Bereikbaarheid super! circleline/Queensway en je bent in twee minuten lopen bij het hotel. Behulpzaam personeel, mag misschien iets vriendelijker... Maar verder gewoon prima. Voor een 1-persoons De Luxe kamer was 'de luxe' wat mager, in de zin van een kleine kamer met een krakende vloer bij iedere stap. Toch was alles voorhanden, schone goede douche,toilet. Koffie/thee voorziening en TV. Bed was prima! Iedere dag schoonmaak.

Je ziet de sporen van de tijd duidelijk terug in bijvoorbeeld het gangtapijt op de trap. Lift die niet verder gaat dan de 7e etage. Waardoor twee trappen gelopen moeten worden om bij de 8e etage te komen. Kamer was wat gehorig

Great location, clean, club room is big enough for 3 persons, bathroom ok size. Toilettries and choice of coffee tea, water, wine, fruit and biscuits very good. Great breakfast, excellent staff. Always fresh aromatized water in the lobby and victorian feeling. They made us a breakfast box and did early check out with no problems.

Foul stench in the room from the waste water outlet in the shower. Window latch broken.

The location was across the street from Kensington Gardens, and just down the street from a Shell station (2 blocks) so you can easily stick up on snacks and drinks for the room.

It is a long walk (over an hour) from the city center (theaters, London Eye, etc ), and taxis or Ubers can sometimes take just as long due to the heavy traffic in the area, especially on the main street that you had to take as you exited the hotel. The ground floor is gorgeous, but worn, and the rooms are horribly outdated. There was an air conditioner of sorts in the otherwise stifling hot room. It had an exhaust tube to blow out the hot air, but there was no vent and the tube was directed to the open window. They didn't bother to buy clamps of any sort to hook the exhaust tube to the window, and one day, it had shifted position, and we returned to hot air blowing back into the room. They used the weight of closed curtains on the one small window to help keep the tube in place, which then eliminated the use of the window for lighting on that side of the room. There was dust all around the window and AC exhaust tube. The room was very small, with a desk crammed into the corner. There was about a foot of space between the bed and the wall where you needed to walk to get to the desk. While there was a mirror above the desk, there was no light, making it too dark to want to use. The small fridge in the desk cupboard could not open all the way because it hit the bed. The bathroom was tiny with a small sink and no counter space. There was a small panel of glass on the tub in lieu of a curtain or glass door that was supposed to prevent the water from the hand held shower head spilling onto the floor - an impossible task if you like to use both hands to wash your hair. The beds were lumpy and hard with rough sheets. And one of our pillows was actually a mattress cover wadded up into a pillow case to form a rock-hard bolster. The front desk did replace it, however, when I took it down to them directly in the morning after I got only 2 hours of sleep. There is a bar onsite, but every time we went in, there was no one working.

Had a 15 minute queue for breakfast on Saturday morning at 8.30. Although we appreciate the hotel was busy, hotel reception could have advised us of busy times especially when hotel is busy.

This is the second time staying at this hotel due to its excellent location .The staff friendly very helpful in helping to store our luggage prior to check-in. . We had Breakfast included with our stay which was absolutely fantastic , tasty and fresh every morning nothing was a bother to the staff . Nice touch having fresh fruit and water to hand daily at reception.

History of the place - yep small rooms but to be expected in a historical building . Breakfast was excellent & they made the effort to make me an oat milk coffee ! Great value for money ! Best expresso martini ever in the bar

Die Lage am Hydepark ist sehr Zentral, 2 U-Bahnstationen in der Nähe, Trotzdem ist es sehr ruhig. Das Frühstück ist der Wahnsinn.

Hotelli sijaitsee todella hyvällä paikalla. Kaikki tarvittava on lähellä: ravintoloita ja kauppoja on kävelyetäisyydellä, ja myös Hyde Park on aivan lähellä. Hotellilta on helppo kävellä myös Notting Hilliin sekä Paddingtonin asemalle, jossa voi nähdä kuuluisan Paddington-karhun patsaan. Hyde Parkin kautta pääsee mukavasti kävellen myös Big Benille. Sijainti on siis erinomainen, jos haluaa tutustua Lontooseen kävellen. Moniin suosittuihin nähtävyyksiin pääsee helposti ilman julkista liikennettä.

Hotelli ei ole enää uusi, ja meillä oli standardihuone. Huone oli erittäin siisti, mutta kylpyhuone kaipaisi kyllä remonttia. Lattialaatat olivat irronneet, eikä laattojen välissä ollut saumauksia. Aamiaiselle oli todella pitkät jonot, mutta jos menee heti aamiaisen alkaessa, pääsee sisään ilman jonottamista.

The hotel was in a good area for underground stations of Queensway for the central line and Bayswater for the circle line. It was almost across the road from Kensington Gardens where Kensington Palace is. The hotel was a very old building with history behind it.

