Right next to the road at ground level got a bit noisy with traffic. Double glazing might help. Was there mid summer, no Aircon made it a bit uncomfortable temp wise.

The stuff we’re very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and the area was very clean. They made us very welcome and they were welcoming to my dog as well. We were able to eat within the restaurant In the non carpeted areas with my dog.

I’ve stayed at the hotel before, but this time we stayed in what I would describe like a chalet. The room was modern but it smelt really bad of damp they was signs of black mould. There was also a smell near the window of what smelt of urine. I did report to the staff.

The room was a nice size and the pub was easily accessible to us throughout our stay. I loved the way we could trade our rook cleaning in for a gift.

We narrowly missed getting a parking fine because we were told on our arrival to park opposite the pub. Future guests must be wary because the car park you must access is not the main car park and instead is on the other side of the accommodation.

Breakfast was awesome . Though I was was hoping to get a nice steak evening meal but for some reason I could not find anywhere that served steak. very strange . The staff were very friendly & well organised. Though taxis are very expensive.

We liked the location, room was a good size, clean and functional. Sleep quality was good, comfortable bed and quiet location as we were at the back of the property away from the busy road. Breakfast was excellent and we were able to have it outside next to the lake. All staff were polite and helpful without exception. We will almost certainly stay here again.

A fairly busy road divides the property, you need to cross this in order to check in and for breakfast. Outside stairs up to the room which were inconvenient for elderly travellers in our small group.

Expensive drinks, even soft drinks, and breakfast juices not topped up properly. Sauces for breakfast not easy to find. The tv in the bedroom took hours to get working due to poor internet signal and we had to get someone out to look at it which isn’t ideal when you have a toddler at night time on a rainy evening.

Everything was great about the room but for me the restaurant that goes with it wasn’t to our taste unfortunately

The Windermere rooms were exceptionally comfortable and clean. It was across the road from the waters edge in where we had our breakfast and an evening meal. The menu was basic but well cooked. The situation is so picturesque overlooking Windermere lovely place to stay and we’d love to go again for longer.

The room was in good order and pleasing. Very clean. I loved the private patio outside with table and chairs. Great channel choice on TV. Wi-Fi good too.

Sadly, the door on the shower wouldn’t close, so I grabbed hold of handle and opposite side of door, tried to shut door gently and door came off track and fell towards me (heavy door for an oap!). Also, the shower mat wasn’t long enough, floor of shower very slippy. Tap felt awkward for a left hander. These are not complaints, just pointing out what happened to us.

Room was nice and clean , perfect location for the boats to go to different places. Breakfast was beautiful and plenty of selection. Staff all friendly . Carparking all included.

Having to pay £60 for our 2 chihuahua,s to stay. That was my only negative.

Location was excellent, just over the road from lake Windermere, in between ambleside and Windermere. Room was big, clean and comfortable.

Only things that could have improved would be some coat hooks in the room to make storing coats etc easier.

It’s a great place, we’ve stayed there many times and will again. I understand things get used and get tired. No doubt it will be put right . As the standard of the hotel is great.

The room we started in room 53 , the bathroom was poor , tiles coming off the wall , low pressure in the sink tap , just about enough to brush your teeth with .

Perfect location on the lake. Traditional hotel building with a large bar. Lovely staff - especially the lady who checked us in.

Poky, inconvenient room to pick-up breakfast components, therefore crowded and hot.

Good quality; breakfast was self service and no limit to how much you could choose. Also it was varied.

The location was good near the lake though the noise of the traffic in the mornings woke us up. The constant music in the inn was something we didn't appreciate.

Both myself and my husband enjoyed our holiday, it was amazing especially because our dog could come in for breakfast and a late night drink with us. The facilities were brilliant. We sat outside for our evening meal as the weather was great. The view was fantastic. Lots of dogs all friendly. An amazing vibe for the young and old. Staff really friendly and attentive and they must work really hard . I would definitely recommend you and already have to my family. Thank you for an amazing stay.

The only thing was the meals on the menu. Maybe do a lasagne and keep your sandwiches on the menu all day with a bit more variety. I preferred to eat outside for my evening meal and we did but sometimes just wanted something light like a sandwich . Other than this I couldn’t fault you. Just expand your menu, even introduce jacket potatoes with maybe tuna mayonnaise or cheese and beans and a steak ciabatta and salad .

Excellent location, next to the waters edge. The room was spacious and quiet, despite being near the road. A good large bathroom, with a strong walk-in shower. Comfy bed. Overall, exceptionally clean and well presented. Parking was outside the building and nearby. Ample and good quality breakfast, plus the two evening meals we had were reasonably priced, with good quality food. Throughout, staff were attentive and personable.

