Location and rooms lovely nice restaurant too
Breakfast was nice and a good choice, but it was absolutely packed with golfers.
For the price we paid for the room, a luxury king, I expected a nicer room and at least a view out of the window which we didn’t get.
Lovely hotel and great location. Room was very large and comfortable.
No air conditioning
Excellent facilities. Great stay

Unique location, beautiful grounds and well maintained. Great helpful friendly staff. Room well appointed and plenty of parking. Spa area well maintained and relatively quiet during our stay.
Huge, was challenging to find way around. Not ideal for those with mobility impairments but the staff were very approachable and accommodating so I am sure there would be help on hand.
The reception staff were amazing and very friendly
Restaurant in the evening, service was very slow and food not of the standard we expected
The grounds were beautiful The location of the hotel was fabulous The staff at the reception was friendlly There was lots of parking around the hotel
Breakfast was not up to the standards I expected for that amount of money My room was not refreshed The shower screen was not effective as water was going everywhere when taking a shower flooding the floor.
Beautiful property and excellent staff. Food and drinks are a little overpriced for the standard.
I liked everything about the property
Beautiful location, very friendly staff, food was lovely
Bar was noisy with golfers but we managed to find a quieter spot
The room had a very fusty and unpleasant smell it also didn’t feel clean, the whole property is tired throughout
Off peak its good value for money. The rooms and beds are big and comfortable. The breakfast is really very good indeed. The gym is surprisingly well equipped and really decent for a hotel, the pool (while not big) is decent you just have to watch out for kids swimming classes at certain times.
Rooms can get a bit stuffy on a hot day and the windows don't open too far which is a bit annoying.
Beautiful surroundings, lovely room, very clean
Lovely surroundings, quiet and comfortable. Large selection for breakfast.
It was raining and we had to walk outside to get to the restaurant for breakfast.
Lovely grounds and main building. Fast internet.
A little dated and tired. Eg; several locker door hinges in change room broken. Dining room decor. No air conditioning. Opening the bedroom windows, the hinges creaked and ground.

Food
Stunning grounds and access to an indoor pool. Ate at the sports bar, breakfast and dinner. Rooms were large and comfortable.
Poor signage to 300 plus rooms. No signage from the car park. Instructions from reception staff were vague and miss leading. I called reception who then told me to drive my car back to reception. We were in the right place but no idea where our rooms were. On arrival at 4.30pm, one of our rooms wasn't ready. Had to wait another two hours for it to be prepared. Then confusion and stress trying to find the rooms meant a stressful start to the weekend. We booked our rooms months ago. Small thing but no plug sockets around the bed.
Beautiful setting and lovely views and garden
Buffet breakfast was cold and congealed
A lovely room . comfy lage bed ,had an evening meal as it was my birthday and the food was excellent , staff and service was superb. Breakfast was very well catered for ( a good point ! plates were hot ) Special note for the receptionist on arrival professional & friendly really put the effort in to make us feel welcome
Room was quiet apart from the door closers, made every room door seem like they were being slammed shut Slight low point the shower screen was inadequate and left a lot of water on the bathroom floor
Amazing place to be! Beautiful hotel with lovely gardens and pet cemetery. Great spa area and even better food during dinner. Our family of four enjoyed the stay a lot.
It was good one
Gallery fill so narrow
The room was spacious, clean and well laid out. The views from our room increased the enjoyment of the stay.
Being woken up by the ground staff mowing the course early. The limited gluten free offerings.
Such a beautiful hotel. The staff was Amaizing. The food the coffee. The staff were so so helpful. Definitely going back as did not have the time to explore all of the grounds. Will definitely go back
The bathroom shower cover was not working properly so had to dry up the floor every morning but the cleaning staff were so so helpful and gave us enough floor towels to dry it up. Only fault!
Clean
Dinner was very poor, we have now used the restaurant 4 times and the food was awful.
Beautiful countryside hotel in the midst of a golf course, nice place to stay and unwind with a swimming pool, a well stocked gym and a great breakfast.
No air conditioning in the rooms, but the table fans help on hot days.
Beautiful building and lovely grounds.
It was a very long journey to our room up and down many staircases and long corridors. No lift was available and we had to lug our cases up and down stairs. The receptionist when we checked in did not warn us of this. Perhaps it is my fault that I didn’t look at reviews before I booked! The hotel is quite dated, particularly the bedrooms and bathrooms. Everything was clean, but I didn’t fancy having a bath because the plug hole surround was discoloured and the tile grouting looked old and grubby. The first room we were given had an ill fitting shower screen and so when we had a shower, the bathroom floor flooded. We asked to be moved and were moved to a bigger room with a better bathroom, although this was a disabled access room because it had a lower sink and low bath and red cords next to the bed and in the bathroom. Although goodness only knows how anyone in a wheelchair would’ve been able to access the room up and down all those stairs! Also, I appreciate that historic buildings like this don’t have air-conditioning, but really if that’s the case, then a good quality tower fan should be installed in each room and not the small desk fan that was provided. If our summers are going to continue to be this hot, then I fail to see how a hotel like this will continue to attract guests in the summer months as the rooms were stifling. We ate in the brasserie restaurant on our first night and the food was quite a good standard and the service was also good. The The ambience is a little lacking though because like the rest of the hotel, it is somewhat dated and the furniture and decor is functional rather than stylish.
Friendliness of receptionist so felt very welcome. The comfort of the room and general friendliness of the staff.
The dinner was good, but expensive for what it was. The water price was also more than written on the menu.
Beautiful
Could have A/C
We ate at the Brasserie on each of our nights at this hotel. The host and the allocated waiting staff were professional and with a happy disposition and attentive. All waiting staff, although very busy with the large numbers of guests in both brasserie and other function rooms, carried it all with no show of being flustered. A gratuity was well deserved, as the brasserie did not include a service charge. ************* Fabulous landscaped gardens, with an array of flowers. The large gardens and golf course, must be a considerable funding outlay. Well done to the gardeners who tend to them. Reception staff on arrival and all other times always ready to assist and provided places of interest. Set in beautiful countryside. Great location. Historic hotel building - one of the oldest hotel buildings in the world, which Delta Marriott own and run.

