Clean , breakfast
The beds
The employees were so friendly. There was an older man that was cleaning, and he just put a smile on my face early in the morning. He gave excellent recommendations. And I had a good weekend.
I feel like you guys went a little bit above and beyond for breakfast. The red velvet pancakes and the milk, alternative options. And all the sides.
Location and room rate.
Parking was atrocious. Very, very limited and $30 a day.
Convenient parking and very friendly staff
Front Desk Staff was excellent. Very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Room looked exactly as advertised on Booking. Our suite was very clean and spacious. Comfy beds! Decent Breakfast.
Nothing with the property, but there was loud traffic that kept waking us up - very loud motorcycles going around the block at night.
I really appreciate Chris Burton for going the extra mile and providing good service to me and my family.
Everything was phenomenal. Outstanding staff all around and the room was excellent.
Only bad thing was the traffic noise in the king suite. Nothing the hotel itself done though and it wouldn’t keep us from staying again!
Location, staff were all very helpful
Pool was down
Location
When we walked in the room the smell of urine was really bad that we had to spray our own perfume to be able and cover it up.
Bathroom spotless Floors both carpet and tile-spotless Location great walking easy except for the heat Breakfast was just average though Staff excellent and smiling Room had additional seating Has some covered parking
No fan in bathroom
Room was clean and comfortable. Nice view and great staff that were very friendly and nice. Well taken care of, greeted when coming in the lobby and down the next morning.
Didn't like that the poll was down and was never told that it would be down, till we got there.
This hotel is close to everything in downtown especially night life.
There was no pool and it was not on posting. Front desk did comp my parking. Parking fee was not listed on booking app.
Great value and quality for the location near downtown
Very welcoming. Chris was very cool.
Our stay here was definitely a success great atmosphere and experience staff is very welcoming and friendly especially Chris! would definitely recommend to anyone coming to knoxville!
Room was very clean. Loved it
We were on the third floor and the street noise was something I have never experienced before. It was very loud . Even with the noise machine and ear plugs
Ebony behind reception was amazing. Forty!
No water in pool
Very welcoming. Chris was very accommodating despite my wild little ones hanging off my legs. Rooms are clean and the location is very efficient. Want to point out again how accommodating Chris was, I’ve been to a quite a few establishments and his customer service skills rival that of 5-Star Hotels. Thank you.
As a frequent traveler, I tend to take in the sights of a new city and experience the local vibe. Sometimes its great, sometimes I'm not as lucky, but my hotel stay rarely plays a part in my enjoyment of the area. The Hampton Inn Downtown Knoxville was a complete exception. We were greeted by Ebony, a rare jewel, who bent over backwards to make sure we had a great stay and took time to advise us on our trip itinerary. The rooms were clean and comfy and the amenities were above expectation, but the friendliness of the staff and location of the hotel made it feel more like a breathing part of the Knoxville experience. (As a CATS fan I wasn't expecting mutch, but I actually loved the city!!! Hats off to Knoxville) We would book here again without question.
The street noise at this hotel is outrageous! I travel a lot, and this is by far the most street noise I have ever experienced in a hotel. We were on the third floor and we might as well have been sleeping in the middle of the busy street that the room faced. I'm not talking a humming street noise. I'm talking individual cars revving their engines, loud trucks, etc. I had to sleep with earplugs and noise canceling headphones playing white noise to block it out. Other problems - I checked into one room online and upon arrival we were given a different room, which faced the street and was right outside the elevator and ice machine (never heard the elevator or ice machine over the street noise). It was red flag when they left ear plugs and a white noise machine on the nightstand. The room smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals when we checked in, the phone didn't work, the white noise machine didn't work, one of the queen beds squeaked every time you moved, one of the outlet plates in the bathroom had clearly been moved and there was only wall behind it. You could see where it used to be, where the drywall had been patched and there was only wall behind the new spot. Well, I tried to call the desk to change rooms, but the phone didn't work so I had to go back down to the desk. I was told that the room type I booked was fully sold out and that while they had a different room available, they couldn't move us to a different room type because I booked under room block for an event. The next day they offered to send maintenance, but to do what, I don't know. We were checking out early the next morning, so we just dealt with it. Never stay at this hotel unless you can fall asleep and stay asleep through extremely loud noise! The only things that were ok at this hotel were that there was good water pressure and the room seemed clean.
