Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good although coffee machine wasn't working and on the second day we were told the urn with coffee was heating up although in reality it was lukewarm and very weak. To get a decent cup we had to pay for it!!!

I could have used a little map, place is quite large and I lost my bearings at times.

I didn’t like the dark pool area, no natural light. Just felt a bit clinical like I was at my local gym. Overall pretty mediocre, it’s not somewhere to experience luxury or be amazed by anything it has on offer. The staff were run off their feet during breakfast time. The owner should employ more staff. Breakfast was ok.

Disappointed not to be able to have a swim on arrival after getting changed then discovering there was a aqua aerobics class taking up the whole pool. A heads up would have been appreciated at reception on arrival of class times when guests of the hotel would clash with classes.

Very nice room with better than average leisure facility. Reception staff were very welcoming and helpful.

We found the leisure centre members very unfriendly and borderline aggressive in the mornings. They had very fixed rules as to number of persons allowed in the pool at any one time ( 6 people despite a sign stating 15 ) which they enforced vociferously and aggressively. I am an experienced swimmer who is used to swimming etiquette but when I took over a lane from someone who got out the two people either side seemed to narrow the gap and so I accidentally caught the inside swimmer and then in trying to avoid the other swimmer was accused of not swimming in a straight line and being verbally abused by the other swimmer for accidentally bumping into them. In other words a no win situation which resulted in my wife and I exiting the pool and upsetting our morning wellbeing. As a recommendation I would suggest laned swimming in order to accommodate up to 15 persons in the early morning session and written rules regarding this. Also we felt that the breakfast could be more extensive a choice.

The gym, pool and coffee space were the highlights.

A fire alarm went off at 1am in the morning. Thankfully there was no need to evacuate and incidents happen, but there was no follow-up from staff the next morning to apologise, or to make a small offer of compensation. A free coffee to apologise for a disrupted night would have gone a long way.

The staff were very welcoming and the location is very good.

Spa facilities would be quite busy at times so you couldn’t always use all the facilities. The toilet wasn’t the best either.

Kept clean and tidy, the bar and dinning area were good and well maintained.

For a 4 star hotel we expected there to be above adequate sound proofing between the rooms. We did not expect to be able to hear conversations with clarity happening on adjacent rooms nor did we expect to hear the constant turning on and off of switches and toilets flushing. The hotel is clearly very corporate orientated and therefore lacks personality.

We loved the hot tub outside and the swimming pool. Al the staff were lovely and helpful.

There is not alot to say in support of this hotel which was a surprise after the reviews that I read before I booked it. The car park is close the the reception is about as good as it gets.

This is a very expensive travel lodge, and to be honest a travel lodge is probably better as you know what you are getting. I paid for 2 nights and left after 1, and booked in somewhere else, as I couldn't stay another night. It was so terrible. The quality of the room was beyond basic and the walls were paper thin. You could hear your neighbours hanging their clothes up, puting on light switches, going to the toilet and every conversation. I asked if I could change rooms at 2pm as my neighbours were showing no signs of stopping talking but the receptionist came and asked them to be quiet as there were no other rooms available. I cannot comment on a leisure stay but if you are travelling for business then avoid this hotel like the plague.

Staff were very attentive and friendly. Hotel is in a lovely location overlooking the golf course and was less than a 10min drive into Bury St Edmunds with free parking available at the hotel. The room was spacious, comfortable and the air conditioning unit worked well in this hot weather. The swimming pool in the adjacent spa which hotel guests could also use was delightful so I was able to swim daily during my 2 night stay. Breakfast was delicious too with lots of choices on offer. A water dispenser in the communal hallway could be used to fill up the glass water bottle provided in the room, which was very convenient

With the hot weather the swimming pool was busy and it would have helped if the spa had put up lane ropes so those of us wanting to swim laps could do so, without colliding onto other people. It would have been nice to have had access to a small fridge in the room but with breakfast included in my booking wasn't essential. Appointments at the adjacent spa treatment rooms were already fully booked up and hotel staff suggested required 2 weeks notice for their guests to take advantage of the free treatments available, which wasn't made clear at the time I made my online booking

The facility is in good clean condition and it has air conditioning in the rooms, which was lovely.

I did not like that room service was extremely limited with no service from 10-6 pm on Saturday and only an outdoor snack and small meal cafe available for in person eating during that time. I was also shocked that they provide no hair conditioner in the room, just body soap and shampoo. I don’t think I have been in a low to high end hotel in 20 years that does not have room soap, shampoo and conditioner as basic standard supplies in the room.

This isa delightful hotel and spa a ten minute drive from central Bury st Edmund’s The room was large and comfortable with an excellent shower The spa has an outdoor spa, chill tanks and a swimming pool with sauna and steam So a great way to relax after a hectic day Breakfast was not the usual buffet - you ordered from a wide choice of cooked breakfasts but helped yourself to fruit cereal drinks etc

Only small criticisms were need better reading lights by bed and a few outside areas looked a little neglected

The view from the dining room (suitably named 'The View') was excellent. You could see the lovely landscape through large windows surrounding the restaurant. The room was clean with very comfortable bed.

The service was rather slow at the restaurant though the food itself was great.

It was mainly clean, staff friendly and well looked after.

The safe was broken in the room. The shower was lovely, but there was a strip of dirt where the shower door shuts which needs attention, and the waiting staff in the restaurant didn’t seems to be able to cope with just a few tables which was odd when the breakfast team managed no issues with more tables.

The large bedroom, lovely view over the golf course and pond. All staff Friendly and helpful especially those in the restaurant. The best of all for us was the pool with relaxing beds and outside jacuzzi and sun beds. The whole place seemed very clean and well designed. Very easy to find your way around by the signs .

