Super Lage, tolles altes Gebäude, schöne große Zimmer, gutes Frühstück und nettes Personal- was will man mehr?

Nur 2 Kleinigkeiten: es gab nur eine Sorte Tee (Azorean Tea), wir hätten gerne andere Sorten gehabt beim Frühstück. Die Garage beim Hotel ist eine Herausvorderung, einparken (mit Autolift) nur mit Anweisung. Ist aber der zentralen Lage geschuldet, in der Nähe gibt’s Outdoor- Parkplätze.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral in der Stadt, sodass man in 5 Minuten an allen zentralen Orten und Restaurants ist. Das Personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Alle sprechen gutes Englisch, sodass man auch ohne Portugiesisch Kenntnisse super klar kommt. Die Zimmer war sehr großzügig und sauber. Das ganze Hotel wirkte sehr sauber und ordentlich.

Das Frühstück hätte etwas abwechslungsreicher sein können. Auch wenn die Zimmer sehr schön sind, könnten die Bäder mal eine Renovierung vertragen.

The staff were amazing. They were super friendly and accommodating. They also recommended what became our favourite restaurant on the island. The location was great, central and very easy to walk everywhere in Ponta Delgado. There is parking at the hotel using a very quaint car lift system!

Great location and staff.

The location was great and very central in the city. We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. Our room was nice and everything we needed after a day of exploring the island.

Bem hôtel au centre de la vielle ville. L'emplacement est idéal pour visiter Ponta Delgada et se déplacer à pied dans la ville. Ma chambre était spacieuse, confortable et propre. Le personnel à l'accueil était très disponible, serviable et agréable. Carlos en particulier a fait toute la différence, bons conseils de visite et une belle surprise le jour de mon anniversaire.

Le petit déjeuner n'était pas à la hauteur d'un hôtel 4*. Pas de thé breakfast, les oeufs brouillés secs, tous les jours la même chose. Vraiment dommage!

Loved the hotel design blending modern and traditional. Pool was a bonus but be prepared as it’s not heated. Staff were amazing - so helpful and gave us towels for use at the beach, days out to the thermal pools, waterfalls etc.

Breakfast was a little bland and there were a few days where staff started to clear it away 20 mins or so before 10.30am.

Mooie kamers en fantastisch bed (heb nog nooit zo goed geslapen op hotel). Hotel is goed gelegen (centraal, omgeven door goede restaurants). Vriendelijke personeel. Glutenvrije opties bij ontbijt en in restaurant. Heel goed restaurant voor 's avonds te gaan eten (deden we 3 keer). Aangenaam zwembad met zachte handdoeken die voor je klaarliggen.

Lawaai van de straat, maar die verdwijnt als je jouw raam dichtdoet. Ik ben een moeilijke slaper en heb toch fantastisch geslapen dus zo storend is het lawaai echt niet

Calm atmosphere and big rooms

The breakfast was delicious and the room was very spacious with incredible views of town. Being able to see the ocean was a bonus. Proximity to the town of Ponta Delgada was wonderful to be able to walk everywhere within minutes.

We could hear our next door room neighbours in their bathroom very clearly. There was very little water pressure in the shower. Otherwise all was great!

Das Hotel befindet sich stilecht in einem klassischen Gebäude der Azoren und die Räumlichkeiten wissen mit makelloser Sauberkeit zu überzeugen. Insgesamt verfügt dieses charmante Hotel von doch überschaubarer Größe über eine gute Ausstattung mit einem Außenpool, hauseigenem Restaurant und der über einen Fahrzeuglift erreichbaren Parkgarage. Das Hotel befindet sich zudem in zentraler Lage; die Sehenswürdigkeiten sind in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar und in den umliegenden Gassen finden sich mehrere Restaurants.

Insbesondere die Ausstattung des Badezimmers war etwas in die Jahre gekommen und befand sich nicht mehr im allerbesten Zustand.

Todo muy bien. No pudimos probar el desayuno porque tuvimos que salir muy pronto por la mañana por lo que no podemos valorar la calidad de desayuno aunque nos prepararon un paquete para llevar que estuvo correcto.