Chris went above and beyond to make our trip memorable and special! We had never been to Knoxville before and Chris gave us many tips as to places to go see and also food to eat! We have become a Knoxville lover and will be loyal to this particular hotel as well, in the future, as we love to travel! Five stars and a shoutout to Chris!
We stayed one night, June 18, 2026. The woman at check in, approx 4pm, was not front desk in personality. She was a person of few words. When asked questions, she simply did not know. The room was nice and clean, which is most important at a hotel. The breakfast likely would have been nice had it been warm, the coffee was drinkable. We were only driving through. If we visit Knoxville in the future we will seek out other accommodation.
Location in proximity to convention center is great. Staff has been friendly and accommodating! Very nice Hilton from room, common areas, and staff!
Chris was great. Very friendly and helpful.
The room was clean and the atmosphere was perfect. The pool not being open was a bummer but the breakfast and the quality of the room made up for it. Also Chris, at the front desk was very professional and sweet to talk to!
Chris was amazing at reception helped us with all our questions and complications
The people working were super sweet!!
We have been staying at the Hampton Downtown during our visits to Knoxville for several years now. This hotel is within walking distance of a lot of the attractions one would want to visit such as the World’s Fair Park, Volunteer Landing, Neyland Stadium, and Thompson-Boling Arena. The rooms and common areas are always clean and the complimentary breakfast is always good. Chris, Jacob, and all the staff are extremely helpful and very friendly. They make your stay as comfortable as possible. The only downside to staying here is the noise of the traffic on Henley Street at night (for some reason it seems to get louder at night) but there are sound machines provided to create some white noise. All in all, it’s a great place to stay and our go to when we visit Knoxville.
I had no problems at all. I’m fact, one stand out moment that I had was because of Darshawna. She was attending the breakfast area that morning and she was very helpful with everything that I needed. She help to make my experience there at that hotel an enjoyable one.
Chris at the front desk check in is friendly, considerate and super helpful. Wish him the best of luck in school!
I stayed at this hotel with my daughter while visiting UT from NH. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with kindness and warmth. Once Chris at the front desk found out we were there to tour UT, he went above and beyond to share about the area and the school. The next morning we were greeting by another amazing employee, Ebony. I loved talking to her about Knoxville, UT and restaurants in the area. I work in HR and these employees are 10 stars out of 5. They made me feel like a special guest even though I'm sure hundreds of guests walk through the doors. Once my daughter was accepted into UT, I went right online to book my stay!! I can't wait to see Chris and Ebony again. The breakfast choices were great and the whole facility is so clean (rooms, foyer, etc). You can tell that all of the employees take pride in the hotel and make sure that every guest has a great experience.
Great rooms! Workers are friendly. Also very clean!
Great service. Regina and Chris was very professional.
The location is in the middle of the city so it’s nice, the atmosphere is very comfortable and cozy, the rooms were clean and had everything accommodating that i could need. Chris was a very great help.
Chris was very good and upmost helpful
Friendly, nice, and very helpful.
Stayed two nights. Rooms and toilets are clean and the beds are comfortable. Had a good rest. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and provided great service. Kudos to Chris who was on shift for the days we were around.
Chris at the Hampton Inn & Suites Knoxville-Downtown was great. He was very polite, accommodating and sympathetic to our not so great stay at the Hampton Inn in KY. The rooms were clean, did have a weird smell in the room, but we got over that. The beds were alright. The location was great. Not too far off the interstate that you can't get back on in a hurry. The water pressure was great also. Breakfast was good also. Would recommend and stay here again. Noise level as long as we had the fan on we didnt hear much noise. The value, pretty good but sucked that we had to pay 30.00 to park. After driving all day and not getting in till 6:30 pm & left at 9am.
Chris was amazing. He was so accommodating and sweet. He made sure all my needs were met! And he’s a fellow Memphian! That explained it all! Kept a smile on his face too. And the location was so clean and welcoming. Clean rooms! I value customer service and hospitality. Chris his all my check marks. I appreciate him!
