Piscine magnifique, literie très confortable, belle vue en étage élevé. Personnel toujours très agréable et serviable.

Manque de fraîcheur du buffet petit déjeuner, qualité en baisse par rapport aux années précédentes. L'eau de la piscine du spa était un peu douteuse, opaque, avec une odeur de transpiration. Ma compagne a eu une irritation de la peau.

Room 928 - a junior suite - we had the BEST time. Such a lovely hotel, in a perfect location. The pool area is amazing and the beach is right in front of the hotel. Great location to walk to both Quarteira to the left of the hotel and the Marina to the right of the hotel. Our room was simply lovely which had an overhead fan which i prefer to AC - which is also provided. Balcony was lovely offering seafront views f the pool and the beach. Plenty of wardrobe space. A sexy glass bathroom!! The breakfast provision was abundant - so much to offer, but gets very busy after 10:00am - so plan ahead. We used the night time restaurant once, and despite the food being nice, there is so much to offer elsewhere at cheaper prices. We had some fabulous meals at the marina. Entertainment is not great - but we were elsewhere in the night times so didn't bother us. Thank you to Daniel on the desk for being so welcoming, and to Joao for giving us some great advice.

Everything was great. The staff, how close to beach it was, everything clean. The food from the restaurant was delicious.

Arrived early on 8 August. Room not ready which was expected and luggage stored and staff said they would call when room was ready.3:30 pm still no call go to reception and they say they had called but I showed them my call log no missed calls. Gave me room 305, go to the room which was fine till you open the curtains and see the view which is the roof of building at balcony height covered in seagull droppings. Pointed this out to staff member and asked him to inform reception. No contact so on my way out for the evening pointed out to staff they said they would send maintenace and call. Had a call which I missed so called back staff member said the lady dealing with it was checking someone in end she would call me. No call. On way back in evening spoke to staff member who confirmed maintenance had been but nothing could be done. She could not move me to another room unless I paid 100 euros per night extra, 4 days into the holiday nothing has been done meaning have no use of my balcony that I paid as where is the enjoyment sitting looking at bird droppings .

La salle de sport à disposition ouverte 24/24, a disposition de l’eau, des serviettes. La piscine, transats, serviette à disposition tout les jours. Accès plage facile. Ambiance hotel : calme, animation avec live music au niveau du bar. Le petit déjeuner était bon, buffet varié avec des choix différents ( espace sans gluten ) La plage à proximité c’est top.

The attitude of staff on restaurant with rules where you can sit to eat certain menus. Pool bar shut at 6 and room service attitude can’t serve you whiskey bars shut etc etc. Not 5 star service felt like management of hotel was thru Union Representatives. Also furniture in rooms were plastic not leather. Very dated it felt

Het hotel is 15 minuten lopen naar de haven. Kinderspeelruinte binnen viel tegen. Op de foto zag het er mooier uit. En er werd ons niets verteld over de kidsclub en activiteiten bij aankomst. Ik kwam hier later zelf achter.

The hotel is located just along from the harbour area of Vilamoura and very close to the beach. The hotel is outstanding in all areas. It is kept spotlessly clean and our room was perfect. Breakfast was included in our stay and you could not have wished for a greater choice.

This was a return visit to the Crowne Plaza, after a couples visit in 2025. Sometimes returning to a hotel proves disappointing but not in this case. The hotel continues to be well run. It's exceptionally clean throughout. The bedrooms are spacious and well serviced by the housekeeping staff. The menus are excellent and although we were on a bed and breakfast tariff, we frequently ate lunch on site and had dinner towards the end of our stay. The latter proved to be excellent. The general ambience was good but as a grumpy old man, there were too many children/teenagers for my liking. Although we booked the same week as in 2025, perhaps schools finished earlier this year. Drinks costs were similar to those around the marina itself. However, the poolside bar disappointed once again. Service at your sun bed was non-existent across the week. If you wanted a drink, you simply had to go to the bar itself. Perhaps after the imminent rebrand, this may change going forward. The only other gripe was that I made the mistake of booking our rooms on the Quarteira side this year. If you're in a room from X01 to X07 (where X is the floor number), you have a great view of the breakfast restaurant roof complete with large quantities of what comes out the back end of seagulls, of which there are many! You also have a great view of various building sites, complete with eight cranes. Overall, a thoroughly good break. We may return.

