Very convenient to our concert. Within the same block.
The price of valet parking was jacked up because of the concert, inappropriate in my opinion because the cost of parking was on their website as one price but turned out to be much more. Also my vehicle was ransacked and the contents of my glove box and center console were left on the front seat. I complained and a month later, after a couple follow-ups I was refunded.
Convenience and location. This was my second stay there this year.
When I first checked in, my room had a weird smell to it. I mentioned it to the front desk. When I came back from parking my car, she stopped me and said she had personally gone to the room and sprayed air freshener. I appreciated her going that extra mile to make the room enjoyable.
Location was perfect. Room was a great size. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Room could use a little refresh. Sink did not train quickly and shower door kept opening on it's on. Valet parking was ridiculously expenisve
Parking was super expensive
no easy parking, valet is $45.00 and not included in room. coffee was good but was put away to early. location of front desk was confusing and the staff was not welcoming.
I liked that it was in the heart of downtown
I didn’t like the parking price
Everyone we encountered was very accommodating and made our visit very easy. The room was very clean and spacious. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was above and beyond delicious with many options. Location was super convenient to everything and more.
Fantastic friendly staff
Front desk staff were friendly and helpful.
The location
I enjoyed a lot sleeping there the bed was so comfortable, the entire hotel was very clean, the staff so friendly, and I specially liked the terrace, the drinks are great and the view is nice. I want to add the building is stunning
I was out of coffee on my room the first day, I thought someone from the staff might come in to clean my room and re fill coffee and tea but no one cleaned my room on the 3 nights I stayed, it's not that bad, I would just have liked to have more coffee
Disappointed. For a higher end hotel with prices to match, it was ridiculous to have in room thermostats with a motion sensor to toggle the AC off! To make it worse, the thermostat is placed between the beds and a short pony wall so that it was blocked from "seeing motion". Cutting corners on AC when we paid for two nights more than a monthly car payment is atrocious. The $119/night Comfort Inn on the trip to Knoxville had cold AC with no sensor. Returning to a hot room from being out in the heat during the day is unacceptable. The parking garage a bit of a walk as well. They should offer a free golf cart shuttle at least or you are stuck paying valet. The sheets were stiff and uncomfortable as well.
Adja was delightful to work with. She made our stay at the Hyatt one of the best we have ever had in Knoxville. We will be returning just for her service.
Location
Next door to TN THEATRE with several good restaurants in walking distance. Great breakfast options. Starbucks store connected. Rooms are spacious and clean.
This is our second stay at Hyatt Place, mainly for the location which is front and center to all downtown shopping and activities! Hotel includes a well appointed breakfast, valet parking and access to Market Street! Will stay again whenever in Knoxville…highly recommended!
Excellent location and very clean
Great Hyatt location downtown Knoxville close to great dining, shopping, walking, university, art district, etc. Staff was wonderful, hotel is very nice, clean, and quiet.
Great location, nice and clean, and spacious rooms. Comfy beds too! Our room keeper Laura was amazing. Would definitely stay here again!
Great hotel. Great location and friendly staff. Laura was an exceptional employee who was extremely helpful.
Close to downtown. Plenty to see.
No microwave in the room, lobby was dark.
Lovely historic hotel. Friendly and accommodating staff. Even late at night, they responded right away when we realized our a/c was not functioning well and immediately gave us a new room. Very nice continental breakfast with a beautiful historic dining area/lobby. Very nice stay.
Clean and well organized downtown location. Very safe feeling. Great walking distance to good pubs and restaurants.
Broader options to eat at roof top bar. But excellent roof top bar!
Close to everything. Beds were really comfortable
Laura in housekeeping was very helpful
Nice hotel but service was terrible. Was not told the valet they contracted with charged $50 per night. I should not have been charged as a WOH globalist. Had to call to get refund when I saw a charge on my credit card. Front desk receptionist must have been having a terrible day because she barely said two things to me -- license and here is your key. No greeting at all. Roof top bar not very busy. Great atmosphere but let down by the horrible service. Hostess referred to me and my daughter as "those people" and despite multiple servers and a not very busy night did not get acknowledged at all for 20 minutes so we left and went elsewhere. AM breakfast is what you would get at an airport hotel. Hotel overall is nice, clean, good location but would not stay here again.
