Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Easy to find and very welcoming very dog friendly
Nice and clean
The breakfast wasn’t as nice as usual and was cold a few mornings
Comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast. Lovely helpful staff.
Bar closed at 22:30 with no late bar facility!
Nest snd tidy. Friendly staff.
Bar area was messy, dirty tables and generally felt grubby and not clean
Everything was perfect, amazing bed , comfortable and cosy, very nice and clean room, amazing bathroom, nice toiletries, good breakfast 😊
Everything was perfect
Good food, staff very helpful
The pool was closed for maintenance and no one told me
Was a very nice hotel quiet when we first arrived on a Monday.
Not so much the property just things that happened staff were nice but first night 3 drinks were not available or orange slices! Restaurant had no fish and chips or ham pie….just niggley things
Guy in checkin process is excellent and he made experience more valuable. Apologies, forgot to ask his name. Everything is good, really loved it and will visit again
The room ten out ten and staff and cleanliness the same the food was nice but not exceptional for the price same with the wine which came to the table opened so not such a good experience and service was shabby breakfast was decent
Expected a little more for 4stars but on the whole a good experience
The rooms were well sized for a family. The breakfast was good, although the extras could have been more widely offered. It seemed if you were in the know you got them, if you weren't you didn't. The pool was lovely.
The Pillows- far to soft! You put your head on them and end up with a mountain either side of your head! Slightly less soft one would have been lovely. Also a walk in shower would have been preferred.
Lovely location, clean & spacious room, nice spa, lovely breakfast
Great location. Spa facilities generally good - lively pool and hot tub. Helpful friendly staff. Food good.. Complimentary mini bar a bonus
At the spa - Sauna too hot and steam room v small and narrow.
Loved the place...every part of our stay was fantastic
Na
Loved the hotel nice clean and comfortable
Staff couldnt find our booking said they were fully booked told to call booking.com to sort it out not being helpful at all. So very disappinting as booked for a suprise for my partners birthday. Stood at reception for 1.5 hours before finally finding our booking
From checking in, rooms, breakfast, all 💯 Enough space for quiet moments. Highly recommend.
All good.
Spacious ,extremely clean use of pool
Nothing
Lovely hotel and staff
Pool was too busy with classes, but otherwise great.
Restaurant was well serviced and food good.
Booked and was asked if wanted upgrade. this was accepted and a meal booked for 7pm on arrival. BOTH of these were not available on arrival. Room upgrade did not occur and meal time was not available. Told that manager would be contacted, but no further communication from the hotel staff during our stay. Room was ok but bedside lamp not working, shower was so powerful that my wife struggled to use it. Was unable to 'cast' my tablet to the tv in the room as tv just went blank. Bar was devoid of real beers and did not have simple things like low calorie tonic. As there wasa to be a wedding and birthday party there while we were staying not to be fully stocked at the bar is inexcusable.
Everything was good.
Family room with two doubles was really nice. Cot was clean, the pool was clean
Large spacious beautiful clean room. Variety of breakfast items for £17pp. Lovely pool, sauna and steam rooms- somewhat busy but still able to enjoy the facilities.
Generous sized rooms, big bed, friendly staff and good breakfast
Nothing
Nice hotel with a swimming pool and sauna.
Limited time for kids in the swimming pool. There was a slot in the morning & evening when kids could go to the swimming pool and yet still there was only 1/3 of the swimming pool allocated to them/families during that time!?! What upset us was an employee off duty who was just standing in the 'adult' side of the pool and decided to move the line even more, reducing the 'kids section ' to 1/4 of the pool. There were 3 families with children cramped in that small bit and only 3 adults in the big 'adult' section (1 swimming and 2 standing for 15 minutes just chatting). We called our children to swim in the 'adult' bit as it was ridiculous and he had the audacity to tell us off. We exchanged our opinions and he apologised at the end.
The room was large, clean and very comfortable. The staff were super helpful and the pool was warm and enjoyable.
