Stayed at days inn Leicester, working fitting the floors, very clean rooms amazing set off staff would like to thank Sherri, nick, shrley & lou,lou for you outstanding work and the rest of the team keep it up!couldn’t ask for a better set off people, will be visiting again for sure
Lorraine was spot on, nice n friendly gave off good vibes. An asset to the establishment
A wonderful stay at days inn. Lovely staff especially Lorraine on the front desk.
This place should be placed in the top 500 bars, within motorways services, in the Midlands. I guess it's alright in here. Lorraine makes it bearable, Nikky makes it better. Always cheerful
Stayed here Saturday night after visiting family. The room was very clean and comfy and staff were really friendly and welcoming. It was the breakfast (included in the price) in the service station that was such a disappointment: I opted for the vegetarian breakfast consisting of 2 veg sausages, 2 hash browns, baked beans, mushrooms and a fried egg. I saw some tinned tomatoes but they were "extras" at about £1.49 EACH!!!!! Really?????? I asked if I could have a drink of orange juice but that was over £3 extra. And to add insult to injury, even my cup of tea couldn't be delivered with fresh milk - it had to be the pre-packed stuff that tastes awful in tea. I was directed towards the Starbucks opposite where they had a flask of fresh milk available for people buying tea or coffee. After sitting down at a table to eat, my sister remarked "there isn't even any toast". Such a shame the breakfast quality lets the whole hotel down. We would stay again, but only if we couldn't find a Travel Lodge or a Premier Inn.
I could not ask for any better service than what my wife and I had. I booked a saver room and made a mistake at booking and booked the wrong weekend, Via Booking.com I rang and spoke to Nikki at the hotel. When I spoke to Nikki she asked me to give her 1/2 an hour to ring her manager and seek advice as to what they could do, within 10 minutes I recieved a call back with the mistake I made rectified even though they did not have to. Common sense from Nikki and her Manager prevailed. On arrival of our stay Tarlek the receptionist had several residents to deal with in front of us. He dealt with each and everyone of us in a quick and efficient manner and had such a fantastic personality in what can be a wooden top woke society we live in. Tarlek was the same the next evening when we returned back to the hotel. The room was good value for money that we paid for but the staff mentioned and the Managers common sense approach was a breath of fresh air no jobsworth just good honest customer service from a good honest team. Would I stop here again....... no doubts whatsoever specially with the team that dealt with us.......Was I impressed........If I said I do not do reviews normally I felt with our experience the hotel, Manager Nikki, Tarlek and the team behind the scenes should be recognised and other customers she be privy to what my wife and i experienced. Value for money most definatley!!!
Clean comfortable room friendly and helpful staff.
I love staying here especially when Tarlek is at the recepcion. He makes my stay like i am home. He is defo the best. Nice place to stay, all the staffs are friendly, and helpful. (Free wifi, restaurants are close, free car parkinf if you book direct theough welcome break or days inn.)
Clean Comfortable Nice people Unfortunate night time fire alarm
Such a lovely warm welcome from Tarlek at reception. Very attentive and willing to go the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. Jane went above and beyond . All in all, a great pick
Wonderful stay in this convenient hotel. Stayed once before but they’ve had a refit so new beds, fresh paint, new carpet throughout and triple glazing in the rooms on the back, which I stayed in before that was a little noisy. Can’t fault it for a great price, cleanness and first class front desk service from Sherrie and Lorraine. Thank you!
Arrived and greeted by Nadine she was very pleasant polite and courteous, my wife is hard sighted so she helped her get comfortable in the room and in yhe lounge she was extremely friendly. My wife wants to stay here again as we both felt very warm
We always stay when we are on the road visiting family. It’s reasonable in price and located well fo stop off. Staff are super helpful and cheery and welcome you with a smile and nothing is too much trouble. Especially Tarliek and he even remembered us 😊
Jane and Lorraine and sherrie are very lovely and they make u very welcome and it is very clean all the staff is lovely but JANE AND LORRAINE AND SHERRIE are very lovely definitely recommend very good for ur money u can't go any where else to get cheap rooms
Front staff Jane & Nadine were very polite and helpful. Help me check in with no delay and just all around great service. The room was tidy and is one of the nicest days inn that I have stayed in.
Very clean, welcoming, comfortable beds, friendly and approachable staff especially Nadine and Jane would recommend
I didn't actually stay at the hotel but when my car broke down at the services Tarlek, the receptionist was so lovely. He checked if there was a room available if I needed one, he helped me sort out the parking for my car and was just generally kind and very polite. In the end I was able to make my way home but I I almost wished I was staying. Days Inn are very lucky to have an employee like Tarlek and I hope he is as valued by his employers as he was by me that evening. Thank you.
