Breakfast was bland , not topped up without chasing staff to refill fruit bread and continental plates, table cloths dirty and hanging on floor , very dangerous for elderly residents 😦🤔🤔cold cooked foods eggs left too long dried up and big pieces of shell in scrambled egg .

We had a sea view room with a balcony but when you sat on the seats you could only see a brick wall

The location, staff, breakfast and entertainment was really good.

The room carpets were dirty eg stained and someone was sick in the pool and it took sometime to clean up. The balcony tiles were loose and we could have had an accident, if not fully aware. To be honest the hotel was looking a bit tired.

The room I was allocated a single room was not fit to be rented out. I stayed ten minutes and went to Reception. It was where a homeless man would be put! I felt insulted. Crack in sink, bits on bathroom floor, black marks on wall, stained shower curtain and discoloured bath. I would not step in it.

Parking was good and the staff were excellent. The breakfast was very good and having a lift was much appreciated.

The room was poor. Having the foam ceiling tiles dated the initial impression of the room and it didn't get any better on closer inspection. Having a hole in the ceiling tile above the bed, made my partner uneasy. It looked like there was a smoke alarm fitted there at some point but its just the hole that's left. The bed and the furniture are in a poor state of repair. I had to use my luggage against the radiator guard as it wouldn't close. The bathroom was clean but again was in a poor state. The handrail in the bath is rusty, there are rawl plugs from a previous shower rail visible while the ones from the previous soap dispenser have been filled in. The grout is cracked in the window tiles and around the door frame. The tv ariel wire was coming out the wall and the tv itself worked intermittently.

Our second room ….. was spacious and the bathroom modern . The bar outside lovely as were the gents running it . I thought it shut very early however for a weekend

The management attitude plus in our £120 room the ceiling tiles were lifting with what could only be predicted as the walkway upstairs as when we were moved upstairs we felt them move beneath our feet . Went to reception to inform we were not happy and management pretty much said we were lying … also massive gaps in ceiling in bathroom and items falling off the walls . Pubic and head hair still in both bathrooms and shower head mouldy !!!!!!!! Dust coated the walls above the bed

The hotel and the staff were fantastic, polite and provided us with information about the area and events. Service, food, company, surroundings in and out were lovely and comfy. Everyone was treated with respect and I could not fault any of the staff.... You and the venue I highly rec commend.

I was with a disable person in a wheel chair, our room was too small to move her around in the wheel chair. Due to the shower being in a bath the lady was not able to shower and had to wash instead. A larger room with a walk in shower, handrails would of been highly welcomed. Our room was next to a exit door which made it difficult to get the wheel chair out of the room and into the hallway, It was difficult to have bedroom diir open, the wheel chair in hand and to then get through another door...

The hotel is right on the sea front near to the Pier. Staff are most friendly nice comfy room, very comfy bed, all the facilities you need. The decor could do with updating but the room was spotlessly clean so this did not detract from my stay. Had a lovely Sunday lunch in the Bistro and breakfast was served buffet style self service, the food was excellent and both the food and plates were hot. Big car park at the side of the hotel.

Not enough staff, busy weekend and you had to ring 00 to get services at the bar. Could order food at the outdoor bar but not a coffee you had to go inside

Great stay, staff were helpful, enjoyed my evening meal, my dog was allowed in the upstairs restaurant, in the morning, me and my dog ate breakfast in the upstairs restaurant. Thankyouvfor out over night stay.

Staff rude and didn't really want to answer questions, decor outdated, food quality poor and overpriced, we were put in a room so far back had to walk through dirty corridors, pots and plates left around, black carpet in our room was dirty. Walls in room needed a wipe down. For what we paid I expected better quality , very disappointed. Will definately stick to St Ives next time.