The food in the restaurant was a little disappointing, especially the kids meal which was large and they'd split onto 2 plates so our kids could share one but the pasta sauce just tasted a bit funny so the kids wouldn't eat it.
Spa treatments
Poor customer service, particularly from younger members of staff. Errors and mismanagement of my spa and lunch deal. No seated garden area to enjoy the sunshine. Built on a very busy road so noisy throughout the day and night.
Spa facilities, breakfast and very comfy beds
The staff were excellent and it was just a short distance from the M5
The spa is a little tired
Friendly staff, clean, lots of parking, food well cooked and presented, well designed interior
Breakfast was good but could be better as no cold meats and cheeses or scrambled eggs or black pudding on the hot section Spa , sauna and steam rooms are very small max 4/5 people at a time as gets busy also lockers in changing room in need of repair took 5 different lockers before found one that worked (locked) Going in to our room on arrival we found someone had been sleeping on the bed no soap only 1 towel and no complementry biscuits we had to be moved.
Food was lovely nice room
Pool area was quite small and crowded
The sink in our room was broken. We were immediately moved to a better room by way of compensation. The staff helped us move our luggage. They were very helpful indeed.
It was quite a long way out from Cheltenham.
Room was large and airy looking over the garden at the back. Breakfast was lovely, big selection and nothing too much trouble,
Tiles around the pool felt a bit slippy, Locker locks a bit fiddly to manage.
Room, bar, restaurant and spa facilities
Nothing but did need more pillows as only provided with one but staff happily helped out
Set in nice grounds. The breakfast room was spacious and had a good variety of food.
The room had been cleaned but they need to invest in new vacuum cleaners, or teach staff to check for blockages as found clumps of dust/ dirt all round room. Beds were very hard. Had to request extra pillows, as only one pillow per sleeping space provided.
Location, facilities
We were not able to use all the facilities. The hotel could have and should have made us aware that the swimming pool was scheduled to be closed for some maintenance work so that we could have adjusted our stay accordingly.
Lovely facilities
Our tv was broken and despite them saying they would sort it. It wasn’t done.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Facilities were great. Amazing bed even my newborn was able to sleep through the night longer than normal.
Just the eggs, this was only lightly cooked.
Lovely setting and interior decor, welcoming staff and very clean.
The breakfast was a little pricey, especially for children.
The room was a good size and was clean when we entered. There is loads of parking on site which was a good bonus. The breakfast service is excellent with loads of options available.
Firstly this hotel is dated and starting to show its age, when we first arrived we found out toilet was broken, this was quickly fixed but not a great first impression. Online it states this hotel and spa is four stars, that may have been the case in the early 2000's but I don't think it is the case now, the foyer is lovely but beyond that the age of the hotel begins to show. We were suprised that the pool is used to host local swimming lessons, we saw nothing of this online and it made an already quite small pool very limited. Again what was available was good but just feels dated. The dinner service was nothing short of terrible, the drinks order was forgotten and took over ten minutes, the food service was incredibly slow and when the food did come out it was lukewarm at best. I do not like to be harsh to service staff as I have been in the business myself, but I must be said, they did not appear to care, they were laughing and joking with one another and generally seemed like they didn't care. It was not cheap either, a very expensive bad meal with just as bad if not worse service.
Beautiful hotel fantastic staff look after us
The location was very convenient for us the food was excellent
Really great hotel and excellent facilities - and well within our budget too!
NA
The staff were friendly and helpful. The place was clean and modern. The bed was comfortable and the pillows plush! The room was a good size and clean. The breakfast was lovely and well stocked. We didn't have time to use the spa but it looked lovely.
The bar was overpriced at £22+ for one glass of wine and a double vodka+mixer. Put us off having an evening meal onsite.
swimming pool,
bed comfort. Evening food menu
The bed super comfy, room size good.
Bathroom, hairs in bath and on floor. TV kept turning off or picture of black.
