Location is nice and it’s clean.

Our first time staying and will definitely book more than two days next year. So much to do on site. Perfect for kids of all ages. It's truly the perfect family place to enjoy all the Smoky Mountains have to offer.

My family loved it the rooms were great for my family of ten amazing!

I felt like we needed more information about the movie screen if we needed to watch our own movies on it or if there was movie nights they weren’t mentioned other then that the place was amazing!

The staff was very helpful. The water park for little kids. The hotel and water park was definitely a plus.

The TV in the living room kept going out. The maintenance people had to keep coming out. The parents weren't watching the bigger kids because the bigger kids kept trampling the little kids from 2-4 years of age.

Everything was aged. I know its not a new hotel. So some age is expected but seems like it has been maintained just enough… didnt like that we couldnt control the thermostat to go below 68. Our room stayed hot most of the trip. And ac unit sounded like it was gonna fall apart. Wasnt a break for us, but i wont stay here during summer months or even warmer months again. Cant sleep when im hot

That the area for young children was not monitored by anyone. Grow ups were up there going down the slide. That was for the little kids. If they had a young child that would have been ok but it was older teens and adults. I just feel they should be told to not use it. Little kids can’t use the slides inside or out unless they are 36inches with adult or 42 without. So teens and adults shouldn’t be using kids area

Stay and play in one place

Kids loved the waterpark, amenities, and all of the included activities. Rooms and facilities were clean and the staff was very friendly.

The couch in the living room was quite uncomfortable and the beds were a bit too hard. Also, certain activities (gem mining, build-a-buddy) stated that they would include a fee but did not state the price.

Loved how big the room was. And loved the water slides.

I loved the ease of the wrist band was for resort amenities and also your room key. All adults had a room key in their band and there was no having to track down where the key card was at because it was always with you.

Personal preference they should have supplied dish soap as they did supply a one time use dish washer detergent.

Not very clean, stained pack and play, stained bedding, uncomfortable bedding, shower does not drain properly and jets in the tub did not function but I would visibly see mold/mildew.

The 2 bedroom condo was perfect for our family. We loved the indoor and outdoor water park.

I love that our room was literally an apartment. Everything you need is right there. Washer dryer, full kitchen etc.

The staff was always helpful and friendly. We love the indoor and outdoor pools. The indoor life guards were watchful and diligent while people were on the water slides. It was overall a great stay. We did not like the late check in 4 pm and then earlier check out of 10 Am It felt like we lost a day in the outdoor pool area. They did cater to our grandchildren and had a variety of activities through out the day.

Amazing experience! We are a family of 5, kids aged 2, 6 and 8. Rooms were wonderful, comfortable and stocked. It was quite the value for everything that we were able to accomplish. The location was so close to all of the experiences we did (pirate voyage dinner, zorbing, mountain coaster, mini golf, dining, etc). Nothing more than 15 minutes for each drive. The water park was a wonderful time! My kids let us know it was the “best family trip ever”. We would recommend this resort time and again. Cannot wait to come back for another trip!

Huge spider/webs on the balcony. Top yellow & white bed blanket was dirty. Blood, Pen, and other weird stains on both beds on blankets when we flipped them over. Shower curtain dirty at the bottom. The splash pad in the inside was down, the one on the outside closes early so it was kind of hard finding spot where the 2 & 3 year olds could play safely.

Great place to stay! There is so much to do at The Resort at Governor’s Crossing that you could easily spend your entire trip there without ever needing to leave. It also has very easy access to many of the popular attractions. We came for a special Birthday Girls’ Trip celebration and had four generations of women together, ranging in age from 80 years old down to 4 years old. We were celebrating my oldest granddaughter’s 13th birthday, and she requested to come back here for all of her future birthdays. The younger girls agreed and requested the same! I believe a new family tradition has begun. What a wonderful place to make special memories together!