Its location is brilliant.
In the country with lots of greenery
This hotel is set in beautiful surroundings and has very friendly staff. A special thank you to Emma who went above and beyond to assist me as I have mobility issues after having brain surgery. She was so helpful and knowledgeable, her presence made the stay an even more enjoyable experience.

Zimmer und Bett hielten nicht, was uns versprochen wurde! Das Badezimmer war sehr klein. English Breakfast war phantastisch!
The hotel grounds are stunning. Breakfast was lovely. Nice swimming pool. Exceptional staff - people working there make the place special.Everyone is smiling, helpfull and trying their absolutely best to help you. They are wonderful.
Rooms a bit outdated
Mooie locatie, accommodatie en erg goed ontbijt
Erg warm op de kamers (geen airco, wel ventilator).
Too noisy, disabled facilities atrocious. This was a wedding event totally unacceptable! I attended a wedding on 18/7/2026, I’m disabled and in a wheelchair. On our visit to the venue to view we found a problem with the disabled toilets, An employee, Ian, had to help together with my husband lift myself From the seat. It was decided then, that an extra toilet seat would be in place on the day. This was put in place but totally USELESS! Reason being the original toilet seat couldn’t be moved out of the way to house the toilet pan. I again needed 2 people to lift me off! This was very degrading! Obviously no-one had taken much thought into the issue,, especially as I’d mentioned it before. YES there was an additional aid, but no thought behind it! We left earlier than intended due to this issue, also knowing the toilet in the main building definitely doesn’t work either, Needs attention too. I’m pointing all this out for future ‘Mobility’ clients you may have. I don’t think in my opinion you should advertise the hotel is disabled friendly at this moment in time.
Location
condition of room was tired Room service ordered but not delivered
Grounds were beautiful. Restaurants and food was lovely. Staff very friendly and helpful
The pillows were extremely uncomfortable and had no support. The bathroom was slightly grubby, could do with a touch up of paint.
Had a fantastic spa experience. Jakob gave me the best massage I've had at any Spa. Feeling relaxed.
Had a lovely relaxing spa break with my daughter at the breadsall priory. I would highly recommend Valentina for beauty treatments, she was professional and very attentive, making us feel amazing! We are already planning our next visit.
Grounds were amazing
No air conditioning and lack of plugs. Bathroom needs updating
Staff beers brilliant. Good choice of dinner and breakfast. Amazing location
Our bathroom. The shower was hard to turn on and was angled badly. The shower door didn’t fit so our bathroom flooded. Worryingly it was dry when we returned after breakfast- not sure where the water disappeared to
Lovely friendly staff
Exceptional room, and hotel Let down by staff at night ,who showed no empathy when we had to cut short our stay, in fact we're almost dismissive of our predicament We wasn't expecting any discount/refund etc (the staff thought that) I just informed them we had to go!
Sorry see above
Beautiful grounds
Dreadful food in the restaurant
Big room large bed great view lots of history and character
Stairs and more stairs. No air conditioning and no face cloths / flannel provided.
The age of the property
The rooms were a little dated
We enjoyed two nights here. Well run and beautiful grounds with golf courses adjacent and Chevin GC with amazing views only 15 minutes away. Staff very good, rooms clean and well appointed. Lovely terrace for drinks overlooking lake and grounds. Food not great but adequate. Izzy our evening waitress was excellent. Lovely manner, unflappably and clearly lives her job. A joy to see. Pool used by children’s groups during the day so check on times for swimming. Didn’t manage to use spa or pool.
Great location and beautifully maintained
Sadly no aircon in room but fan was provided
Super clean and a gorgeous property we got our room upgraded to priory suite and the views were honestly superb , booked to come back next week we loved it so much :) spa is lovely and clean and the facilities were exceptional
Nothing really apart from paying slightly more than usual but I did book it one day before our stay so that is my fault not the hotels, as next week we have booked to come back and it’s half the price !