Minor point, but the scraping of the chairs on the slate floor in the dining area is excruciating to anyone wearing hearing aides - it must be the frequency!

I booked late checkout via phone for £25 (2 weeks before) which is much more expensive that I've paid in other hotels, I was not informed that I could add this at during online check-in. When I checked in online (2 days before stay), i was then offered the ability to buy a late check-out in for £15. I took a screenshot and showed the receptionist during (physical) check-in. No compromise was found, no willingness to provide a refund, nor match the online offer. No consideration to customer satisfaction. Seemed ridiculous. Will not be staying there again, they seem to be a little too complacent with the location. No phone signal and WIFI also did not work.

Got bitten by bed bugs. Bed sheets super scratchy (take your own sleeping bag liner). Shower not easy to access because of the way the doors fitted.

Wir waren für fünf Nächte dort um uns im Lake Distrikt umzusehen. Dabei hatten wir eines der sogenannten Gartenzimmer gebucht. Das liegt gegenüber der Straße und hat uns im großen ganzen gut gefallen. Die ganze Anlage liegt direkt am See mit großem Biergarten. Beim Frühstück schaut man aufs Wasser, die Lage ist schon sehr schön. Das Restaurant ist ein typischer Pub dort gibt es auch das Früstück. Typisch englisch, hätte aber schon etwas abwechslungsreicher sein können, bei dendort aufgerufenen Preisen. Alles in allem aber ok für ein paar Tage an einem super Ort.

Das Frühstück häte schon etwas liebevoller angerichtet werden dürfen Viele eingpackte Produkte, der Spaß dort ist ja auch nicht ganz billig.

I think the best way to decribe the hotel would be adequate. We requested a ground floor room as my wife is under going chemo and finds stairs difficult so they put us on the 3rd floor of the building with no lift. Room was small and very hot despite us booking a large double. I wouldnt say it was dirty but wallpaper was peeling above the bed and carpet very stained. Breakfast was good. Great selection but they really need another toaster que for toast was a little annoying. The hotels location is great right on the lake but you need to cross a busy road to get back and forth to the rooms, as its right on a bend this can be a bit of a nightmare when your not as quick on your feet as you used to be. The staff are lovely and all very friendly and helpful. But rushed off their feet, they never stop but there is always a queue at bar long wait for food etc.

I didn't feel the room itself was at an acceptable standard. We booked a large double room. If that was supposed to be large would hate to stay in a small one.

Accommodation was fine. Quite a difference between the two rooms we had - one was very modern, the other needing some TLC but was ok for the one night we stayed.

Huge, comfortable, very well equipped dog friendly room on the ground floor. Lovely breakfast served across the road in the pub with gorgeous views over the lake. Free parking for the day of arrival and the following day.

There was a little road noise as our room was on the front but it didn’t affect our stay. Other than that we have no complaints would happily recommend to anyone.

We were there during heatwave. The small fan in our ground floor room was not sufficient. There weather has been in high 20s or 30s all summer. A larger stronger appliance should have been there. Our room was on the ground floor and the curtains and windows had to be kept closed the whole time adding to the heat problem.

The only little blip was on the menu provided for breakfast, vegetarian full english option available but you had to ask for vegetarian sausage which had to be then cooked. My husband had finished his breakfast before I started mine.

on arrival we asked at reception ( the bar) where do we log our car for the car park ,a young gent said outside by the door to the right , I went and looked and it was a meter , I went back in and the same bloke had another resident asking the same question and he said "oh I can do that for you here" , I waited and when he looked at me I said is it something I said or done you did it for him and send me outside , well at least he apologised and booked my parking , food the menu was quiet limited for adults and when we did find a meal we ordered with mash not chips , when it arrived CHIPS , the waiter said don't worry ill get some mash , so my wife waited for 10 mins with the rest of her food going cold , then decided to eat the cool meal , THE MASH NEVER ARIVED , WHEN I QUESTIONED THE WAITER HE JUST SHRUGGED HIS SHOULDERS AND SAID OHH WELL SORRY , this was not good enough but we left it there

Location was fantastic, couldn't ask for better.. Breakfast was good, with a variety of choice. Lovely pub, with a fantastic beer garden right on the lake. Staff were all fantastic and helpful.

Room could have done with a refresh and was looking rather tired. Room was quite small but not too much of a problem for us. Unfortunately, the walls were paper thin, to the point we could have joined in with next doors conversations!

Breakfast was very average and quite chaotic, staff seemed stressed and were quite abrupt and rude. We’ve stayed here before (when it was the regent hotel and loved it)…..not sure we would stay again.

The flow of accessing breakfast, many people were crossing over each other to access tea/coffee which would have been better in the lower room in the space in front of the radiator. The toaster was in the wrong place, often people waiting for their toast blocking the access to the toilets
