Beautiful hotel. Small Double Room was spacious and had everything I needed. The breakfast was good, with lots of choice. I had a meal from the bar in the evening, quick meal, and sat outside overlooking the golf course. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were included and refreshed me after a long drive. I would highly recommend.
The decor was exceptional and the staff were very helpful. The value for money was good plus the food, a very nice hotel.
There was nothing I disliked.

Staff were very obliging and helpful especially the male staff in the bar and lounge areas
Staff not very forthcoming in the restaurant in the morning. Had to ask for cups, cutlery and didn’t explain the menu and ordering well.
Okay hotel if you like golf but suits us when visiting Harrogate for trade shows and can charge car overnight
Noise from wedding party late at night
Breakfast was good but thought the coffee machine products average. I would expect a barista on duty providing quality products. The hotel aspires to be one of the best and it should have a point of difference
The coffee machine. The lack of proper milk in room as well as usb charging facilities close to the bedside tables.
It was lovely and clean, very modern.
No hot water in my bathroom it was just warm A lot of noise at night as we were above the area that looked like they were washing the linen
Everything was 1st class

The grounds a beautiful and nice and quiet
Skuffa!
The hot breakfast menu scrambled egg wasn’t ready when everything else was. When the item came and it wasn’t scrambled egg. It was fried egg which is not what I expected. The hotel room I stayed in had damage furniture which when I gave my £50 pre- authorisation deposit the staff mention this is to cover any damage to the property and any spa or food you have. I had to go and tell staff about the damage I’ve seen. I didn’t want to lose my deposit.
On the booking it doesn’t say anything about the PRE-AUTHORISATION of £50. When you have booked then the company itself sends you email requesting this.
Okay.
I loved the old style and the location was good to travel about
Nothing only maybe better menu selection
Good breakfast, with options. Location ideal, close to a train station, grounds are lovely & clean toilets
Gluten free & vegan options in the restaurants for evening meals
The staff and bar facilities
Couldn’t book a treatment. Bed was poor
We had stayed here about 15 years ago and everything was just as good now as then.
The checkin process was a bit slow.
Locatie, kamers en heel goede bedden. Heerlijk ontbijt.

Lovely building
The grounds require updating around the estate such as re tarmacking (red) and the fountain wasn’t working.
Absolutely stunning Hotel. Beautiful grounds
Nothing
Excellent facilities, staff and beautiful location. Highly recommended !
No complaints !
Beautiful grounds. Hotel nice - a little tired in places. Lots of rooms - ideal for wedding groups
Long walks to rooms. A little tired in places for what essentially is a ‘luxury’ resort
Very pleasant comfortable stay!
Limited swim time for children was not told on booking , 8till 10 am .. 4till 6.30 & completes not addressed , food came a different times & cool mussels .. the staff are not interested if you complain .. just delete & block you from social media platforms
Games outside for children broken .. very limited use of facilities for under 16’s .. food came at different times so didn’t eat together
Room wasn't ready straight away so I had to wait in the bar. There was no1 serving. I was waiting at the bar 15 min together with 3 other ppl. Then I had to carry luggage on my own to the 3rd room with 2 lifts. Very bad first impression. But the worst was spa. I couldn't get dressing gown as i didn't book treatment. But I couldn't book it as kids wasn't allowed there at all. It was freezing there. I got told my son wasn't allowed to be in jacueven that was empty and we have been there at kids swimming times. But second morning all kids sat there and no1 got told to go out. Very frustrating double standards In evening I had to wait 20 min for a drink again and ask twice for it Only great place was restaurant
We stayed for one night and had a lovely relaxing time. Beautiful views, lovely spa facilities, nice tasty food and a very comfortable night's sleep. Nothing to moan about what so ever! All the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful and the room was lovely to. Seems like a very well ran ship 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Location good for visiting family. When booking it would be useful to know the distance to some of the standard rooms. Due to limited mobility we were given an accessible room. Would have preferred a walk in shower. Pool was good but could do with some upgrading. Public areas very comfortable. Breakfasts good. Very limited blue badge parking. Carlos in reception very helpful.
The housekeeper Monica was brilliant and very attentive and helped sort out a problem.