The main feature of this hotel is the swimming pool and spa... Unfortunately it was the dirtiest pool and spa we have ever seen... The pool water had multiple bits floating in it and was cloudy/dirty. No smell or hint of chlorine or any hoovering/pool maintenance. The floors around the pool and the in the changing rooms were disgraceful with clumps of hair everywhere including up the walls, dirt/grime everywhere and old discarded items of clothing. The Sauna is not fit for purpose and doesn't work. A shame as the pool is a good size and could be a lot better if cleaned and maintained. The room was basic but adequate and clean enough but the heating was not controllable and was on full blast as the radiators for all rooms are on the same system with not TRV's to regulate temperature (an easy fix) as such we did not sleep well as it was too hot. The main bar area is run down and dated. Our friends stayed in the hotel next door which was £40 cheaper at the time and was a much nicer experience. The breakfast was ok. The staff- all but one lady on reception (but I think she was stressed) were very pleasant and wanted to help where they could. The place has potential in a good location but needs a revamp in the main bar/lobby and the pool/spa needs a deep clean and properly maintained. Would not stay again as better hotels for less money.

The room we were in needed updating, several housekeeping issues. However, when discussed with the manager she was extremely helpful.

Our room on the first floor smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke, like it was coming up from the room below or possibly on the corridors. It gave me and my grandson a cough.

The fifth time I’ve stayed at this hotel, normally with my partner but this time solo for a shopping trip. It’s in a great location and always offers good value for money. Staff are attentive and a wonderful choice of hot and cold items at breakfast.

The rooms could do with a little refurbishment but then the price is reflective of this.

The food, staff and entertainment were fantastic.

Our room was supposed to be an upgrade, a boutique double room. However there was water damage in the bedroom and bathroom ceiling tiles were also water damaged. They also kept lifting with the wind which wasn't ideal whilst your trying to use the bathroom!

The location of the hotel was fab and first impressions too however the room...we don't expect the Hilton hotel as we have a pooch with us BUT the bed was broken, the bathroom was soo dated it looked dirty(this info was offered in a hotel review card yet to this date(04.09.26) we have had not contact as advised with any reviews?! Also the hotel looked extremely dated/tired in a lot of areas for the price charged

Bathroom - couldn't reach toilet roll from the toilet. Ground floor room, window didn't open very much & room quite warm. Room was quite a way through the hotel, up & down stairs. Struggled with parking but understandable due to busier summer holiday timing

At first glance it appears to be quite a nice hotel. That is until you go to your room. On arrival we were not greeted with any form of pleasant conversation. We were not advised about there being a pool or any of the other amenities. The “Boutique “ room we had booked was anything but boutique. Shabby run down decor. Peeling paint, dirty grout and ceiling tiles. Animal hair found on a dingy blanket on the bed. I rang reception to clarify that it was actually a Boutique room and was advised yes it was. View of the car park was lovely (not)and the staff just a bit dim. On leaving we were not even acknowledged by the reception staff. Overall not an enjoyable stay.

Nice and clean and very welcoming… bedroom was good… for our celebration of 20 years.. hotel had a bottle of champagne 🍾 in our room on ice 🧊 for our anniversary 🥰 Food was delicious well prepared .. delicious.. there was live entertainment which made our night…. Breakfast was lovely as well…

I felt the stairway from outside hotel going into hotel could be dangerously.. especially when wet… this is due to being fitted with tiles… very nice… but… could be dangerously

This is our second stay and it’s such a beautiful part of the world. Staff at the hotel are really welcoming and hardworking. the hotel seems popular with lots of residents and visitors. The singer outside in the sun was fab! We used the pool both days and had so much fun. Breakfast had something for everyone!

I understand the situation in the leisure industry generally and like many hotels, it needs investment- main issue for us was very creaky floor boards that were intrusive early evening as we were settling the kids to bed.

Room was a very long way from the entrance up and down lots of flights of stairs and a narrow passage near the gym which wasn’t helpful when bringing luggage from the car. The decor outside the room was very dark and there was a leak above the stained glass window. Bathroom in room was in need of an upgrade. Pool changing rooms not as clean as could be, stains on the shower curtains and rusty lockers. Breakfast a little bit disappointing, plates for cooked breakfast were cold, bacon was a bit undercooked. Would benefit from a selection of pastries and bread.

