for a high end hotel - charge extra for poached egg, omlette or some avocado isn't good when breakfast is included (or in this case partly included). Comparable hotels tend to offer freshly prepared to order options at this price level.
Wonderful stay first time in Italy. Hotel was lovely. Service top notch at bar, restaurant and front desk so accommodating. Always got us a cab last minute. They were wonderful. Roof top bar beautiful. Our room was lovely. I suggest garden view. We were in room 316. Cab ride 5 minutes to city center about 25.00. Food was great. Breakfast bar was wonderful each morning. So much wonderful food. Grounds lovely. Room was cleaned every day with fresh towels and cleaning. Staff works really hard. I was so impressed. We highly recommend this hotel . Thank you for a great stay.
This is a spectacular hotel with modern updated rooms, fabulous balconies and excellent breakfast options every morning. The rooftop bar is absolutely amazing at night!
Nothing to not like! There is a noisy rooster in the area if you sleep with your shutters open. 😀
Trimrom, basseng, rolig og fantastisk personale
Beliggenhet
The dirty Martini rooftop bar was the highlight and the sweet jars in the afternoon.
The walk is an easy flat walk but it is a decent 2km before you get to the centre or turn off to go down to the Marina. So definitely need to be prepared to walk. The beds were hard, but a lot of Europe is like this.
This is a beautiful hotel with excellent views and very friendly staff. Loved our balcony with a view of the garden (which is a must visit) and partial sea view. I've read other negative reviews and none of them reflect our experience. We were only in town for 2 nights, and very much wish we could have spent more at the Majestic. The breakfast buffet was also very nice. We would happily stay here again should our travels bring us back to the area.
This is my second time staying here. The staff is wonderful and friendly, they have 2 bars (lobby and rooftop) and food options. Walking distance to downtown Sorrento if you don’t mind walking a bit. Close to the train station, and plenty of shops and restaurants. Be advised when traveling in April, the AC units aren’t operational in the hotel. Crack the balcony and enjoy the fresh air. Garden view rooms offer a beautiful sunset view and views of the sea on higher floors. I will stay here again when I come to the area again.
We are still here, what a lovely hotel, the staff are excellent, helpful and nothing is a trouble. Food is good and the service superb. The location is good for us as a short train ride 1.5 euro (5 min) and you are in Sorrento. I personally believe April is a good time to travel her as not too hot or busy.
From check-in to departure, the staff was unfailingly polite and helpful. Rooms were very clean and well appointed. The hotel is nicely situated in a quiet area and is close to train/bus station. Beautiful property!
It had clearly been upgraded & refurbished & done well, there were the odd thing incomplete like the balcony light but these are minor things I’m sure will get done before the holiday season. Staff & service were exceptional.
Nothing to comment on, it was very good.
Wunderbare Restaurants und Frühstücksbiffet Srhr schöner Garten mit Orangenbäumen Herrloche Dachterrasse mit Bar für den Schlummertrunk
I was nervous to come to this hotel because there were mixed reviews. We ended up reserving a comfort room, which was clearly just renovated and it felt clean. The room was spacious and we had a nice balcony. There was a fresh paint smell though but that went away after a bit. What I didn’t know was that some places in Italy have AC restrictions, so the rooms were quite hot as the hotel staff said we cannot turn on the AC until mid May. We did have our shutters open all night but it can be quite loud outside with the cars, mopeds, and the local church’s bell tower. We did love the rooftop bar which is a great place for a sunset drink. The visited the pool and it was a nice place to layout. The pool is not heated though, and I would guess that the temp is around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Breakfast was eggs, bacon, and a mix of pastries.