The breakfast offering was poor and very greasy. The dining room was old and tired with ripped seating. I was placed in a room that smelt heavily of smoke. I opened the window and went out for two hours it still smelt very bad. My 15 year old son tried to use the pool in the evening with myself and was told no children allowed. I explained he was a lifeguard and could swim very well. I was told no he was a child. When I enquired whether they would allow an adult who struggled to swim in the pool now they said yes they would just look on the cameras. There is a big difference between a 5 and 15 year old. Who wanted to land swim for fitness.
The dining room staff (Julia, Lillian & Erin from the evening and Louise from breakfast) were exceptional. They provided an excellent service & made us feel very welcome. Susan & Paul Dickinson
We loved the grandeur of the hotel.
Flickering night light in the room.
Awful service in the restaurant. Had a reservation at 8 pm no one came over to the table until 8.45pm . We were sat 45mins without a drink and no water on the table. When they did take food and drinks order we still didn’t get the bottle of wine we had ordered. It finally came when the food came out so it took 1 hour and 10 mins for us to get a drink. I did let duty manager know on the morning we were leaving and still waiting for them to get back to me 4 days later.
Amazing, this is a beautiful place. Check-in was wonderful with the receptionist Mohamed. The suite was fantastic. Dinner and breakfast were great. All round a fantastic experience 10/10.
Friendly staff, good quality food and lovely spa
Our room was above the recycling bins and we could hear glass bottles being thrown in on numerous occasions. Also the windows of our room were blanked out, probably so we didn't see the bins! A bit disappointed with the lack of view.
Facilities are very good
Mattress was old and meant my wife didn’t sleep well. On our previous stay the mattress was exceptionally comfortable so maybe there are rolling upgrades and we got a room where the mattress hasn’t been swapped out yet
I really needed a break, it was short and pleasant, the facilities are good, however it was very busy in the pool, so we didn't get xhsnce to swim properly. The breakfast was nice. I have been several times and feel like I rested.
The only fault I'd say was that the air-conditioning wasn't working and couldn't sleep, but we rang reception and recieved a fan, whi h helped.

We stayed in Oulton Hall Spa and Golf Resort for 5 days in August 2026. A beautiful property Oulton Hall give you a royal feeling. Rooms were good, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was elaborate, the chef was ready to cook extra for vegetarians. We attended a wedding there. Overall a good experience.
We stayed at this beautiful hotel for one night and our stay was superb! We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the beautiful Richmond Suite which was extremely comfortable and spacious. The bath was huge, toiletries provided throughout the hotel were lovely, robes and slippers were included. Dinner in the Calverley Grill was delicious and service was professional, welcoming and unobtrusive. Oliver was very friendly. Food was delicious, particularly the Stilton Pannacotta. The hotel is beautifully decorated throughout and everywhere was spotless. Breakfast was lovely: a large range of hot and cold items with lovely granola and lots of different bread. Again, service was impeccable. The breakfast staff were efficient and cleared tables quickly. My husband is vegetarian and said the veggie sausages were delicious. All staff were efficient, courteous and happy to help. We had a lovely stay and would return in a heartbeat. Thank you to all who looked after us so well.
We stayed at Oulton Hall for our wedding anniversary and also used the weekend as a little business planning retreat, and I honestly cannot fault the hotel itself. The service was five-star from start to finish. Check-in was lovely, our room was excellent, and we had afternoon tea in the Drawing Room which was absolutely fantastic. We also really enjoyed the Champagne Bar in the evening. The hotel has such a beautiful atmosphere and the staff and service throughout really made our anniversary feel special. Unfortunately, the spa was where the experience fell short for us, particularly because there is such a noticeable difference between the standard of the hotel and the standard of the spa facilities. The pool was very overcrowded and there aren't really any loungers or comfortable beds around the pool where you can properly relax — mainly just small chairs. The bar and seating area are also quite small, and overall it didn't have the relaxing spa feel we had expected. There is a lovely little veranda outside, but getting to it involved walking through the dining area, gym and yoga studio. Once we eventually found it and sat down, our view was unfortunately of the back of the bar with around 50 barrels stacked up, which rather took away from the peaceful spa experience! 😂 The spa facilities themselves also felt quite minimal, with a steam room, sauna and cold plunge, but not much beyond that. We booked treatments too, which unfortunately weren't particularly memorable. Ironically, my favourite part of the spa experience was afterwards, sitting in the quiet room on the lovely padded relaxation beds. It was exactly the kind of comfortable, relaxing environment we had hoped to find throughout the rest of the spa, and it's a shame there aren't more spaces like this available. Overall, we absolutely loved Oulton Hall and would happily stay again. The hotel, rooms, food, atmosphere and service were fantastic and worthy of five stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ For us, though, the spa simply doesn't match the standard of the rest of the hotel. We'd definitely return for another stay, we'd probably just give the spa a miss next time.

