Reviewed Sep 6, 2026Wir hatten im Obergeschoss ein schönes Zimmer mit Balkon. Der Blick ging in Richtung Wasser, auch wenn dieses nicht direkt zu sehen war – trotzdem war die Aussicht sehr angenehm. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet: Jeden Morgen wurden wir gefragt, ob und wie wir unser Ei zubereitet haben möchten. Neben dem portugiesischen Kaffee gab es außerdem weitere Kaffeespezialitäten zur Auswahl. Besonders genossen haben wir den Pool, den wir jeden Abend genutzt haben. Insgesamt war unser Aufenthalt sehr angenehm, ruhig und erholsam. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt.

We especially loved the hotel’s values and thoughtful touches: a breakfast made entirely of homemade food, free coffee (expresso too!) and tea available all day, complimentary menstrual products provided...etc

É un B&B intimo, accogliente e pulito, con una piscina coperta che da sulle montagne. Personale molto gentile e disponibile; la colazione viene servita con alcuni prodotti provenienti dal loro orto. Lo consiglio fortemente se state cercando una sistemazione che vi faccia vivere l'atmosfera della vallata di Sao Vicente :)

Les chambres sont assez confortables, mais pas à la hauteur du prix. L’emplacement rends difficile le choix des repas, les restaurants aux alentours (même ceux proposés par l’hôtel) sont moyens et donc « obligés » de retourner à Funchal. L’hotel devrait proposer une partie restauration. Pour les déplacements également, l’emplacement de l’hôtel rallonge la route vers tout les lieux touristiques.

The view from the room was amazing, people were incredibly nice and welcoming, breakfast is another level (it’s not the wide choice but you don’t need it when everything is so delicious). I stayed for 3 nights and still sad I had to leave. If you’re looking for a peaceful place to wake up with birds - this is it. My rating 17/10 ⭐️

Rules rules rules; in the swimming pool (cold shower before...use hair cap etc), in the kitchen (wash your own cups, don't take them to the room, tell the day before 6PM if you want cleaning or not). Rules everywhere doesn't start very welcoming.

Reviewed Jun 22, 2026Het hotel is prachtig gelegen in een vallei met een prachtig uitzicht op de bergen. Elke ochtend een heerlijk vers ontbijt. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk. Prima locatie om het Noorden van Madeira te verkennen.
Het is jammer dat er geen restaurant in de buurt is. Je hebt altijd een auto nodig.

Breakfast was great; included freshly squeezed apple juice, delicious eggs, home made yoghurt, smoothies… The hotel was conveniently located and popular destinations like Seixal Beach, Fanal Forest, Porto Moniz natural pools were easily reachable by car.

Reviewed Jun 2, 2026Nous avions choisi la chambre avec lits jumeaux, balcon et vue sur la montagne. C'était magnifique. Cet endroit est un petit paradis. Le petit déjeuner était le meilleur du voyage. Il y avait beaucoup de produits maison et du jardin. On y retournerait avec plaisir.
Ça n'a rien à voir avec l'hôtel qui valorise le silence et propose une ambiance zen. Le problème est venu de deux chiens de voisins qui ont jappé pratiquement tout l'après-midi et toute la nuit. Si vous avez le sommeil léger, apportez des bouchons d'oreille.

Die Lage ist äußerst abseits. Keine Restaurants oder Bars in der Nähe. Hotel hat wenig Personal, so dass sehr auf Self Service gesetzt wird. Abends sollen die benutzten Tassen u.s.w. selbst gespült werden. Rezeption nur in einem sehr beschränktem Zeitfenster besetzt.

Reviewed May 23, 2026De ligging was gewoon fantastisch. Overal een prachtig zicht op de bergen. Super gezellig terras. En kamers met een view en een klein terras aan de kamers zelf. Het overdekte zwembad hebben we niet gebruikt, maar het zag er verzorgd uit en het water was warm.
Het ontbijt wordt wat eentonig na enkele dagen en er is helaas enkel oploskoffie. Dat is voor ons echt ondenkbaar in een hotel van deze klasse.

We arrived late, they offered us a late check in option. We received some very delicious gifts upon arrival and a nice post card. I woult strongly recomand this place and when I will be back in Madeira, I will be back here

Odeur de renfermé dans la chambre, hôtel globalement vieillot, pas de personnel sur place sauf sur une plage horaire très limitée, sauna payant, localisation sans intérêt à part la vue sur les montagnes (quand c'est dégagé...). Hôtel très cher pour les prestations proposées, le moins bien des 5 hébergements de notre séjour.

Reviewed May 18, 2026Eine wirklich sehr gepflegte Unterkunft, wunderschön gelegen. Tolle gepflegte Zimmer und sehr nettes Personal. Man braucht ein Auto. Wir haben dort eine Nacht verbracht und waren total zufrieden. Das Frühstück ist spitze, zusammengestellt aus lokalen Produkten, die teils selbst dort angebaut werden.
Der Pool ist für die Jahreszeit noch etwas kalt. Sonst alles wunderbar :)

Reviewed May 14, 2026I adored the sustainability of this bed & breakfast. They have a lovely garden and use the fruits of their labor in the breakfast and its super fresh and flavorful. The room was very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and the grounds were so very beautiful. I also felt so comfortable in the common area. They truly think of all of the needs of their customers, down to leaving a fresh flower on the pillow from their own garden.

Reviewed May 13, 2026L’établissement est bien placé et les chambres sont propres. Le bâtiment est aussi très sympa, avec un salon cosy au -1. Le petit déjeuner est vraiment bon.
La piscine est un peu fraîche. Après une journée de randonnée par temps maussade, quelques degrés de plus seraient les bienvenus.

Espace de détente avec boissons à disposition à toute heure et petit déjeuner savoureux, varié issu pour l'essentiel du potager ! Un environnement en pleine nature pour découvrir cette très belle région de Madère ! A proximité du petit mais superbe musée de Rota da Cal à vraiment découvrir !

On s'est tout de suite senti à l'aise malgré la barrière de la langue et grâce à l'accueil très souriant et sympathique La vue est exceptionnelle et le jardin très agréable. Nous avons apprécié aussi la piscine avec des horaires d'ouverture très larges et la mise à disposition d'un superbe parking. Bonne idée de mettre à disposition à tout moment des clients des assiettes et couverts, un micro-ondes, un appareil à café en grains, une théière et de l'eau aromatisée. Très pratique pour des encas ou pour se préparer des sandwiches pour la randonnée.

Reviewed May 3, 2026A notre arrivée un peu surpris de ne voir personne .mais nous avions eu des indications qui nous permettraient d avoir accès à notre super chambre. Nous sommes arrivés très tard au petit déjeuner car nous avons passé une bonne partie de la nuit aux urgences!!le personnel a été adorable et nous avons pu prendre notre petit déjeuner tranquillement. La jeune fille a été adorable !! Merci encore

Reviewed Apr 30, 2026Perfeito em todos os aspectos, Simpatia dos funcionários em primeiro lugar. Tudo limpo, café da manhã delicioso e produtos frescos, quarto grande, chuveiro enorme, e uma piscina maravilhosa. A vista é fenomenal.
Apenas um ponto que eu acho que deveria melhorar é o galinheiro, Acho que pela estrutura do hotel poderia ser construído um galinheiro bom e confortável, afinal elas são as responsáveis pelos ovos deliciosos do café da manhã e merecem uma casa digna.