Excellent customer service from Lorraine. Very helpful. Helped me when I had flat tyres. Absolutely legend. Credit to the company
Very lovely staff and polite and friendly the most comfortable place I ever been in my whole life I would definitely recommend the rooms are clean and the cleaners are very lovely
Very helpful & polite check in staff member (Tarlek) very reasonable priced room, clean tidy, tea &coffee making facilities clean shower & toilet nice sized double bed, comfortable room Temperature
Exhausted, I arrived at Leicester Forest East northbound on the M1, and checked in at the reception desk, who could not have been more helpful. The room rate was under £50. Comfortable room with a good bed, adequate TV and wifi, and the shops and restaurants as you would expect next door in the services. The price included parking. Impressed.
Very good value for the price paid. Room was spacey clean with lots of desk/table space and comfy bed. Parking was £5 if not bookee direct with hotel
I have stayed here many times and the staff stand out. They are absolutely great. The rooms are spacious with comfy beds and although becoming a little bit dated, are value for money when considering the rates. Also, if you book directly, instead of going through a booking site, you get free parking saving £5 per day. When you book,it says the room has a smart TV, however, not all rooms have one and can be hit or miss. I believe this should be rectified
The rooms are clean and comfortable. You register your vehicle at reception for overnight parking. We always stay at Leicester forest when travelling down country. The staff are excellent nice service area.
Excellent service by tarlkk he was very helpful and made are stay super easy for us very satisfied and even told us to use the app where we save money on the parking very good member of staff lovely stay very clean bath and lovely bed
Every year I have a few weekends in Leicester and the Days Inn is just perfectly placed plus staff is friendly and helpful, and prices are reasonable. What more can you want!
Needed a room for an overnight very last minute. Usually use Premier Inn but the cost was prohibitive saw this room for less than half. Very happy. Just the job when you need a no frills room just to sleep over night. Staff very helpful and friendly. Well Done Days Inn
What a little Gem of a place. We stopped Saturday night, £96.00 cheaper than nearest Travelodge. Check in was smooth and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. The people on reception ( Sherrie and Tarlek) were friendly, professional and very helpful. The room was spotlessly clean with lovely towels and a great hospitality tray. Thank you for a lovely stay! We will be back x
Lovely receptionist Tarlek was very friendly and accommodating. Good location however the rooms are slightly dated .
Breakfast was taken at 'The Good Breakfast'. A complete waste of money. There was NO choice- full English with tea or coffee or literally nothing. The food was dried out & lukewarm. No bread, toast or fried bread unless paid for separately. Guests queue at the shop counter along with passing buyers. The seating area was grubby with dirty dishes strewn around. Disgusting. The twin room, pre-booked was accessible so spacious & clean although the bath panel was shabby. Beds were comfortable enough. Tea & coffee making facilities were fine but little or no useful information in the room. Also it was on the ground floor presumably for ease of access but overlooked the car park so visitors were smoking at tables directly outside & it was too noisy at times to open the window, hence the room became stuffy. A fan was supplied to blow the air around. Some staff were polite & friendly, but not all. The Welcome Break toilets are temporarily sited in the car park making vehicular access in & out awkward.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were very clean, fresh, and nicely decorated. Everything smelled great and was well-maintained. The staff were all very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The location is perfect – close to everything you need, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and public transport. Overall, everything was excellent, and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!
Stayed at the weekend for night out with friends. Rooms were clean and tidy, staff were friendly and helpful. For the price paid could not fault it.
Great stay and good value for money. The hotel was clean and tidy but somewhat dated, all the staff are polite and friendly.
Didnt eat
Appalling experience at Days Inn Leicester. A staff member named Gaz should not be in a customer-facing role. He was openly rude, dismissive, and bad-mannered throughout our interaction. He even told me and my disabled mother that we were “a problem” — a shocking and discriminatory remark that left us humiliated. Despite knowing my mother relies on a wheelchair, Gaz allocated us the last available room on the second floor, making access almost impossible. To make matters worse, the next guest after us was given a ground-floor room, even though we had specifically requested an accessible room. His attitude was unprofessional, uncaring, and completely unacceptable for someone working in hospitality. This experience caused unnecessary stress and upset during what should have been a simple overnight stay. Gaz’s behaviour reflects terribly on Days Inn, and I sincerely hope the management reviews his conduct — he should not be allowed to treat other guests this way.
I booked with a request for an accessible room as I am disabled, but on arrival was told none were available. My son even offered to pay extra, yet we were placed on last room on 2nd floor and not even Twin was given and he had to drag me in a wheelchair, which was unsafe and humiliating. Shockingly, a ground floor room was given to another guest who checked in after us. To make matters worse, a staff member (Gas) even called us “trouble” for simply requesting a more suitable room. The lack of care, accessibility, and respect for disabled guests was unacceptable. I this is is more reflective of the staff who need more training which gives the hotel a bad name.
