Prima kamer met lekkere zachte dekens, mooie omgeving, mooie tuin, lief personeel, leuke hotelkat genaamd oscar, prima zwembad op mooi gelegen plek. Hotelkamer was schoon. Badkamer had dikke zachte handdoeken.

Hotel heeft flink wat achterstallig onderhoud. Het ziet er geleefd uit. Muren zitten op bepaalde plekken wel vol met vocht. De mini midgetgolf is niet bespeelbaar door waterplekken en viezigheid. Het ontbijt is in het weekend tot 11 uur maar begint om 1015 al met opruimen.

Ambiente molto tranquillo e ben curato. Comoda la possibilità di cenare presso la struttura e la presenza di un parcheggio gratuito. Staff molto gentile

Bagno cieco con sistema di aspirazione poco efficace. Camera con affaccio su cortile interno con un muro alto a pochi metri, quindi stanza molto buia. Balcone esterno molto piccolo.

Helaas werkte de airco niet in onze kamer/ op het deel van onze gang/ etage (we hadden meer kamers met hetzelfde probleem. Na verhuizing werkte de airco op die kamer wel. Helaas nadat de monteur het verholpen zou hebben gingen we terug naar onze oude kamer waar de airco het toch niet deed. Verder zijn er weinig goede restaurants in de buurt

Very hard and uncomfortable beds. Pick charges like a charge to use the room safe. Loud repairs in the morning hours.

El billar, el minigolf y la piscina son grandes alicientes, sobretodo si vas con niños

Nuestra habitación daba a un muro con una carretera y a las maquinas de aire acondicionado, la tarjeta no funcionaba y tuvimos que llevar llave tradicional porque no fueron capaces de arreglarlo, la comida del restaurante era bastante mala, nos bebimos la botella de agua que ponen de cortesía y no la repusieron ningún día (y estuvimos una semana), el jacuzzi no funcionaba... son detalles importantes que se deben cuidar en un hotel de 4 estrellas con el precio que tiene.

A/C dont blow cold. When A/C was on room smells like moisture and mold. Really need to change filters or do somethig about it. No boiled egg on breakfast. Breakfast should be something different. All hotels offers same breakfast choices. Beds are seperated and its bad. Pillows are very soft. Beds are hard and make back hurt.

The hotel exceeded our expectations as sometimes these older hotels don't live up to the photos. Amazing views and different areas in the garden to relax or play games. Breakfast was very good and staff very friendly and attentive. The room was very comfortable and clean. It had a restaurant which had nice food and convenient if you wanted to have a few drinks by the pool and not drive at night.

We mistakenly thought when we booked that a room with land view would be facing the mountains, however these were labelled sea views (even though I don't think you could see the sea from that angle). I think their descriptions can be a bit confusing.

L'une des 4 chambres dont la salle de bain puait énormément et malgré notre signalement, le personnel n'a rien fait. Le parking trop petit....pas de place pour garer les voitures correctement. Le service restauration déplorable : hamburgers immangeables, personnel incompétent.

La disponibilité du personnel . La qualité des petits-déjeuner. La propreté en général. la possibilité de diner le soir au restaurant de l'hébergement. la piscine gratuite.

absence de gouttière en bord de toiture, conséquence un bruit d'écoulement désagréable en cas de pluie, même fénêtres fermées. la box Wifi émet un clignottement lumineux jaune qui est très inconfortable la nuit. J'ai dû débrancher cette box tous les soirs avant de me coucher.

Le personnel est très accueillant et sympathique. Le petit déjeuner offre tout ce qu'on a besoin. Nous avons apprécié la table de ping pong. Nous avons trouvé une place de parking pour notre voiture de location à chaque fois dans le parking de l'hotel. Nous avons aimé la vue sur le beau jardin de l'hotel, la nature en face et la mer. Nous n'avons pas utilisé d'autres prestations comme la piscine, massage, salle de fitness. Nous avons mangé à l'hotel le soir de l'arrivé, c'était très correct.

La chambre était plutôt petite et la porte fenêtre ne fermait pas impeccablement, mais rien de dramatique.

The rooms are a bit old; therefore, the air can feel a bit heavy. The fitness/gym area is very outdated, and there are high additional charges for the sauna, swimming pool towels, and robes.