The staff are very friendly! They are always making sure you're having a good time. Chris was especially helpful as he gave us a list of attractions and places to eat. It's a great place!
Very pleasant stay. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. Chris at the front desk was very professional, courteous, and friendly. I would stay here again.
comfortable room
paying for parking and no nearby restaurants
Check in was super easy. Location is great. Staff team members are helpful and friendly!
What a lovely hotel. The room was clean, comfortable and in good repair. At check-in Chris was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast attendant, Darla, was friendly and so helpful. The breakfast area was clean and food kept fresh. What a lovely, relaxing experience.
Chris was very helpful talked me through the process to get a military discount.
Hotel staff is very kind. The rooms are nice as well.
All staff very helpful, especially Chris on reception. Very comfortable room.
Location was great. Front desk staff very friendly. Breakfast was good and well maintained.
The noise from street and from pets staying at the hotel was not ideal. They give you ear plugs which gives you an idea of the ongoing issue. Parking charge is high for the location as well.
Wow. Staff at Main Street Hampton Inn saved the day, and the night! We were stranded on I-40 at 11 pm on 5/15, in dire need of shelter and a solid repair service. It’s UT graduation weekend, so this hotel was jammed. Night staff was wonderful! Not only found room for us, but upon our arrival, had compiled a list of contacts for repairs. No luck with those vendors, so Reed came to our rescue (with assistance from David), helping with the car, taking to a shop, once we found the right place, courtesy of amazing Ebony! And had a road side service curtesy of Jeremy! (More about him in a sec). Yes, hotel was full, clean and welcoming, all you would hope for in a Hilton brand, but staff was incredible, going the extra mile with a smile, even though their plates were already overflowing. The team takes on the personality of the coach. Clearly, Jeremy has set the tone for exceptional hospitality and his teamwork is dream work.
Terribly loud and uncomfortable bed. Poor sleep.
Great
I wish the pool was open
It was close to everything! The people working made it SO much better!

We enjoyed our stay. Chris at the front desk was extremely helpful and went above and beyond for us.
Stayed the night here on a family trip, and we loved our experience! We were greeted by Chris who was super friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean and spacious, all the staff were very kind, and the complementary breakfast was top tier! The location was also very good, we were able to walk most everywhere downtown from the hotel pretty easily! And the free cookies in the lobby were a nice touch. We loved our stay here.
The whole staff was very nice. Special shout out to Chris, who was very accommodating and went above and beyond to assist with parking for our extra large vehicle.
First off, everyone here has been so friendly. Front desk people gave great recommendations of things to do and places to see, even took the extra time to find a resale shop I was wanting to visit. Chris, who checked us in, was awesome, and very knowledgeable. Overall a great place to stay.
Chris was extremely helpful and pleasant. He made our stay superb.
We were in town Friday pm for TN baseball! We spent the night and went to a family event Saturday morning. The room saved us 3 hours of car time! We loved having a cool clean place to rest and relax between events!
Personally, it’s been a great experience. Chris was great.
I had to arrange a reservation for my son who was picking up his little sister at UT, using my cc. After a challenging experience with Marriott, I called this Hilton property, and Chris at the front desk was incredibly helpful and accommodated my request perfectly. I am a Hilton gold member and a customer for life. Always have great experiences at Hilton and am especially grateful to Chris for his kindness and professionalism.
Super nice staff. Clean and felt safe for my daughter and I to travel and stay alone. Very comfortable and good location within walking distance of the theater.
It was noisy but they provide a noise machine and it is downtown so that is to be expected.
The location was great for our needs. The hotel was very clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast had lots of options and was very good.
Paying for parking
Had such a great stay! Great location And amazing staff. Chris was the best!
Perfect location to walk to Neyland for a concert! The rooms are spacious and bed was so comfy! The best part (besides the concert!) was the amazing Chris at the front desk! He was friendly and helpful and just took our experience to a higher level! Thank you for your help during our stay!!
The room was very clean. Friendly check in staff. The bed was very comfortable.
