Location and the bed
Some areas of room not clean. Eg the edge of room, the shower room edges, the walls, the carpet
The pool with my kids
Location. Bar area. Starbucks. Bedrooms. Food was good.
Paying to use the facilities as a guest. Paying for car parking
Didn’t have breakfast
Starbucks in property
No air con , room mega warm but couldn’t open windows as all could hear was motorway and duel carriageway cars and trucks from next door warehouse
Large comfy rooms.
Paying for parking whilst staying as a paying guest. Should be included.
More of a venue. Its lovely
My husband couldn't watch the Hull game!
Room standard
Poor breakfast selection for this price. Expensive parking for hotel guests. Need to pay for swimming pool or gym if hotel guest want use it.
Bed was comfy
Ground floor bar and reception looks nice but rest of hotel including rooms need updating. Room was dusty with rubbish from last occupant in bin. Breakfast offering was average -pastries were stale not much choice of continental options. Cooked food overdone. Clean Mugs all dirty and plates, cutlery and glasses/mugs smelt off dishwasher (ie dishwasher not cleaned
The room was very nice. Although I could not really use the pool facilities myself, they were enjoyed by the rest of our group.
I wasn't too sure about the self booking in at first but it did seem to work okay. Friendly staff were avaliable to support where necessary. I did struggle with the low toilet in our bathroom.
First time in Hull with a 2 night stay for 3 adults and everthing was excellent, food, staff and accommadation.
No issues with our stay.
Ample amenities on site.
Having to pay to use leisure facilities although I’ve paid for a room for the weekend.
Great facilities (gym, swimming pool and sauna), good location approx 8min drive from town. Beds very comfy
Breakfast was poor. The scrambled eggs tasted watery and artificial and no fresh fruit. Cleanliness could be improved- windows were dirty, room was dusty. Quite a few things in the room didn't work - heater and TV remote
Friendly staff Good location Pool and gym
Nothing
What a lovely greeting in morning from Jo and lyndsy very happy to see them made you feel welcome i have been there two weeks
Held our Diamond Anniversary celebration here, all arrangements were carried out superbly, food was great, everyone commented on how lovely it was. The staff were very helpfull but never intrusive. All together a lovely experience.
The room had everything i required clean
I thought the breakfast time was just a bit early and would have been brilliant if it finish 10:00 o'clock instead of 9:00 o'clock
clean

An excellent weekend. The hotel is conveniently located with additional amenities near. The rooms are large, comfortable and were exceptionally clean. The hotel was good value for money. The service and staff were excellent from the greeting and assistance of the Reception Team to the Cleaning Team, with a mention and great thanks to Michelle, Esme, Georgia, Emily and Christina who all made our stay so comfortable. Many thanks for a superb weekend break.
The village hull booked a night stay with my 12 year old to have a mum and daughter pamper arrived and went for a starbucks before checking in and its was very nice the lady at the check in desk was lovley and got us all sorted and gave us all the imformation we needed we headed up to our room which was lovley but there was a stain on the sofa bed arm and also the room was abit dusty with it being hot to there was a fan in the room instead of aircon to but from what we saw we was happy at first site we then headed to bnm and sainsburys which is about a 10 minuet walk away so not bad at all if you have forgotton anything we then went to the pool which my daughter absolutley loved and it wasnt busy at all changing rooms was clean and tidy we had our tea in the bar we both had the wagu burgers which was delisious my daughter said best burger shes had later on the evening when it come to relaxing the bed was comfy but the pillows was awfull very lumpy and uncomfortable it was around 10.30pm and i didnt want to go and ask for more pillows we then rolled the spare quilt up to make it like a pillow just to try and get some sleep but we just could not get comfy at 12pm my daughter got so upset from being tired and overwhelmed that we decided to leave we didnt get to try the breakfast but if its the same chef cooking the burgers im sure it would have been delisious the night staff was very understanding about me wanting to leave and did offer me pillows but i had already arranged transport home i did email the hotel and can say iv had a posative response and offered a complimentry stay and also refunded for the breakfast i had paid for the only real issue i had with my stay was the pillows could do with replacing or take your own .
Usually get air b&b. Nice change. Big rooms. Good amenities. Bar area was chill lots of tv's and sofas.
2 single beds for one person staying in one room? Should be a king sized bed.