Room clean & amenities are standard. Comfortable bed, however noisy room adjacent to the HGV park! Staff very friendly.
Tarlek on front desk was very welcoming and helpful. Went beyond expectations to help after I had experienced a car breakdown and needed to stay at the last minute. Found me a good room and ensured I had everything I needed. Would recommend to others
Good stay
The room was perfect but the noise from the air con was disruptive through the night.
This was a nice place to stay and all the eating places are a short walk away , you do not even have to go outside to reach , Starbucks , Waitrose , Burger King and more . Very convenient
Room poor, had cobwebs on inside of windows, shower taps very stiff to use, had to pay for parking which is stupid for a motorway service station.
Its very noisy being on the motorway
The service and cleanliness of this hotel has not changed in all the years I've been visiting 20+..although there have been staff changes the team all work together to provide a most enjoyable stay and the present team strive to maintain a first class service. The friendly welcome is always there and makes for a first class stay from beginning to end. We'll done all.
Staff was not good bcoz when I was resting one of your staff keep coming and knocking my door for just car park pay when I check out of course I’m gona pay for car park i was not gona run away . Bad experience I won’t book again and tell friend as well not to book in day innn thank you 👎
Excellent throughout my stay .Staff very knowledgeable when asking any questions and nothing was ever too much from the reception to the housekeepers. The cleanliness of my room was excellent.
Very nice staff and polite and friendly and very helpful and the cleaners are lovely as well amd the rooms are clean very good service
Fantastic stay. Jane on reception is lovely.. so helpful and friendly. Lovely clean room and easy to get to off junction 21. Highly recommend.
Surprisingly great overnight stay. Not sure what to expect staying on M1 services. All good however. Checkin very easy. Room was very clean and fresh, bed very comfortable. Great to have a mini fridge. Staff very friendly, courteous and polite. Also useful to have use of a microwave and toaster. All in all, ideal stopover enrouteup the M1.
Toilet door wouldnt close completely or lock. Bathroom fan didn't work. Window wouldnt open so the whole room was humid. Tiny for a family room. We were charged £5 extra for parking as didn't book directly but this was not made clear at time of booking.
Hello I wasn't going to complain but felt that you need to listen to what happened with our stay . We booked two rooms on the evening of the 21st of August which were opposite each other I was woken at 136am with one of my party as he was woken by one of your staff who said he was in the wrong room! I explained to the staff that he had the correct number on his card and if it was the wrong room how did the key fob work? He agreed and keft and said he would sort this out and he could stay in the room.. Really !! The room which he had booked . We never slept much this evening and it was very poor service and we won't be returning ever to this motel . Very alarming service !!! Melvyn Baker
Nice hotel
I stayed at this hotel over the weekend and have to say what a great time we had, all the staff we encountered were exceptional. Our room was very clean but it was also very hot.
We love this hotel, and stay whenever possible, it is great valve for money, and the staff are brilliant. I have to say the hotel is looking tired, it’s in need of an upgrade, but the stsff make it worth the stay.
We left a child's teddy behind and the hotel called us to let us know so we could come back for it.
It was a lovely welcome and the room was very nice all the staff were very well coming and it was nice i could bring my dog Bruno 🐕
Blood stains on the wall, Leicesters homeless live there, people praying outside the room window stopping me sleeping
Nice enough served it’s purpose! Shower fab unfortunately no shower gel / shampoo in despencer and room could do with an update / refresh
There is only air conditioning in the reception. The rooms are easily over 30 degrees on both nights we stayed. Also the tables outside the hotel. The people were shouting at the table while drinking alcohol. So basically most of the night was very noisy
Staff excellent. Room absolutely baking hot despite outside temperature not being too bad, especially at night. Extremely uncomfortable.
It was amazing!!!
It was overall good stay and had no problems. Good budget hotel.
Nikki at reception very helpful. Room was very spacious and clean . Nice soft towels , lovely powerful hot shower , tea and coffee facilities in the room . Room over the lorry park but once the window was closed the fan on to keep the room cool we slept exceptionally well . Don’t be put off by the negative reviews.
Staff friendly and helpful.
There is no hotel dining. Parked lorries outside had engine running all night. Comfortable bed. Clean bathroom.
The hotel was fine, but the receptionist didn’t mention the trucks with their engines running I struggled to sleep the lady at reception said I should have asked for a quiet room, how was I to know there are trucks parked next to the hotel. The room was ok no complaints,
The staff was great, very friendly. The heat in the building was unreal. Was like sleeping in a sauna.
