The place is great. Location, ambience. Staff are very friendly/good. Cleanliness is of a high calibre.
Food choices standards have slipped. Been going there since 2015,and it's becoming more obvious. There used to be a dress etiquette, but seems like ya can rock up in "whatever "! Love the Hotel, but, please, get back to what you once were.
We arrived home today after a 3 night stay at the hotel. On arrival the hotel is lovely, smells lovely in the main lobby area and really clean. We stayed in room 309 which was a great location and clean, a little more attention could have been paid as the dresser was caked in dust when we arrived, this however could be as the sliding door was wide open on our arrival. Would have been better to have areived to a nice cool room but thats a minor moan! Super comfortable bed so had great sleep all nights, spacious, great shower, lovely view. My only complaint is the tv...no idea what was going on but hardly any English channels and channels would disappear. 1 day we had 20 the next we had 65. The channels never stayed on the same numbers etc so was a bit of a nightmare as the guide didnt work so had to go through 1 at a time! We had quite a lot of disruption of noise and being wokrn from cleaners on the floor above scraping the chairs across the tiled floors! Not ideal. Pool area is lovely. Water temperature is wonderful and the bubble pool is a nice little addition but on a timers cant be controlled by guests. There was always some kind of activity going on round the pool which looked fun. You will struggle for beds round the pool as people start from as early as 7.30am then dont lie on them all day. This has been mentioned MULTIPLE times throughout the review and is beyond me why this isnt controlled! If towels are there for a certain amount of time they should be removed. Its the only way to ensure fairness across all guests. You will likely be able to pitch a bed on the terrace but it you want to be right round the pool are if recommend setting an early alarm! Id also recommend getting a bed on the hotel side of the pool if your a sun worshipper as the rest goes into the shade rather early due to the high buildings. Snack bar food was ok, nothing amazing, my husband is a veggie and they only had a maximum of 2 mini veggie pizzas to offer per day. These are child size pizzas and if more than 1 veggie is on site your screwed! Aside from that there are burgers, hot dogs, kebab and chips. Non of it really to my liking but a lot of people were eating. Entertainment was good, always something on to cover off all age ranges at the hotel. The animation team work hard as do the bar staff, however the drinks...i have to say are awful (personal opinion) i tried copious amounts of alcoholic options and nothing say well at all! Too shelf is available at an additional price but as an all inclusive customer id have expected top shelf. My husband booked this and I wasn't aware it wasn't included...we did notice ok our leaving there is a little room downstairs when you can get top shel if your a silver band holder but we had no idea about this option! We didnt go in the spa so really cant comment but from the entrance it looked lovely. Breakfast was lovely.... everything from poached scrambled and fried eggs. Proper english sausage, fruits, pastries etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts. We didnt visit for lunch/evening meals. All in all its a nice hotel. 1st time ive been tp benidorm in over 20yrs. I think the place itself just is not to my taste but if your going and wanting an adult only hotel that isnt really rowdy id recommend hear. If I ever did go back to benidorm I would stay hear.
Absolutely amazing holiday, hotel can not fault, staff so friendly, meals a great selection and lovely, hotel very clean. Entertainment staff absolutely super, big shout out to judith. Thank you we will be back x
I can’t fault the hotel or staff it really is excellent for the price (jet2). We upgraded to the select package and it’s definitely worth it. Rooms - Having read the reviews we asked for a high floor room, and glad that we did. Lovely sea view. Big, clean rooms and bathrooms. The cleaning staff do an excellent job. Food - Excellent 4* food with so much choice. The pool snack bar makes a nice change from buffet 3 meals a day. Drinks - sometimes a queue but the Club Select means you have a private bar and lounge to get your own drinks which we really liked as there is a different selection in there. Pool - Yes the usual queue for sun loungers at 8.40am. The lifeguard is strict. No balls or floats in the pool. The only thing to let this hotel down is some of the English clientele who think it’s ok to blatantly ignore the rules. Some also need to keep a lid on the alcohol! Not the hotels fault!
