Les chambres étaient petites, on ne pouvait pas circuler à deux dans la salle de bains. Pas de climatisation, ce qui en soi n'est pas un souci. Par contre il a fait très chaud dans la chambre ce qui rendait les nuits un peu difficiles. Ajouter un ventilateur éventuellement au plafond pour ne pas dénaturer le lieu pourrait être une solution.

We hadden nachts de ramen dicht gedaan tegen evt insecten, maar die hadden we beter open kunnen laten voor doorluchten, want na het douchen en de warme nacht was het behoorlijk warm en vochtig. Raam open hielp meteen . Ontbijt was lekker en het zwembad heeeeerlijk!!! Leuke zitplekjes en pracht tuin. Aanrader!

Salle de bains exiguë avec porte qui ne s’ouvre pas totalement (chambre numéro 7). Arrosage du jardin à 5h du matin relativement bruyant, ce qui nous a réveillé tous les jours.

Reviewed Jul 5, 2026Von der Ankunft bis zur Abreise war alles perfekt. Das Hotel ist sehr klein, aber es macht die Hälfte seines Charmes aus. Fernab der geschäftigen Südküste, absolut idyllisch gelegen und total süß in einem Vintage-Stil eingerichtet ist das Hotel perfekt für einen erholsamen Urlaub. Bei der Anreise erwartete uns eine kleine süße Aufmerksamkeit und Madeira -Wein. Ein wunderschöner Garten mit Pergola und einem kleinen, sehr sauberen Pool bescherten uns Schatten und Abkühlung. Auch wenn der Frühstück ggf. für manche nicht abwechslungsreich vorkommen könnte, es war immer alles in ausreichender Menge da. Eine Nespresso Maschine steht einem immer zur Verfügung. In einem kleinen Kühlschrank kann man eingekauften Vorräte aufbewahren. Personal ist super freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Zimmer sind sehr sauber, die Handtücher werden bei Bedarf erneuert.

Very damp room due to the weather but also because it's a small room with only a window and no air conditioning. The shower could be refurbished to have something more modern and better ventilate the bathroom. The garden automatic watering system is very noisy and starts in the middle of the night, so we kept the window closed to avoid waking up in the middle of the night everytime. Yogurts weren't nice, I suggest to get something more natural, less industrial and creamier. We didn't use the swimming pool since it was at 20 degrees and it wasn't heated up.

The service was exceptional — warm, personal, and attentive in every way, making us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. The garden is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking mountain views that create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are beautifully decorated, full of character, and very comfortable. A perfect place to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of Madeira. We would highly recommend it and would love to return.

Reviewed Jun 26, 2026Mooi landhuis, propere en verzorgde kamers. Tijdens het ontbijt kan je vers roerei, spiegelei met spek bestellen (wel zelf zout en peper toevoegen...). Het notentaartje was lekker! Aangename ligstoelen met grote handdoeken aan een proper zwembad. Het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
Binnen is het vrij donker, men zou door middel van belichting meer sfeer kunnen creëren. De ontbijtruimte is binnen, ongezellig om te zitten en men zit samen aan een grote tafel. Voor ons vormde dit geen probleem, maar ik kan me voorstellen dat andere koppels meer privacy wensen. Er wordt geen mogelijkheid geboden om het ontbijt buiten te nemen, desondanks men over een prachtige tuin beschikt. Het ontbijt is volgens ons een gemiste kans! De kwaliteit van de producten die tijdens het ontbijt wordt aangeboden is ondermaats. Brood, tja, kan je dit brood noemen? Droog, de croissants vielen deze ochtend uit elkaar - botersmaak ontbrak volledig! Yoghurt, muesli, confituur, fruitsap, thee, koffie, smaakloze kaas en ham. Alles komt uit een pakje, niks vers, integraal industrieel voedsel. Vers fruit is aanwezig, maar waarom geen passievruchten, ananas, ... ? Ons inziens zou men met enkele ingrepen de kwaliteit direct kunnen opdrijven waardoor de locatie meer tot zijn recht komt. WiFi-verbinding reikt niet tot aan het zwembad. Jammer wanneer je informatie voor je volgende activiteiten wil opzoeken terwijl je van de zon geniet.