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza two years ago and had a really enjoyable holiday, so we booked again expecting the same experience. Unfortunately, it just isn’t the hotel we remembered. The biggest issue happened on our very first day. We nipped to lunch for around 25 minutes, came back and all of our belongings had been removed from our sunbeds – towels, sunglasses, everything. The signs clearly state that belongings will only be removed after 45 minutes, so we were well within that time. When we questioned the staff, nobody seemed to know where our things were and it took around 30 minutes before my wife eventually found everything hidden under a towel in the towel hut. That really isn’t the welcome you expect at a five-star hotel. I don’t normally leave reviews unless somewhere is either outstanding or really disappoints me, but there were quite a few things that fell short this time. The hotel seems to charge for absolutely everything. A game of pool is €9.50 for one hour, which I’ve genuinely never come across before in any hotel. Bottled water is €4.50 each, yet in the Victoria Hotel in the Algarve they had free filtered water stations available for guests all around the hotel. In this heat, providing drinking water feels like the bare minimum for a five-star resort. Instead, it feels like every little thing is designed to make you spend more money. The only positive is that the staff were always happy to provide plenty of ice free of charge. Lunch by the pool was also expensive. We paid €55 for two adults and one child sharing just two meals. The portions were huge, so the value wasn’t terrible, but overall food and drinks soon add up. Over a 10-night stay you could easily spend another €1,000 or more on top of the holiday price. The rooms are looking quite tired now. I understand there’s a refurbishment planned for November and hopefully that includes the rooms because they definitely need bringing up to modern standards. The kids’ club was another disappointment. It’s more a couple of staff doing activities around the children’s pool than an actual kids’ club. What really concerned me was hearing one of the staff speaking quite abruptly to my daughter when they thought I wasn’t nearby. I was sitting just around the corner and as soon as I made myself known, their attitude changed completely. That wasn’t acceptable. For us, the biggest problem is the value for money. We paid around £4,000 for 10 nights, bed and breakfast, for two adults and one child in August. By the time you’ve added food, drinks and all the extras, it’s an incredibly expensive holiday. On top of that, there’s very little atmosphere, hardly any entertainment, and you even have to pay to use the indoor pool. If this holiday had cost £2,000-£2,500, I’d probably overlook a lot of these issues and even consider returning. At £4,000, I simply can’t justify it. There are much better options in the Algarve offering far more for your money. It’s disappointing because we genuinely enjoyed staying here before, but sadly this visit will almost certainly be our last unless some big changes are made.

We stayed at the Crown Plaza for a week in June '26 with our 3YO. The hotel is great, every member of staff without exception was friendly, polite and helpful. We would particularly like to thank Susana and the team in the restaurant for frankly being brilliant and looking after our little girl (OJs & ice-cream) in what's probably a more adult than family environment. The food in the restaurant is excellent. If we had one niggle, the kids pool / pirate ship could do with a refresh, but overall a great holiday. If you've read a negative review, it probably says more of the traveller than the hotel. Wouldn't hesitate in staying again or recommending. Thank you!

You had to pay for the pool table and the table tennis table thought a bit weird should all of been included.

The location is perfect for access to the Marina. The breakfast is one of the best i’ve experienced in a hotel. Everything is catered for.

Great location for both the beach and the marina. Hotel communal areas and our room were both very clean. We had a slight issue on our first day with sunbeds not being available due to people reserving for hours on end and not using them, and we didn’t think there were enough sunbeds for the size of the hotel and number of guests. We also had an issue on our last night where our air con stopped working during the night. However when both issues were reported to reception it was dealt with professionally and efficiently. We would be happy to stay here again.

Stunning hotel & location. The hotel was spotless the service is impeccable the staff were trained to a very high standard we couldn't find any faults with our stay. Would definitely return hands down. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The food in the seafront restaurant was super fresh and exciting. BUT ...if you are an avid Mojito lover as we were they won 🏆 😉

Gorgeous hotel. Spacious. Modern. Clean. Room was fab. No request was too much. The staff were absolutely fantastic- from staff at reception, to those greeting at the doors, carrying your luggage, the bar/restaurant staff - everyone was so friendly, helpful and welcoming. The hotel is about 5-10 min walk from the marina and that’s with a pram. There’s a supermarket and two pubs about 2 mins from the hotel. The hotel has private access directly onto the beach. Nice kiddie pool and kiddie play area.

Very good hotel. Clean, good facilities and good bars/restaurants. Can’t fault it. Standard towel wars in the morning but the hotel do sometimes combat it.