As the bedrooms were a good size there was very little drawer space! One drawer each. Also as I have found in other hotels the bedside table was very small, I much prefer a cabinet where you can put away all medicines and charging cables.

The location and parking very good. Breakfast excellent, although I was surprised that the coffee included with breakfast came from a machine and that you had to pay extra for a "speciality" coffee. Meal in evening very good. Hotel clean.

Not much choice at breakfast for continental, only bread and croissants, no other pastries or little cakes. Bed a little hard and will ask for a topper next time. Were given an accessible room, which wasn't ideal, as tiny basin and no plug, but have already been allocated rooms for February, when we are visiting with friends.

The location and layout were excellent as were the staff who were able to reorganise my booking.

The room was a former smoking room and smelt slightly of smoke. The hot tap in the bath was almost impossible to turn on and off and the release on the plug was stiff too.

Very clean, modern, quiet location… The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The card from Molly, left in our room for our anniversary was a beautiful touch, which we will remember 💕

The only thing to point out is the fan in the bathroom (our room was 309). It’s fitted right above the sink. Seems like it’s got quite a bit of dust inside and every time it comes on, lots of dust balls/flakes falls onto sink..

We liked everything about the resort. The staff were exceptionally professional and friendly. The welcome in the restaurant was always warm , with superb service. The breakfast menu was very good with the food freshy cooked, as well as having a continental option. We ate 4 times in the evening and again were pleased with our food. We had a spacious quiet room, overlooking the golf course. The air con was great! I enjoyed the swimming pool. Car parking on site was easy and plentiful. There is lots to do and see in the local area.

The room was well equipped, comfortable and clean. Air-con was a life saver! The breakfast was very good overall, good selection. The facilities are excellent, spa and gym all well equipped.

The outside spa facilities were being maintained so we were unable to use them on this occasion. Although the indoor facilities were very good. The pastries for breakfast tasted a little stale.

My last visit was over ten years ago before it was renovated. The whole hotel has a lovely atmosphere it is so clean for staff are fantastic good fun and very helpful.

The room was amazing , the view and the situation of the resort was amazing. The gym was super equipped, sauna, and cold plunge and outdoor hot tub were amazing. Everyone was very friendly from the cleaning staff to the restaurant staff everyone made us feel welcome.

The bathroom was very small and it did not look like superior. Especially shower curtain, which is more like last century!

Facilities looked new and clean. Spa facilities were good and bar area nice. Despite having a wedding on we were not disturbed by noise.

Food isn’t great. We don’t have dinner there but breakfast was below par. Clear costing management. Poor quality meat and beans served in a condiment container (that was a bit funny) my wife’s breakfast was cold and inedible. Bar closed quite early on a Saturday with no last orders announced.

We were not welcomed in a friendly manner. The receptionist barely looked up from her computer and never smiled. The radio in the background was too loud so she had to keep repeating herself. First impressions were not good but things got better. The spa facilities were not well lit and the pool was cold and the jacuzzi was unavailable.

Restaurant service at breakfast was excellent. Enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi and were fortunate enough to find both areas quiet. Plenty of Parking and really liked the overall feel of hotel.

Areas around pool need attention as noticed cracked tiles and quite a lot of wear and tear on walls near jacuzzi. In room 202 the chair at table was broken and hairdryer was in very poor condition and difficult to use. Restaurant windows very dirty and general bar and seating areas need good sweep clean as a lot of cobwebs and debris.

Fantastic gym, swim and spa facilities that can be accessed prior and post check in. Staff were very warm and professional. Room and view onto the golf course was fantastic!

Would have liked a privacy blind (blind version of a net curtain) as we had to close the blind when getting ready to avoid distracting the golfers.

Very disappointed that having researched hotels with air conditioning in the rooms due to the hot weather, the standard of the ac was very poor and the room extremely hot. Also, when paying cash at the bar, the policy was to not give change, so ended up paying over the odds!

The facilities are excellent, and the meals available are enjoyable. I also received a room upgrade, which made my day truly special. The best sleep I've had in years. Will certainly return. The rooms are a great size and the King suite feels like home.

What a wonderful hotel! The facilities were fantastic, room really comfortable and it’s in a great location…breakfast was amazing. What really made our stay exceptional was the staff. Without exception they were friendly, kind and went above and beyond. We can’t wait to come back!!

Lovely clean and modern resort with a large room, excellent spa facilities. Great golf club views from restaurants and rooms. Would like to give a shout out to Danielle on reception, who went above and beyond to make sure we got our takeaway breakfasts at 7 am on departure day.

There was no place to put luggage but the floor. They did not have luggage rack or dressers to unpack clothing. They did have 10 hangers.

Food in the main restaurant was really poor. We ate there for dinner one night. Both meals were cold, poor quality and small portions. We was really disappointed considering the price. Especially as my partner paid over £30 for a steak. Cooked Breakfast was also poor. Again cold and poor quality. Continental selections were good thankfully. Also there were 3 ladies on reception when we arrived. 2 young females and a slightly older female. We were greeted by one of the young females but every time we asked a question or the younger female tried to talk the older female butted in from across the room and kept interfering with the conversation. Made me feel embarrassed for the younger female as it came across very undermining.

She was not attentive at all, due to her lack of awareness we wait an hour for breakfast. On a not so busy Friday morning.

Tucked in a golf course- this resort is perfect for a weekend getaway. The staff are friendly, the rooms are modern & clean, the Spa and health club is well maintained . Breakfast had a good spread and options were available for vegetarians in The View restaurant.