Perfect location
Beautiful, clean, wonderful staff. It’s in the middle of down town so everything is walkable. Had such a wonderful weekend!
Laura was very kind and helpful
Excellent service, very professional
Location was excellent, staff was amazing and the rooftop bar, off the hook. What a view!!
Great stay. Laura was very helpful getting our bedding at late arrival. She handled everything we needed. We would stay there again for sure.
Our experience was wonderful! The hotel environment is so cozy and the staff is very helpful. We were particularly found of Mrs. Laura who was very kind to us!
We were in town for a wedding & Laura was super helpful accommodating for us during our stay. She willingly offered to bring us extra pillows and towels without us asking!
Laura was amazing, so kind and helpful!! we will be back!
It was right on downtown. It was roomy.

Great location and friendly staff

too many animals.
The location was superb
Actually I stayed at a Laquita in Loudon, TN the night before and it was cleaner, had twice the number and bigger fluffier towels, had really nice toiletries and a wonderful complimentary breakfast . The hyatt didn’t even have a front desk - it was weird as people trying to check in git bunched up in the lobby while other people were trying to get out is the hotel. These is no parking with this hotel and they wanted $47 per night for valet parking .
Close to every thing
Perfect location
Monica at the front desk went over and beyond to be helpful when our door dash dinner didn't get delivered. We had a great stay!
Great front desk service. Parking wasn’t the easiest but great location.
The hotel itself is in a great spot in downtown Knoxville. Easy walk to tons of bars and restaurants and a movie theater and other activities. Check-in was easy. Room is decent, good seating area and good bathroom with zero-entry shower. The pillows are way, way too soft. We decided to head up to the rooftop spot, the Five-Thirty Lounge one night. The views are great and we had a good breeze up there on an otherwise hot day. Not sure if this joint is actually associated with the hotel or not. If not, sorry to put this here. The bartender was great; friendly, helpful. Went out of his way. The waitresses - no. In fact, one was quite rude. Here's the deal - it shouldn't matter where you sit on an open balcony were food is available. If a patron is sitting there, ask if they need something. We waited 30 minutes and finally had to go inside to inquire about food - from the bartender. The waitresses wouldn't serve us...because...we were sitting at a fire pit table and not one of the smaller tables. WHAT? When we finally did get food, the brisket bites and charcuterie was good. But holy cow. This place also has a Starbucks in the lobby.
Upon arrival, on our way to our room we were greeted by Laura! To start off with having someone so kind and willing to give assistance sent us off to the best start. 5 stars and more if I could!
Fantastic experience overall! Great service especially for Laura, Anthony, Ayda, and Eden.
The hotel and staff was great. Andra, JC (bartender on main floor) the guy that makes the Eddy, Anthony, Laura and the culinary staff were great! This was a welcoming experience. Housekeeping in the room was great as well when I arrived.
We had a spectacular experience for our team retreat! The staff was absolutely amazing and welcoming. CJ, Laura, Eden, Anthony, and Adya were so helpful and took great care of us.
Laura kept the conference area so nice & clean, Anthony provided fast & friendly valet, and Eden & Adya got our group checked in quickly and early!
We had an amazing time. Laura, Adya, Eden, and Anthony did such a fantastic job taking care of our team and the space that we were in for our meeting.
Laura, Eden, Anthony, Adya are all wonderful people and made the experience great!
Excellent hotel in a fantastic location. The property was clean, staff was friendly, breakfast and fitness facilities were excellent. I would 100% recommend this hotel and will be staying again.
Great staff. House keeper Laura was so friendly and helped us through the elevator and enhanced our stay!
