Le bruit de l’appartement juste au dessus - insupportable a un certain moment. Également, devoir se balader avec des bagages lourds entre l’hôtel et l’appartement (2 pâtés de maisons plus loin), c’est décevant.

Beliggenhet, Takterrassen, Servicen, Rent, ryddig og moderne. Det hele var designet og bygget med stil inn i de gamle byggene som har stått der i århundrer. Nydelig by, god mat og vennlige Italienere. Torneremo sicuramente l`anno prossimo.

Proximity to the centre

Roof smelt damp and musty. Told reception on the morning of day 2 and they did nothing. Also roof top bar you could only sit in certain seats as they are all reserved by outside customers.

The apartment is very spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. The staff is also very nice.

I didn’t like that the refrigerator power and air conditioning were all off when we arrived to the room. It took quite a while to get cool. We also had a lot of sand or gritty material in our sheets despite not going anywhere near sand.

Hotel moderno, instalaciones remodeladas y recepción 24 hrs que genera mucha comodidad. Nos guardaron las maletas y nos llamaron un taxi a la salida. El desayuno muy rico, completo y a buen precio. Tiene un rooftop muy lindo arriba pero nos tocó un clima fatal que no nos permitió disfrutarlo.

Algunas incomodidades fueron el aire acondicionado, muy difícil de regular y terminamos con un resfrío importante. La ubicación si bien es central, está a 12 minutos caminando de la plaza, normalmente eso estaría perfecto pero con la ola de calor no era tan conveniente.

Etre bien accueillies à l'hotel à notre arrivée. Très bonne situation près du centre historique. Chambre très chouette avec dressing séparé mais pas assez de rangements et penderies pour les vetements. J'ai vu des chambres qui avaient une petite terrasse, leurs prix est-il plus élévé que les nôtres ( ch 210 et 212) Très beau rooftop. Bon petit déjeuner très bien arrangé.

Fantastic location, walking distance to all attractions and everything in old town.

I was pleasantly surprised with the room. It's about a 15-20 walk from the Centrale station which isn't bad if you are packing light. If you have bigger luggage it may feel like a trek esp in the heat. The center is right around the corner. Bologna is small so it's pretty easy to walk around. The room is nice and modern as it's the bathroom. They have a different area for your luggage which was really nice with a full length mirror. Water pressure is great. The ac works great. The bed and pillows are comfortable and it's quiet so you aren't bothered by noise.

Camera davvero bella , purtroppo non mi è piaciuto trovare i lavandini all’ingresso della camera inoltre nel bagno dove ci sono WC e bidet non c’erano ne saponi ne detergenti. Richiesti il primo giorno e mi sono stati portati. Dopo la pulizia del secondo giorno non sono stati riforniti.

The hotel was located in an excellent area of the city. We were steps away from one of the main shopping streets. Rooms were very nice and modern. We stayed in one of the apartments’. It was awesome. Finally, the rooftop was what was expected, glorious.

From the time we booked the hotel areas was very responsive and helpful. I asked for a few things due to my husband’s health issues and they went above and beyond! He loved the tub with jets so that he could soak his legs after walking during the day. We asked for a refrigerator for his medications. Although the room already had one, they installed an additional one that was not hooked up to the key card and would stay in all the time. WOW! What service! They really went the extra mile for us as guests. The room and facilities were all clean and lovely. The room was spacious with a couch and desk, and stocked refrigerator (food and drinks for purchase). The breakfast room was a nice option. I was hesitant to pay €15/day pp but there was such an array of foods to choose from that we chose to eat there each morning. The young ladies working breakfast each were so delightful it was a pleasure seeing them each morning. They provided the best dining service we’ve experienced in all of Italy. After one day they remembered your taste and made sure you had everything you wanted. The location is perfect. It’s on a side street so there is no noise at all. It’s not far from the train station (maybe 5-7 min ride, €9-10). Because we planned excursions to neighboring towns this was a great location. And yet it is only about a ten minute walk to the main Piazza. Their dinner recommendations were superb!!