First time to Vilamoura and it didn’t disappoint. Loved it and exactly what I needed. Stay was with friends who were at a nearby hotel so booked solo at the Crowne. The hotel was brilliant attentive and friendly staff. Immaculate hotel throughout and excellent facilities including the gym. I had a massage and used the spa and very high end experience I’d highly recommend if a solo stay or couples very relaxing. Thank you Paula for the massage. Couldn’t fault this hotel and just to say the room, shower and bed and storage was the best I’ve seen in along time. Outside pool and seating area fantastic and again immaculate clean. The hotel is also very children and family friendly and as as a father I would bring my children here in the future as the area is well suited for all types. Exceptional would love to come back. Great for location 10-12 min walk to heart of the marina plenty little pubs cafes shops nearby. Oh and the hotel Breakfast very very good with so extensive choice. Tip - come before 9am peak. The best week at this hotel with my partner and 5 month old son. I don’t normally leave reviews however I felt our stay was so amazing it warranted one. Staff so kind, gentlemen in the lobby area very friendly. Dinner staff Ajay and colleagues amazing staff. Pool staff brilliant cannot fault them. Cleaning carried out to high standard everyday. We went half board breakfast brilliant and dinners were incredible for the money you have full choice of the à la carte menu every night and everything is divine! No rush for sunbeds. Family pool lovely. Spa I had a massage here was lovely. The gym is brilliant and fully kitted out to a high standard. The marina is 5-10 minute walk from the hotel and is a great vibe in the evenings. We throughly enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to return. You won’t be disappointed with this hotel.

We stayed for three nights in June and came away feeling disappointed with our stay. There are definitely some positives, but overall this hotel no longer feels deserving of its five star rating. We’ll start with the positives first. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly and welcoming, especially upon checking in. Our room was very clean, and the bed was big. We don’t normally eat breakfast when we’re away, but we tried it here and we were impressed. The selection had everything you could think of including a fresh omelette station, a crepe maker and lots of hot and cold options. And for the negatives… The hotel itself feels very tired and in need of a refurbishment. It may well have been a five star hotel when it first opened, but it certainly doesn’t feel it now. Throughout our stay it felt like a three to four star hotel at best, with very little that felt luxurious or high end. The biggest issue, and the one that genuinely left a bad taste, was the charge of €2.50 per hot drink in the room. After paying a significant amount to stay for just three nights, we were disgusted to discover this. Charging guests for a €0.15-0.20c coffee in a supposed five star hotel is outrageous and we didn’t purchase any out of principle. I wouldn’t even expect this from a two star hotel. It completely missed the mark on what a guest would expect from a premium hotel. The pool area was quiet and peaceful, so if you’re looking for a chilled vibe you may enjoy it. For us, though, it lacked any atmosphere and felt flat so we avoided spending much time there. The complimentary pool towels had run out by around 10:30am one morning. Some of the sun loungers were broken, and one collapsed underneath me when I laid back. The air conditioning in the room was poor. It uses an old system that didn’t get the room cool enough, and the ceiling fan is positioned in one corner of the room rather than above the bed, making it ineffective whilst we slept. When we checked out, nobody asked how our stay had been. It felt like a missed opportunity to hear guest feedback, especially given some of the issues we experienced which we would have verbalised if we were given the opportunity. Overall, this isn’t a terrible hotel, but it certainly isn’t the luxury five star experience we were expecting. With some investment and attention to detail it could be excellent again, but in its current state it falls well short of its rating. The coffee pod charges alone summed up the experience for us: charging extra for something so small after guests have already spent so much money felt out of touch and something the management should re-consider. Unfortunately, we’d be unlikely to stay in a Crown Plaza in the future after our experience.

The rooms are tired, as is the Hotel really, but I have heard that the owners, IHG, are refurbishing and rebranding the building ahead of the 2027 season .

We are experienced world-wide travellers but keep coming back to Vilamoura (6 times in sll) and to the Crowne Plaza Vilamoura in particular (4 consecutive years now) because the resort snd the hotel are as good ss it gets. In this hotel, every rom hss a sea view and a private balcony. We prefer the Vilamoura side for the wonderful sunsets and a high floor to enhance the view. The beach location and proximity to the harbour are brilliant. Above all, the staff team is large and the service fantastic.

The location is nice and it is clean. Most of the staff were helpful and friendly. At the reception when we were checking out; the staff made a mistake with room service fees. They were charging us for something I didn’t order. With a lot of back and forth they checked and they were mistaken and then apologized. The staff who insisted that I made the order initially looked annoyed and didn’t even bother to apologize. Just check your invoice thoroughly when you check out.