The beds were SO uncomfortable!! I had a sore back every day and slept terrible. I also hate the wrist bands that you can’t remove and are forced to wear everywhere for however many days you’re there. Not enough parking by building 1

The amount of guest your pool seating does not accommodate the group. People keep the chairs and tables occupied and other guest has no seating. I think your pool does not fit the amount of guest staying. I would give one star for that.

The staff was very friendly and helped with all our issues.

The air quit working. My family had to be split up for a night. The faucet had no pressure. Bathtub faucet wouldn't work only shower head. My kids waited for over an hour to get blankets after we had to move rooms 3 times. Alot of inconveniences on this trip. Not once were we offered a discounted stay to come back. Very disappointed.

Great for kids

I loved that there were tons of things to do with the family. It was really nice not having to leave and there being activities all do for the little ones.

The only thing we really didn’t care for was how bad of a chlorine smell there was in the indoor pool the first few days they didn’t have the doors open and the smell was horrible made it hard the breath and out eyes burn really bad.

The condominium was spacious, very clean and had all the necessities we needed especially the washer dryer and all the kitchen gadgets. Made our stay simple and easy!

I booked my room a month in advance I used to stay here quite often like every other weekend when my husband was alive first I was put in a room with no balcony and no wifi service i ask why I was put here they said it was busy and they were out of room and all this was after they made me wait until 5 p.m. to check in NEVER AGAIN

The slides and attractions here are fantastic to end each day after exploring the area. However, the safety team is what makes it a 5-star experience. A huge thank you to the lifeguard, Winter, who was stationed near the indoor pool area and did an amazing job. Winter did a phenomenal job managing the crowd flow, enforcing safety rules strictly but politely, and staying alert and attentive at all times. That level of dedication doesn't go unnoticed. Winter even had waterproof light up rings for the kiddos and I was fortunate enough to receive the clear, diamond like ring! Winter, you were a diamond 💎 during our family vacation! It was a pleasure meeting you! Thank you for your dedication in keeping all guests safe!

The price it was way too expensive. Some of the staff were rude and it wasn't the cleanest. The Wi-Fi didn't hardly work. Our TV in our room didn't work.

It was a beautiful weekend, the entire room was beautiful and perfect for our little getaway. Very clean and everything was there that was needed and even when we just wanted to stay at the resort, the pools and everything made it perfect. The only little part we didn't like was the beds being just a little too hard. But nothing to actually complain about, we all have our own preferences.

Great experience, clean and well maintained. Friendly staff that was almost invisible during housekeeping. Lifeguards were so attentive, I was very impressed. Pools were clean and not over chlorinated. My only complaint, which is minor, is that parking is limited and the area we had to park when it was full was not lit and relied on the closer lighting.

How small the crowd was. Not busy which was nice.

The front desk staff were extremely rude which really plays a part in how the stay will be for someone. I’m not usually one to complain but the two ladies at front desk were not a good look for this hotel.

We had a wonderful mini vacation!! We have a 13 y/o daughter and a 3 y/o son. Both had an amazing time during our little two day trip! My husband and I had so much fun. We were very happy with our room and the kitchen. Everything was so clean. The staff are pleasant and helpful. We will be back for a longer stay.

Save yourself the time and effort and don’t book here. We drove 14 hours for this hotel to tell me that they didn’t have my room available. When booking this hotel online through Expedia, Expedia asked how many children are over 2. I selected 0 as my babies are both under 2 years old. When I arrived to the hotel the employee told me I couldn’t have to the room I booked because it is Fire Marshall code in Tennessee to not have more than one infant in a room with a king sized bed. I would blame a technological glitch for this occurring however I called the hotel months in advance to confirm my booking was correct and the employee on the phone me that it was booked correctly. The manager Chris was terrible and no help, he told me he has no other rooms which was a lie because I had 2 other family members call the call center of the governors resort and both parties were informed the room had other rooms available to accommodate my party but I would have to pay more money which I would have done if that option was presented to me. Chris told me he had no other rooms and I ended up paying 450$ to stay at the Margaritaville last minute. This terrible resort ruined my birthday trip. They took absolutely no accountability for the inconvenience they caused me. I asked Chris for a higher level manager to call me back and not to my surprise no one called me. Also it looks nothing like the photos and looks run down and old im not sure they even had an elevator

We loved everything about our stay. Rooms were clean and homey feeling. The staff was amazingly nice. It was located in good location. It was good price for the experience! There is indoor and outdoor waterpark.