People in their own dressing gowns at breakfast!
Excellent food. Very attentive and friendly staff. The building and decor are gorgeous and well maintained.
The entitled wedding guests parked their Rolls Royces in the disabled parking places.
Rooms a high standard, nice friendly staff in a very nice country Hotel. I stay in many hotels and always try to get into the Oulton if I am anywhere near the area
Regular visitor to this hotel over the years, inc Christmases, and a Breakaway Club member entitling me to discounts on food and drink and, not for the first time, I have had to stand at reception querying why no discount has been applied to be told that I am supposed to, cap in hand, show the temporary card given on booking-in (not explained)and mention my entitlement to staff every time I order although the booking was made under this scheme. Surely the system can pick this up, even the staff could ask the question - did I feel like a VIP - certainly NOT!! Bed was rock hard but, for one night, I appreciate everyone has their own requirements and I put up with it. Otherwise all good.
Absolutely amazing experience! Have to say Carlos treated us with so much respect I really was happy with the room the quality of the food and the customer service was 10/10, definetly will be staying again!!
Booked a country side view room and this is what I got a car park which was right by the function room so I was listening to loud music all night I got settled down at 11ish and the music was still going. I asked the reception about my country side view and they said it goes through a third party and that the third party allocates the rooms but either way this was a country side view. There was no resolution to this matter they just said there was no other rooms I could be shown and the only other ones with a country view was the suites. I emailed the manger and I’ve had no response but got a automated email which was signed from him asking for a review so here it is
Lovely hotel in a nice location & lovely surroundings. We did a spa break & had a lovely massage. I would highly recommend Binta. She was lovely & friendly & it was the nicest massage I’ve ever had. The spa facilities were nice & clean & the relaxation room was really nice . Room was lovely & dinner & breakfast were fabulous. Oliver really looked after us at dinner & he added a nice touch to my friend’s dessert as it was a birthday celebration. He also looked after us well at breakfast . Would highly recommend this hotel. All staff very friendly & helpful. Nothing too much trouble
Location, staff, interiors, food
Service was very slow on the bar, was really busy,, not quick to clear tables inside and out.
The grounds, gym and the breakfast.
The bed was really uncomfortable and small! We had the worst nights sleeps. The lady on reception in the morning wasn’t very friendly, didn’t ask if we had a nice stay, and how our £50 deposit would be given back, a smile and the little things make a difference.
Great location and beautiful grounds. As a lone female on an overnight spa break, I felt at ease throughout my stay. I felt safe and comfortable walking around on my own. The staff are warm, friendly and professional. The spa is clean and as you would expect from a 4 star hotel. I had dinner in the restaurant, the food was excellent with lots of options for gluten free meals. My room was spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable with all the amenities you would expect. My Spa treatment from Melanie was amazing, she was warm friendly and kind The only thing I would comment on is the poor gluten free choices on the breakfast menu. You get 2 flavours of granola to choose from. On the hot food stand the sausages aren't gf and there is no option to order any. So other than a piece of bacon you're essentially getting a vegetarian breakfast with no toast to hand. The bread and croissants state they take 20 minutes to prepare which seems a long time, as I had a treatment booked I didn't have time to order any. I freeze my bread at home and it takes a quick blast in microwave or toaster to defrost and cook. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay and left feeling rested and reset.
Our recent overnight stay at Oulton Hall was wonderful. Set in fabulous grounds, perfect for a walk with or without a dog, and with great spa and leisure facilities, this is a perfect choice for a short stay. The bedroom/ bathroom (we stayed in just a standard double) was a little tired and would benefit from some refurbishment, however, quiet, very comfy bed and had all the amenities you would need. The staff were very welcoming and efficient. We had a ver nice dinner, the occasion made extra special due to the lovely front of house staff, in our case Lillian and Izzy P, who were both friendly and attentive. Breakfast was really good - great choice, good ingredients and , in the case of the hot food counter, well cooked. All in all a great experience at a reasonable price.