The most amazing experience. From the insane views, to the amazing facilities and the amazing staff, in particular Lexi. Who went above and beyond to accommodate to a large group of guests. She made the experience amazing. All of us said we would 100% recommend and return again. Really good value for money.

The grounds were beautiful and vast. The room too was large and airy.
There was no minibar. The breakfast was very ordinary.
Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. We stayed in a traditional priory room, at the top of the main building and it was massive! The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was very nice. I would also recommend the Rose and Crown pub nearby for dinner. The food was really nice and the price was about a third less. Thw gardens were also very pretty and we enjoyed playing croquet on the lawn!

The hotel was in amazing grounds, with a lovely garden, restaurant was very good . Room very comfortable.
The bar next to the golf club was noisy at night with people sitting outside, our room was near that .
Beautiful building with lots of history.
excellent hotel. room was nice with a big comfortable bed and a lovely view out over the lake and fountain. staff were helpful and friendly and will help in any way they can. will definitely stay here again.
only bad thing i came across was the tv in the room had a poor signal so not many channels actually worked

Had a lovely facial with Jakub, I felt well looked after . Jakub was professional and Friendly. My colleagues also had treatments with Lexi and have all said was a great experience. Lexi also helped organise our day beforehand, making everything smooths d stress free from the start
The location of this country club is magnificent, it has a very calm and quiet atmosphere. The room was very clean, however there was no air conditioning in the room which in hot weather (like it was during my stay) the room became very stuffy. We were left with a fan which was reassuring. I was greatly disappointed with the service at the restaurant of the country club. We had a table reserved for 8pm and upon arrival (8pm) we were told that the staff had to check to see if the table was available even though we booked for 8pm. After we were sat down, we waited 25 minutes for our order to be taken. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time. After waiting for 40 minutes, we asked a waiter how much longer the starters were going to take because waiting 40 minutes for a starter was rather extortionate. We were reassured that the starters were being made in the kitchen and should be with us soon. After waiting 50 minutes after the order was taken, we received the starters. We then waited a further 35 minutes for our main course to arrive. We sat down at our table at 8:05pm and we left at 10:00pm. I expected better service however, the waitress that was looking after us was extremely helpful. My overall stay in the hotel was very relaxing and it was lovely to overlook the golf course whilst sat on the patio area.