El grifo de la ducha del baño tenía poca presión y al poco rato de tenerlo encendido el agua salía hirviendo.

Die Klohbrille inunserem Zimmer war zu klein und sollte drongend erseetzt werden.

Property is very stylish and comfortable. Location is great.

Breakfast - very low standard for the hotel. Very few options, for example: variety of fruits, no pinnacle being on the island treasures. No seeds of healthy cereals, no boiled eggs…and so on. 3 star breakfast!

Közel a belváros, tágas, tiszta szoba, kiemelkedően segítőkész és kedves személyzet, jó megközelíthetőség. Az étterem messze alulértékelt. Kifjezetten kulináris élmény volt, ugyanakkor az árai kifjezetten olcsók.

A szomszédos pizzéria éjszaka kissé zajos utcafrontra nyíló szoba esetén. Az ágy matraca már kissé kikádasodott. Parkolás csak a közelben - ugyan tényleg nem messze, de esőben nem kellemes.

We stayed here for 1 night and the hotel is in a brilliant location that is central and within walking distance of lots of restaurants. The staff were really personable and sweet throughout, and organised a taxi for us upon check out. The pool area is fab! A couple of points that seem to resonate with other guests. Our bedroom was so nicely decorated but the bathroom was dated and we didn’t like the shower curtain which frankly got in the way and not the most hygienic. We stayed in room 118 and the toilet was leaking at the base all over the floor which wasn’t pleasant. The hotel were responsive in trying to fix it. We missed not having tea / coffee making facilities in our room which is normal in all other places, and given what we paid for our room for the night, which wasn’t cheap, it felt very mean spirited to have to pay for 1.2 euros for a bottle of water in the fridge, although they did not charge for this. This should be complimentary. Come on guys! Our room faced on to the street and we were kept awake throughout the night by loud noises outside up to 3am. There is a municipal garbage facility outside, and various restaurants were dumping their glass and waste at all hours of the night. Some of them were not even respectful and were talking and shouting at the top of their voices which was really disrespectful. There is no air con in the room and as the weather was so hot we had to have the windows open. Perhaps restaurants should all agree not to dump their heavy waste until the morning and be quiet… We would recommend asking for a room that doesn’t face on to the street. For us, as we were only here for a night we let it go but if we had stayed for longer we would have picked this up with the management to have a room not facing the street. Breakfast was average and not aligned to accommodation of this standard, and with the benefit of hindsight, we would not opt for breakfast. There is a lovely bakery at the bottom of the street with really good breakfast options that we would expect to see in a hotel like this.

Located in the heart of Ponta Delgada…easy to walk to everything - the ocean, the parks, the mall, cafes, churches and pizza! Great breakfast, rooms with all you need, a pool,…helpful staff always willing to offer suggestions and alternatives. The hotel is quiet and super clean. This is the second time we have stayed here and will be back!

This hotel isn't a great location for exploring the city. The pool was nice and the breakfast was great as well.

The floors were a bit dirty, and the major drawback was that the restaurant was really terrible.

Very friendly hotel in a narrow street in the middle of town and convenient for bars and restaurants. The hotel is a bit tired in places. Our room was a good size and comfortable. Good breakfast.

Most everything was quite great.

Internet connection was terrible.

I would like to especially mention that the staff were very friendly and helpful during my stay. The reception team and restaurant staff made me feel welcome, and I really appreciated their assistance.

The Wi-Fi was not reliable in my room and often made it difficult to use basic online services. As I was travelling within the EU, I could rely on my mobile data, but for international travellers depending on hotel Wi-Fi, this could be a serious inconvenience.

Die Lage ist sehr gut. Das Hotel ist insgesamt ganz schön aber auch nicht überragend. Wir waren 2 Nächte dort. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung.