Great location, all staff are excellent and a brilliant room. Will be coming again for our 7th visit
Fab hotel in a great spot in the middle between the New town and the Old town so beat of both … could not fault anything 🌞🌞… the usual fight with the towels in the morning around the pool but there is a spacious area away from the pool with plenty of sun beds too…
Excelente
No tengo ninguna queja
It was okay but didn't found food to great but lovely rooms and comfortable beds bit upset as sun didn't get round pool to early afternoon sit situated lovely in between old town and the strip wouldn't go back
The Hotel was fantastic and also the food and staff The cleaning staff were fantastic our room was cleaned every day and beds made. The bar staff were fantastic and the catering staff were there always when you needed some thing. There is only two points i would like to rec recommend: Please change the pillows to normal then a sausage pillow and sort the WiFi out. The Entertainment staff were very good always jolly and made you welcome in the day and night entertainment. Jet2 have picked a fantastic Hotel.
Lots to share , so I’ll start right now 😄some good and some bad. Pool area unclean during day, life guard clearing cups but needs regular staff circling, not the life guard. Around the pool area , no food is permitted, and boy does the lifeguard tell you, alongside coffee cups, and no ball games in the pool. Be ready for a dash at 8.45am with the saddos who have to have a pool side lounger but then don’t turn up for hours, ( this needs to be addressed, hotel should remove towels after 2 hrs If no one turns up ) All rushing for poolside but the terrace area was better and spacious. It does make good viewing in a morning from your balcony watching people run. Get use to pigeons. They love the pool area and found them aggressive 😂 Found a nail with red nail polish in between my bed sheets. Apart from this I can’t fault the maid, bed made every day and fresh towels. Safe is €3 a day, deposit for pool towels €10 which you get back upon return. Showers in the room weren’t great. It’s adults only but you forget until you have the younger generation shouting and playing loud music in their rooms ( walls thin) In the evening the boys on the bar work hard but look like they enjoy their jobs which is nice to see and the manager gets stuck in which is also nice to see. Food in the restaurant, Lots of variety but a lot of it over cooked ( like breakfast time and black pudding, I wouldn’t have been able to get my teeth through it) When we arrived we received a voucher to go to sister hotel for an Indian, Staff really nice but Indian lacked flavour. Snack bar is really good , chips / kebabs/ pizza & burgers. Entertainment, They work very hard, some of the shows like singers over and over that can’t sing was a little repetitive. All in all it’s a nice hotel, I wouldn’t return, I didn’t relax into adults only as I usually do, just for either being woken up early by girls shouting and singing , couples arguing , neither of which are the hotels fault but as I said , I didn’t relax and looked forward to my own bed at home.
Very good location. Staff were very friendly and nice.
More food variety at dinner with themed nights perhaps. They did this one of the nights but wasn’t great.
Review based on an 8 night stay in July. Room - we were on the 13th floor with a pool view. Our room was spacious with a huge bathroom, everything you would expect fridge, safe, toiletries etc. the view was amazing we could see the mountains and peacock island and everything in between, nice and quiet too. One problem with the bed was the reading light(see photo) it encroached over the bed so you had to be careful not to hit your head on it and it was far too bright so I couldn’t use it. A/C was more than adequate even on the lowest setting. Staff - They couldn’t do enough for you, always working and happy. Felt a bit sorry for Narnia having to work 10 days straight with double shifts thrown in. Had an issue with our cleaner, before breakfast we dropped some coins on the floor in our room by mistake so thinking we would pick them up when we returned after breakfast the maid had been in and tidied up taking the coins with her, at other hotels when this had happened anything the maid found was put on the side table for us. Just keep valuables out of sight. Reception staff were always helpful . Entertainment was good day and night. Food - Breakfast was horrible, either the food was undercooked or cremated. Cheap catering sausages, Spanish bacon was like glass and everything was dry and over cooked, I missed most mornings and waited till the kitchen was open by the pool, they had burgers, hotdogs, chips, fruit and kebabs all freshly made and delicious. Lunch was ok as was dinner but nothing special, one night I had duck and chips because there was nothing else I liked and I’m not a fussy eater but I didn’t fancy mashed potato and cauliflower cheese when it’s 30 degrees, even the churros was soft and undercooked. I liked that when you sat down a staff member would ask if you want a drink with your meal. It wasn’t always bad but I preferred to eat out in the evenings. Location - Perfect. 10 mins to everywhere, beach, Old town, the strip. you name it and you’re there. Lovely and quiet too. Few things that need improvement. The pool was like bath water, even though it’s in the shade till the early afternoon it wasn’t refreshing. You can’t get water after midnight, there’s a vending machine but no water fountain, as it’s all inclusive why do I have to pay again? People leaving towels on sun-loungers from 9am and not returning until 2pm, this is extremely selfish and unfair for other guests. The World Cup was shown in the downstairs entertainment room but there was no A/C or bar so we were all boiling hot and had to go upstairs if we wanted a drink, also the staff started to collect glasses during the game so kept getting in the way. All in all a nice break and had a great time.