Nice location hotel has a lot of stairs we booked a larger bedroom it only had one chair and there was 2 of us the toilet in the bathroom was very tight and next to the sink which had sharp edges room 275 only one lift in the hotel and it was very busy so a bit of waiting time to use it the breakfast was not very nice it was buffet stlye and becuase it was busy they where rushing the products out bacon very fatty cheao sausages greasy eggs and the fried bread so hard

This hotel really needs some upgrading. The family room we stayed in had seen better days, the balcony floor tiles were all broken and not secure, very dangerous to be honest. The bathroom is way too small for 4 people. The beds were mostly comfortable. Not enough plug sockets that could be used, again not suitable for 4 people sharing. Creaky floor boards meant you could hear the upstairs room getting up for a wee in the night! Reception staff didn’t engage really, not particularly welcoming I have to say but the breakfast waiting staff all very friendly and helpful youngsters! Well done to them! Breakfast was good, I had the cooked breakfast which was cooked well and tasty with plenty to offer along with drinks as wanted.

As I person with mobility issues, I looked for a property with disabled access. While this one does have a ramp and a lift, it wasn’t mentioned that to use the disabled access and the ground level lift I would need to ring a bell and wait for a member of staff to come and open the door and switch on the lift. Every single time. Not sure why the door couldn’t just be left open or operated by a key and not sure why I can’t be trusted to operate a single button lift that goes up 3 steps. Also, 2 nights in a row my partner tried to get a coffee from the bar but couldn’t as both times it was being cleaned, at 9 at night. It’s a 24 hour service…. Or supposed to be.

Very jaded, pool roof leaking onto poolside, staff not particularly interested in queries, we had to use two fans as too hot in the room and one of fans was very dirty it should have been cleaned before being lent out ,the other fan limping along not at full efficiency

Room not ready until 1hour after check in time . Staff not visible at reception and bar for long periods of time having to use telephone to alert staff . This does not give the impression of a professional level of service . This understandably leaves clients feeling unvalued .

The location and liked the pool, gym and sauna, staff were also friendly.

The room was dated and felt unclean. The shower was broken, didn’t find out until the morning we were leaving so unableto shower, there was mould in the bathroom, cobwebs on the ceiling, looked like someone had opened a drink and was up the wall, so overall very disappointed in the room.

Oh dear. This hotel is in need of a complete makeover and refurbishment. It is very tired. Our bedroom was a good size but it was very dusty. Wall paper peeling, damp patches, thick dust on skirting boards, ripped light shades, splashes on walls and TV screen. There was rust and mould in the shower too. Poorly fitted carpet with frayed edges. Food was ok. The pool had grimy tiles and the wood on the sauna was rotten. I do not recommend this hotel, pay a bit more and go elsewhere

The position of the place is good No parking on site, adviceis, if full go to council car park, £15 for 24 hrs, then told we have an overflow, bit late when youve paid, really large room which was good. But not v clean, lace curtains brown and still, desperately need washing. 1 paper bath mat, no use at all. Poor choice of breakfast if you didn't want full English.

Very disappointed this time round we have stayed multiple times but not for a long time and the hotel is sadly no longer the same. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, tiles on bathroom roof displaced the windows and doors are of disrepair, the place is not the cleanest either but ok. Tiles on balcony floor missing and some loose. Hotel overall could do with abit of a revamp. Restaurant evening service was an absolute disgrace, sat over an hour no food served then we were told the order we placed was no longer available so we got up and left along with other annoyed guests, was not the waiters fault he was left to deal with everything himself due lack of floor staff and obviously incapable kitchen staff. Breakfast time food area was left unkempt, untidy and off putting, no plates, lack of food staff having to be asked to replace them by guests.