Excellent staff and facilities
Very little. Location is quite good. A little pricey. Excellent in general
La propreté, la grandeur de la chambre, le petit déjeuner
Nice hotel comfy bed, very clean, had bath and seperate shower, good breakfast
Didnt get very much sleep, we were in room 139, we had intermittant noise the sounded like a washing machine on the spin cycle with an uneven load, bit like a hammer drill, every time we nearly fell asleep the noise came back and this was all night, we did make reception aware of it and the reception said they would look in to it, hopefully that issue can easily be resolved
Hotel was easy to find and was very clean. The spa was excellent and had everything we wanted. The breakfast was delicious. Air con was perfect.
Nothing springs to mind.
Nice breakfast and dining room Receptionist friendly Liked the spa area and easy to use, not too busy Good disabled parking and accessible room Room nice and spacey and good to have table and relaxing chair.
Not enough staff. Checking in on Sunday pm took 15 minutes and long queues were forming as only one receptionist on! They also did not have on their booking that two of our rooms were accessible, though able to accommodate this by moving rooms around but it meant one room was not ready for a short while. Evening dinner on Tuesday night took too long to serve two courses as again clearly short staffed in kitchen. My mother complained but the serving staff (Omar) were very professional and it wasn't their fault. Also there was one woman and her child who came to breakfast both mornings in their pyjamas. We mentioned to receptionist who said there was no dress code.
Bedrooms lovely and staff were excellent
The spa was quite small and a little tired so quite busy but nice
The room, the bathroom and communal areas were superbly clean and well presented - the cleaning staff are doing an amazing job. Decent-sized rooms and very comfortable beds. The staff at check-in and check out were excellent. Plenty of parking and there is a beautiful walk around the hotel for people and dogs. The breakfast in a Saturday morning was decent.
The kitchen seemed understaffed at dinner - cold soups and overcooked fish (fish and chips). We raised the soup issue with a staff member who apologised and they rectified but there was a shortage of floor staff too because it took a long time to flag down a staff member. There was only one person on the bar and it was busy. Staff were apologetic about the wait and were friendly. The pool facilities were not well-run; it is very unfair to have a 6pm curfew for children and with that, the children's area is cordoned off to a small section. This section was over-crowded. One parent disregarded the cordon and brought their child into the less busy area - they received some dirty looks from the rule-abiding parents who were suffering in the crowded kids' zone but I didn't blame this parent as they were making a reasonable point. At check-out, I overheard part of a conversation where one person was making a complaint because their assistance dog was not allowed in certain areas of the hotel despite the dog wearing a harness that identified them as an assistance dog. The staff member listened to the complaint and was very respectful and supportive. I mention this only because if someone reading this has an assistance dog, it might be an idea to phone in advance to advise the restaurant so staff immediately identify the dog as an assistance dog. I travelled with my dog and he slept in the bathroom when we went to dinner. I noticed several dogs in the bar area (dog friendly) that night and there was even a bespoke dog menu. This is great, and although I appreciate that assistance dogs are allowed by law in all areas, it might be difficult for staff to differentiate assistance dogs from non-assistant dogs.
I have given a rating of 5 stars because the staff were so friendly and helpful both on reception and in the restaurants. I only stayed one night to break up a journey from Lincolnshire to Cornwall and the hotel was in a fabulous location very easy to find not far from the motorway so was a great choice. I hadn't booked a meal so when I went down to dinner there were no tables in the restaurant. I was offered a table in the bar area which was perfect and could still order from either menu which was a bonus. The food was excellent. Breakfast had a great choice too. I enjoyed my stay and will book the hotel for future journeys.