Laura is awesome and is there for you if you need anything at all Amazing stay
Staff, hotel, and location are fantastic. Right on the main street of Knoxville and within walking distance of anything you'd need. There is a Starbucks in the hotel but also encourage you to try the other coffee places in the area (Mahalo is our favorite) Also treat yourself to a drink on the rooftop lounge at the hotel for a fantastic view of the city. We were there to go see The Smoky Mountains National Park which are about an hour away. The room was quiet, spacious, and we barely heard any noise from our neighbors. Breakfast is included and there are plenty of spots on unwind in the lobby. Special shout out to Adja and CJ who made our stay memorable. When we return to Knoxville this is the only hotel we will stay at!
Laura was amazing. Kept the place clean.
Anthony is a great asset to the organization. He pays special attention to the customer experience. Great stay at Hyatt and a great valet parking experience for the week!
We came to Knoxville to live our daughter into her new apartment and chose the Hyatt for its location to her new home. I could not have been happier, after arriving fully exhausted after a 14 hour ride we were met by the extraordinary and attentive valet, Anthony, and then at the front desk by Rodrigo who welcomed us warmly and facilitated check in so we could get some rest. We arrived at our room and without asking our preferences made online of being by the elevator as well as our request for additional pillows were automatically fulfilled. After settling into our room we came downstairs and while my husband went out onto the outside patio, I stopped at the bar to grab us some drinks. The bartender Cam went out of her way to make sure my husband had his drink of choice and as we are talking about the bartenders, Joseph, whom we met the following night could not have been more personable or gracious. We spent time each day out in the front patio area and had the chance to interact with as well as observe the valet staff. Anthony is just outstanding. He is attentive, patient and is a fantastic individual to the the first impression patrons have when they arrive and the last impression they have when they check out and drive away. We also were able to observe Walker, Collin and Chris, all of whom were professional and courteous however Anthony was far and above in his delivery of customer service. My husband and I are very much looking forward to our next stay at the Hyatt. Thank you for assembling such a great team.
Good location on gay street - access to nearby restaurants/shops etc. Nice spacious rooms and complimentary breakfast. Good value for money
Great location. Loved the rooftop. The room was above expectation. The bathroom was large and clean. The room was large and comfortable.
Most amazing breakfast in the lobby and extremely friendly staff
After a few disappointing hotel experiences during our USA trip, arriving at Hyatt Place Knoxville Downtown felt like someone had finally restored my faith in hospitality. From the moment we walked through the doors, the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. Every member of the team genuinely seemed pleased you were there—a refreshing change from hotels where you feel like you've interrupted someone's day simply by checking in. Then there was Room 828. If you're lucky enough to be offered this corner room, take it. The views looking down Knoxville's main street are absolutely fantastic. Day or night, it's one of those rooms where you find yourself standing by the window just watching the city below. It's bright, spacious, quiet and exactly what you hope for when booking a city hotel. The valet parking deserves a mention too. Quick, friendly and efficient. Hand over the keys, head inside and forget about the car. That's exactly how valet parking should work. Location? You couldn't ask for better. Step outside and you're within easy walking distance of countless bars, restaurants and everything downtown Knoxville has to offer. And if you're visiting on a Tuesday evening, Market Square comes alive with fantastic live jazz. Sitting outside with a drink while listening to talented musicians in the warm Tennessee evening is one of those travel memories that stays with you long after you've flown home. Unlike some hotels that promise luxury and deliver mediocrity, Hyatt Place simply gets the basics absolutely right. ✔ Friendly staff who genuinely care. ✔ Spotlessly clean rooms. ✔ Comfortable beds. ✔ Superb location. ✔ Excellent valet service. ✔ Fantastic city views. No gimmicks. No excuses. Just a brilliantly run hotel that understands exactly what guests want. If we ever return to Knoxville, we won't even bother looking elsewhere. We'll simply book Room 828 again and start looking forward to Tuesday night in Market Square. Final verdict: ★★★★★ Hyatt Place Knoxville Downtown—proof that hospitality isn't complicated. Treat your guests well, employ great people and deliver what you promise. This hotel does exactly that.
Fantastic location! Walking distance to everything we wanted. Clean, comfy and super friendly staff
Great location, walk to restaurants.
