La posizione dell'hotel é fantastica, in centro, comoda per i treni e autobus e per fare escursioni o mare. Un grande grazie a Chiara alla reception molto disponibile e risolutiva. Camera e bagno ampi, buoni materassi.

La piscina ha delle scale di accesso molto scomode e tutto il bordo esterno è molto scivoloso. Colazione varia, persinalmente non ho apprezzato i dolci. Avevamo una camera con terrazzo chiuso da piante, avrei preferito un balcone come indicato nella camera prenotata.

Posizione. Parcheggio. Accoglienza. Colazione discreta.

Dotazione toilette praticamente assente. Presenza di alcune formiche nel bagno.

Piscina e Jacuzzis fecham muito cedo para um lugar tão quente e turístico (19:00h). Pedí comida no quarto uma vez e me cobraram 10 euros de taxa de entrega (achei abusivo).

Great location, just out of the busy main Piazza Tasso square but easy to walk within 5 minutes. Also a slow 20 minute walk to Sant’Agnello which has some beautiful restaurants. Train station & bus stops very close by. Hotel staff were very warm & welcoming. Hotel had a relaxed atmosphere, particularly on the 5th floor bar area, 6th floor pool area & breakfast service. Would booking again.

Nothing not to like. The annex rooms would benefit from updating but Sorrento & the Amalfi Coast is for exploring!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Michelangelo! A couple of us had stayed there just one night a few years ago and liked it so much that we decided to come back for a longer stay. The rooms are beautiful, the staff is incredibly kind and helpful, and the location is perfect– extremely close to the main piazza (5 min walk), the train station (2 min walk), zones where most excursions leave from (5-10 min walk), and the marina piccola (5-10 min taxi ride or 15-20 min walk). The hotel also has a sky bar with a lovely view, very good food, and great live music on different nights. The breakfast buffet is also delicious and in an immaculate room reminiscent of an old-fashioned riviera resort. The hotel is located on the main drag of Sorrento, very close to many nice shops and restaurants. The staff couldn't have been nicer and were always available to help us when needed. We all highly recommend Hotel Michelangelo to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient stay in Sorrento, and we hope to come back soon ourselves!

Tiny, crowded swimming pool. Not enough elevators. No offer to help with bags. Air conditioning didnt work. It wasnt terribly hot but AC controls did nothing. Phone in room didnt work. I told front desk and the man smiled and nodded so I gave up asking for help. My bathtub/shower was stuck in the bath position so had to bathe the old fashioned way. It wasn't a terrible experience altogether but I expect better from something rated as a 4 star hotel, which earned it the 6 out of 10 rating

Mini baarin hinnastoa ei ollut missään ja jääkaapissa oli vain muutama tuote, joten ajattelimme että ne kuuluu huoneeseen. Ei sitten kuulunut vaan lähtiessä maksettiin kaikki. Epämiellyttävää kun hinnastoa ei laiteta esille.

Hotellin työntekijät oli todella mukavia ja ystävällisiä. Uima-altaat oli kivat ja näkymät hienot! Huone oli tilava.

Muitíssimo bem localizado, com estacionamento que comporta vans, foi ótima nossa estadia no Hotel Michelangelo. A facilidade de estar perto de tudo numa cidade super turística ajuda muito. A piscina também foi um plus nessa época tão quente na Itália.

Foi ótima nossa estadia e com certeza recomendo. Apenas tovemos um episódio que poderia ter sido melhor. Quando chegamos estava faltando toalhas no quarto. Apesar de ir 2 vezes na recepção, não quiseram me entregar as toalhas e demorou bastante para o funcionário levar no quarto. MAs acho que foi algo pontual.

A very nice hotel, some of the staff were very helpful and friendly, others less so. We had a duplex room in the top floor by the rooftop bar which was very comfortable. Breakfast was ok, not the best breakfast buffet we’ve had, but by no means the worst. The swimming pools were a welcome feature in the 40 degree heat. Location wise, the hotel is away from the very busy centre of Sorrento, but not too far to walk.