Booked last minute and it was great value for money. It was easy to drive to and perfectly located for where we were heading. We had dinner in the restaurant, which was good value, and the fish and chips were lovely. It was busy but had a really nice traditional British pub feel to it. The room was clean and even came with a fan, which was a nice touch. The whole hotel was tidy and clean, and having a Starbucks on site was a bonus. The pool area was also clean, although it was quite busy. Staff were friendly and helpful too. Overall, no complaints and we’d happily stay again.
Everything
The location of the hotels brings a really nice view the areas for coffee, leisure and bar all have a very good atmosphere and the room is cosy and comfortable. The rooms are good for the money you spend with what comes with them and how comfy the beds. The rooms are very clean so as everywhere els and the room was silent couldn’t hear anybody else. The food we had was absolutely amazing and would definitely recommend the onion ring if you like onion and the food only took 15 minutes with was very fast. Ash made us feel very welcome and make our one year anniversary very special. Charlotte generously let us play darts giving us more memory’s and Andy gave us very good customer service. All staff working with a smile and all very helpful.
The gym, room, staff and accessibility
No aircon. Unfortunately I stayed during the hottest week of the year and the room was piping hot
Very welcoming and very clean nice comfy bed excellent service and breakfast with a special thanks to Lyndsey serving breakfast she’s a star treated the kids so well
Accessibility from M62 / A63 and easy to find. Great staff.
No air con on hot day / night. No towel rails so nowhere to place a wet towel?!? Toilet paper quality so cheap and thin it’s not suitable to effectively clean up one’s faeces without shredding.
Close to our destination
Toiletries smell awful
Room, cleanliness and pool all great and staff really were brilliant 5/5. Only disappointment no air con.. staff again great and got a fan but unable to open a window more than a couple of inches with it wired to frame it was sweltering - mgmt need to sort - great hotel though
It was clean and staff helpful and friendly
It was in the middle of nowhere. I’ve never been to Hull before so was disappointed that there was nothing around but car showrooms
Breakfast was paid for on all mornings but unable to eat Sunday morning due to 07:30 checkout. Disapointed as flying from Humberside which also has no food provisions
08:00 Breakfast Sunday
Lots of facilities to keep the whole family entertained
Some staining on the carpets and cobwebs up high
I have been here for a number of weeks now and I must say it has been a delight. The staff are hard working and so friendly. The food was wonderful . Have had just about everything on the menu Sunday lunch is exceptional the beef cooked to perfection thanks Manny. I have to thank Michelle for going the extra mile in helping me sort my bookings. I can’t forget all staff on reception Sue Andrew Tres Charlotte Bobby Maisey you have a really good team. Housekeeping are wonderful very clean rooms . All bar staff again very friendly you have a really good team working Thanks to Ian great bar manager Andrew Charlotte Esme Georgia . I will definitely be back again . Thank you so much for all you have done for me. I appreciate you all.
Food could have been better
Breakfast very good Location suited us just fine, easy to access from A63.
Bathroom floor could have done with a better clean, Tea/coffee cups not too clean. Overall no problem, not worth making a big deal. Room spacious and very quiet!!
huge room huge bed walk in shower
only one chair
The room was very spacious, beds comfortable. Gym and pool were great. Best bit - friendliness of the staff

A really fantastic experience! The staff were so attentive and welcoming. My wife and I were very impressed and will absolutely be coming back.
The food was very good as was the gym
Car parking charge when room prices are high. Poor room next to the lift. No soap in the dispenser.
Great value for money, spotless. Great food and swimming sauna etc was a lovely bonus
Nothing
Super sauber und sehr freundlich!
Es war alles prima
Super comfy bed and shower fit 2 comfortably.
PG Tips?? Where’s the Yorkshire please? Also, toilet seats need changing to soft close, it sounded super aggressive when closing.
great experience in village hotel hull. clean and quiet, and you can see the river right out of the window. the staff here are quite nice, especially Lindsay Creviewl. I stayed here for four days, and she is always there with a warm smile on her face. Lindsay, 谢谢!
A lovely hotel very clean and tidy a very good selection of this to do gym pool sauna and easy access to the town of Hull using the train, room on my stay was large coffee tea and on offer and lovely shower too and view of humber bridge, as for the staff lovely friendly and helpful smiling and Lynsey how was on the breakfasts very morning great with warm welcome greet, made you feel at home and went above and beyond her call of duty a lovely women indeed and evening staff were lovely too could fault them at all.