Staff was amazing, helpful informative and kind. Room was great and great location for downtown Knoxville
Wonderful experience. Chris B. was great. Very professional.
Great help at front desk very personal with everyone and greets everyone when they enter the building
We had a great stay at Hamden Inn and would absolutely give it five stars. The staff really stood out—they were consistently friendly, helpful, and made a point to greet us both when we arrived and when we headed out. That kind of warmth made the whole experience feel welcoming from start to finish. Our room was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We were on the front side of the building, which gave us some nice views. That said, if you’re a light sleeper, you might want to request a room toward the back or away from the street to minimize noise. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here. If we’re back in the area, we’ll definitely be staying again.
The location was ideal for its proximity to the convention center for a conference I attended. It’s within walking distance to campus and downtown, although it is easier to drive to some other locations. The parking situation is ideal and the piece of mind is worth the $30. Chris was very informative and eager to help with anything I had questions about. They offered a fan for the room so that I could be more comfortable. There’s plenty of snacks available and breakfast offers many healthy and traditional options, such as Greek yogurt, cereals, hot breakfast, and fruit. I would recommend staying here if you are visiting the area for business or travel.
Ebony and Chris were the best front desk people I have experienced in a long time. They were very nice and helpful. Next time I come to Knoxville I will stay here again.
Great stay for one night! Chris was very helpful and kind throughout my stay, would recommend.
Staff were very friendly
Great overall experience. Just around the corner from the conventional center. The hotel staff was really great.
Breakfast was okay. Room was nice and spacious. Staff was fantastic and always checking to see if we needed anything.
Parking was a little steep. I received a notice that it would be $25 per day but when I arrived I was charged $30 per day. Shower door was a little strange that it didn't close. Had to put a towel near the opening to prevent water from getting all over the floor. (Room 614)
We stayed in room 203 and had great service! Front desk service was great and the breakfast bar was ok. Loved the cleanliness of the room, and smelled very good and welcoming! The housekeeper was very nice too. Really noisy!
breakfast was great! staff was excellent, kept food full and was very nice. Grounds were clean and hotel was clean as well. front desk staff was very helpful.
Room was very noisy. some from inside the hotel, other guests, but mostly traffic noise. Prices online didn't say anything about pay to park, when I asked I was told $25 per night, but was billed $30.
En general todo bien
It was a nice hotel. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. It was close to downtown.
The pool was pretty much permanently closed (pool was supposed to be a selling point) the “fix” was for us to pay $10 at the Y. The road noise was horrible. It felt like all the loud cars/trucks and motorcycles were in our room. It made it hard to relax/sleep. I doubt we would stay here again even though the staff was great.
Great location, friendly staff, good breakfast and comfy a super clean room.
Very clean! Comfortable beds, great breakfast!
Nothing
I want to express my deepest gratitude to Ebony for her exceptional kindness and assistance during my stay. I had a disappointing experience at a previous Hilton location in Boston, but Ebony made this trip much easier and more enjoyable. She really went out of her way to help me out and make sure I was happy here.
Nice location, underground parking, clean rooms, and friendly service. Chris and Jacob were very welcoming and check in was easy.
Had a great stay. Chris was awesome with his hospitality and being able to provide food recommendations
Wonderful service that led me to a great restaurant.Clean establishment.
The room was very clean, the shower was great, and the bed was super comfortable. The location is perfect—about a 10 minute walk to the University of Tennessee campus and right in the heart of downtown Knoxville, which made everything really convenient. Chris at the front desk was amazing—he was very informative about local amenities and the university, and he was also extremely friendly and welcoming. Overall, such a great stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel and come back!
This is my second time staying here for work and both times Chris has been more than helpful! He’s great with guests and also the other hotel staff! I found my place to stay while in Knoxville!
I love them so much well good people make sure you have everything you need when you ask and make sure you feel like you are home. I would definitely recommend them.
The hotel is moderate. It is not a five star hotel and there is no bar or restaurant in the lobby, but it’s clean and pretty. The restrooms are fantastic..
Customer service was top notch! This isn’t my first stay here but as always it’s been great. Chris was exceptionally great getting us towels, pillows and etc
