Beautiful hotel. Love the upgrades done to the place. Staff are phenomenal! This will be my go to place to stay whenever I visit St. John’s! Love it!!!!!

We were driving in from the west, so the location was good. I have some mobility issues, so we needed a luggage cart to unload our car. They were inside the automatic doors, but then there were 3 steps to get into the hotel lobby and reach the front desk. We were told that we could enter through the restaurant next door, but they had manual doors which were not easy to navigate with the cart. The desk clerk was curt. Then we followed a ramp to the right ramp to the left and then down the first floor of the hotel to reach the one single, old elevator. We had booked a full kitchen suite with a king bed. The frying pan was warped and greasy. The stove elements were warped, but worked. The was one pot with a lid. The flatware was old, warped and mis-matched. Overall, the unit was clean. The couch was sagging, but the bed was very comfortable. We had a major incident in the bathroom. The morning we were leaving to drive west to catch our flight, my husband had a fall in the shower. The dispensers are mounted immediately adjacent to the corner wall, necessitating you to stand directly in the stream of water. The slightly textured bottom of the shower does not extend that far. It ends about 10" from the drain and there is nothing to prevent slipping. There was no separate anti-skid mat. As my husband reached for the shampoo, he slipped and fell back, slamming his lower back into the sharp banjo corner of the counter. Thank goodness the shower curtain slowed his fall, although it tore off a couple of hooks. If not for the curtain, he would likely have cracked his head on that corner. He was immediately bruised and sore and I photographed his injuries. We reported that to the desk and were told that the incoming manager would call as soon as he arrived. It took 4 days to get a call and management is not taking any responsibility for his fall. They claim that there was an anti-slip mat and there was not. They claim that that's the best place to mount the bottles. That is another blatant lie. They essentially called him a liar. He has had steroid injections and has had to visit the chiropractor a few times and still has stiffness and discomfort. Worst of all, nobody has even said sorry.

I didn’t like that the bathroom didn’t have a fan, and that the room was a bit convoluted to get to.

Location.

The room (Junior Suite with kitchenette) was very comfortable. Free laundry facility. Comfy robe provided. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant had delicious food. Great location, walking distance to Avalon Mall, the car rentals and Fionn MacCool's pub.

Not very friendly and very nosy at night both nights at 3:30 AM nosy people talking outside our room . When we checked out nor one person asked asked us if we enjoyed our stay matter of fact no one even said a word to us very Rude . A lot of people smoking right by front door ever time we went in or out

Nice location, close to airport, 24 hour airport shuttle.

The bed/mattress was VERY comfortable and the bedding was soft and pleasant to sleep on. The a/c kept the room at a comfortable temperature. I really enjoyed the attached restaurant. The meals were yummy and good value.

Inform new guests that the key card might be deactivated by credit card or cell phone. I had a problem with my room key card being deactivated twice, but thankfully the 2nd time an employee mentioned that to me, and even followed me to my room to ensure the room key card worked.

I don’t like writing poor reviews but I rely on reviews when choosing hotels. We were in St Johns on business and chose the hotel based on location and price. The service was excellent, check in was easy and location was decent with lots of dining options nearby. The sheets were good and the room size was large. The hotel itself is very dated, the walls are thin, poor lighting and the bed was uncomfortable. We would not stay here again when visiting St John’s.

We honestly wasn't expecting the room to be this big. It was much bigger than we imagined! It was clean, comfortable and had plenty of space for our family. We really enjoyed our stay, and everything exceeded our expectations. We would definitely stay here again!

Central location

The room absolutely STANK of cooking odors. Additionally the AC was non operable and the windows only open ~1". The carpet was stained and dingy and the cabinets were cheap 1970's style. When I mentioned it to staff on check out, I was berated for not complaining about it upon check in, despite there being no other room available to move to and no discount offered. The entire building stinks of stale cigarette smoke and has what must be the worst layout of any hotel on planet earth. The elevator is straight out of a horror movie... I was legitimately concerned I would be stuck inside based on its shoddy operation and elected to take the stairs up/down from the 4th floor. I believe this building has reached the end of its useful life and is a good candidate to be torn down. Additionally, the room I stayed in should undergo an ozone treatment before being available to book again.

Liked location, liked the floors in room and had seating, table chairs, microwave and fridge and comfortable beds. Service was excellent,restaurant was excellent .

Only downfall was the couple of stairs you had to go down with your luggage as u entered the lobby .

The Ramada was an excellent place to stay during our time in St. John’s. It was close to everything and easy to get to - sometimes driving around a city can feel a little intimidating for those of us from very small towns in remote areas but I thought this location was great getting around. The restaurant was absolutely amazing! We ate there at least once every day during our stay. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the prices were excellent. The room I had, as well as the one of my family had, was updated. They were beautiful rooms with tons of space. The free laundry was not something I was expecting. It was really nice to be able to do a load of laundry during our vacation without having to fumble around looking for change. Would recommend and would stay here again.

A nightlight in the bathroom would be nice. If you get up in the night, it is dark but turning on the bathroom light is too much on the eyes.

We got a good rate on the room probably because we booked 11 months in advance,rooms are large and clean.

We were told with having a small dog pets were kept in one area, which happened to be below ground level with very small high windows. I wouldn’t have stayed here if I knew pet owners got the worst rooms.

The four steps into the Hotel Lobby

Nice big room with microwave, coffee maker and very comfortable king bed. Clean and quiet. Excellent value. Great shower!

The only thing I could comment on is the lighting in the bathroom could be better.

Good location. Easy to get to anything around the city. Rooms were spacious. Everything was vey clean.

The hallways are dim lit and on the verge of scary. Bad decor. Also the toilets are too low. Difficult for accessibility. The first floor was basically the basement so the windows were high and couldn’t enjoy seeing anything

Les clients arrivent de l'aéroport a n'importe quelle heure et notamment entre minuit et 3h du matin donc si vous voulez dormir et bien choisissez un autre hôtel ! Dans notre cas, une vingtaine de personnes est arrivée à 3h (car leur avion était en retard) ils ont parcouru les couloirs en faisant plein de bruit (des cris et des rires) ils ont toqué à quelques portes de chambre et tout ça pendant plus d'une heure et le personnel présent n'a absolument rien dit ni rien fait. Inadmissible.

Quite a distance to attractions in the city

Good location if you have a vehicle. Close to town, grocery store, and the highway for going on adventures. Had a room with a kitchenette and made good use of it. We were on the 3rd floor and it was quiet, almost no traffic noise. The room was cleaned very well and promptly. Nice staff.

The kitchen could have been better stocked-no glasses, just coffee mugs.

Slow elevator but not a deal breaker

We requested a fold up bed to be added to the room to a accommodate adult children, and they were able to provide that at a reasonable cost.

With the folded bed added to the room it was a little cramped.

The bed was so bad. It felt like 10 people jumped on it. Not firm at all
