No microwave or kettle. Dingy room. Staff not very helpful at the desk. Very expensive in August for what we got. NOT good value at all.

The rooms are dingy, the furniture is worn and stained. This place needs a complete overhaul and a good deep cleaning. The carpets are disgusting. There was garbage behind the desk under the tv.

Although the staff tried to help, there was not another room to move us to, and they apparently could not get the smell out, even with their cleaning staff. After 2 nights, we were able to move to a different room, which was much smaller. They only adjusted our bill by $20.

Reviewed Jul 10, 2026Das Hotelpersonal war sehr freundlich, die Betten sehr bequem und das ganze Zimmer sauber. Es ist gut zu erreichen und ein guter Ausgangspunkt wenn man über die Insel fahren will, denn der Trans Canadian Highway ist einen Kilometer entfernt.
Gemütlich klein aber wir waren nur zum schlafen dort daher kein Problem.

Carpet on a pet friendly room is not a good idea..there were obvious urine stains from previous pet stays. My dog was going crazy smelling the dirty carpet. Also, the shower was not clean.. the roof of the tub surround had purple shampoo on it.

I suggest same level of art at all Steele locations puchased from reputable galleries to take centers to a new level beyond mundane maintenance upgrades to approach 5 star rating. There should be more handicap parking. I had to walk long distances because of having no handicap parking available this pass stay. Two vehicles parked in the handicap spaces (2), one of which did not have the proper handicap sign. I find this has always been a problem.
