Great hotel room. Easy location for seeing around.

We had an evening meal in the bar restaurant. Food wasn't great... I'm sorry to say that. Staff were really great and friendly. We didn't book breakfast and decided to eat out in a coffee shop instead.

The staff were friendly and very polite especially a young bar staff call Emma. Great choice at breakfast. We were to stay at the oaks at Christmas, but had to cancel . So I was delighted to stay, my expectations from word of mouth were absolutely met.

There was nothing we didn’t like, although the room in which breakfast was served was a bit crowded due to the seating capacity.

Meticulously maintained. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and updated. Easy walk to get groceries. Convenient to Killarney National Park.

You can hear EVERYTHING in the hall from your room. That’s my only complaint.

Food in the restaurant was tasty. Staff in the restaurant were very pleasant.

The rooms need updating. When using the shower the floor of the bathroom became wet. The paint on the inside of the bathroom door was peeling. The shower door was leaking. The tap dripped. Beds were not very comfortable. Staff on arrival were not particularly welcoming.

Nothing to make it stand out , no extra luxuries to warrant the price . Not even a bottle of water in the room. Dining room very nice but would have expected a served hot breakfast rather than buffet for the price.

The location and the facilities are great

We went to sleep early as we had had a really busy work day only to be rudely awoken by reception calling to accuse us of creating a noise disturbance. No apology just said oh maybe its tge room at the other side......could you not have sent someone up to check it out before you woke us !!

Everything was great

The food was excellent, both at breakfast and evening meal. Great choice at breakfast in both hot and cold and everything fresh, hot and tasty. Service in restaurant in evening top class. The bedrooms have a spacious feel and are bigger than a lot of hotels I have stayed in.

No drinking water was left in room .. toilet we just towels ..! For 250 + price for night and room was not prepared as expected

Die Zimmer waren sehr komfortabel und sehr gefällig ausgestattet. Leider gibt es im Hotel keine Möglichkeit, Schmutzwäsche reinigen zu lassen. Auch der Getränkeautomat war kaputt.

Im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels war das Personal nicht so hilfsbereit und freundlich.

Sauberkeit

Das Hotel hat keinen Charakter. Für den Preis bekommt man eine in die Jahre gekommene Ausstattung und ein Zimmer im Erdgeschoss neben der Straße oder der Terasse. Abgeschieden gelegen.

That it was near lake hotel had taxi phone in reception / breakfast good but it was also too hot

No air conditioning/ bed pillows were bad / some of staff were not helpful especially when it comes to booking restaurants/ or when we complained about the heat in room the fans were not working

The hotel is in a lovely location. The foyer is very large and bright, pale colours, impersonal, and lacking a warm welcome vibe. The room (105) was a bit of a disappointment. It was dark: chipped black-painted furniture, some loose handles, and grey soft furnishing. The not very wide wardrobe was annoyingly short of hanging space as it contained the ironing board and iron, and the safe on a mid-level shelf. The bathroom was bright, there were plenty of towels ,and a large, mirrored-door, cabinet. But the left hand tap on the washbasin turned on in a clockwise direction and this had fooled a lot of people, so the tap was wobbly from people trying hard to get water out of it in the normal way. The spacious shower was powerful but the very lowest heat setting was still very hot. The toilet had a temperamental flush - don't cleaners report these things? The breakfast was good and there was something for everybody, and the room was bright and airy. The waiting staff were also good. They 'lose' one star though as one morning there was an eyelash on my side plate and the cup appeared to have just had cold water swirled around in it and then put back out for use.

Beautiful hotel just the staff at breakfast need a bit more knowledge on gluten free food as we came very near to our daughter being glutened.. when one of the waiting staff kept making mistakes in what was gluten free after around 30 mins of him back and forth to kitchen !been told sausages at the buffet which were in a bambery with white and black pudding were gluten free even after I asking quite clearly are you sure now their gluten free at the buffet ! then as my little girl was just about to eat them he came to our table in a panic saying the chef was making gluten free sausages in the kitchen and took the plate of sausages that were from the buffet from our table ..their was no gluten free cereal or pastries ect for €328 for an over night stay including breakfast i think coeliac's in this hotel aren't catered for equally

Room located above laundry room with noisy machines going from when we arrived. We could hear them even with window closed. Therefore we couldn't open windows at all for some fresh air. No temperature gauge in the room either

Very disappointed. Room was located above the laundry room and noisy machines were going from the time we booked in. We couldn't even open the windows as the noise could be even heard with windows closed. Very disappointed with our choice of hotel in Killarney