The apartment was a bit of a hassle to get to from checking in at the hotel - the hotel was clear about this but I think I underestimated the distance and dragging our bags.

The Hotel Metropolitan was a delight. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and informative. The hallways and rooms were clean and decorated with art from all over the world. The location afforded access to a variety of restaurants, shops, landmarks, and community events. The hotel's rooftop cafe provided a lovely view of Bologna, along with efficient service and free snacks with drinks. The morning front desk manager, Anita, allowed us into the breakfast buffet prior to its actual opening so we could have breakfast in time to make our respective flights and called a taxi on our behalf. The food was excellent and presented in an enticing manner. I'll stay there again if I ever have the good fortune to return to Bologna.

We stayed in The Met Apartment and it was absolutely FANTASTIC! We went to the hotel (two roads away but still extremely close) where we checked in and received our key cards to the apartment. A lovely member of staff walked us to the door and explained how everything worked. The apartment had twin beds in one room (at our request) and a double bed in the open plan living area. It had all necessary equipment for a fabulous stay. The air conditioning was working perfectly and kept us cool in the 40 degree heat outside. The hotel also hosts a lovely roof top bar which we used and enjoyed very much. We would definitely recommended this hotel and would stay again.

The lobby and breakfast areas were beautiful, the room was comfortable, and the rooftop bar had wonderful service and views. The lobby staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, as well!

The water wasn't always hot in the shower, but I understand that can be that way sometimes, so not a huge deal for me.

We stayed at the Hotel Metropolitan for 5 nights in July 2026. The hotel and service is excellent and all members of staff were charming. The room we had was perfect, very clean and good facilities, with efficient and much needed air conditioning. It is centrally located and so perfect for a sightseeing trip to the city.

Another fantastic stay! This is our second time at this hotel. Location is perfect. The staff is lovely and housekeeping is excellent. The breakfast is very very good. We travel a lot and you can tell that their chef really cares not only about the quality of the food, but the presentation as well. Emilin (sp?). At Breakfast couldn’t have been nicer and made us excellent café lattes with cute drawings and messages on them. Next time I would book a junior suite because the rooms are on the smaller side. Also, if you get a chance go up to the rooftop bar. Fantastic views.

Went for a night in Bologna. Great location, with rooftop bar & convenient to restaurants and shops.

The hotel and its staff were fine but my room was mediocre at best. It was extremely small and dark, and the windows were covered by shutters that didn’t open. The bathroom was tiny and oddly shaped. The towels were on a shelf high over the toilet and almost impossible to reach. There was nowhere to place toiletries. The hairdryer was attached to a wall near the door and just barely stretched to where you could see in the mirror. Luckily, I was busy from morning to night because I didn’t want to spend any time in that room.

We liked the rooftop bar and Julio, who looked after us on two occasions was excellent. He was attentive and helpful and also knowledgeable about the wine and other drinks. The staff at breakfast were also very good and helpful and the breakfast buffet was very good with plenty of choice

There was a smell as you entered our room, number 5 in the apartments. Thankfully it did not linger in the room but was there every day. We did report it.

Can we start with the breakfast? Probably the best breakfast I've had in a hotel & I suppose in the gastronomical capital of Italy I shouldn't be surprised. Pistachio cream, cappuccino, lox, delicious breakfast meats. I could go on forever about the breakfast & I also appreciated that we could fill our water bottles using the cold water machine in the breakfast room at any time of day. This hotel is in a great location right off of Via dell'Indipendenza (a big shopping street under porticos), 1 block away from Mo Mortadella lab and a 6 minute walk from Piazza Maggiore. The rooftop bar & its views are enchanting, we had a mini fridge in the room & nice cold air conditioning. The room decor was quite modern and felt new and clean. Some tips: Always make a right onto Indipendenza bc it's the nicer area and eat at Ristorante Diana & Mo Mortadella Lab 2 minutes away. I highly recommend this hotel!