Second time of disappointment with the Chase Hotel. The first time, about a year ago, I met my niece for a meal there... the food was disappointing, the staff were rude, unhelpful & basically seemed uninterested in their customers, more interested in having a good ol' gossip between themselves behind the bar... In July, this year, on my birthday I was supposed to go for a cream tea. The cream tea was a kind gift I had been unable to use thus far, as I no longer live locally. I had arranged the booking for July this year, with the understanding help from the Front of House Manager. However, on the day, unfortunately, I was stuck in 10 hours of traffic travelling home from Cornwall. I tried phoning the hotel on numerous occasions, during this journey. No reply to any of my calls... Quite frankly unbelievable for a so called 4 star hotel... I also emailed the Front of House Manager, as my phone calls were not being answered. I appreciate he may well have been on a day off. However, is there not another manager covering his days off? Furthermore, now 8 weeks on, no reply to my email to the Front of House Manager. No calls received from the Dining Room / catering staff who would have arranged the cream tea, asking if I was ok, where was I, was I coming?
Two families stayed with kids for 3 nights extremely poor service over all: 1) Poor Room Food service with no consideration taken for allergy requirements despite clearly mentioning the same after the food arrived. 2) Allergy list was sent 3 times a week before to the hotel but they had no idea of the same and wasn’t taken into consideration. Food service was extremely poor and did not meet the requirement as listed in their menu. After ordering the food arrived almost after an hour. They had limited electricity in the kitchen and they could not serve us with food from menu which we were willing to pay for. 3) Rooms were very dusty and the bathroom in particular were with stains and had hair in the plug so we could not bath the children in the bath tub. Room cleaning did not collect used towels which were placed under the sink and replaced with new towels. 4) Spa was very tired looking with stained ceilings with leak marks and the tiles has mould both in swimming pool and jacuzzi. The ladies changing room smelled of urine and the shower cubical had worm in the drain. Extremely poor considering that the Hotel is a 4*. 5) There were hardly any staff available for service in all of the hotel. Overall we had an extremely bad experience and will definitely won’t be returning here ever again. Please book at on your own risk.
Calm & quiet surroundings, welcoming staff
A bit far from the centre otherwise no issues
Room set up - 2 large double beds in a family room
Whole hotel was tired, dusty and unkept. The bathroom had hair in the bath and plug hole. Dirty footprints in the bathroom never cleaned despite daily cleaning. Couldn’t walk barefoot in the room the carpet was that dirty. Curtains were dusty and clearly not washed for a long time. Spa - shower had a worm in it, ceiling of pool area was discoloured from a leak. Food - over priced, always took ages, always cold. Once arrived it was awful, worse than a weatherspoons. Staff - service was poor, there was not enough staff anywhere. I sent 3 emails before arriving about allergies, all were ignored. Such a waste of money, I went with my family and will never go back. This review will make no difference because they clearly don’t care about cleanliness, service or quality
Everything
N/P
Had been really looking forward to staying and using the pool with my family. Checked in after 6pm, and was told the pool was not open to children, priority was ‘the members’, and I should have clocked this on their website - the conditions of which of course were in a corner of the website, and were not made apparent on booking. Told if it was really an issue I go stay elsewhere. The pool itself and the leisure centre was itself really small and nothing to speak of. Overall, the team managed the situation with zero tact. Should have stayed at the Holiday Inn in town, which was the original plan, where their staff told me their leisure centre was open to 10pm and of course children were welcome.
Had a lovely spa day With my friends for my birthday. The facial was amazing. The beauty consultant very nice. The afternoon tea amazing. But I was very disappointed With the jacuzzi it was very dirty the water was grey . Don't think it had been cleaned in a long while. Think it's about time ... Saying that I would still go again for the Spa treatment and the afternoon tea. Sorted out it would be perfect.
Close to the motorway. Lovely modern, well decorated hotel. Only slight niggle was the evening service in the restaurant. The young staff were all brilliant but not apparent manager to help out when they were busy. Would recommend.
Bedding and spa
Nothing!
Staff friendly ,clean rooms very relaxed atmosphere .
Clean, with friendly staff. Good food.