The people were very nice. It was clean and in the heart of everything. The breakfast and Starbucks was great. There was plenty of restaurants and also a small market close by so food wasn’t a problem.
This wasn’t something that they can improve but the valet parking isn’t needed. There is a parking garage behind the hotel which is free on the weekends or $7 a day.
The front desk was very accommodating
Having to leave
Absolutely love the location of this hotel! It was easy to access everything in downtown and walk everywhere we wanted to go. The room was spacious and very clean. My only complaint is the parking because you either had to do valet parking or park yourself and walk three blocks.
Best shower for the past 2 weeks on tour
We looked everything
This historical hotel in downtown checks all the boxes-location, helpful staff, and convenient breakfasts. It's moments away from the heart of downtown with several, if not many, delicious restaurants and movie theaters. The lobby is connected to Starbucks, and breakfast is included, making mornings simple. The front desk and valet staff were excellent.

Incredible stay. Very clean and hospitable. Laura the housekeeper went above and beyond to make sure our place was clean and we had everything we need.
Fantastic hotel, Laura was very helpful!
We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The pictures online are exactly what it looks like. The lobby is beautiful and the location is superior for walking around downtown. State Street parking garage is directly behind the hotel and very easy to get in and out of. No need to pay for valet parking. Colin works the Valet at the entrance of the hotel and he is extremely friendly, even though we didn't use valet parking. He greeted us everytime we entered the hotel with a smile and asked us what we did for the day, and even offered suggestions. Jenny in housekeeping brought us extra pillows and offered to get us anything else we needed and was super friendly. We were disappointed a bit in the breakfast offerings but what they had was well stocked and it was very clean. Do not pay extra for the upper level room! We did and there was nothing superior to it. We were there for July 4th and wanted views. We walked in the room and the view was of a brick wall. I went down to the front desk and asked why we paid for a higher up room to be looking at a Brick wall. They did change our room and we had a better view, although I don't think it was worth the extra cost. What I appreciate is the two queen beds and the pullout couch for extra space.
Super clean atmosphere! The Valet was very effortless and my valet Collin was very fast and nice! Loved my time here, definitely recommend!
I used the valet during my visit and had a great experience. The hotel was organized, friendly, and very helpful. The valet Brian was very kind and helped me with baggage and directions for dinner.
Wonderful downtown location, plenty of restaurants available. Conventient breakfast buffet available. Parking can be a problem, although valet parking is offered.

Clean, comfortable, and a great location.
Slightly odd smell in the room. Probably just due to it being a historic building. Not enough to stop me from staying there again. And I’m someone very sensitive to smells.
We had a great time here! I have a feather allergy and the bedding and pillows are feather. I called and asked for non feather bedding and our housekeeper Laura had the pillow and bedding up to our room in about 10 minutes. She was so kind. This hotel also sits in the middle of downtown and is walking distance of many restaurants and shops. We got out and just walked around on Saturday afternoon and it was so nice!
Location/fivethirty
I cannot emphasize what a great Hyatt this is. I stay exclusively at Hyatt brand hotels and resorts and this one is such a tremendous value. The customer service, the lobby is impeccable. Room was clean and everything in working order. Our room this stay even overlooked Gay street which was fun. Very walkable area— walked to dinner and drinks and shop and topped it off at the rooftop. Being from Nashville, rooftop bars are nothing new but this one has to be one of the biggest I’ve ever seen— with great views and two outdoor spaces! To top it all off the breakfast and coffee are really solid. Highly highly recommend a stay here. Will be back for sure.
WONDERFUL- HIGHLY RECOMMEND The welcome was so kind and professional, and it was easy peasy process. They reached out ahead of the date to let us know about early check in and late check out which was great infor that we took advantage of, of course :0) The lobby was beautiful and super clean. The room was also very clean and nice, bathroom as well and love the water pressure in the shower, like getting a massage :) They included breakfast, which had great selections, great food. The roof top deck was also very nice and great place to relax and see the city from a high view. Its centrally located and lots of fun places to visit and eat, just a few steps away. Its pet friendly, and our little Cavapoo was loved on by the staff and everyone :) Its reasonably priced and I highly recommend. We will visit again for sure
Adja and Emily were unbelievably helpful and professional. 10 out of 10.