La ubicación es perfecta. Las habitación es amplia, así como el cuarto de baño. En mi caso, tenía un pequeña terraza muy agradable. El desayuno estaba muy bien, pero no tiene tanta variedad como había leído. Todo muy rico. La decoración muy actual y moderna. Las personas en recepción muy amables.

Si vas en coche es complicado entrar, y tienes que pagar parking aparte. En el desayuno no te dejan tostar pan, solo el de molde!!!! La planta 5ª es muy bonita, pero mucho más pequeña de lo que parece en las fotos,

The balcony was dirty and not as expected.

The hotel was ideal for my trip to Bologna for WDS. The location was excellent for sightseeing, the apartment was quiet and comfortable after long show days, and the equipped kitchen was very useful, even though in practice we mostly made good coffee and enjoyed wonderful Chinese food from the restaurant just across the road. It was also very important for me that the floor was tiled rather than carpeted, because in the summer heat it gave the dogs a cool place to rest. The air conditioning worked well, the bathroom and kitchen equipment were modern, and it really felt more like staying in a calm private apartment than in a crowded hotel.

The only real difficulty was that central Bologna has very few grassy areas or convenient dog-walking spots nearby. For a quick early-morning walk before the show, or a late-evening walk afterwards, the nearest suitable park was a bit too far. Also, because we were not staying on the ground floor, I had to carry show equipment up and down every day, although this was manageable and the dogs were perfectly happy using the elevator

This hotel, was in a great location, very clean and modern. And I can’t say enough about the rooftop bar, the staff is great (Golio was the best!). And it was fabulous to unwind at the end of the day with beautiful views.

We were steps from the main street Via dell'Indipendenza which contained lovely shops and restaurants and had the station at one end and the main Piazza (and restaurant/food shop neighborhood) at the other. All very walkable and beneficial for our 2 day stay. The very spacious room had a wonderful private balcony, overlooking picturesque rooftops. Very helpful staff and exceptional breakfast buffet!

Maybe instructions on how to work the shower/jacuzzi tub? But really nothing needed for improvement.

Cosy rooftop bar with excellent cocktails served alongside complimentary snacks. Attentive service and a relaxed atmosphere. A great spot to unwind and enjoy the view.

Zimmer hat nicht den wow Effekt hervor gerufen. War eher sehr einfach und schlicht…. für fast 300€ / Nacht. Viel kunstleder und Platic. Wurden mit den schönen Fotos geblendet. Frühstücksraum hatte alles aber extrem enge verhälnisse. Die Angestellten haben einen super Job grmacht.

Could not open curtains as we looked directly into a house just 19m across the road.

In apartment 5 min from hotel; staff person in charge of guiding us there was rude, did not wait, so 2 in party got lost on the way. Then confronted with manager this person lied to cover his actions.

The room is lovely, and the balcony was a nice bonus. The breakfast was excellent.

The elevator is very slow.

All the staff was super friendly and very helpful with our stroller. We could leave it at the reception and take it whenever we needed it! The hotel is right in the centre and we could walk everywhere and reach our destinations within 10-15 minutes!

Location is so easy to walk to the food district, the bus stop, the markets or the station. The breakfast is exceptional and so are the girls in the breakfast restaurant. The next best thing is the rooftop bar views! Aldo is an absolute credit, his level of service and attention to detail was outstanding. The two young gentlemen who checked us in and out, were also so helpful and polite!

The first cleaning service attended, not only touched the suitcases, but put stuff we had taken out, back in, zipped the bags and moved them within the room. I was so surprised to have had our bags moved and touched, and there was no door hanger to say “please don’t disturb” to communicate with the cleaning service. I did speak with the on duty staff, whilst made a note about no service for a couple of days, she didn’t seem to take any notice of the reasoning why.