Great location within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the main gate of the city. We found the beds comfortable and slept well. The bathroom was strangely engineered. No fan but an openable window which was hard to reach. Door stops placed on floor where you can easily stub a toe. Getting in and out of the tub was a challenge. Fridge was more like an electric cooler and kept food cool but not cold. Breakfast buffet was free but the exact same foods everyday so we learned to stagger our selection to avoid the monotony. Breads and butter were very good, Portuguese coffee is delightful. There is cheese available at just about every meal on the Azores and Azorean cheese for breakfast is wonderful for a cheese lover. Hotel and wait staff were friendly. The restaurant goes Japanese/Portuguese fusion at night. We only ate there one night and only had appetizers because we were stuffed from lunch, but the food was good. In summary, if you want to be in an area where you can walk all over the city, this is a good option.

Un bel hôtel dans le centre de Ponta Delgada. La personne qui occupe le poste à la réception le soir était extrêmement sympathique et gentille ! Le reste du personne, bof... Le petit déjeuner n'était pas fou. La chambre était très grande et très agréable !

- Excellent location : in the heart of Ponta Delgada , everything (supermarket, bar, restaurant, shopping) can be done by foot within less than 10 mins. The location was definitely the highlight of our stay. - Excellent room : the room was huge (way above our expectation), everything appeared new and decorations were great. We even had two big window and a view! - AC : the ac was simple to understand and very efficient

- Parking : this was the deal-breaker for me. We did book this hotel in particular because of its parking facilities. However, upon arrival it was a surprise to know that the parking comes with a lot of T&C : there are less than 10 parking space for the whole hotel (first come first serve) , to be able to park you would need to stop the car in the middle of the road and ask for the staff to open you the parking space and this...only if it is available (so forget about peak hour). In the end, we could not park in the hotel, which is a shame. I believe this should be added in the hotel description. - Bathroom : the size was of the bathroom was great however : it was ancient (like 80s vibe) which not only means old fashioned looking but amenities were broken (shower handle) , rusty (the vanity), leftover paint on the door , water pressure almost inexistent, extraction fan not working but the cherry on the top was the fact that you need at least 5-10 mins to eventually get hot water. - Amenities : for a 4 stars it is lacking basic amenities such as a coffee/tea selection , kettle , iron board, proper mini-bar.... - Cleanliness : was not at the level of a 4 stars. - Breakfast : food was fresh however the selection was minimal (towards extremely limited if you were a vegan).

Nestled in the city centre and yet in a quiet street, this hotel exceeded expectations. Our small car fit into the underground car park (safely guided in by the staff), and the delicious sushi on the first night (after a very long day) was the perfect way to begin our Azores adventure.

There is very little to add to this section. I may have liked a bigger pillow, but I was too tired to ask if there was even one!

Positiv hervorzuheben ist die Größe des Zimmers. Es bot ausreichend Platz, um zwei große Koffer problemlos geöffnet unterzubringen, ohne dass die Bewegungsfreiheit eingeschränkt wurde. Insgesamt machten sowohl das Zimmer als auch das Badezimmer einen sauberen Eindruck. Lediglich an einigen Stellen im Bereich der Fensterrahmen war etwas Staub sichtbar, was den ansonsten positiven Gesamteindruck jedoch nur geringfügig beeinträchtigte. Sehr angenehm war zudem die zentrale Lage des Hotels. Zahlreiche Restaurants, Bars und weitere Ausgehmöglichkeiten befinden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe und sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Auch die Parksituation war für uns äußerst komfortabel. Zwar verfügt das Hotel offenbar nur über eine begrenzte Anzahl eigener Stellplätze, jedoch befinden sich in wenigen Gehminuten Entfernung zwei große, kostenfreie Parkplätze. Dadurch mussten wir während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts nie Zeit mit der Parkplatzsuche verbringen.