Everyone was very friendly. The vocation of downtown was perfect. It was close to everything.
Nothing
Hyatt Place in Knoxville was really made our vacation perfect. They are located in the center of town and have every amenity you’d need. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Can’t recommend enough.
Laura was great and very helpful during our stay!
My family and I stayed at they Hyatt Place as we passed through Knoxville and had a great experience. Emily at the front desk personified southern hospitality by checking us in a bit early, providing recommendations for how to get around town, suggestions for places to see, and even took time during her break to research where we could catch some family-friendly live music. The hotel was perfectly located on Gay Street within the theater district and right next to tons of restaurants and bars (and a couple blocks from market square) and it was nicely renovated with an excellent rooftop restaurant and bar with great views of the city. Thanks to the Hyatt Place and to Emily for making our stay a wonderful experience.
CJ is the absolute best! The hotel itself was great, but CJ completely stole the show. Her customer service is next level. From the moment we arrived, she was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and attentive to everything we needed. It’s rare to find people who genuinely care about your experience like she does. Thank you, CJ, for making our Knoxville trip so memorable!
We had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt! The hotel was spotless, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and welcoming from check-in to check-out (especially Emily!). The location made it easy to get to everything we wanted to do, and the amenities were well maintained. We especially appreciated how clean the property was and how comfortable the beds were after long days out. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on our next trip. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Place Downtown Knoxville! The location couldn't have been better. We were attending an event at the convention center and were able to walk there in just a few minutes. We also enjoyed exploring Market Square, where we found great coffee shops, restaurants, and a delicious lunch—all within easy walking distance. One helpful tip for future guests: we parked for free in the Clinch Street garage, which offers free weekend parking, and it was a very short walk to the hotel. The complimentary breakfast exceeded our expectations with plenty of options each morning. Having a Starbucks attached to the hotel was incredibly convenient for grabbing coffee before heading out for the day. Most importantly, the staff was fantastic—friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with recommendations or questions. Between the excellent location, comfortable accommodations, great breakfast, and outstanding service, we would absolutely stay here again the next time we're in Knoxville.
We traveled with our family of 4 to this Hyatt place for a gymnastics meet. The location is superb and the staff is super friendly. Breakfast was the same as any other Hyatt so not great but good enough. Our room was gigantic, and we were pleasantly surprised to have a lot of room to spread out. We would definitely stay here again. Parking at the city garage right behind the hotel was much cheaper and actually free because it was a weekend.
Stated with hubby on the way to NC beach. Great location in the heart of all the action downtown. . Roof top bar amazing but… super pricey. No prices on menu. We got 2 cocktails and 1 beer and it was almost $60! And the cocktails were not that great. Lobby was nice and our room was very clean . Breakfast was not very good. You get your food/ drinks in a little bitty room which is not adequate for the Saturday morning rush. Food ok but the berry fruit was nasty looking! Would return again!
Room size and location.
Valet cost.
Great stay overall! Special thanks to Caleb at the front desk for being so welcoming, friendly, and accommodating with our requests. He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and appreciated. Excellent customer service and a great first impression of the hotel. Thank you, Caleb!
Location
The valet parking was messy. In that we had not checked out, but the app no longer allowed s to request our car. A big annoyance. Fir the cost, they shouldn't annoy us. BTW, the acts vallet staff were great.
Very clean, everyone was nice. Would recommend to anyone
The pillows were not the best but not like a deal breaker
Perfect location! I was traveling alone, and, felt very very safe! I didn’t have breakfast, but, the coffee was excellent.
I was charged for water that I thought was complimentary,
Easy to get to smokies games.
Rood too bar and proximity to city
Noisy
Absolutely wonderful and clean. It was so conveniently located in the downtown area that we never had to drive anywhere. It literally felt like we were at a resort with all the businesses and restaurants right out the front door.
Loved everything.