We love staying here, the rooms are spacious and clean, if you experience any issues they’re on it immediately; the ladies at the front office are super friendly and very helpful. Can’t beat the location, the water parks are great and not too crowded. This is our go to place when visiting the area which is quite often.

I love the full kitchen, which they provide all the dishes you need. The rooms were great with a lot of space. The indoor pools were awesome. The outdoor waterpark was so fun. The pools stayed open until 11pm each night so that made it much more enjoyable for my family. There were a lot of activities to do everyday at the resort, but we couldn’t explore it all in a weekend. We will definitely be back! I wish I could have brought that Smoky mountain mist products home, they smell soooo good! There was so much good about this resort! It’s so easy going and a place made for having great family fun.

Great for a family vacation! The location is conveniently located. Only 8 mins to Dollywood. The kids loved the pools and water slides. All of the staff are very friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. Our back door was on the path that leeds to the outside activities, playground, gem mining, s'more stations, outdoor movies, etc.

We like to cook instead of eating out. If you make something that needs a baking sheet bigger than a small Dollar Tree size, you should bring one. The knives are dull, and the can opener didn't work. If you have a family larger than 5, you will need more forks.

We enjoyed the pool area but it was so busy, we limited our time there.

Our room was dirty. There was dust on all the furniture, like visible dust. The sink in a bathroom was stopped up and the toilet was running unless we would jiggle and mess with the handle.

Loved the water park except the slides should be open 9am-10pm not 11am-7pm. Also, all the activities for the kids were wonderful! This property was clean & the staff were exceptionally nice!

This is the first resort we have stayed at and the mattresses did not have mattress protectors on them. I was very disturbed by this. Also, the front desk needs more staff to answer the phone instead of being put on hold without giving the option to speak as soon as they answer they immediately put me on hold for over 15mins. Also, the water slides should open when the waterpark opens not 11am.

This is a great place, especially if you have children. The water parks and pools were excellent. We has a queen room and it was fantastic. Full size stove and fridge. I wish we could have stayed longer, but we will definitely stay here again on our next trip. We enjoyed the live music at the gazebo out back. The young man was great.

A rug or mat perhaps at the entrance doors. They are right across from the pool and there was alway a lot of water on the floors. Someone could very easliy slip and fall.

After searching and battling pricings/locations to reserve online at other resorts nearby. I called The Governors Resort and had a reservation in 2 minutes. Jessie and Megan (??? I want to give credit to who was working, 7/10/26) were great! Upon arrival, every staff member from the start of our trip through the end was always nice and helpful. The employees seemed genuine and never burdened by any guest, which is a sign of a great place to be employeed too. Thank you for the memories from our family of 6 and the Resort will definitely be our only place to stay when visiting TN.

Our stay started off great even before we got there with phone help with our reservations. When we arrived, Sarah, who was working at night at the front desk, was incredibly kind, helpful, thoughtful, and creative, even though I went to her multiple times and we were kind of a special situation. Of all the kind and friendly interactions we had with the staff, I especially want to call out Tim, the Lightyear croc Lifeguard, who was very friendly and engaging and helped us out with older kids being rude at the little waterslide. The rooms were clean and the kids had a blast with all the waterslides and pool activities. Shout out to management for Sarah and Tim!

An employee at the waterpark was extremely rude to multiple guests even having a recent major surgery she said I could not use my own float even though they didn’t have handicap style floats. The rules did not state this however the rules did state no one in the lazy river without a float when someone questioned if it was ok she stated yes that those rules were the wrong rules.