Had a great stay at the hotel as always. The restaurant was extremely busy at breakfast, as there was a very large party staying at the hotel. However, the service was exceptional as always by Lynsey and the team at breakfast. Lynsey made sure that we were looked after and the service was fantastic as always, thanks Lynsey.
Convenient location, friendly staff.
Room was too hot. No air con, we had a fan that blew hot air around. Took a while before being served at the bar as staff appeared to be talking to each other several times
Breakfast was reasonable
On arrival I was surprised there was no AC, parking was charged and breakfast was extra. My Search with booking.com I has specified AC and breakfast to be included. I had to go to the bar to order a meal where 4 staff were just chatting. My order was taken eventually. I wanted a bitter shandy. But I got ''can't do that''. Ludicrous. My too expensive burger was edible but overdone. Not a good experience.
The room was large and comfortable including a large comfy double bed. Breakfast was plentiful with a good selection. The staff were very good from start to finish through their friendliness and professionalisim.
That there was no air conditioning or an empty mini fridge as the room temperature reached high 20's to 30c during my stay. The desk chair felt like it was about to collapse. Attention to detail concerning both maintenance and cleaning needed attention
friendly accomodating staff
Popped in to meet a friend for lunch who goes to the gym here. Lindsay was absolutely lovely, who looked after us very well, and Manny “King of Spuds” lived up to his name as we both had outstanding chilli cheese jacket potatoes. Thank you so much!
The staff the location and facilities
Breakfast absolute rip off £19 for 5 items .no continental. No fried eggs .Just stop doing breakfasts its not right .
Clean tidy and good location
Room was hot, and unexpected £5 for car parking!
Nice and clean
No AC, very hot Very loud in morning as doors are open and slam shut - that shouldn’t be the case in a hotel! Please look at your doors. Should be charging less!
The bed was comfy and tv a good size.
The room could give been cleaner, cobwebs and dust and shower plug was grimy. Also noisy in the morning with music from the gym..
It was lovely and clean staff was friendly food was nice
No air con the room was sooo warm
The staff always go above and beyond. The room is emaculate. Really comfy clean beds.
I think the £5 parking cost should be included in the room price.
Odd location unless you are happy to be in the middle of a trading estate.. the positive is masses of free car parking and easy access to Humber Bridge and main roads into and out of Hull. Dont go if you want a lovely view or somewhere picturesque to walk. Lovely room with modern decs and great bed, towels, shower, space, big TV, No fridge or safe. Breakfast service from LINDSAY & EMILY was brilliant, cheerful, welcoming and willing, couldn’t have done more to be helpful. A bit let down by everything being prepacked/portion controlled. No pastries/waffles/pancakes only ‘square’ bread. Good choice of teas and in pots… more than I do at home nowadays! Altogether at the price, I’d go back.
Starbucks on site
Room not clean ,hotel tired ..pay for parking
Staff
It’s in Hull
Excellent service from Lindsay
We had a fantastic stay Thank you. Donna and staff we're so accommodating. From Andy on reception to the great bar staff all so helpful. I requested a tray of Sandwiches for when we returned to watch the late world cup game, they we're delicious. Great stay, we are looking forward to our next trip to Hull. We wouldn't stay anywhere else.
The only negative i had was the breakfast. Juice on bar, didn't know what it was it could of been a mix of orange and grapefruit! Felt disappointed with the breakfast. But again we couldn't fault the staff, they were lovely.
Brilliant gym and pool Starbucks Great friendly staff
Nothing
Popped into Village for a business meeting and received excellent service from Lindsay who was warm and friendly.
Room excellent, bed very comfortable, bar on site excellent.
Noise of doors slamming as people left rooms
The rooms were large, nicely decorated and the shower was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. A view of the Humber from the side.
It was too warm to sleep and the fan in the room didn’t help much.
Nice enough place with spacious rooms.
Flipping hot rooms with no aircon, poor sleep.
The village has everything you need for a short break. Plenty of rooms and on-site parking, a large and well-stocked gym with classes, and a heated 25m pool with jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. It’s got the lot. The staff are happy and friendly, the food is good and inexpensive. For a short work trip it’s perfect.
Some gym kit needs fixing, and the wet side of the changing area could do with both a refurb and more frequent cleaning.