The staff hotel member at the reception was extremely unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable when checking out. We booked the towels and signed the paper- keep in mind, I didn’t have anything against that. But when I came up to him to say that I’m checking out, without specifying which type of card, he simply went “I need the card”. I thought the guy meant the room key card, so I said that I left it in the room. He looked at me like I was an idiot and told me to go back to the room and bring it to him. Assuming that I am in a 5 star hotel I told him that FIRST of all I cannot enter a room without a card, and SECOND is that I am a client of a hotel that positions themselves as a FIVE STAR hotel , therefore I asked for him to ask the cleaner to go and get it for me , whilst I wait in the lobby. In the end I had to go there myself when he unwillingly gave me a room card and said in a very rude tone “here , the card”. Do I even have to explain anything else?

Because our flight could not land in Madiera and diverted to Faro, we stayed overnight at the Crowne Plaza Vilamoura. Our allocated room on the 10th floor was large, comfortable and had a good view from the balcony. The bathroom was large and very well equipped, and the room had plenty of storage space. We did enjoy the buffet dinner and buffet breakfast at the hotel, which provided a very good choice of hot and cold dishes all nicely presented. The dining room was well designed and provided a good dining experience.Considering that the hotel was catering for a large number of diverted Jet2 passengers at very short notice, all of the staff we encountered were really friendly and efficient. The location of the hotel appeared to be good, directly overlooking the beach. Whilst our stay there was very short, we were left with a good impression of the Crowne Plaza Vilamoura.

Excelente localização e bom pequeno almoço com produtos com boa qualidade. Parabéns ao Sr. Mário da recepção e senhores da entrada. Sempre muito profissionais e atentos a todos os pormenores.

É uma pena, quase todos os funcionários no restaurante e bares serem estrangeiros. É raro encontrar um português. Inclusive alguns falam muito mal português.

Everything is an add on Didn’t have dinner in the hotel. Food at the pool is terrible! Caesar salad without Caesar sauce and chicken like tubber, pizza soggy and tasted like it was microwaved even though it wasn’t. Shocking service. Umbrellas aren’t put up until afternoon despite multiple requests (these require a drill) Towel hut is usually unmanned so often have to go find someone to do this, €5.50 to use a shower after the gym, €15 to use the indoor pool/spa Sauna/steam room/indoor pool open at 9.30 but not ready for another 30-40 minutes. Children only allowed in indoor pool until 3pm. Music every night until late from nearby beach bars.

Great breakfast choice/area Location is great though I do think you should point out to guests the pathway to the beach/marina. The room was spacious, bright and had everything you would need, including a balcony.

The courtyard outside the breakfast area could have tables for choice and be a little more interesting - perhaps some casual seating, flowers and fauna? A novel piece of artwork/display, it seems a space that should be better utilised.

Great choice for breakfast, location was very good for the harbour and night life. Food and snacks were very good and charged at a reasonable rate.

Only slight criticism is when it’s wind, there are no areas of shade by the pool but this was understandable

Frühstück war immer hervorragend mit einer sehr grossen Auswahl und auch Abwechslung. Zimmer sind sehr angenehm mit Balkon - tip-top. Personal extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Beleuchtung sowohl in den Gängen des Hotels, sowie auch in den Zimmern sind sehr schlecht. Das Hotel hat eine Auszeichnung für "Green", aber bestimmt keine LED-Leuchten. Sehr schade, aber Gott sei Dank scheint die Sonne oft in Portugal.

Very welcoming friendly staff. Lovely swimming pool and close to the beach and marina. It had a very relaxing and ambient vibe. The bar staff were exceptionally friendly. Breakfast was plentiful and good quality.

I’m an IHG member and travel a lot but this is the first time in any hotel that the 1 coffee pod per person has no been replenished. When I asked for a pod I was told I could pay 2euro 50

I’ve just arrived at the Crowne Plaza and unfortunately discovered that my mum’s wheelchair had been damaged during the flight. Gabriel from the hotel immediately stepped in, arranged a loan wheelchair for us, and even called a maintenance person to repair my mum’s chair. This level of care genuinely saved our holiday. Thank you, Crowne Plaza — truly 5‑star service.

Beautiful clean hotel. Very quiet at the pool with comfortable space between loungers. Brilliant location between the marina & Quateira where we actually dined more. Very relaxed quality setting.