The hotel needed a little updating in places, for example in our room there were lots of marks on the wall and it needed repainting. A wider range of fresh fruit on the breakfast buffet would have been nice.

The staff was great. Really great customer service. They offer breakfast which helps eliminate having to figure where to go every morning. The roof top bar is really nice and great to what the sunset.

Our bathroom had ants on the window sile and bathtub area. The rooms could use alittle updating or atleast touching up. My husband saw a huge rat on the terrace area by the lounge chairs so we didn't use it that area. We were afraid to get a rat in our room or get attacked by one if we ate outside. The train tracks were right outside our window so we figure that's why rats were around. Also, because the train was so close you can hear it until around midnight when it seems to stop running.

It was central to the main tourist area, it had great facilities in the beautiful sky bar, restaurant, hot tub deck and pool. It was beautifully air conditioned and the staff were great.

It was quite pricey for the half board and the choice of food was limited for evening meal. We also had a room above the dining room at the back and next to the railway station so noisy from quite early in the morning (no lie ins!). But few of the rooms are like that I imagine.

Modest facilities as for 3* hotel, the breakfast lacked variety and the room wasn't too clean. I asked the lady from the cleaning to change the towels and she didn't.

Great location. Friendly staff and room very clean. Curtains in room 420 were dirty and stained. Roof top bar was great and service was excellent. Breakfast was good. Supermarket very close by. Hotel very close to square and shopping. Train behind hotel is a stones throw away. Trains run every 15-29 minutes. Did not affect sleeping as they did not blow the horn. Stay here, you will not be disappointed.

Stayed here for a week from the 10th June with my husband, our second visit to beautiful Sorrento. Last time we stayed in a hotel up the hill which was about a 25 minute walk to the start of the Corso Italia main street near the hospital, it was a lovely hotel but the walk from town was a bit much coming home, tiring, uphill & partly with no pavement on the busy road. Our main criteria this time was a central hotel much nearer to all Sorrento's attractions & the Michaelangelo certainly fitted the bill, only a 5 min walk to the railway station & less than 10 minutes walk to Piazza Tasso & the start of the Corso Italia & the narrow shopping street with lots of shops, restaurants & bars. It was an ideal location for reaching all Sorrento's attractions, a good, flat walk. We found the hotel to be very clean, the whole place was spotless, our room was cleaned to a high standard every day. The room was quite small but the bathroom was a good size & the shower worked fine. The decor was very dated everywhere, especially in our room. We knew when we booked that we were in the annexe as these were the only rooms left, that the room was on the 1st floor & there was no lift to it, only stairs & we wouldn't have a balcony. It looked out onto a courtyard/ car park & was overlooked by lots of rooms balconies, we ended up leaving the curtains drawn all day as it was so overlooked. We found our room was reasonably quiet, you are in a town centre so can expect some noise, the train noise was minimal for us but other rooms might have been more affected. It was fine for us to go up & down the stairs to our room then across the courtyard to the main building to the lift for breakfast & the pool areas but I wouldn't recommend anyone with mobility issues staying in the annexe due to the stairs, choose the main block. We enjoyed sunbathing a few days on the 6th floor roof terrace with the large hydrotherapy pool, refreshing on a hot day & surrounded by lovely hillside views ( as well as a view into the railway station ! ) There was also the 5th floor sunbathing area with jacuzzi & bar, we only had a drink here once & didn't sample the food here as there are so many restaurants in Sorrento. There were singers & musicians advertised in the lifts playing up here several nights but we didn't go to them.We didn't use the larger pool on the 1st floor either. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice of foods including English cooked breakfast foods, the bacon & fried eggs were excellent, the toast machine was particularly efficient for a hotel ( you only had to put the bread in once for a change ! 😂) However I was disappointed that the fresh fruits were nearly always the same every day, orange slices & kiwi fruit, I asked the restaurant manager if we could have watermelon again like on the 1st day of our visit, it duly appeared the next day then disappeared again ! There was tinned fruit in syrup every day but I prefer fresh fruit. A minor quibble, there was plenty of choice of food to set you up for a day sightseeing etc. Overall we really enjoyed our holiday in Sorrento again & the hotel Michaelangelo was an excellent choice for a central location to easily walk everywhere, yes it's dated but it's clean & comfortable with pleasant staff, we would return in future.