Great location
Service was good, rooms were nice and clean, though there was the odd stain on the bedsheets. The room did get quite warm and the fan provided didn't help much but we were quite happy that one was provided
I Stay here often, never fails to impress me. Yes it’s getting tired and in need of a refurbished, but that’s aside the people who work here are amazing. Customer service ✔️ friendliness✔️ cleanliness ✔️ what more is there to say. I will keep Coming back.
Ideal halfway point when we travelled to Yorkshire and back twice over 3 days
Hotel was average. Nothing special and was only used to stay 1 night so wasnt expecting it to be 5 star.
The property needs air conditioning. The room temperature was unbearable and the 1 small fan didn't do anything to help. The staff were fantastic. Hotel could do with a referb. The area outside the hotel was dirty but that's not the hotel's fault as it's a service station.
Please improve on internet wifi connection. This was down
Use only if there is nothing else available. Recognition of Wyndham Rewards members was non-existent and the receptionist confused herself about the details of our room reservation. She was clearly overstretched and that is a problem for Days Inn management to address. This was a poor experience overall.
Lots of noise from trucks
Loraine is an absolute legend. Helped us out with a problem with no hassle whatsoever so ever! Such a comfy a cozy room would 100% stay again
Lorraine is amazing, what an experience. I never write reviews but for her … I’d write a poem. I’d highly recommend Leicester days inn if Lorraine is at the front desk.
What a place!! The staff are amazing especially Lorraine!! Lovely stay, great food and lots to do with the kids. Pet friendly is always an advantage.
Room was basic! No air conditioning unfortunately, although a fan was provided. For any person planning a stay, try and ask for a room away from the HGV parking. Fridge trailers running all night, prevented being able to leave the window open for air.
This place is awful … Disney speak to receptionist not helpful .. put us in a room with lorry carpark outside running engines all night and so loud .. was with a child to and they would have known a lot noise in that area of hotel .. smell of drugs along corridors and the room was so hot little fan was out in room and couldn’t open window wide enough to get air through .. won’t recommend if you want a quite nights sleep as you won’t get it .
Was a great stopover in a comfortable room
At 1am we were checked into a room that was already occupied. A shock for the person both in the room and the person entering to room at that time of night. We were told ‘human error can happen’ as we all know.
Stayed here for a one night break on our way home. For the for the first time we booked in on-line: never again. We were given the furthest room on the top floor from reception and couldn't be changed - nightmare. The weather was over powering and its a good job the hotel room had a electric fan and we still had to open the window. The Sun needed to be turned down or off. The room was clean and tidy and a tv that had a large selection of channels. We had a good night sleep, can hardly blame the hotel if you don't. Not sure about a parking space if the services get busy as it was on the day we arrived but we squeezed in on the last spot. A good hotel, in a good location (for a break) and with good staff what more do you want. Bon Journey
When checking in at 7pm on the Saturday night the man who greeted us at the desk was very polite and made us feel at ease. He explained everything in great detail and couldnt do enough to help, for example when we asked he gave us extra towels and tea ect. Would 100000% stay again
Gbv
Everything alright
Convenient location on M1 close to Leicester. Just what we needed for the night - a clean bed and bathroom.
.
Brilliant staff and reception, smell of cannabis in corridor , really felt i was mislead by expedia .I had to pay for parking which would have been free if i booked direct
It’s a hotel in a motorway service station, that’s about where we’re at with it….
Rooms clean and all staff are welcoming always with anything you need from new towels to tea and coffee and you fancy a chat they are always there to talk to from reception to the entire house clean ing team they become part of your life while you are there
I didn't spend much time in the hotel but it was ok. The room is neat, bed is comfortable and the toilet is clean with clean towels.
Very nice and clean.
Service was great on arrival. Few items needed updating which I mentioned on leaving such as window not closing properly and a single bed mattress that was rock hard. Generally fine. Needs aircon in the future Id suggest. Still, good staff and location.
All check in customer service very good. But they asked £5 for parking per day so we pay £10 for 2 days. It's unusual you won't mention in the app. Other wise ever thing OK. Thank you.
Though it was a room set for disability issues there were no support bars in the shower. The toilet was so close to the wash basin that those with mobility issues would struggle to use the toilet.
Warm, comfortable and absolutely spotless. The staff are very friendly. Brilliant value. A very peaceful night's sleep in a good location to be on the move again quickly. better than places three times the price. Highly highly recommended.
The stay was good and value for money. The only issue I had was after paying my parking to the reception for my stay. I got a parking fine sent to my house which I am now fighting to understand why.
I really enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and toilet superb. The location is fine with restaurant and other shops. I will recommend.