Slow check-in. Over 30 mins from arrival Spa staff quite rude and unhelpful. Especially the two male staff who talking for five minutes about non urgent stuff while my wife stood waiting for assistance
I don’t usually leave reviews but felt like I needed to for this one as the staff were fantastic. We were gifted a voucher to this hotel for Christmas and finally got round to using it. On arrival we were immediately welcomed by a friendly lady on reception who upgraded our room free of charge and we had free full use of the mini bar which was fab and added to the experience having a chilled wine in a gorgeous room. Room was clean, tidy and looked great. Our evening meal was fantastic, the only criticism we had was my steak was slightly overcooked but waiter Kai was great and actually took it off the bill for us. His service was amazing, he was polite, kind and went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant experience. We also made use of the spa facilities, both me and my partner booked treatments with Claire. Who was also fantastic. She made the experience comfortable, calm and very relaxing. We also had breakfast included and what a spread it was. From classic full English with all the toppings, to pastries, coffees, multiple choices for juices and other continental options. For value of money booking a “spa break” is most definitely worth every penny. We’re hoping to make this a yearly tradition so can’t wait to come back and see you all again soon! X
Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing overall. The reception staff appeared unfriendly, made very little eye contact, and we could hear complaints being made behind the reception curtain, which did not create a welcoming atmosphere. Incorrect charges were made to our account which needed to be rectified. The rooms themselves were pleasant; however, our room was connected to the neighbouring room by an internal door, and the soundproofing was extremely poor. We could clearly hear conversations and other noise from next door throughout our stay. The 'spa' facilities were very underwhelming. It was so busy that there was no available space, and we had to leave. The sauna and steam room were both very small, and the pool was crowded and noisy, making it impossible to relax. The food was particularly disappointing and well below expectations. The only highlight of our stay was the restaurant team, who were consistently friendly, polite, and provided excellent service.
Disappointing. The room itself was good - nice bed, clean bathroom and spacious. The pillows were old and as soon as used, your head went straight down to the mattress. The meal in the restaurant the night before was good as was the bar. But the real let down was the total disaster of breakfast. It was a Monday. Breakfast finished at 9.30am so we went about 8.50am and it was total chaos. We were told that everyone has come at the same time (like it was our fault!!) and. to sit wherever but every empty table was full of dirty crockery. Too few staff clearing up. The queue for breakfast was about 30 deep. Taking longer because the empty platters weren’t being refilled so people just stood waiting. Were told to go to the lounge area if tables full - we did but no crockery/cutlery and no one to ask. When I finally got to the hot breakfast, no sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes and hash browns. All the pastries had gone - I asked the person bringing 2 plates of fried eggs (!!) who said that pastries take take 15 mins to cook and it was 9.30am so they weren’t going to cook anymore!! I’d been there 40 mins and ended up having only some bacon and a fried egg and a cup of tea!! I complained to reception and was told ‘I’ll pass it on’. Pitiful!! It was my friend’s special 60th break. So very disappointed 😢
Very clean, friendly, lovely space outside and dog friendly. Room was large and breakfast choices were great . Access to the pool was hassle free and again really well maintained.
Needs a kids play area so parents can have a meal or drink outside knowing they are happy . Breakfast was manic maybe because it finished at 9:30 ? 10 would see a slower pace of people .
Nice clean queit hotel. Good location
Check in took a whole as only one member of staff
Breakfast was good - rooms were clean and spacious.. loved their outdoor seating area.. staff was friendly
Didn’t like that kids swimming closes at 6pm, holiday inn 5 minutes away had swim open till 9pm for kids. Also they were really inflexible to do a free late checkout.. despite having the room free with no other booking
Lovely location and we went for a walk in the woods before leaving. Decent sized room and comfy bed, slept well Good breakfast - they even had teapots!
1. No toilet brushes in room loo or in loos near reception, leaving some dirty toilets 2. Not enough staff on duty, the poor lady doing breakfasts was trying to do it all, needed some help. Big queues for cooked bfast, as food running out and not enough staff to service it. this was entirely predictable 3. Inflexible booking in. We were early, but had to wait till 3pm, no rooms ready, even tho they sent an e mail a few days before to say room was being made ready! Miraculously, £10 addition would have made a room available! The lady on reception at 2.15 pm actually REMOVED the bell on the reception desk for an hour! maybe this was her lunch break and on one else to cover?