The overall hotel was great. The breakfast was good. The spa did not heat up which was a bit disappointing, but everything else was great.

The spa/hot tub did not heat up which would have been nice for the sore back and legs we had from all of the walking that we did.

Quartos modernos, mas pequenos. Não havia cápsulas de café disponíveis. Frigobar com boas opções de itens para consumo e valor razoável. Café da manhã completo (até espumante), mas não tão saboroso. Hotel é bem grande, entao o tratamento é mais impessoal. Nao utilizei e sequer fui ao local da piscina, hidromassagem. Na noite em que chegamos, havia música ao vivo no terraço. Fica a duas quadras da estação de trem. Um pouco mais distante do porto, mas se vc estiver com mala de bordo, é possivel ir andando. Basta pegar o elevador q liga o porto ao centro da cidade e caminhar por uma área plana (menos de 10 min)

Pelo preço e padrão do hotel, achei que podem melhorar. O banheiro tinha apenas touca e shampoo no box. Havia 1 único sabonete (pequeno) na bancada. Hotéis bem mais simples que fiquei na Italia contavam.com bons amenities, mini kits de costura, lixa de unha, pantufas.

It was a great location to walk inti town as well as ferry. The balcony view however as not . We had a nice room otherwise and staff was polite.

If you are unlucky and get a room facing the back then you will be literally 50 yards from three train lines. It reminds me of the movie, My cousin Vinny. In addition the rooms facing the back have dark depressing old brown halls. The rooms in the front are fine and the hallways have been painted white. Unless you can get a room facing the front do not stay here.

My teenage daughter & I just spent a long weekend in Sorrento, a place we have never been to before. We booked a Hotel Michaelagelo as it was a short walk from the main square, looked typically Italian in decor & has very good reviews. Upon arrival we received a warm welcome & help and help with our cases to our room. The room was very spacious, extremely clean, with a unexpected large patio area. I was slightly concerned that the hotel & our side of the hotel was next to the train station but we could see if from Our patio & barely heard a train so it was completely fine. We had bed & breakfast & I can’t say enough how immaculate the restaurant was, the food & drinks choice was huge & the staff were so friendly & attentive. We spent three nights at the hotel, enjoyed drinks in the outdoor sky bar, we used both the jacuzzi & top floor warm little pool. There was stunning views & being a ten minute walk from our ge main square was great too. I would love to return to Hotel Michelangelo as it was better than we hoped for in every way.

This hotel was recommended by a tour company and all other experiences from Transportation to lodging to excursions has been five out of five. Our room had towels with holes in them, was not terribly clean, and the service was hit and miss. Though it was a superior room with a balcony it feels very small. The location is excellent however. Our request to fix broken windows and extra bedding for a very uncomfortable bed were met graciously and we appreciated the response. The breakfast buffet was nice. Just so so overall.