I played golf here which overall was very good but……the course knew how many golfers were playing that day but in their wisdom left the young woman running the Claret Jug bar and food on her own. My thanks to AJ who did her best but the wait was unacceptably long to get a drink and a sausage roll. The staffing numbers should be reviewed with the Golf Shop so that service standards are maintained. A disappointing end to the day
Had a lovely time. Room warm and spotlessly clean. Bed comfortable. Plenty of hot water for showers. Food excellent. Particularly enjoyed afternoon tea. Will return in the future.

This hotel is beautiful everything is clean would definitely go again
Location is beautiful
Wonderful old building and grounds. Bedrooms were fine, but simple. Dining was good.
A beautiful building and grounds. We stayed in a superior double room that had been recently refurbished. The bedroom was illuminated by 2 bedside table lamps and a desk lamp. There were 2 down lighters in the entrance which were useful when using the wardrobe. The wardrobe did not have many coat hangers. The lighting was poor in the evening making the full length mirror useless. The bathroom had inadequate hanging space for towels, no where to hang them near the entrance to the shower, or when they were damp or wet. The restaurant was very busy on our first night, quite noisy but lost of people is T shirt and shorts. Not what we expected when dinning. Breakfast was also far from perfect, one morning we had to get our own tea and coffee, the following day we were served it. One morning we had no milk or teaspoons, looking at other tables some had milk, some had teaspoons, some tables had just 1 teaspoon. These were tables for 4 or more people. All very inconsistent.
Lovely meal in the claret jug for my nieces 21st birthday, Chris was awesome start to finish!
Had a great time at the Claret Jug.. Claudia really made us feel welcome, she was very polite and really nice nature and was happy to help us out..
Friendly & comfortable. Good spa facilities.
Fantastic period building and gardens set in a good location. Rooms were spacious, well decorated and clean. Full English buffet breakfast was excellent.
Could have had a bigger bed and firmer mattress in such a large room. A choice of eggs, rather than just fried, would also have been preferable at breakfast.
Beautiful building
The fact it allowed dogs. The seating area past reception smelled of wet dog. Not nice smell for a Spa Hotel.
Staff were friendly, food was great and facilities were clean
Location , style and interior , comfort , value for money
Nothing really
The Spa and beautiful grounds
Some parts need modernisation
Nice food at the restaurant Good ev charging
Room smelt of smoke Spa a bit grubby and problems with plumbing No conditioner in bedrooms Rooms a bit dated Room a very long way from entrance
We stayed in Wensleydale at it was such a beautiful room. My wife was in love with it and the view. We were treated so well by the staff. Special shout out to Oliver in the restaurant who was friendly, knowledgeable and engaging without being intrusive.
There was really nothing that stood as worthy of note here
Comfortable, nice grounds. Looks nice. Staff in Restaurant very good and made a birthday celebration special.
Staff are friendly but many young staff who clearly lack support from leadership team. Clearly understaffed and overall the service does not match surroundings. Long wait for food in the champagne bar and staff who go to get things and forget to come back! An ice bucket is provided for Prosecco on a big stand which is nice but guests then have to carry this through the bar to the lounge. Just not quite what is expected for what is marketed as a luxury break. Pool area a bit disappointing and rooms had a musty smell and were a bit tired.
Love the old traditional style, with lots of lovely comfy areas to relax inside and outside, the food was also great with great choices for vegetarians, gluten allergies and more

The pictures on their website
Room was oversold, countryside view was a car park, a burnt hill & a bar- not how described & a bit shabby. Room stated toiletries so left mine behind only to find it was a bottle of hand wash and the smallest bar of soap in the world. No shampoo, conditioner or body cream as pictures show. TV did not work and wrong batteries sent for the remote twice, both times the staff left the bedroom door open whilst we were not in the room.
Location
Beautiful grounds. Lovely staff. Communal areas are beautiful. Ample free parking and conveniently located. Comfortable bed, clean, spacious room.
Decor in room a bit tired, shower was clean and functional but only overhead no detachable shower head option. Toiletries very basic. Low quality toilet paper and facial tissues. Water in the room was Harrogate brand which has a terrible taste. Tea and coffee in room low quality.
Loungers needed in the spa area
Absolutely beautiful hotel, felt so luxurious. Gorgeous grounds. Fabulous staff.
Smart TV would upgrade the room.
Despite being a stately hotel, it oozes quiet dignity, very welcoming with very good facilities in the SPA. Greatly appreciated an unexpected upgrade.
