I had an amazing 5-night stay at Veranda Grand Baie and genuinely loved my experience from the moment I arrived. I received such a warm welcome, with a very special mention to Aurore, who greeted me with a delicious local juice and my very first roti of the trip. That was such a lovely way to start my stay in Mauritius! Aurore is an incredibly sweet, kind and cheerful person, always smiling and attentive, not only to me but to everyone around her. I stayed in a Comfort Garden Room, which was very spacious and spotlessly clean. The level of care throughout the hotel really stood out to me. Every member of staff I interacted with was warm and attentive, and they genuinely made me feel special throughout my stay. I also loved that the hotel regularly organises activities, so there is always something happening. The Sega evening was definitely one of my favourite moments! The location is another huge plus. La Cuvette Beach is literally a couple of minutes away on foot and is an absolute must for sunset (the view is breathtaking). The hotel can also arrange reliable taxis, which I found very useful, especially if you are planning a day trip or want to explore without worrying about finding a driver yourself. I also had the opportunity to dine at Lazy Lobster and really enjoyed it. The food was very good and I would definitely recommend trying it during your stay. Overall, what made my stay so memorable was the warmth of the people. I felt genuinely welcomed and cared for from beginning to end.

Nothing major. One thing worth noting is that N’JOY is located right next to the hotel, so there can be some music in the evening. If you’re sensitive to noise or prefer a quieter room, I would recommend choosing a Garden Room. I stayed in one and it was perfectly peaceful.

L’hôtel est magnifique, l’emplacement parfait, le personnel très agréable et toujours au petit soin. La nourriture était très bonne et une multitude de choix avec plusieurs restaurants inclus. Lors de notre dernier jour nous avons profiter de l’hôtel malgré un départ tardif vers 16h et avons pu nous laver nous dans une chambre sans payer de supplément. Le SPA de l’hôtel était également très qualitatif et nous ne sommes malheureusement pas restés assez longtemps pour profiter de toutes les activités proposées (tennis, mini golf, plongée)

Dans la formule demi-pension l’eau n’était pas inclue (hormis dans la chambre) lors des repas

We had a truly enjoyable stay at Veranda Grand Baie Hotel & Spa — the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, and the rum tasting along with the fun game they organized was absolutely fantastic! A special thank you to Cristabelle and Raj for making the experience even more memorable.

The only area that could be improved is the breakfast and meal spread, which felt limited and repetitive compared to the rest of the wonderful experience.

J'ai voyage avec ma fille, et nous avions reserve une chambre pour deux. La chambre etait tres propre et jolie, avec une terrasse donnant sur la mer. Tres belle vue, surtout au coucher du soleil.

Nous avons tout apprecie.

An unclean hotel, without spraying and with lots of ants and mosquitoes in large quantities, plus we had to return to our country for medical reasons and they didn't consider us for the 5 nights we paid for! Do not recommend.

Das gesamte Personal ist sehr freundlich, das Hotel hat viele kleine Plätze (eine kleine Hütte hier, ein paar Bänke da), die sehr charmant bespielt und genutzt werden. Meine Frau hat des Spa-Bereich genutzt und war von Massagen und Treatments sehr angetan, kurz: Wir haben uns insgesamt sehr wohl gefühlt!

L'emplacement est idéal à pieds pour accéder à la plage et quelques magasins et restaurants. L'ensemble du personnel est très aimable aussi bien à la réception, restauration, aux activités. Avec le sourire et toujours envie de vous faire plaisir. Les activités nautiques pour un bébé sont super. Bonne ambiance musicale le soir.

Les choix au buffet du soir manquaient un peu de diversité culinaire. Si la piscine extérieure était chauffée, cela aurait été formidable.

Really nice greeting. Most staff were really friendly towards our child. Beautiful views.

Just missed the mark on a few things. Shower took 15-20 minutes to heat up. We asked if they could fix it but they never did. Dinner is super late 7pm (not ideal if you have a baby) and there's no food options until 12. Not much Mauritian food options either just pizza and fried food. Service is pretty slow some days took them an hour to bring me a beer and a pizza. Another time we sat down for cocktails at crique bar and didn't get served until 45 minutes. Also the coffee in the breakfast buffet was disgusting. I think they might need to descale or clean the machine.

Very well appointed and thought out from the room layout and cupboard space to the dining, pool and beach area.

Absolutely lovely resort even as a solo traveller! The location is perfect, right on the beach and close to central grand baie. The half-board option was perfect for me - thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and dinner buffets. Big thank you to Fardeen who works in the restaurant, such a lovely man! Also Emily on the front desk was an absolute delight!