The bedroom has a different description in the hotel. Booking called it Superior double, the hotel called it a deluxe. No way was that room worth the money I paid. I challenged them on it and got a change of room which resembled the Booking picture. It was still not big though. It was difficult to walk down the side of the bed at the window side. It wasn't a full double either. There was a oddly a lot of space at the other side of the bed and wall. The bathroom was shabby for a supposed 4*. No disabled toilet in the reception area, public toilets were down two flights of narrow stairs. Needed to use the toilet as our room wasn't ready.

Our room was overlooking the garbage collection point at the back which was very annoying and we had to close the shades for our 6 days stay. It was a very bad scene as well as having the workers who are collecting the garbage around most of the time.

The hotel needs refurbishment: strained carpets frayed at the edges, headboard well worn and needs replacement, walls needs to be repainted, old air conditioning seemed not to be operational. Definitely not a 4 star looking hotel.

Excellent location and the public areas are grand and inviting and made the stay feel special.

Room was quite noisy, with lots of squeaky floorboards, and you could hear the same around us with people moving around in other rooms especially obvious late at night.

Tutto!!! Siamo state trattate male sentite a disagio dal primo minuto a causa di un problema dí transazione con la carta di credito. Non risolto e con relativo doppio addebito. La colazione la mattina ci hanno fatto attendere in fila 20 minuti prima di farci sedere, con una fila a serpentina lungo le scale. La stanza. Nemmeno una stanza vera ma un ex stanza di ristoro. Poi adeguata ad alloggio. Il frigo in camera vuoto e non funzionante. Pessimo albergo e pessimo personale

First room did not had AC working and we had to move to another room on the second day. However, you had already slept one night with no AC which was uncomfortable. First room was extremely small, and to give an idea, in order to seat on the toilet, you had to seat on the side, because there was no room um the front for your legs.

We booked a club double room, rather than a double as on the booking.com website it said a double could be on the lower ground floor and the club rooms are on the ground floor. They also stated they are soundproofed. Our room was shockingly bad. It was on the lower ground floor, so not as stated at all. It was also not soundproofed and we could not only hear everything inside and out, but also people moving furniture in the room above as well as the underground. The carpet as you entered had clearly had as large section replaced, however it had not been done properly, was not secured and had a gap between that part and the rest, creating a trip hazard. The curtains were not properly secured so were very difficult to pull and didn't cover the entire window leaving gaps, the net curtains behind were also very long and laying on the carpet. The room was clearly a single room with a double bed put in as it had a single headboard and plug and lights behind the bed. The reading light above the bed would not switch off so had to direct it at the wall, however in the morning it switched off. There was also a spot light above the bed half in it's socket. The shower cubicle door did not close so all the water from the shower went all over the bathroom floor. The shower gel container was broken and full of black grime and the shower head wasn't working and kept falling down. The room was not properly stocked, there was no hand towel, just 2 bath towels, 2 pairs of slippers but just 1 dressing gown and part of the package was wine and fruit, however no wine glasses were provided. The mattress was comfortable but had no duvet, it was more like a thick sheet and was chilly in the night. The aircon unit couldn't be adjusted, it was just on or off and there was a huge gap underneath the door which not only allowed light into the room but is a fire risk. Complained on site but staff dismissive and uninterested and said they couldn't do anything. Very Very Poor.

The location is excellent, situated between two Tube stations and close to Kensington Gardens. Given how expensive London is these days, the price for my room was reasonable. I chose a Deluxe Single Room and while small, it had everything I needed.

My room was tiny - really tiny! Very cramped and uncomfortable. There was nowhere to sit, no room for my things, and not worthy to be a jail cell I asked at the front desk four times, politely, for a hair dryer. Never got one. I also reported that the light by the bed was not working. Nothing was done about it. Totally indifferent staff except for the breakfast workers. Definitely not worth the price.

L’hotel è molto bello sia dentro che fuori, ha uno stile veramente raffinato. La posizione è ottima si ha la metro a soli 2 min a piedi e la zona è molto tranquilla e ricca di negozi e ristoranti. Il ragazzo biondo alla reception è stato molto gentile e anche il ragazzo con i capelli neri che ci ha conservato i bagagli per il deposito. La colazione è buona ma nulla di speciale.

La stanza era pulita ma un po’ scomoda, pensavo fosse assolutamente più grande, trovo che possa essere comoda solo per un breve soggiorno, non ho apprezzato il fatto che per entrare ci fossero le scale.

Modernes Zimmer mit schönem Bad. Ich liebe die Gegend ( Pubs, Restaurants, Verkehrsanbindung) ... und das Frühstück ist einfach klasse

Bekam beim Einchecken ein Zimmer im Basement, mit dem Hinweis ich könne es wechseln, wenn es mir nicht zusagen würde. Das Zimmer war gut, die Aussicht nicht 😉 Habe nicht gewechselt, wer aber nicht immer erst spät ins Hotel zurück kommt, sollte bei der Buchung vielleicht direkt nach einem Zimmer in den oberen Stockwerken fragen.