Reviewed Jun 12, 2026Nous y avons séjourné 3 nuits. Le jardin est très agréable et bien entretenu. L'extérieur est mignon. Les employées de ménage/cuisine sont très sympathiques.
La localisation: il n'y a rien à proximité, Sao Vicente est minuscule, au bord d'une route. Le petit-déjeuner un peu léger, pas de pâtisseries/viennoiseries pour tout le monde, premier arrivé premier servi. La salle de bain exigüe. La porte tape dans le lavabo, il faut se contorsionner pour passer entre les toilettes et la porte. Elle mériterait d'être rénovée. Traces d'humidité dans la chambre. Nous nous attendions à un B&B avec des hôtes présents, mais il n'y avait que les employées de ménage/cuisine (très sympathiques). Nous avons manqué d'indications sur les bonnes randonnées à faire à proximité. Pas de bar ou de snack sur place.

Reviewed Jun 2, 2026Das Zimmer war klein, aber gemütlich und ausreichend. Balkon hatten wir keinen. Rubina und Carlos waren super super nett und auch der Rest des Personals war sehr lieb. Wir haben uns sehr gut umsorgt, behütet und gut beraten gefühlt. Das Frühstück war jeden Tag sehr liebevoll zubereitet. Sehr süße Katzen. Wunderschöner Garten, toller Pool. Wir lieben Sao Vicente, wunderbare Lage auf der Insel.
Eigentlich war alles perfekt. Es war vielleicht manchmal ein bisschen feucht im Haus / Zimmer? Die Luftfeuchtigkeit draußen ist halt sehr hoch.

Reviewed May 26, 2026Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet, das Frühstück individuell und vielseitig mit landestypischen Speisen. Rubina, die Hauptkraft, kümmert sich charmant um jedes Anliegen und vermittelt das Gefühl ein echter Gast zu sein und nicht bloß Tourist. Im Haus herrschte eine entspannte und kommunikative Atmosphäre mit Interesse für andere Menschen. Wir haben sehr wohl gefühlt!!!

Reviewed May 9, 2026Un très bon accueil avec un personnel adorable, serviable et attentionné. L'intérieur de la Casa est très "coocoon" ainsi que les chambres. La mise à disposition de serviettes pour la piscine est très appréciable. Excellent petit-déjeuner. Un séjour qui donne l'impression d'être dans une autre époque.
Avoir des prises électriques proches du lit serait bien pratique. Dommage que l'on ne puisse pas dîner.

Reviewed May 7, 2026מיקום נהדר. קיבלנו חדר נהדר עם דלת יציאה לגינה המרהיבה ועם חדר נוסף צמוד כחדר אורחים. היחס של העובדות היה אדיב, והן יידעו אותנו, כאשר הכביש לפורטו מוניז נחסם, והציעו לנו איזור טיול אחר. ארוחת הבוקר הייתה טובה מאוד.

Reviewed May 1, 2026Nous avons réservé une chambre pour trois adultes, et le lit une place était vraiment un lit pour enfant.. De plus, le petit déjeuner était assez léger, à 9h plus de croissant. Dommage pour le prix de la nuit

Reviewed Apr 28, 2026The welcome was warm and friendly. Our room was just lovely with large windows looking over the beautiful gardens. The swimming pool was great, although cold. Breakfast was help yourself and cooked, which was all delicious and there were biscuits and sweets to help yourself to. It was like staying in a friend's home and was so comfortable, with lots of outside seating.
It was perfect.

Reviewed Apr 18, 2026Die Einrichtung ist sehr geschmackvoll und der Garten wunderschön. Vor allem hat uns der direkte Zugang vom Zimmer in den Garten gefallen. Vielen Dank für das nette Begrüßungs-Tablet mit Wein und Kuchen.

In de locatie niets. São Vicente is verder een slaperig dorpje en de restaurants aan de boulevard niet geweldig.

Lit très haut, un peu trop.... Du coup un seul fauteuil pour deux dans la chambre c'est peu pratique. Salle de bain : rien pour poser des affaires de toilette... Pas de gobelets pour les brosses à dents, peut être des détails mais vu le prix...

Lady who prepared delicious breakfast and runs this place was just so so so kind and in the same time very professional. Breakfast was delicious. When You are there make sure to ask whats the story of the place, its very interesting. I love places which are very peaceful and in the middle of nowhere, so for me the only disadvantage I would say, its just being surrounded by quite few houses and could hear cars driving closeby, but I guess that is a cost of being in the location close to the stores etc.

Reviewed Apr 7, 2026Stunning accomodation, very clean and every tiny detail thought through with close attention. Lovely outdoor communal area with plenty of places to sit peacefully. The breakfast was excellent and the beds were so comfortable. Staff were very kind and attentive. Highly reccomend!
