not much liked. front desk lady was nice & she deserves a raise because she'd probably have to put up with angry& unsatisfied residents all the time. I'm no princess, but this place needs a major overhaul &better housekeeping & maintenance. Very disappointing, added stress to an already stressful trip, no sleep, noisey, fix tv & bathrooms as need work or replacements, all a deep clean & repairs. wifi kept going in & out. sad & i liked leaving forever.

Loud construction across street not aware of & very early in morn start for them, no sleep. not much to like, 1st room was dirty, 2nd room i moved to was better but bathroom is gross, seat falling off, above fan caked with filth, mold in grout in tub, bed pulled out a bit & dont dare do that as saw stuff onfloor near head board onfloor; scared to know what it was, carpet side wall coming off, light switch dirty, lamps dusty, tv did remote/tv channels did not work, long hair in bed. air conditioner had black tape of some sorts holding up, bed skirt ill fitting. 1st room was so filthy i was put in at original check in , you could visually see things had not been wiped in a longtime, nothing on walls, reminded me of aprison cell, wiring & akr con looked terrible, lamps dusty, 1 shade cracked, phone was not wiped & needs replacement, bathtub gross, corners gross, fan had layer of grey dust obviously across hood, tub scary noone should bathe in it ever. front desk lady was nice. break fast in morn was ok, only 1 type of bagel some people cant eat poppyseeds & that thin white bread was sad, need muffins, butter hard because in fridge so couldnt even use. bagel toaster had a knob missing. I didnt like paying for that stay. no sleep at all. boo

It’s close to the highway and it’s easy to locate, however they need to improve security as someone we don’t know if they are homeless or bumped who’s behind the parking area of the hotel.

Old property, tired room smelling of smoke. Needs to be knocked down and rebuilt to improve it!

The property was in a great location, only a short walk into the centre of town. The staff were helpful. Breakfast included. Plenty of parking on site and free.

When we arrived at the property we dropped our bags and went into town for dinner. When we returned we realised that the window to the room had been completely open with only a thin net separating the outside from inside which would have been super easy for someone to climb through due to the window being so large. With the room being on street level, we felt this was very insecure and would have been nice to be told. The immediate area of the room felt a little bit sketchy. The bed wasn’t very comfortable. Breakfast was included which was great but it was very basic options, cereal, bread for toast etc. and the breakfast room itself is very small for the number of rooms. The juice machine was also broken.

The bathroom had lots of mildew. Ceiling and tiles need to be redone. the bed springs were crazy. Rolling over in the middle of the night made the whole thing shake. Also a very uneven sleeping surface. An uneven dip on the side, mound in the middle. Not at all comfortable

The price and staff are always great.

I think a little TLC of paint could be done on the outside to spruce up the look?

Garbage in our ice bin, smelled like cigarettes, breakfast was late and coffee was from the day previous I assume ( was cold). Hot water took over 10mins to come for shower.

Price was very good as we make multiple trips to Kamloops for the Hospital. It’s within walking distance to the Hospital.

No frills, simple and close to downtown. We have always stayed here whenever we visit Kamloops.and it's still kept clean and simple. The price was very reasonable and close to many convenience stores nearby- great location. 👍😊

Friendly and helpful staff. I have my dog with me and that is all matter. The thing that I can get in and out to the room directly after parking my car is great considering having my dog.

The property was in walking distance to a Denny’s restaurant, which took longer to drive to lol. It had a handicap parking spot.

Quite an old property but the room was very clean. Really nothing we didn’t like.

The facilities were disgusting. If this place is reflective of the brand, the brand is in trouble. I travel a lot for work and will never consider another "Howard Johnson"

I liked the location as it was close to the hospital and Denny's and fact that there was a microwave in the room and a fridge. Airconditioning worked well and the breakfast was included in the price of the room.

The rooms were not as clean as they should have been as there was dirt on the baseboards with something spilled on them as well. The surfaces were sticky and when I cleaned them, the wipe was dirty. I had to change rooms as the tub shower was leaking and couldn't be fixed. Breakfast could have easily included a variety of bagels (only everything bagels were on the menu every day), a variety of fruit such as bananas and maybe apples for a change from oranges, and perhaps having someone clean the counters every hour from other guest's crumbs, seeds, napkins, etc. as well as replenishing items that were gone. A couple of mornings, bagels were all gone. The toaster may need to be replaced as the toast and bagels came out untoasted and needed a couple of tries to be toasted. This property only services rooms every second or third day and does not provide tea or decaf. coffee and I was unable to purchase any type of coffee packet that would work in the coffee machine in my room. I had to take a couple of tea bags from the breakfast room to make tea in my room and no decaf coffee was available in the breakfast room. The location of the microwave was awkward as it was located on the bottom shelf of the shelving unit making it difficult to use. The fridge in the first room didn't work well either as the freezing compartment had no door and the compartment was covered in a thick coat of ice. It didn't freeze or keep frozen items frozen.

Room was dated with paint peeling in a number of spots. Water pressure and hot water were dependent on no one else using them at the same time. Dumpsters in the back alley were smelly.

Breakfast was VERY basic. No hot food (eg:eggs, waffles, a protein, etc). This was disappointing because other Wyndhams I have been to have many more options during their free breakfasts. When we arrived at 9am (breakfast served until 10), there were no bagels or coffee or yogurt left. Front desk did oblige the request of the 6 customers in the room for refills. Breakfast gets a 3 out of 10 Tried to book via 1-800 # but was told “taxes & fees would be $45 on a $99 room.

We chose this to be close to the hospital, otherwise there isn't a whole lot of reasons to stay here. Staff was super lovely. The shower was pretty decent. Bedding had stains on them, the room is small and make sure you bring earplugs. Not a great stay.

Stains on the washed out sheets and towels. The room is small. Mattresses not to my liking. The place is terribly run down and needs some major investments to run properly. The price is too high for what you get.

Dirty, used and abused, 🪰, VERY SMELLY, felt unsafe, suspicious people around the property and renting rooms, I did not even showered because I was not brave enough to step in the brown stained tub😵‍💫 unsafe ELECTRIC WIRES, antique air con 🤢 I don’t understand how the business is even legal, someone should check on these places, third world. I’m shocked, I left the property at 05 AM, I just couldn’t be near that place. The staff was very nice, changed the room for me when I complained about the cigarette strong smell. Unfortunately all the rooms they have are were quite similar so not much to do about. No vending machines, I had to walk over 10 min to get a bottle of water. The restaurant near sells horrible food, I’d not recommend either. I’m sry for the bad rating but I’m also sorry for myself, I feel traumatised 🫤

Showers were tricky to figure out hot water. Hot was where cold should be and cold where hot should be. Got it figured out but a bit annoying.