Some rooms without AC Staff is rude

Hotel in stile vittoriano molto bello, in posizione strategica vicino a metro Queensway e Bayswater, a 10 minuti a piedi da Kensington Palace e Hyde park. Colazione buona: salata molto abbondante, dolce un po' scarsa. AC funzionante, ascensore veloce, camera piccola ma con spazi comodi. La zona è molto tranquilla e silenziosa, vicinissima a una via più animata con negozi e ristoranti.

Purtroppo a me è capitata la camera con vasca che è davvero molto alta, anche se c'è la maniglia, risulta scomoda. Inoltre non c'è il vetro. Manca lo scopino del wc, non ho capito il perché 😅. Frigo in camera non funzionante, con questo caldo non avere l'acqua fresca non era il massimo. Al 5 piano la finestra della camera non si può aprire nemmeno parzialmente.

Beautiful hotel in great location

Lovely helpful staff especially after I was robbed in the foyer. The entry security needs to be addressed immediately as the thieves walked in and were not questioned. The security should be in place as the Police have notified all in the region of thieves in the area. On our departure another lady checking in had her phone ripped from her hand in the reception area.

Grossartige Lage mit 2 U-Bahn Stationen in unmittelbarer Nähe und Bushaltestelle 100 Meter entfernt. Gutes Preis / Leistungsverhältnis in einem tollen historischen Gebäude. Wir hatten ein Zimmer zum Innenhof und haben sehr ruhig geschlafen. Das Frühstücksbüffet war überraschend umfangreich und das Personal war super aufmerksam und hat sofort wieder aufgefüllt.

Das Haus wird nicht geliebt und gepflegt, die Teppiche sind fleckig, Wandleuchten sind locker und viele Zimmer haben keine Klimaanlage. Unser Blick in den Innenhof ( Family Room) war traurig und die Scheiben dreckig. Die Frühstücksräume atmen Geschichte mit tollen Stuckarbeiten und großzügigen Fenstern , allerdings sieht man überall, dass dringend renoviert werden müsste.

Die Unterkunft befindet sich in einem schönen alten Haus. Ausserdem war das Personal freundlich und das Frühstücksbüffet sehr vielseitig und lecker.

Die Zimmer sind extrem klein und bräuchten eine Renovierung, besonders das Badezimmer. Trotz mehrmaliger Nachfrage haben wir kein zweites Duvet erhalten. Wir würden nächstes mal wieder ein anderes Hotel buchen.

El desayuno es el punto fuerte de la estancia. La ubicación también está muy bien por la comunicación con los metros y buses.

El escaso tamaño de las habitaciones, y en nuestro caso el poco frecuente servicio de habitaciones. Algunos días salimos a media mañana e indicábamos limpieza y cuando volvíamos no se había hecho, así un par de días. Además, en los 8 días de estancia no nos cambiaron las sábanas de la cama.

It was the darkest and stuffiest room I have ever stayed in. The room was located below ground level—a detail not mentioned in the Booking description. From the room, you could only see the ankles of passersby through a strip of window that could not be opened; consequently, the room could not be aired out. It was exactly like a cellar. On the first day, when I asked for a room that wasn't below ground level—one with natural light and fresh air—I was told I should look for another hotel. Reception only called to ask if I still wanted the room after I had contacted Booking.com. The point is, they only called me *after* I had messaged Booking.com. I felt deceived and humiliated.

Das erste Zimmer war winzig, man konnte weder den kleinen Schrank öffnen noch auf dem einzigen Stuhl sitzen und in das Bett könnte man nur von der Fußseite , außerdem gab es kein Fenster ins Freie. Auf Grund unserer Beschwerde bekamen wir ein Zimmer mit Fenster, das etwas größer war, aber dort funktionierte die Klimaanlage nicht. Man müsste den Ventilator behelfsmäßig auf die Fensterbank vor des nur einen Spalt zu öffnende Fenster stellen um frische Luft zu bekommen.

Room are so small that it is impossible to move arround with 2 people in them. The bed had an old uncomfortable matress. The room did not look like on photos.

Me gustó la ubicación y está cerca de 2 estaciones del Metro: Bayswater y Queensway (que tiene ascensor) por lo que se puede llegar en Metro desde el aeropuerto de Heathrow. El desayuno era muy bueno.

Las habitaciones no eran muy amplias para dos personas.

The air conditioning didn't work. And since the windows couldn't be opened, it was unpleasant.The staff provided no information about this at check-in; instead, there was simply a running fan in the room, though it did little to fix the issue. The problem was therefore known, yet it was not communicated to me. Poorly planned faucet—it hangs so far over the small sink that it gets in the way when washing your face. Breakfast was primarily English-style—otherwise, there was rather limited choice. It tasted good, though.

The staff dealt with the issues that arose during our stay. The hotel has many issues but at least the staff handled them best they could under circumstances beyond their control.. Thanks to Gabriel and Sylvia especially. Breakfast was good although staff was overwhelmed during rush periods.

There were sewer and air conditioning issues throughout the stay, but our final room was just great.