Unfortunately the Jacuzzi was not working
Location
Bathroom in room was full of hair
We loved Oulton Hall and the grounds. The decor was tasteful, dinner and breakfast was also good. Staff also fantastic and always friendly!
Sadly I had my handbag stolen in the hotel lounge. But that is no reflection on the hotel. Our hotel room was a little dusty, but bed sheets and towels were clean.
L’emplacement, le golf, le spa et l’ambiance très British
La propreté (plateaux laissés dans le couloir, moisissures dans les salles de bain, tables des restaurants pas toujours très propres)
Very high standard and quality.

Beautiful building. Lovely staff. Breakfast ok. Swimming pool nice.
Room could’ve been cleaner. I dropped my earring and noticed whilst on my knees that the edges of the carpet had thick dust. I paid extra for a nice view/better room and both were fairly mediocre tbh.
Staff extremely helpful
No air con or slippers with robe
Very clean good breakfast
Could be more food options for dinner menu
Beautiful building Decor was very nice
Food wasn’t the best in the grill
Wasn’t clean
Very spacious outside and staffs are helpful
The extractor fan in the toilet are not working, the toilet door needs to be slammed to keep it shut and speaking of that you can hear your neighbours shutting their door as if you are beside that door
We booked a Family Deluxe room for four people, based on the photos and room description shown at the time of booking. We specifically chose this room because of the layout and sleeping arrangements shown in the advertised photos. Unfortunately, on arrival we were given a completely different room. The room we received had a double bed and additional narrow single/folding beds and was clearly not the room shown in our booking. We showed the booking details and photos to reception, but were simply told that there were no other rooms available. No suitable alternative was offered and there was very little effort to resolve the situation. For us, this is not acceptable. If the hotel cannot provide the room that was booked and advertised, it should offer an equivalent or better alternative rather than simply telling guests that nothing can be done. The restaurant experience was even more disappointing. We were seated in a different area of the restaurant and waited for approximately two hours without being properly served. We felt completely ignored by the waiter and had to wait an unreasonable amount of time before anyone properly attended to us. When our drinks finally arrived, even the cappuccino was poorly presented, with coffee stains around the rim of the cup. This may seem like a small detail, but together with the extremely slow and inattentive service, it added to the overall impression of poor standards. What is most disappointing is that this happened at a hotel that presents itself as a high-quality hotel and resort. We expected much better communication, customer service and attention to detail. The room did not match what we booked, reception did not provide a satisfactory solution, and the restaurant service was extremely poor. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we cannot recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.
Very poor! Saved up for this aswell it wasn’t worth no wear near what I paid , very upset
We had a lovely overnight spa break at Oulton Hall Hotel and really enjoyed our stay. The overall experience was very good, from the beautiful surroundings and historic atmosphere of the hotel to the relaxing spa facilities. It was the perfect opportunity to unwind and enjoy some quality time away. The room was comfortable, and the hotel had a lovely relaxing feel throughout. The spa was a great addition to the stay and made the overnight break feel extra special. The massage therapist Haleema was exceptionally great too as well as being warm and welcoming. Overall, we had a really enjoyable experience and would definitely consider returning for another relaxing getaway.
This is such a fabulous hotel , our student grandchildren ( from Leeds university ) loved it .Delicious food , delightful staff from the moment we checked in with delightful Sharon on reception , to the helpfulness of the Restaurent staff Lillian Rosie and Julia. .. and Ollie the maitre d’ whose warm welcome was so lovely . The Hotel atmosphere was warm and welcoming and we would definitely like to return . The room was very clean and comfortable, the maids really helpful , but I could not use the lovely shower as there was nothing to hold onto, a couple of grab rails would be good .. for all hotel showers for many people with balance issues. The gardens and colourful flowers were beautiful.
Gardens and bar
Bedroom and corridors looking tired , needs a revamp
Very good but occasional plumbing noises.
Rooms are basic but well maintained. Food was lovely, nice selection
Due to the grandeur of the hotel i think there are little things like the wine glasses that can be improved as they are the cheap think stem glasses which makes the experience feel less special. Smaller details make the difference.
Very lovely staff, food came quickly and was excellent quality. Very welcoming and friendly on a wedding day. Brilliant place for food.