Der größte Kritikpunkt war für uns das Badezimmer, das insgesamt einen deutlich in die Jahre gekommenen Eindruck vermittelt. Das Waschbecken weist zahlreiche Haarrisse auf, die Toilettenbrille ist durch starke Abnutzung mittlerweile eher grau als weiß und auch die Duscharmatur konnte nicht überzeugen. Der Wasserdruck war schwach und schwankte teilweise erheblich. Zudem veränderte sich die Wassertemperatur spürbar, beispielsweise wenn in einem anderen Zimmer die Toilettenspülung betätigt wurde. Auch der bereitgestellte Haartrockner wirkte stark abgenutzt und war offensichtlich mit Klebeband repariert. Aus hygienischer Sicht erscheint die Positionierung der Handtuchhalterungen ungünstig. Diese befinden sich direkt neben der Toilette oberhalb der Toilettenbürste. Eine Anbringung an der Badezimmertür oder an einer anderen Stelle wäre aus unserer Sicht deutlich sinnvoller. Darüber hinaus sind die Zimmer sehr hellhörig. Gespräche aus den Nachbarzimmern waren problemlos verständlich, was die Privatsphäre und Nachtruhe beeinträchtigte. Verbesserungsbedarf besteht auch bei den Steckdosen. Zwar befinden sich auf beiden Seiten des Bettes Steckdosen, diese werden jedoch bereits durch die Nachttischlampen belegt. Da keine separate Deckenbeleuchtung vorhanden ist, konnten diese praktisch nicht genutzt werden, ohne auf die Beleuchtung zu verzichten. Weitere Steckdosen befinden sich lediglich im Bereich des Fernsehers beziehungsweise an der Treppe. Das Laden mehrerer Geräte, insbesondere über Nacht, gestaltet sich dadurch unnötig umständlich. Die Klimaanlage wird zentral gesteuert und lässt sich nicht individuell regulieren. Dadurch wurde das Zimmer zeitweise als zu warm und stickig empfunden. Das Öffnen der Fenster stellte insbesondere am Abend keine optimale Alternative dar, da die Straße aufgrund der sehr zentralen Lage des Hotels stark belebt ist und dadurch ein erhöhter Geräuschpegel entsteht. Auch das Frühstück konnte nicht vollständig überzeugen.

A localização era excelente. Rapidinho estávamos no centro de Ponta Delgada. O banheiro era espaçoso e o chuveiro era muito bom. Ficamos no último andar e a varanda do quarto era bem espaçosa. O café da manhã era bom, mas sempre as mesmas opções. Seria interessante que houvesse pequenas variações para que não ficasse tão monótono.

O colchão era um pouco mais duro do que o esperado, então muitas vezes acordávamos durante a noite para nos movimentar, senão com certeza acordaríamos com dor nas costas. Ao final de 10 dias acabamos acostumando, mas vale a pena considerar esta opção.

Rooms are spacious & clean, the staff especially Joana & Pedro were so friendly and gracious. Excellent location, with a laundromat just a few doors down :) and walking distance to everything in Ponta Delgada. Additionally there is a fantastic & fun pizza restaurant & bar called Nonna’s also just a few steps from the hotel.

There are a few maintenance issues, the toilet seat barely fits over the toilet bowl, the shower head sprays water sideways which resulted in water running out between the shower curtain and wall absolutely soaking the whole bathroom floor. The phone in the room doesn’t work to call the front desk (for towels to clean up water). There’s an extensive room service menu that you scan from a QR code, food options looked great but there’s no instruction on how to place an order and that takes us back to the phone that first work!

The breakfast was excellent with plenty of different items to choose between. I am not a fan of Buffet Breakfasts in general but this was pretty good with that regard. Very central location with interesting bars and restaurants all around. The staff were friendly and professional and not just going through the motions. They clearly enjoy working here.

The hotel is in a good location close to bars,shops,restaurants and the centre. Check in was polite and efficient and I was given a twin room for sole occupancy.Room 217 on the second floor.Hotel has lifts.The room was spacious,comfortable single beds,side tables,plenty of clothes and hanging space.Armchair,table,fridge,A/C,TV. Bath and shower.Selection of toiletries and hairdryer.No kettle in the room which would have been welcomed. Bottled filtered water in the fridge which there is a charge for.The buffet breakfast was simple but adequate.There’s an outdoor pool.Good Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.The hotel staff are friendly and welcoming.