We had a fantastic week at the Sandos Monaco. From check in to check out everything was excellent. Clean, comfy accommodation, friendly staff, lovely food and drinks, great daytime entertainment. Cold air con was welcome during the heatwave. We were there for the World Cup final which was an amazing experience.
What can I say - another excellent stay. We have been coming here for several years now and it never disappoints. Staff attentive, food excellent (especially given the volume of guests) and rooms cleaned daily - thanks to Pilar on our floor. I am looking forward to our next visit!
We found the hotel in perfect condition with a great team of friendly staff keeping it sparking clean at all times. Really great pool and large enough sunbathing area that was never full. The food was really good with lots of variety with different freshly cooked items at every meal. There was a dedicated area for vegetarian food with about three different dishes each day although if you are vegan there was very little choice from salad, pasta and fruit but I expect if you asked in advance they could offer something more. By the pool each day there were very nice freshly grilled Kebabs and Burgers. If you want to take back good food memories avoid the complimentary Indian meal at Sandos Suites. Yes, the restaurant and staff are absolutely amazing the food though is of a very poor level - basically Chicken, Lamb or Veg stew far below the standard at Sandos Monaco or indeed anywhere in Benidorm (if you do fancy an Indian ask Nicky for recommendations). All inclusive drink selection was very good and included a wide range of freshly made cocktails although sadly they did for 3 days run out of the ingredients to make Mojitos when we were there. The staff are amazing – everyone is so friendly and helpful. The energy from the entertainment team is both infectious and exhausting, especially Judiths Aqua aerobics! Amanda front of house was so helpful and knowledgeable as was Nicky who if you want somewhere to eat or something to do she knows everywhere to go based on years of experiences and lots of guest feedback. Location is perfect – not adjacent to any bars so very quiet in the day and evening and when you want the lively bars and entertainment, they are only a few mins walk away. The main long sandy beach is also only a few mins away. If you want to walk around the area it is generally flat with longer walks in either direction along the coast to the old town or Cala Tio Chimo. The Silver Select Lounge could have done with more frequent refreshes, particularly the Red Wine but again if you asked someone they were straight on it. Overall an exceptional stay and somewhere we will definitely be returning too.
Our second stay here. Just love it here ,staff so friendly and helpful. Food is great lots of choice something for everyone. Room was spotless, cleaned every day ( thank you (Rosita) . 5 minute walk to the beach. Half way between old and new towns. The complimentary Indian meal at the sister Sandos Suites is not to be missed. We had a fantastic week and will book for next year.
Very helpful friendly staff. No queuing for food or drink
The rooms were a little dated
Location really good close to beach and strip, food okay not the best. Air con in the rooms is weak at best and turns off when you open balcony doors which is annoying In the late morning, the cleaners drag the beds around on floors above and all you can hear is beds dragging on floor its very annoying Bit of a queue at the bar a lot The room was clean and cleaners made it nice coming in throughout our stay Vibes were generally good and staff nice Overall wouldnt stay again as cleaners noise dragging beds around too much, and the food was average at best
Nice hotel, great location, food excellent, so much choice and hot, didn't see entertainment. Pool too small for size of hotel and in shade until 12 o'clock. Rooms need updating
I love this hotel very clean and friendly food i very nice (well i think so ) staff are lovely very helpful near to old town and beach 5 mins away new town about 15 minutes walk
We stayed here on a short 4 night break in mid July. Centrally located in between Old Town and Strip. Food was of a good standard and nicely presented .Main pool doesn't get any sun until after midday so we couldn't understand why so many people seemed to try and get a bed around the pool. We thought the sun terrace was much better and had sun all day long from the off. 2 mins walk to pool if you wanted to cool off. The pool was a nice temperature. The jacuzzi wasn't always switched on for some reason. Friendly staff and good service always. We would stay here again for sure.