No positives after all the negatives. Horrible experience with this hotel
The hotel is full of ridiculous rules that make it impossible to relax and enjoy your time. Our room smells strongly of fresh paint, yet the AC is turned off and we’re not allowed to turn it on, even though the room is uncomfortably hot. When asked for at least a fan, they didn't have for us either. We also bought a bottle of wine from a local winery (we are in Italy, after all), and were told we’re not allowed to have it anywhere on the hotel premises. That’s honestly unbelievable. It gets worse, we even received complaints for asking for an iron and using it for more than an hour. I've never experienced anything like this at any hotel. This is especially disappointing considering we upgraded to one of their "comfort" rooms and spent well over $700 at their "Michelin star" restaurant. Despite spending significantly, guests are treated more like a problem than customers. Overall, this has been a very disappointing and frustrating stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
The Majestic Palace Hotel in Sant’Agnello, Italy was absolutely beautiful, the staff were all friendly and helpful and the restaurants were amazing!
We stayed for seven nights last week room 414, in this fabulous hotel. The staff were friendly, very welcoming and provided a first class service from serving drinks by the pool with added gratis nibbles, I particularly enjoyed the olives to ensuring the restaurant was an enjoyable experience. Breakfast provided a varied selection of delicious food. The room was clean, modern and was cleaned daily with fresh towels provided. A digital safe ensured any valuables were kept secure. We took a kettle and some Yorkshire tea bags as tea making facilities were not provided apart from a coffee machine. We never used the drinks provided in the fridge mini bar as there was a charge for each item so I bought drinks from the local convenience store just located around the corner from the train station which was roughly seven or eight minutes walk. The traffic on the road outside was noisy at times but not so much as to disturb my sleep. We were on the fourth floor with views of Naples bay and Vesuvius in the background. The sunsets were stunning. Sorrento is within a 30 minute stroll(at my leisurely pace) a little tip if you ARE walking to Sorrento, turn left as you leave the hotel as this route is more scenic overlooking the sea and port areas which seems to pass the time quicker and before you know it, you’re in the heart of Sorrento. Some great bars and restaurants, where you can stop and enjoy a meal, or just a drink and watch the various interesting people pass by. If you don’t feel so energetic, there is a local bus service that runs regularly or the train which gets you there in about five minutes and is reasonably priced at €1.85. Would we stay here again? That is a definite YES from us. I read previous reports on trip advisor and there were some negative ones but I didn’t recognise the hotel THEY were moaning about and can only assume NOTHING would make those people happy but we thoroughly enjoyed the full week stay and a big thank you to all the staff for making our stay such an unforgettable and enjoyable experience.
I rarely write reviews before finishing a stay, but this experience has been so frustrating that I genuinely considered leaving after just 2 nights out of 3 The hotel is full of ridiculous rules that make it impossible to relax and enjoy your time. Our room smells strongly of fresh paint, yet the AC is turned off and we’re not allowed to turn it on, even though the room is uncomfortably hot. We also bought a bottle of wine from a local winery (we are in Italy, after all), and were told we’re not allowed to have it anywhere on the hotel premises. That’s honestly unbelievable. Awful experience and the owner supports animal abuse.
Horrible people here. Do not go. Everything was ruined.
Terrible experience. I'm so angry with their lack of hospitality. Do not stay here.
Fabulous hotel, staff extremely helpful & friendly.Gorgeous orange garden and pool.Breakfast was of good standard & variety.Lovely indoor bar serves food.Hope to visit again when the roof terrace is open.Sant Agnello is a quieter base than Sorrento which we preferred as you’re not sharing the spectacular views of the Sorrento coast with hundreds of tourists even in shoulder season.
Nothing.
Terrible Service. The bedding was dirty. After complaining to staff we were told they were too busy to assist. The meals we had were cold. The staff were rude and not helpful at all. Won't be going there again.
It was a beautiful place with breathtaking views!!!
Nothing!!!
The staff at the majestic was phenomenal! It made our experience feel luxurious! They accommodated all of our needs. The small dining experience was exceptional! The vegetable, fruit and herb gardens were unexpected. We will be back.
Struttura centrale e personale disponibile.
Struttura antiquata e colazione pessima
The staff were incredible.