The room was clean and comfy
Bar staff not very friendly, food very over priced.
Really enjoyed my stay here. The location was excellent, and we booked a suite, which made the stay even more comfortable. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. Overall, a very pleasant experience!
There were just two areas where I felt the experience could be improved. At breakfast, some items needed to be ordered directly from the staff. That itself wasn’t a problem, but at times finding a staff member to place the order felt a little like playing hide-and-seek! The staff were always very friendly and helpful, so this is certainly not a complaint about them. Perhaps they were short-staffed or the hotel was particularly busy. On the weekend, we also noticed that some breakfast items took quite a while to be refilled, possibly for the same reason. The other point was the swimming pool timing for children, which was only until 6 PM. As the pool was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, we sometimes had to shorten our time out during the day to make sure the children could enjoy it. Extending the children's pool hours a little further into the evening would make the stay even more enjoyable for families. Despite these points, we had an amazing stay overall. The staff were lovely, the location was excellent, and we would definitely book this hotel again if we return to the area.
Excellent hotel, everything was lovely from check in to check out. Such professional & friendly staff, gorgeous very clean large bedroom, really nice restraunt and food. Nice grounds and fantastic for dogs as there's a big field accessible straight from the hotel, great that it's dog friendly! Nice spa area, would stay again when in the area.
Service for food in the bar area was poor, and the bar closed early on a Saturday night
Great hotel with good amenities and excellent value. Booked for one night as a stopover and would definitely return. Beds/mattresses could do with updating (very hard in my room!) but ok for a nights stay.
We had a nice welcome on our arrival, the receptionist told us everything we needed to know about our stay. The room we had was well proportioned, clean and with everything you would expect from a good hotel. We ate in the hotel on the first night of our stay, I have to say the service was appalling. We ordered a bottle of Gavi at the bar, we waited and waited thinking there was a problem. We were in sight of the bar, the 2 guys behind the bar seemed to prefer chatting to serving us. My husband returned to the bar, apparently they had forgotten about the wine we had ordered and paid for. They then gave him glasses and a bottle of Chianti! My husband told the m we had ordered Gavi, a white wine and not the Chianti. The meal we were served was cold, the pasta my husband had was undercooked as were the leeks served with my lamb. To finish the meal we ordered cheese and biscuits and lemon tart. After waiting nearly 30 minutes my husband went to enquire how long it would be before service. Instead of saying ‘sooty sir, I’ll find out what’s happened’ the waitress said “Yeh, yeh, yeh it will be served when it’s ready”. The service staff seemed to be more focused on chatting to each other rather than serving their customers. The team who were in attendance at breakfast were great, nothing was too much trouble. We didn’t eat in the restaurant on the second night of our stay, we found a lovely pub down the road.
Very clean and spacious rooms.
Nothing
Spacious and clean. Quiet and well decorated.
Food prices are quite high for a family of 4.
Excellent breakfast, rooms nice and cool,
Leisure centre changing rooms could have been cleaner.
Everything was top class ll definitely come back.good value.
everything was great
A great two day break. Food very nice and staff helpful and friendly. I definitely would return in the future. Thank you.
Great hotel & food within close proximity to the Cotswolds. Lovely staff who were very helpful when asked for information about the locality
A large family friendly hotel with good facilities and a good standard overall. We received a warm and informative welcome from reception staff on arrival. Our family room was clean, well equipped with AC temperature control, two comfortable double beds, a good size bathroom with fluffy towels and nice quality shower gel, tea coffee, hairdryer, mini-fridge, iron etc. We used the pool, which was quite busy during the family swim times and water a little cloudy, and also the gym - both at no additional charge and extra towels provided. There was a spacious bar/lounge area to relax including plenty of seats outside. The breakfast buffet in the restaurant was plentiful and you could also order additional items (porridge, pancakes, eggs) from the kitchen. Weekend breakfast was busy but we all left full and satisfied. It was an unexpected bonus that the kids breakfast was complimentary with the paying adults. The hotel was a good location for visiting the Cotswolds and the Forest of Dean. Overall we had a nice, comfortable stay.