Gorgeous building and grounds, very friendly and professional staff from check in to the restaurant and cleaning staff.
Some attention to be paid at bathroom shower fitting, some mould on areas and plug area. Otherwise cleaned daily.
The place is breathtaking
Room service sandwich at 9.00pm was very nice but pricey (approx £20 for a sandwich !!) The meal was bought via a company credit card
Didn't provide a VAT receipt with the meal and reception couldn't provide a VAT receipt but pointed me to the kitchen. I didn't have time to chase the receipt as I was late for my appointment. The company policy is no receipt no refund on expenses!
i like the old building which is the mini castle look.
The food was bet tasty and having two separate bars you could go to helped. The staff were exceptional they could not do enough to help and always had a smile. And the small pool and relaxation area was brilliant if you’re looking for a good quiet break.
There’s nothing I could write I liked it all

Stunning hotel in a beautiful location. Staff were very efficient and friendly
Small detail the artwork in the hotel.
I was punched by a young man at the hotel bar. The hotel did nothing. To my astonishment they actually served him, AND HIS MATES, alcohol the very next day at the same hotel bar. I left for my own safety. This hotel were more concerned in sweeping this under the rug than anything else. Thank you for nothing, you should be ashamed. Disgraceful
Przepiękne miejsce. Jedzenie bardzo dobre. Duże porcje obiadowe. Biegające po terenach zielonych wiewiórki i króliki. Spokojna okolica.
Brak szlafroków w pokojach.
All good. Polite and helpful staff.
Too many visitors at that time.

Beautiful buildings, very good leisure and golf facilities.
Noise from golfing groups. Doors banging late at night and early mornings. We informed the reception staff and suggested that in future the hotel clearly displays some appropriately placed signs asking groups to close doors quietly and to respect other staying guests. We have stayed at numerous hotels that display such signs/notices. This may have been a ‘one-off’, but it did happen on BOTH nights of our stay. Overall a great place to stay, but given the price point, we would anticipate that a certain level of conduct should be clearly made clear for ALL guests, golf players or not. We hope that these comments are acted upon by the establishment for future guests.
Set in some lovely grounds , plus golf courses we stopped here one night for an anniversary do. Check in easy and helpful. We got a unexpected room upgrade thank you , lovely large room overlooking the small Lake. Everything worked fine in the room Venue is nice , food served with the anniversary event very nice , we took evening dining , the curry was great plenty on our plates. Breakfast was very good , choices aplenty plus cooked food , coffee rather nice has well. Attentive staff Recommend.
Great service, facilities were good, breakfast was nice. Bedroom was comfortable but AC was not working, and bathroom was not cleaned - hence maintenance team had to come and clean the bathroom.
Location and staff was great
The scenery and setting of the grounds were beautiful. All staff were very courteous and friendly.
Use of a wheelchair was a little awkward but kept me fit. The hotel did prewarn us and offered the use of a golf buggy to assist if we needed it. The hotel was attached to a golf course so carparks and area was very busy.
Very nice hotel, with beautiful views and grounds. Facilities are also great, we enjoyed the swimming pool in particular and it was really nice and warm. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean with everything we needed for a pleasant stay.
There are really minor things that weren't too bad but could be better, like our bathroom door was squeaky, so not ideal if not everyone is awake. And the way how the golfers park at the parking makes it a bit tight and not easy to park. But overall no problems and we are very happy, and probably will come back again!
Wonderful location Excellent staff Splendid food Allowed to park our classic cars in front of the hotel
Nothing
Beautiful place and surroundings
The grounds, facilities, meals, room. Ease of getting there.
Just needed more food choices. I love fish and pasta dishes, even a sneaky posh pizza
beautiful property, lovely room overlooking golf course and garden meal in restaurant excellent
We were given a room upgrade to a suite because it was our anniversary, the staff were very attentive and looked after us wonderfully
The Grounds were lovely Quiet in our room
Facilities struggled to sit outside and find a table to sit swimming pool unable to swim due to swimming classes
The room was fantastic and the gold really enjoyable
Dinner was more basic than it should have been for a hotel of this quality. The portions were really small (especially after 18 holes of golf). Charging £1 for each bread roll was probably not necessary.
15 of us have just had a wonderful two days at Breadsall Priory. Thoroughly enjoyed the courses (the Priory is brutal!). The staff were smiling and welcoming. The food and service was excellent and our room, overlooking the Priory 18th green, was very large and clean. We'll be back next year. A big thanks to the whole team at Breadsall.
Stunning olace and location however its the staff that really make this place special. They went out of their way to surprise the wife for her birthday with petals and chocolates in the room and treated excellent by all staff encountered
Location, facilities, value for money
Room slightly dated / plain.
The public spaces and grounds beautiful
Bedroom and bathroom very basic