We stayed at this hotel with our children in two different rooms, and the experience fell significantly below what is expected from a 4-star property. Neither room had a kettle, meaning no access to basic in-room tea or coffee — a standard amenity in hotels of this category. More concerning was the presence of visible mold in both rooms. Our eldest daughter experienced an allergic reaction as a direct result. Although the hotel relocated us after a few nights, the replacement rooms also had mold on the walls and ceilings. This indicates a systemic issue rather than an isolated incident, and raises serious concerns about hygiene and health standards. Guests are provided with a single 1.5L bottle of water upon arrival, with no daily replenishment. This level of service does not align with what most would reasonably expect from a 4-star hotel. Breakfast selection was minimal and lacked variety — no fish options at all, and only one type of ham/meat and cheese. Dinner was equally underwhelming, offering just two choices, neither of which stood out in quality or taste. The pool area is enclosed in glass, limiting the overall experience, and the water temperature was approximately 18°C — too cold for comfortable use. The setup also makes it difficult to enjoy sunlight or relax properly, even in good weather. Overall, while the hotel is marketed as a 4-star property, the actual experience is much closer to a 3-star standard at best. Based on our stay, there are clear gaps in maintenance, service, and overall guest experience that need to be addressed.

Locatie. Op de booking site werd aangegeven dat het 1 km van centrum can sao vicente ligt. Dit klopt niet. Het ligt aan de doorgaande weg in een dorp verderop. Ter ver weg om te voet naar sao vicente te gaan.

Nice view but hotel is not good and service is poor . No place to dry clothes after hiking and extremely rude personnel are not speaking English.

Badkamer: wat oudbollig. Aan vernieuwing toe. Wellness: enkel de sauna werkte, niet het Turks bad, niet de jacuzzi. Beide ‘in onderhoud’. Parking: gratis maar onvoldoende plaatsen Avondmaal: minimale portie.

God beliggenhed. Virkelig lækker morgenmad med lokale kager, dejligt frugt og god espresso.

Nebýt hodných lidí - pán u snídaní, pán na baru, paní vedoucí recepce, nestálo by to už vůbec za nic. Chutnalo nám jídlo.

Nebyl žádný výhled do krajiny, koukali jsme 4 metry vysoké zdi !!! Kvalita pokoje - opadávající omítky, protečený strop, dveře na balkon nešli zavřít, atd. Děsivé pak bylo blikající čidlo nad postelí, takže dokud jsme to nezalepili, nedalo se spát ... Slyšíte úplně všechno. Paní na recepci se nám po dvou dnech snažila dát jiný pokoj, my doufali, že to někdo přijde alespoň poopravit a že se nebudeme muset stěhovat ... 2x jsme žádali recepci o doplnění ramínek na šaty, ani to mladíci na recepci nezvládli ...

de saunavloer was echt heel vies. Het afvoerputje was nog viezer. Terwijl de schoonmaker elke dag de hotelkamers grondig kwamen schoonmaken, vergaten ze de sauna en de vloer rondom het zwembad.

Only good thing about this hotel is the beautiful location and you can drive to almost any part of the island within an hour. Our room was also very clwan and cleaned well every day.

The hotel is on serious need of renovation. Extremely outdated. Understaffed at breakfast, no cutlery on most tables & tables not cleared efficebtly. Buffet selection was very poor, eggs cooked to order were undercooked. The jacuzzi & Turkish baths were both off and sauna was 5€ per person to use. The gym had the bear minimum... Also extremely outdated and musty/damp air smell in the room. I can forgive the outdated wooden decore in the rooms that could almost be charming except the Aircon didn't work, the mattresses were TERRIBLE... Need replacing ASAP and the lamp shades were all damp stained and broken. Honestly, this is not a 4 star hotel, 1 star in my eyes. It's a shame because it has such potential.

Très belle chambre avec balcon, vue sur piscine et nature. Grande salle de bains, propre et fonctionnelle, comme le reste de la chambre. Parking au sein de l'établissement, très pratique pour la voiture de location. L'accueil a été vraiment très agréable, avec un verre de vin de Madère à déguster. Jolie salle de petit-déjeuner, avec du personnel attentif, et un petit-déjeuner très varié et de qualité : excellent pour bien débuter la journée, surtout avant une randonnée ! Situation géographique intéressante pour découvrir le nord et le centre de l'île.

Pas de bouilloire dans la chambre. Si on veut avoir un thé, il faut aller au bar de l'hôtel. Après une journée de visites ou de rando, on préférerait pouvoir rester tranquillement dans la chambre, après avoir pris une bonne douche. Mais finalement, aller au bar, discuter un peu avec le barman sympathique et serviable et déguster son cocktail ou son thé dans le salon ou au bord de la piscine a été une expérience agréable. Petite odeur désagréable (d'égout) dans la salle de bains, après l'avoir utilisée : il y avait un problème de plomberie dans notre chambre mais comme nous étions souvent sortis pour nos visites/randos, nous n'avons pas évoqué le problème avec le personnel.

