Smoking area is just a few tables put right in the sun. Smoking anywhere else - prohibited. And avoid asking the reception to call a taxi - they will call a V class minivan for 35 chf even if you just need to go 5 mins to the train station. Won't come back.

Die Lage des Zimners war miserable ! Kein Aussicht, Müll vor dem Garten . Am 3.Tag haben wir endlich ein besseres Zimner erhalten. Das nächste Mal werden wir direkt ins Hotel reservieren denn mit Booking könnten wir die Etage nicht wählen !

A vista do hotel pro lago de Lugano é belíssima. É, sinceramente, o único ponto forte do hotel.

É distante do centro, o hotel é legal, mas é mais austero (não é luxuoso) e por isso achei que o custo-benefício não vale tanto - é caro pelo que oferece.

Restaurant wasn’t up to scratch for the price point

Villa Principe Leopoldo was truly one of the best stays I have ever had in my life. We initially stayed for three nights and loved the place so much that we extended our stay for another four nights, making it a full seven-night stay. The villa itself is beautiful, comfortable, and peaceful, but what made the experience exceptional was the hospitality and service. The staff were incredibly attentive and patient throughout our stay. Whenever we called for anything, our request was handled within minutes, often delivered right to our gate almost immediately. They cleaned our room as many times as we requested and provided all amenities with great care and professionalism. They were always available, no matter the time of day, and helped us arrange cabs and cars whenever needed. A special recognition goes to Galin and Andreal, who were the most helpful during our stay. Their warmth, professionalism, and constant support made our experience even more memorable. Every small detail was taken care of, which made our stay completely stress-free and unforgettable.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen war sehr fein. An einem Tag war eine Reisegruppe am Frühstücks-Buffet was leider zu Engpässen geführt hat.

Wir wurden leider nicht darüber informiert, dass sich das Preisverhältnis bei einem Musikanlass verändert.

The hotel is situated in a beautiful location on the lake - stunning views from the terrace. We are so grateful for the room upgrade for our special occasion, which meant we had a really spacious home for 5 days. I particularly enjoyed the sunloungers in the room terrace and the walk-in wardrobe. Staff were generally very friendly.

The hotel had the potential to be great but lots of missed opportunities to make the experience feel efficient, good value or thoughtful. This was summed up by a few examples: 1) Breakfast was good in terms of variety of produce but service was extremely disorganised and inattentive with clearly no system in place. You had to go find someone to place orders and then half the time these orders were very delayed or never came. They also start tidying up at 10.35am everyday even though breakfast finishes at 11am, making you feel rushed and pushed out. Not always very relaxing! 2) The spa is not included and is very pricey, which is surprising given the cost of the hotel. The gym is also in their other hotel across the road, difficult to find, and much of the equipment was old or out of order. In fact, very little was complimentary / reasonably priced on site. Cheaper drinks for guests on the terrace probably would have incentivised us to spend more money in the hotel ironically! 3) They say they have a shuttle service into town but it is only 2-3 times per day and then half the time, it was full. I couldn't book in advance so we ended up spending a fair amount on ubers.

El hotel es muy bonito y tiene unas preciosas vistas pero el servicio de desayuno deja mucho que desear.

En el desayuno no están pendientes, tienes que buscar al camarero para pedir algo, se equivocaron de leche siendo intolerante a la lactosa, no se corresponde para un hotel de 5 estrellas.

Die Kompetenz, Freundlichkeit und Warmherzigkeit der Mitarbeitenden hat uns während diesem Wochenende besonders gefallen. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment willkommen - der hohe Standard eines Fünfsternehotels kombiniert sich hier mit dem italienischen Charme (fast alle Mitarbeitenden sind Italiener :-). Ausserdem ist die Lage mit Aussicht über Bucht und Lugano fantastisch und Teile der Architektur (die Villa) sehr ansprechend - der neuere Trakt mit den Zimmer ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Unbedingt im Zweisternerestaurant essen - hervorragend.

Bemühtes Personal. Schöne Umgebung.

Zimmer sind stark in die Jahre gekommen. Wurden beim checkin nicht informiert, dass der Spa Bereich nur auf Vorreservation verfügbar ist und konnten somit nicht in den Wellness Bereich. 26 Grad warmes Zimmer - konnte immerhin nach 3 Besuchen des Personals im Zimmer behoben werden.

The Hotel is beautiful with wonderful views to the lake and mountains, the staff are excellent and our room Junior Suite exceptional. The restaurant and food is excellent for foodies. Our stay was for one night as part of a longer road trip so can’t comment, on how a longer stay would have been.

Difficult to find for the first time, slightly out of the city centre in a residential area. Gym equipment was a bit tired which, for a hotel of this quality was a bit unexpected. Would not be a Hotel we would choose for more than a couple of nights.