Excellent facilities. The cleanliness in every part of the hotel was great. The drinks and food choices were amazing and all the staff were very friendly. Treat yourself to a spa treatment whilst there, you won’t be disappointed.
The pictures don’t do this hotel justice, it far exceeded our expectations! We were 1 block away from the start of “the strip” which was close enough to walk to and far away enough from the noise! We were lucky enough to have a sea view on the 13 th floor. Our room was lovely, comfy beds and air con. Rooms were cleaned everyday, beds made and fresh towels. It was very quiet, just the odd chair scrape on the floor every now and then. Each and every member of staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for you! They all work hard keeping the guests happy and keeping the hotel spotless. The food was outstanding, I have been all inclusive many times and this hotel was by far the best. The vast choices sometimes made it impossible to decide what to eat. Themed nights, Sunday dinners, cooked breakfast, meat/fish fresh off the griddle, I could go on and on and on! I am a foodie so I don’t understand any negative views on the food unless you are an extremely fussy eater! There is also an outside snack bar which is fab too, all freshly cooked upon order. The pool area was very clean but you if you wanted a sun bed near the pool after 10am, your chances are slim! There are more sun beds on the patio area if you don’t want to be near the pool. The sun didn’t hit the pool area until 12pm ish (beginning of July) so this didn’t bother us too much. The pool doesn’t have a deep end which is fine with me, no diving or getting bombed by idiots! It was lovely and clean and warm. The lifeguard was great, any rowdiness or bad language (usually a guest complaint) he would have a diplomatic word with them! The entertainment people worked hard, there was always an activity to do from Darts to Archery, Water Volleyball to Aqua Aerobics! Night time entertainment was pretty much the same, music, singer, duo ETC. We did stay around the hotel once or twice, the rest of the time was spent exploring the strip and its wonderful sights!!! 🤣 I would highly recommend this hotel. The fact that it’s adults only is even better! I am already looking for my next holiday, I think I’ll be coming back to Sandos Monaco 🥰
Very chilled hotel, drinks on arrival, no issues at all, pool area small but extra sub beds available on the terrace, snack at the bar late at night. Paella and sangria tasting on the terrace , very nice too
We stayed for 7 nights on all inclusive. Our room was spotless, water was provided in the fridge for our arrival. The beds were comfortable, cleaning service everyday. The pool is shaded at times throughout the day due to surrounding buildings but the sun terrace gets full sun (it’s a 1min walk to the pool). Pool towels require a €10 deposit and can be changed at the spa everyday. The entertainment was very good and varied - singers, cabaret and disco until 12 every night. The food is amazing so much variety something different every night, you will get something you like. Breakfast even has real sausages! The snack bar at the pool has burgers, toasties, hotdogs, fries, kebabs and fresh fruit. The bar provides all drinks (some local brands which were fine). Take a water bottle as there are lots of machines to refill if you need more than a glass at a time. Staff are friendly and helpful. The location is within easy walking distance of the old town, the strip & Levante beach but far enough away that there is little noise at night.
Lovely, clean, modern and spacious hotel. Staff are incredible helpful and friendly. Great choice of both food and drink. If I have to moan about anything it would be the pillow on the bed. When I say pillow it it just one long one to share per double bed. Not so good when I only use one pillow but the husband like two.