Clenliness, shower, room
Lack of cheap option to buy snanks/etc, only option was to travel of site or pay very high prices at starbucks or the pub. No one on the front desk when I checked out at 6:15.
The location was perfect for us as it wasn't far hessle square and the taxi service was very good
Nothing really everything was very good
Super friendly staff, comfy bed and great facilities and bar.
Nothing, it was a bit further from the city centre than I thought but wasn't an issue.
Just a £5 Uber from Hessle station and it’s a top venue with clean, comfortable rooms, really helpful staff, a coffee shop on site and a place to eat and watch the World Cup. Swimming pool and sauna is an additional cost and not really walkable from city centre (taxi ride (£10) Enjoy!
The Village Hotel Hull On arrival, the reception desk was unattended, and we had to wait around five minutes before someone came to assist us. When we approached reception, we were asked if we had a booking, which we did. We had also paid for early check-in, but the receptionist informed us that early check-in started at 2pm. We explained that we had email correspondence confirming a 1pm check-in and were asked to provide proof. Once we showed the email, we were allowed to check in. The hotel itself was clean, modern, and well-presented. We had booked a Super Room and were not disappointed. The carpet was soft and felt luxurious underfoot, although there was a small stain visible. The room was spacious, with a large TV positioned in front of a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was also impressive, featuring a large rainfall shower and a heated mirror. We had no complaints about this area of the hotel. We had paid for breakfast; however, we felt it did not match the overall quality of the hotel. The fresh orange juice tasted watered down or of very low quality, which was disappointing. While the food was hot, there was not a particularly large cooked breakfast selection, with only scrambled eggs available. On a positive note, the coffee was of a high standard. Overall, we had a pleasurable stay with just a few minor faults. The quality of the room and hotel facilities outweighed the small issues we experienced, and we would consider staying again, however not pay for breakfast.
Hotel and spa is ok
No air conditioning and the breakfast wasnt good at all.
All was fine except for next question
I was put in a room immediately above a late night party and therefore had trouble getting to sleep
Came here last night with 11 family and friends & just wanted to put it out there what a fantastic evening it was. Everything was excellent. The food was innovative & the tribute act were amazing. The DJ as always made sure the dance floor was always full with his great choice of music. Fab atmosphere from the other guests too. We need more of these excellent tribute acts & would love to see the Westlife/Boyzone act back soon. Drink prices especially the shots could be a lot cheaper
Recently stayed while on a weeks training course. The hotel was clean and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The thing that made the stay though was the amazing breakfast staff Lindsey and Jo. Such happy and welcoming ladies every morning I miss them already.
Was down for two weeks for work, and the staff made all the difference. Mornings were made much more enjoyable by the relentlessly sunny and cheerful demeanour of Lindsay - makes mornings so much more bearable, and she's genuinely attentive to everyone who's down early. Big credit also to the manager Ian, who looked after us personally and made sure we had access to all the amenities we needed. All the staff went the extra mile for service, and I'd like to send a warm thanks to them all for looking after me during my stay.
Down for two weeks with work and could see it far enough. Sad to be leaving now as the staff were excellent and went above and beyond! Big shout out to Lindsay in the mornings who was an absolute beam of sunshine and made an early rise bearable with her absolutely golden personality and genuine attentiveness to every individual person staying. Another big shout to the manager Ian who looked after us and made sure we were well taken care of, especially making sure the Scotland game was on the big telly for us at 2am 😜 it’s been a pleasure!
It served a purpose in a very basic way.
This used to be a nice hotel to stay. Now it is functional at best. Very impersonal. Ryanair tariffs of everything is an additional hidden cost.
Had a great stay and must say the lady called Lindsay was super friendly and really nice, not only to me but literally every other guest! Noting was too much hassle and she actually makes time for the guests. It really is people like Lindsay that make me keep returning to the village hotels. Thanks for making a great start to my day and I hope you keep people like Lindsay as she is massive asset to the Village hotel. Thank you.
Bed was very comfy. Staff were very friendly. We didnt expect to be able to check in, but we showed up 4hrs earlier than check in time as we had plans for the day and was allowed to check in.
Bit of limescale in the kettle but nothing major.
Visited the Village Hotel restaurant and was served by Lindsay who couldn't do enough for us. The food was enjoyable and being a member at Basingstoke there was a good discount.