Loved this hotel! Right in the center of Sorrento, close to shops, restaurants etc. lots of hills but the main drag is flat. The pools are not heated but the jacuzzi was and it was warm at 96. My favourite pool was on the roof top. I had it all to myself at one point! Lots of tanning beds and great views! Monika and Hugo on the 5th floor bar were so friendly and nice! Live entertainment one night was great ambiance. Giuseppe at the restaurant was on point with service and so friendly too! Actually, the restaurant team was very good and the food was top notch!!! So delicious! 🤤 Our only negative experience was the front desk not being very accommodating in regard to our room… We booked with Air Canada Vacations two separate beds with balcony and paid for the upgrade for the better accommodation. I then emailed the hotel prior to our trip to get a balcony and close to an elevator for my mom. We got a tiny room with one bed no balcony but a decent walk to the elevator. We had a view of a driveway. Yes the room was clean and updated but when I asked to get what we paid for they said no. We would have to wait another day and pay 30 or 40 💶 a day to get what we paid for already with ACV! When you pay a lot of money already this was disappointing. I wish the front desk would have liaisoned with ACV to meet our needs instead of turning it around on us. The rest of the front desk staff were very helpful answering any questions we had and booking taxis for us and dinner reservations in town :) We made the best of it anyways! We were only in the room to sleep and get ready really anyways! A must go for dinner is to O’parruchianno La favorite in Sorrento short walk from the hotel. Dinning under the lemon groves and they invented the cannelloni! DELICIOUS 😋 quick taxi to the marina to take the ferry to Capri and Naples. I’m sad to be back here!! I could imagine a life there. Great location , super helpful staff - at desk and especially in breakfast restaurant and sky bar . Very near train station for travel to pompei . And super easy to walk to main square and shopping/ restaurant street. Will definitely return.

Small issue only - no complimentary water in room or complimentary toiletries in bathroom As I would expect from a hotel of this calibre in a deluxe suite.

The location was excellent, the hotel has two elevators ,breakfast buffet was great, hotel was quiet and the staff was also amazing, the was this girl on the front desk that we interacted with her a few times and she was always helpful, with great attitude and willing to provide advise or to guide you thru . There is a very nice bar terrace on the fifth floor where you can actually see the ocean from there during the day.

The only thing that I didn’t like was that my room that was located on the six floor was facing the rail tracks of the local train , since the train station is almost about a block from the back of the hotel, but I was never disturbed on my sleep because the local train doesn’t run after midnight , and also the room had a very good sound proofing doors on the balcony,

A really lovely hotel. Spotlessly clean, well placed and very pleasant and professional staff. Ideally situated in Sorrento. Nice,bright and modern bedrooms. Large bathrooms and huge shower. Varied breakfast menu with immaculately presented staff.

Location was fairly central.

It desperately needs a refurb. It is dated and run down, lift carpets are dirty and smelt. There are many unused parts with untapped potential which could so easily bring some life to the hotel.

Fantastic position … 5 minutes walk from train station and supermarket, 15min walk to main square (lots of cafes and shops en-route to the square) Many restaurants and bars in the square and further 5mins to Old Town and steps down to the Ferry Port. Walking distance to Marina Grande where fishing village and lots of restaurants, Hotel had everything you need .. very helpful staff at reception, rooftop bar open from 12noon each day with hot tub (swimming pool and sun deck on 1st floor and another hot tub on 6th) We had room with a balcony which was lovely for sitting out after a long day travelling. Special mention to Francesco in the dining room who always greeted us for breakfast and gave us such useful information from his wide experience of the area and great places to visit. I reviewed many hotels before booking this one and would definitely recommend for both location, next to all amenities, care from staff and nothing was too much trouble

I had a WONDERFUL stay here - 4 nights (departed on day 5). It was my first trip to Italy and the first leg of our 2 week trip (went with my 3 siblings in memory of our mother who passed). Their rooms are comfy and updated. Huge bathrooms/showers. Location was great! Their staff was aMAZing!! Their breakfasts had variety and something for everyone - their wait staff went above and beyond (HUGE shoutout to Francesco and Giuseppe). EVERYONE was so very kind, warm and welcoming - and quite funny when you get to talking to them. Extremely memorable! The 3-course dinners were pretty amazing as well. Something different every night and a lot of items I wouldn't order and was pleasantly surprised!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Sorrento! The place is absolutely charming, with a beautiful atmosphere and everything was clean and comfortable. The staff was amazing — so friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our entire stay. The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor, and the location was absolutely perfect — close to everything and ideal for exploring Sorrento. Since we were celebrating our honeymoon, the hotel surprised us with a complimentary upgrade to a much better room with a beautiful balcony, along with a bottle of champagne waiting for us. It was such a thoughtful and special gesture that made our stay even more memorable. We truly enjoyed every moment and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