Avevo la necessità di anticipare il check-in e di lasciare il mio bagaglio, così Mario e Andrea mi hanno dato la possibilità di effettuare la registrazione in mattinata e di affidarlo alla struttura finché la camera non sarebbe stata pronta, rispondendo appieno alle mie esigenze. Ho apprezzato molto anche il tempo speso per fornirmi alcune indicazioni di cui avevo bisogno. Lo straconsiglio, in primis per l’accoglienza, è importante :) Giulia

Camera singola davvero piccola e con una finestra che dava in un cavedio con l motori dell’aria condizionata dove non arriva nemmeno un po si luce, da tenere chiusa sempre per cui è come avere ina stanza senza finestre. Lo stesso per la finestra del bagno.

The junior Suite was in a inside yard with a small sitting out area. The room was very quiet considering it was in the middle of the city. The room was comfortable, but there was no real cupboard. The bathroom was large and well appointed. The breakfast buffet had a good selection and the service was quick and efficient. The hotel is around 15 minutes from the train Station, and five minutes from the centre of town.

Considering the room was a Junior Suite, a cupboard and a sofa would have been expected.

Perfect location, wonderful staff, fabulous breakfast and lovely room terrace.

I had the most amazing experience at this suitably located central hotel in Bologna. It’s a modern and sleek boutique hotel surrounded by all the beautiful architecture of the historic city. All the tourist spots, restaurants, bars, convenience stores, and hidden gems are within walking distance. The Central train station is an easy 10 min walk. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful. I truly appreciate the morning breakfast crew (Emelyn, Danica, Jersey) for their top notch, warm, welcoming, and personable service. Thank you Hotel Metropolitan and will see you again soon.

How close the hotel was to the centre. A big enough bed for my very tall husband and good air conditioning. Lovely rooftop bar and towels were refreshed every day.

More personal, but that the bathroom was open to the rest of the room. Toilet did have a door but with semi transparent glass so you could see when someone was in there and hear everything! Also, could have just been me, but the water or something in the shower had a very strange smell almost like burning or something.

We love this hotel and this was our second visit. They have renovated several of the rooms which it makes it even better. Great breakfast with attentive staff. Great beds and spotless rooms. Nice bathroom with good shower. You can walk to this hotel from the train station or take a taxi for approximately 15 Euro. Would definitely stay again.

Very comfortable, clean and quiet hotel just off Main Street so very well situated for sightseeing , restaurants etc. very good breakfast with lovely staff. Reason a 4 and not a 5 - packed breakfast on first morning very dull - yoghurt with no soon and dry crackers with butter and jam but no knife - would be very easy to provide something better. Also, charged 10 euros for 2 bottles of water on check out but no information given in the room about charges and one bottle not consumed but couldn’t rebate as already charged - not very impressed. Also superior room had not much natural light 110

Unfortunately it is not a 4 star hotel… I recently traveled to Bologna with my husband. We booked a standard room în Metropolitan Hotel. It was the worst room design we have ever seen. Everything dark grey. The floor was plain cement, dyed with some sort of oil paint in dark grey. They used the same paint on all the walls up to the ceiling. I have never seen a 4 star hotel with cement floors before, no rugs, nothing. They told us it is because of “allergies”…. I am a doctor specialised in allergies, but I have never advised my patients to move in a cement cave! There are so many options, like a warm wooden floor for example. Because of that oil paint the walls can not breathe, and the entire room had a stale air. The bathroom had the cheapest fixtures ever, there was mold on the wall under the sink. The toilet was too close to the sink so you had to sit side ways ….We asked for another room, even if we have to pay extra, but we were told there is nothing available. The next day we were offered another room, but as we wanted to see it first, the receptionist told us the room has the same desing, except for a small balcony and a better view….so we passed. Then we were offered some cards for free drinks which we also refused, because we can not be bought with a few drinks…. Sorry, I would never ever go back….