Staff really friendly and efficient. Room was spacious, and decent shower/bath. Food was good, both breakfast and evening meal. Excellent leisure facilities as well.
Having to pay extra to use the leisure facilities.
Thank you for a relaxing stay I suffer with anxiety but the staff was so friendly and helpful thank you so much
The location
Having to pay £5.00 for parking on site when it should be free for paying customers or be included in the £110.00 for the night with bed and breakfast
Easy to find, quiet location. Lots of facilities! Gym and pool were fab and a Starbucks on site!!
N/A
Special mention to Lindsey and Jo at breakfast. Each time I stay here the lady’s are so welcoming, helpful and friendly. This morning I witnessed a very rude, abrupt and demanding customer at breakfast both ladies worked extremely hard to appease him and literally bent over backwards to try to make him happy but he continued to be rude, negative and abrasive to them both. They could not have done any more for him and remained extremely polite and professional throughout. Well done ladies that was excellent customer service and patience!!
What a fantastic stay. Michelle, the manager, was absolutely fantastic. She couldn't do enough to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The food was great, bar/lounge staff very professional and accommodating, especially Lyndssy and Jo. The room was top notch and very clean. All together a fantastic stay.
Excellent 2 night stay at the Village - Lindsay was amazing and very helpful. Lovely breakfast, pool & gym facilities. We will be staying again.
Lovely stay at the Village, we had 2 nights and used all the facilities. Great room, comfy and clean. Special shoutout to Lindsay, who was fantastic and so welcoming!
Due to the change of the menu there aren’t many vegetarian food options and we were just discussing this at breakfast. Then Lindsey went out of her way without any questions asked and for breakfast she went and bought me suitable different alternatives! I will forever be grateful to her. She didn’t have to but she went out of her way and spent her own money to get me breakfast! She is such a thoughtful person and is such an amazing person! The Village Hessle is lucky to have such an amazing person!
First night here out of 3 and so far everything has been amazing! Had a good night sleep, bed very comfortable. The hotel is so clean and fresh, turned away from a lot of hustling and bustling of the city. I want to specially thank two beautiful ladies that I met at breakfast. Lindsay couldn't have done anything more to be very helpful to people if she tried, she's very cheerful, and Joe was quiter but also very helpful and equally cheerful. I was so impressed I had to write this after my first night.
Hull City Ladies recently held our End of Season Awards for both our First Team and Development Team at The Village Hotel, Hull on 9th May 2026, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. The hotel provided a fantastic function space that was perfectly suited to our event. The room was beautifully presented, complete with a stage, a TV for our presentation, and even a red carpet to make the evening feel truly special. The hot buffet was reasonably priced and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone in attendance. From the initial booking to the final moments of the evening, the service we received was exceptional. Ling, who handled our booking and organisation, was incredibly helpful, responsive, and accommodating throughout the entire process. On the night itself, the events team went above and beyond—supporting us with the setup, ensuring everything ran smoothly, and even stepping in to help with helium when ours failed. Their professionalism and willingness to assist made a huge difference and kept me completely at ease. We are genuinely grateful for the care, attention, and hospitality shown by the whole team. The Village Hotel, Hull played a key role in making our awards evening a memorable and seamless celebration, and we would not hesitate to recommend them for any event.
Clean room. Great breakfast. Friendly staff.
No facial tissues or shampoo & conditioner in the room. They charge to use the facilities like swimming pool and to park the car.
The rooms were very basic, the bed was extremely uncomfortable and the pillow are awful.
The room was clean and tidy. All the things you could need were included in the room. Plenty of parking outside with chargers close by for EV owners.
Not the Hotel's fault at all, it was a really hot series of days and they had provided a fan, but with three of us in the family room it was roasting and couldn't get enough air in the room to cool it down.
An excellent welcoming stay. The staff were all very friendly and helpful The room was comfortable and spacious The reception was very good and well organised The food was excellent and the waiters all very good. The room service was great especially on 23rd May in the evening Lindsay who was serving us breakfast went out of her way to help us with advice on travelling into Hull
I've been coming to this hotel for over 5 yrs now and every time I come Lindsay Sheard one of the breakfast staff is so welcoming and bubbly and caring she really makes my day! Massive thank you as its a lonely job staying away all the time but you really do make me feel like im at home x