La pulizia della camera il primo giorno è stata buona. Purtroppo nei due giorni successivi la stanza è stata sistemata in modo molto superficiale. Si sono limitati a rifare il letto e a lasciare gli asciugamani sopra il lavandino, che peraltro non era stato nemmeno pulito. Inoltre non è stato fatto il refill del bagnoschiuma.

This hotel is a bit pricey but well worth it. The room and staff are top notch. The location was ideal for getting around for tours and meals.

Hotel was very pretty and in a great location to be able to walk to restaurants and shopping. There were several lovely outdoor spaces. The included breakfast had a lot of options. The hotel was very clean and beds comfortable. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious. Even with elevators, we still had several steps to haul our suitcases up, which was a little difficult. Also, rooms were pretty warm and there were no screens on the windows or patio doors. Some patios were shared, so if you kept your door cracked for air, you had no precaution to keep a stranger from entering your room. Staff was a mixed bag but overall less welcoming or helpful than in our other hotels on the trip. The pros outweighed the cons so I would recommend this hotel and I would stay again.

We loved this hotel so much from our visit last year that we went back this year but this time for 2 weeks. The Reception staff are great and make you feel welcome. The location is perfect and Sorrento is so beautiful with lots to visit (we went by ferry to Positano, Amalfi and Capri and by train to Naples). There are also lots of artisan shops and coffee shops. The hotel is wonderful - we loved sitting on the 5th floor before dinner with a drink and Ugo, the bar manager is very welcoming and attentative too. Last, but by no means least, the food is delicious with lots of choices (we stayed HB and every dinner was perfect and the buffet breakfast provided lots of choice). What made our stay special and memorable was the wonderful restaurant team who are so lovely and treated us so well, especially Francesco who went above and beyond to make our stay one to remember.

Some of the receptionists were very difficult and unkind with accommodating small children, however others were very kind and thoughtful to a family situation. It was inconsistent but I really appreciate and commend the staff that cared for our family and wanted to help! Those individuals who were kind and helpful are the ones we like to remember

An amazing hotel in a great location in the centre of Sorrento ! So recommended ! 🤩 We are staying at this fantastic hotel on our last night - located perfectly for the main Sorrento centre, so convenient for the port, railway, shops, resturants and bars. The rooms are so comfortouble and furnished to a high quality and extremely clean - bed is so comfortouble, and the balacony a nice way to relax in the evening. The reception, bar, and resturant staff are friendly polite and extremely helpful and efficient. We received a very warm welcome on arrival. The rooftop terrace with whirlpool was a good way to relax in between busy days exploring places such as Pompeii, Vesuvius, Postiano, Capri and Herculaneum. The ferry port is 15-20 mins walk away with the railway station just around the corner 5 mins away. Our first morning it was my wifes birthday and she received a surprise birthday cheesecake complete with candles and staff singing "Happy Birthday" - such a thoughtful and special touch. This hotel is very highly recommended - Perfetto, meraviglioso - grazie Hotel Michelangelo!!!! 😀

Sorrento was a breath of fresh air and the Hotel Michelangelo a lovely place to stay. From our check-in with a women who spoke beautiful English, to our very comfortable large room, and the extensive breakfast included in our reservation, we were so happy with the hotel. An easy walk from the train station and close to piazzas with tons of restaurants and lovely walks.

The breakfast was excellent. It was my daughter's favorite part of the vacation. The location and beautiful view stole the show. We enjoyed the hotel very much. It was clean, stylish and we loved having a balcony. All of the staff we interacted with were helpful and kind.

If I had to complain about anything, it would be the hardness of the mattress. It was okay for 3 nights, but any longer and my hips would have been screaming at me.