Lovely hotel with very helpful staff, evening meal and breakfast was also very good. Very convenient situated for touring.
Good location near bus stop, nice atmosphere ,really good food in restaurant.Helpful staff. Cleanliness good, tables needed to be cleared quicker and buffet food replenished quicker. Lovely king size bed with comfortable pillows. The only issue we had with room was electric kept on tripping and very noisy due to water pipes constantly banging,we also should have been made aware of refurbishment work going on in bedrooms next to us ,very noisy with drilling. Very good value for money.
Struttura bellissina. Ottima colazione. Staff super disponibile. Ottimissimo!
Food was lovely
Changing mat in disabled Changing facilities was resting on a walker. Gave the impression that it was sturdy. My bag fell through, it could have really hurt a child.
Perfect location for our journey half way point, nice and clean and everything we needed.
Kids not been allowed in the pool after 6pm
A really nice hotel, room excellent, spa, staff, and parking and location very good, food let in down , first night food (lamb) very good , second night fish and fries??. Dried out , and badly presented , not cheap.. so should be a lot better.
We booked a couple of nights away to visit the Cotswolds & were looking forward to a stay in this hotel particularly for the pool as our children love to swim. The hotel advertise that family swim times are until 6pm however, the pool was closed all morning for maintenance. My sons are extremely competent swimmers & were lane swimming (age 11 & 15) and not ‘playing’. A pool attendant came into the pool & roped off an area equivalent to a lane & a half for all under 16’s and the rest of the pool for adults. He came over & asked us to move to the tiny lane which was full of about 10 people (in the width of a lane & a half). There were so many people in the under 16 area that you couldn’t actually swim. I asked why they should have to move when they are clearly just lane swimming in an area with only a few people & was informed because his manager said so. Appalling treatment for a so called leisure break. The adult only session was due to begin in 40 mins so they wouldn’t have been there long & I could understand if they were messing around or blocking other swimmers but they absolutely were NOT. Our hotel stay was ok, there was a leak in the room we were allocated but we were quickly moved to another room which was fine. The shampoo & conditioner were empty in the new room & no milk was topped up in the coffee / tea area. Not a big deal but a few small things add up to feeling a bit annoyed. The à la carte menu is very expensive for the quality of food which came out. Likewise at breakfast the apple juice had been watered down & despite there being a menu to order items there were no pancakes. All in all we couldn’t hand on heart say it’s been a great stay & we wouldn’t come again.
Another great stay here on the 2 nights bed, breakfast, dinner and spa treatments package. Swift check-in, a lovely room - king sized bed, a safe, fridge, tea/coffee facilities. The room was clean and included both a bath and shower which was great. The spa facilities were great as always - all clean and tidy, lovely pool, sauna and steam room. Dinner was a great choice, fantastic portions and tasted lovely. Didn't have to wait very long for service and nice friendly staff working in the restaurant. Breakfast had plenty of choice - your usual full English items, pastries, fruit, freshly made pancakes and poached eggs which were a very nice touch. Spa treatments were amazing. Felt very relaxed afterwards. If they do the fantastic deal again featuring the 2 nights bed, breakfast, dinner and spa treatments package, we will definitely be returning for a third time!
We had a lovely stay at Cheltenham Chase Spa Hotel. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the food was excellent. Breakfast in particular was fantastic, with a great choice and everything tasting fresh and delicious. Our room was clean, comfortable and well presented. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend the hotel to others.
Spa, swim pool, jacuzzi, car parking, air con
Cost of room, cost of breakfast, no red wine in drinks available
The position near bus stops ones way to Cheltenham one way to Glos Very clean and good unkept hotel great set out
Nothing I didn’t like
Great location and friendly and helpful staff. The room was comfortable and well equipped.
The shower struggled to reach any sort of reasonable temperature in the evening. It was fair in the morning but still needed to be on fully hot.