The building and furniture are dated, expect chipped wood and a lil' corrosion here and there; amenities common to a 3 star hotel, such as tea and kettle, slippers, safe locker, are either absent or paywalled; location, while beautiful, lacks infrastructure, you get stranded if you don't have a car

The location and view from the room were amazing. Large room and bed, with a balcony facing the mountains. Good breakfast, but not too many options to choose from. Small pool with sunbeds. Cute, extremly friendly cat, Oscar. Gym is small, but good enough, I guess.

We arrived at 1:55pm, check-in is from 2pm. And the staff in the reception made us wait another 15mins, because we arrived too early. I did not appreciate it at all. All the furniture is noisy, as well as the door, which besides being squeaky, also makes loud sounds to confirm you opened it and to notify your door is still open. Which can be good, but not if you want to wait for 10 seconds for the other person to get out of the room and you end up informing the whole.floor about it. Of course nothing is sound proof, so not only did you hear all these noises in your room, but all these noises from your neighbors as well. Each drawer, each door, every move. Eggshells in the omelette every single day. Unbelievable, must be a record! Sauna was "under maintenance" throughout our whole 5 night stay. Of course the price did not reflect the fact that you can't use parts of the facilities they say they offer at booking time. Mini golf course and table tennis exist, but do not look great. We got exactly 0 information about the facilities at check in, so I can't tell if those were "under maintenance" as well. There seemed to be some other restaurant/bar in the garden, but I have not seen it functioning. All in all, pretty pricey for what it offers. Which is basically just a great location.

Spent a wonderful week at this lovely hotel with my best friend at the end of September. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, with being greeted with a dram of Madeira wine on arrival! The location is beautiful with wonderful views of the vale, you do need a car, we were lucky to have a hire car, the only small downside is parking can be limited on an evening but this isn't a deal breaker as there is parking on the street outside. The pool was welcome on a warm day. The bar was good and we ate in the restaurant one evening, you have to book in advance for this as it does get full with being small. Beds were comfortable, room was very clean, fridge in room but no kettle unfortunately. Breakfast was fabulous, with plenty of fresh items daily. I would definitely stay here again, this was my first trip to Madeira and I will definitely be back. I would recommend staying in this area of Madeira to escape the crowds of Funchal, we managed a day trip there. Lovely walks in the area, in the town there is a supermarket and petrol station, bars and restaurants along the seafront. When asked staff also made us a 'picnic' bag of breakfast items for our early morning flight on our final day. Thanks for the lovely stay!

Kleines Zimmer, die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen (Badewanne + Duschvorhang), angenehmer Pool, freundliches Personal (Arnold ist ein Goldstück), gutes Frühstück - insgesamt haben wir uns wohlgefühlt.

Ich hatte eine fantastische Zeit in diesem Hotel. Es ist aehr idyllisch und ruhig gelegen, dennoch erreicht man in ein paar Minuten den im Ort gelegenen Supermarkt und entlang der Küste einige wohlschmeckende Restaurants.

- Einrichtung 70er/80er Jahre Stil - Nicht ausreichend Parkplätze - Lampen defekt - Kein Personal abends am Empfang - Fenster im Bad lässt sich nicht öffnen - Von draußen schaut jeder direkt ins Zimmer. Also immer Vorhänge geschlossen. - Wollen fürs Wäschewaschen bis zu 4,50 € pro Kleidungsstück. Abzocke!!! - Werben mit Restaurant. Mann muss aber bereits am Morgen vorbestellen. Hat man natürlich insbesondere am Anreisetag nichts davon.

Pas assez de places de parking (vous pourriez remplacer le mini golf par un deuxième parking ?) mais il est courant de se garer en plein sur la rue à Madère donc ça s’est bien passé, mobilier un peu vieillissant dans la chambre

Pool is pretty small Many houses in the neigbourhoud with dogs barking all night long. We asked to change our room but only the one next to ours was proposed which doesn't help matters. Too bad, the hotel loses some of its charm

Although we didn’t have time to use them the mini golf, snooker, table tennis and pool were nice to have. The lady who checked us in on reception was lovely, and enjoyed the friendly cat that lives at the hotel. Breakfast was nice too.

The bathroom had a bad smell which let it down and you needed to drive into the town as it was a bit far/uphill to the hotel

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to come back again.

The hotel is rated 4 stars, but this is definitely not more than a 3-star facility at best. The staff are really helpful and friendly, but the hotel is in dire need of some upgrading/modernisation.

We really enjoyed having a base in the North of the island from which to explore. The staff were super friendly The rooms were cosy and our balcony a bonus The view from the pool is great Great supermarket just down the road for stocking up