Bit of a bug problem but they are aware of it. Lots of ants in the room, was constantly squashing them.

The overall experience was fantastic, staff is friendly, the location is excellent, the resort has a very private and quaint feel to it.

The bathroom was very veery small.

Great location on the beach, lovely rooms, short walk into the town, hotel is beautiful, staff were lovely and accommodating when our flight was cancelled and we didn’t stove until 4am.

Could maybe have a bigger variety at breakfast, but overall it was still good.

Her şey harikaydı. Sadece odalarda hasır eşyalar tercih edildiğinden ve hava durumundan kaynaklı nem olduğundan biraz koku vardı onun haricinde her şey mükemmeldi. Tüm çalışanların güler yüzlü olması ve samimi eğlenceli olmaları da büyük bir artı. Yerel ürün satıcıları için sunulan alan ise harikulade bir düşünceydi. Her gün canlı müzik ve gösteriler ise eşsizdi. Yemekleri ise herkese hitap eden çeşitli ve lezzetliydi. Çok teşekkür ederiz harika bir tatildi!

We had a wonderful stay at Veranda Grand Baie. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, a beautiful beachfront location, and the overall ambiance is very relaxing. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and we really enjoyed spending time around the pool and the beach. The staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always willing to help with a smile, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Massage was good, food was good.

lo staff gentilissimo, in particolare Jamelio si è sempre reso sorridente e disponiibile. stanze belle come da foto, spiaggia sia dell'hotel che quella vicina davvero da sogno. cibo ok con scelte internazionali

Se proprio devo trovare un difetto, varierei più il menù, pensando anche a persone che amano cibo healthy

J’ai beaucoup apprécié mon séjour dans cet hôtel. Le restaurant était excellent et la vue magnifique, ce qui a rendu chaque repas encore plus agréable. Le personnel était chaleureux, souriant et toujours serviable, ce qui fait vraiment la différence. J’ai également beaucoup aimé la piscine, parfaite pour se détendre. Et bien sûr, le rhum proposé sur place est un vrai plus et ne s’oublie pas ! Une très belle expérience que je recommande.

The noise during the nights. This was out of hotel''s control but it is something that should be highlighted. If you are there for party then that is great however, if you want to relax and sleep earlier then this is not possible. Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, there was a loud music coming from the near club called N'JOY which makes it impossible to sleep or relax. We were unlucky that there was party on Tuesday too. This seems to be known issue therefore I recommend a sound proof windows for the affected rooms.

Un séjour inoubliable au Veranda Grand Baie pour l'anniversaire de ma mère. L'hôtel est magnifique et idéalement situé, mais ce qui a vraiment fait la différence, c'est l'accueil exceptionnel du personnel. Un immense merci à Aurore et à toute l'équipe pour l'attention toute particulière : un gâteau d'anniversaire surprise absolument délicieux qui nous a beaucoup touché ! C’est ce genre de petit détail et de bienveillance qui transforme un beau voyage en un souvenir magique. (Gros coup de cœur pour les activités proposés au veranda grand baie ainsi que la journée de l'indépendance avec le spectacle, j'ai beaucoup apprécié y participer) Nous recommandons les yeux fermés!

L’accueil est très chaleureux. Les repas très bons et les logements confortables.

Notre chambre était située près de la piscine, la musique était très forte jusqu’à tard le soir ce qui empêchait notre fille de s’endormir.

Le buffet laisse un peu a désirer, manque d'anticipation pour approvisionner les plats.

Location is perfect. Seculded but a short walk along the beach and you are on the main street of Grand Baie. Great location to explore and also relax. Staff were local and helpful and the welcome felt more personal than other resorts/hotels.

Our fridge stopped working in our apartment and it took a few days to be replaced. The apartments are also a decent walk to all the main facilities.

The location is perfect, just next to my favourite La Cuvette small public beach, where ocean is clean and you can actually swim not being afraid of rocks in shallow water. All the rooms in this hotel are surrounded with garden, nice terraces, a lot of birds to enjoy their singing. Breakfasts were tasty and variety of food was pleasant. Staff was attentive and helpful. They have 2 (!) bars with great cocktails and other drinks on the site to relax after dinner (or anytime lol). One bar is on the beach so you can enjoy water view. I loved Mauritius styled snacks they have (we tried them all and I advise you do the same, very tasty). A choice of local rum is impressive! Thanks for doing amazing job, guys!

I found that toilet in the bathroom doesn't really provide much privacy (in terms of soundproofing), as there is only a wooden door with horizontal ventilation holes between bathroom and bedroom. A very small detail though, and that's the only one thing I found inconvenient.