We attended Oulton Hall on 2 August 2026 for a couples break and I wanted to share my honest feedback on the visit. Firstly, the staff were outstanding. Everyone throughout the hotel, from the spa, restaurant, bar, reception and chamber maids were all lovely. The hotel grounds, general ambience and decor had clearly been well thought out and had a touch of luxury. Top marks. The room was poor, the bed was not comfy, I appreciate this is subjective, but I would question how long the mattress had been in situ. 1 pillow on the bed, incredibly old tv with no access to digital channels, Netflix, BBC Iplayer etc... (This shocked me, I thought that was just standard in 2026 in a nice hotel. It was also strangely noisy, so many random noises led to an awful sleep experience. The restaurant was great, the food was highly enjoyable, fairly priced, but I had to wait an unacceptable time for a drink in the evening, following the order being taken it took over 10 minutes. My wifes drink came almost straight away, so it just felt a bit awkward as we usually do a little cheers with the first one. The spa was perhaps the biggest let down, the pool was cold, it was over subscribed (queing to get into the sauna / steam room ), the chairs around the pool do not make for a relaxing experience and the clientele that were present at the time, a group of young males (6/7 of them ) who seemed to enjoy using profanity in every sentence. I appreciate the hotel are not responsible for other peoples actions, but it all led to a disappointing experience. Lastly, my treatment, I had a 25 minute facial and noted on the form that I had oily skin. Whatever was applied to my skin only added to my already poor skin and 3 days later my skin is still in an awful condition. I didn't expect to get a facial and end up with worse skin than before, no discussion took place prior to the treatment (other than the completed form) I was expecting the expert to discuss this with me and it left me wondering if they were adequately qualified to discuss and advise on such matters. I could have altered the treatment to a massage if I had been made aware that the treatment may make my skin worse. Overall, due to the sleep issues and the spa experience, I would find it difficult to recommend this hotel to anyone. Compared to other spa stays I have been on, this one was disappointing.
This was a voucher deal spa experience for myself and three friends. It included cream tea, £35 towards evening meal, 4 drinks vouchers each and late check out. A real bargain! The staff were lovely and so helpful, I can't really fault them at all. It was very relaxing sitting in the lounge area, the staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Our rooms were nice and clean and plenty big enough for a one night stay. I struggled with the evening meal as I don't eat meat and not a big fish lover and the pasta dish I chose had been slightly changed to include pumpkin, which I had never had, and don't think I will again! Although I wasn't keen on my meal, my friends seemed to really enjoy theirs. The dessert made up for it though, it was gorgeous. Because of the food allowance, I wasn't bothered that I hadn't enjoyed it all. I eat to live not live to eat! We then went in the bar to spend our vouchers! After Prosecco with the meal, we went on to gin and vodka and were pleasantly surprised to be served named drinks rather than the house stuff. We were served rather large gin glasses that take a bit of drinking so decided it might be better to have a double next time. This caused a problem as the young lady serving said she couldn't do this, something to do with mixers, but I didn't understand what the problem was as we would only be having one mixer with two gins? Anyway, we ended up not using all our vouchers as the bar closed quite early and then the four of us were the only people in the lounge! This is where my slight negative comments come in. I went to the ladies toilets, I didn't see any staff about at all. I felt very uncomfortable walking in as all the doors were closed and it was very quiet. Not a pleasant experience. I told my friends two should go together just to be safe! In the lounge a lot of the low windows were open and anybody could have climbed in - my imagination running wild again! My only other slight negative is the 'spa area'. It was quite busy in the pool with people with children and there seemed to be a lot of men going in the hot tub, one who's behaviour was very inappropriate and made us all feel uncomfortable. We didn't go in the sauna or steam rooms and we certainly didn't feel relaxed at all when we came out, so this wasn't quite what we expected of our 'spa break'. Apart from these few small niggles, we had a really nice time and I would certainly recommend it, especially if you get a good voucher deal! We will definitely be back. One small suggestion, possibly more outside seating? We only saw two tables with a couple of seats and stools and they were taken. Did we just not look hard enough? 🤣
Lovely dining experience in the restaurant, high quality food and service. Greeted and seated by Lillian with a friendly smile and served by Izzy very friendly and professionally. Highly recommended staying at this beautiful hotel.
Oulton Hall offers more than simply comfortable accommodation. It contains a 19th century Victorian Mansion that offers much to see and appreciate, such as impressive grand staircase and high-ceiling reception hall. The grounds also provide pleasant walks that still reflect much of the landscape vision established over 200 years ago. We had a pleasant one-night stay at the hotel while we took the opportunity to visit the nearby Wakefield Cathedral and Nostell House.