Mein Aufenthalt im Villa Principe Leopoldo in Lugano war einfach außergewöhnlich. Von Anfang an hat alles gestimmt – der Service war erstklassig, aufmerksam und auf höchstem Niveau. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und bestens betreut. Die Zimmer sind wunderschön, stilvoll und elegant eingerichtet und bieten eine atemberaubende Aussicht, die den Aufenthalt unvergesslich macht. Der gesamte Stil des Hotels strahlt eine besondere Eleganz aus, kombiniert mit einem einzigartigen, entspannten und dennoch luxuriösen Ambiente. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich die Freundlichkeit des Personals sowie der insgesamt harmonische „Vibe“ des Hauses – man merkt, dass hier großer Wert auf Qualität und Gastfreundschaft gelegt wird. Für mich war alles perfekt – ich kann dieses Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und komme sehr gerne wieder!

The room/views were excellent. A truly enjoyable experience. For improvement- during our stay there was a lot of noise in the corridor (vacuuming, staff speaking loudly, etc). Before arriving, we were invited to an online dinner "upgrade" (a special 5 course meal) for 170 CHF per person), but the hotel staff and concierge didn't seem to know anything about this. Despite the initial confusion about the meal, the concierge (Giorgio) assured us that we would be taken care of us and, the meal that we had was truly spectacular! Thank you Giorgio! Nevertheless, when we checked out, the meal was not on the hotel bill and I had to remind them to charge us 340 CHF for this exceptional dinner (ouch!). But overall, we would definitely recommend the hotel and restaurant.

Die Lage ist hervorragend. Der Blick aus der Lobby Bar & den Restaurants ist wunderschön.

Das Hotel hat insgesamt einen sehr veralteten Eindruck gemacht. Die Zimmer müssten dringend renoviert werden, die Sauberkeit liess zu wünschen übrig, das Frühstücksbuffet ist von minderer Qualität. Sehr enttäuschend! Auch das Personal ist zum Teil eher unfreundlich.

Frühstück oberer Durchschnitt. Pool zu ungepflegt, vermutlich externe Gäste im Haus haben ihren Müll (Mc Donalds Tüten) im Poolbereich abgestellt. Wurde nicht aufgeräumt. Poolservice mit Handtüchern zu spät und zu selten (keine Handtücher teilweise vorhanden). Getränkeservice am Pool zu selten und nur auf Anforderung über poolpflegenden Hausmeister. Kein 5-Sterne-Niveau

Bettwanzen. Matratzenbelag und Bettwäsche wurden auf unseren dringenden Wunsch hin ausgetauscht

Nice property with great views but with very old rooms! Everything was old in the room. The bed was uncomfortable. The room was cold. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Spent five days here over the Christmas holiday. Our family had three rooms together. The rooms are a very good size and our family could gather in one room to spend time together. The breakfast was very nice as were the people working it. The cleaning was done daily and done very well. We had wished for some holiday decorations which were severely lacking - there were none. Also the fact that there was never anyone at the desk was a bit of a drawback as the self check in process was somewhat difficult (this may have been because we had three rooms under one name). However, whenever we called for something, a corkscrew, ice, towels,it was sent promptly. There are some things, like the carpets that could use to be replaced. The bus to Lugano was easy to use and was a short walk away. There were also Ubers which we took advantage of as well. Overall, we had a very good experience at the Park Hotel and we all agreed we would definitely return.

Das Restaurant: Sehr teuer. Speisen sehr uninspiriert und langweilig und zT fehlerhaft zubereitet. On top of that: kalte Teller, so dass man kalten Fisch und kaltes Fleisch ass

Frühstück Top

Staff molto premuroso, professionale ed accogliente (presso la reception, la SPA, la limonaia). Struttura molto ben decorata per le feste. Spa molto ordinata e pulita. Attrezzature molto ben alloggiate e fruibili pur essendo in uno spazio contenuto. Ottima la colazione. Struttura molto silenziosa ed elegante in posizione centrale con vista spettacolare sul golfo di Lugano.

Trovo sia un peccato che i vetri della limonaia non fossero troppo puliti. È un posto molto bello dove fare colazione al sole e sarebbe più elegante con dei vetri meglio puliti. In camera (o) la rubinetteria (cromo) è molto graffiata da anni di pulizie ed anche il lavandino sarebbe ora di sostituirlo perché la ceramica era rovinata.

Top Real Estate and history and the view.

The hotel exudes old world charm with its perch high above Lake Lugano. The lake view rooms offer an extraordinary view and are worth booking. We did not eat at the hotel as we were visiting friends elsewhere, but it looked very good and also had an outstanding view. The service is five star with staff trying to meet your every request kindly.

De l'accueil aux différentes prestations, tout est parfait. Les chambres sont superbes. Le buffet du petit déjeuner au top. La gentillesse du personnel participe à la qualité du séjour.