The Buffet Food was very good most days but there were 2 days and we found the food not good maybe they should do a themed night some hotels we stayed in do this, the staff were all very friendly and helpful 😍the Bedroom we stayed in room no 203 this was very dowdy the decor and the furniture was well outdated my daughter and her husband stayed in another room and this was beautiful pity our room was not great Entertainment was fantastic there was something on every night they should think about doing Bingo as well they all love that overall we did enjoy our hols
Entertainment
Another amazing stay at SANDOS Monaco. 3rd time we’ve stayed here in 12 months. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, rooms cleaned spotlessly everyday. Food is amazing, always something for everyone. Perfect location. Snacks available through the day between meals. Honestly can’t recommend this hotel enough to people. All the staff make us feel welcome whenever we come. Will definately be back
Great location but this hotel gets it wrong at so many levels....see below 1. Reception too small for check in 2.Not enough staff overall 3. No evidence of patrolled security around the resort 4. Minimum age for all inclusive should be 18 AND NOT 16 who certainly cant take their drink to excess !!! 5 Smoking area right in front of entrance to pool area had to wade through tobacco smoke daily... awful !!! 6.no all inclusive basics such as soap in the bathroom coffee or tea bags or milk or tissues and one bottle of water in the fridge nothing else !!! 7. Absolutely no branded drinks at the bar you have to pay extra for them. 8. Internet wasn't constant Good points food was ok To summarie this hotel has so much potential but needs a management overhaul ASAP we won't be back im afraid .....uk couple review
Location, clean and staff were all lovely.
It was our first time at the Sandos Monaco hotel, but we will certainly be going back. It had everything; the staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the bedroom was lovely and clean. The hotel was very relaxing, and the entertainment was top class. The dining room was spacious food was first class
We have never gone to adult only hotel before so we thought we would try it and we liked our stay very much and will be back next year and you are all very friendly we also liked the spa and also the people that stayed as well were very friendly and also it is not very far to the main centre which we found good also the select club was very good and very clean the rooms were very clean and also liked the double beds as well which we found good
Enough good points to be worthy of a positive review. However is everything five star ? No it is definately not. To start, a very important piece of advice. Unlike rival hotels, the 'all inclusive' is only a small additional amount more than 'full board'. It is a much better deal. This was our second visit this year (and my second review of the place). To be fair there had been 1 or 2 improvements. The Sandos Monaco is situated in the middle of the Centro Area in Benidorm. One direction for the Old Town and the opposite direction for The Strip (British Zone). The Levante Beach is about a minute walk. As with ouy previous visit we went "top of the range" again. This gave us a very spacious high floor room, all inclusive package, access to the self service mini lounge (snacks and branded drinks), 2 free visits to the spa area and 1 entry to the Indian Restaurant. WHAT WAS GOOD/REALLY GOOD?? The room and the daily cleaning could not be faulted in any way. Big balconey with sea views. Safe. Air Conditioning. Flat screen TV. 2 very comfortable double beds. Fridge drinks included. Bath robes and slippers. Decent bathroom. Tea/Coffee facilities. The good cleaning was done every day, what ever time we left the room. The special guest longe, much improved this time. The snacks were fresher and were topped up. Compete range of soft and alcholic drinks, hot beverages and draught beer. There was always enough glasses or cups. The large terrace/pool area does get a lot of sun. It has a nice atmosphere. The "towells on chairs" problem was not as acute as previously. The Spa area, is a very unique experience. I have not seen anything like it before. A huge heated indoor pool area. with many different water massage possibilities. Includes Jacuzzi, Steam Room, Sauna Etc, WHAT WAS OK / BUT DEFINATELY NOT 5 STAR Restaurant Lunch / Dinner operation. The hotel is big, so it is a massive operation for the staff. Most of the time, the food is of a acceptable standard and quality. Given the reputation and reviews of the hotel, most would expect better. WHAT WAS NOT OK I am not the first to mention it, but easy winner of this catagory is the breakfast operation. Easily the worst of the Benidorm 4 star hotels. Guests are mainly British, so the British style breakfast is popular. The bacon is always stone cold, sitting in a pool of grease. and in 35 years of reviewing I have never seen fried eggs that are served in such terrible condition. Damaged, overcooked, rock hard, it is hard to imagine them being worse. Rival hotels would not serve breakfast of this standard. I did mention this in previous review, the reply suggested this would be sorted, but it has not. 2 STRANGE INCIDENTS The hotel does have a very laid back atmosphere, but two events that are worthy of mention. And both are connected to the Spa. Firstly, in the changing room area of the spa, I found a gold chain that had been left in the bottom of a locker. A very elegant and expensive looking piece and its weight suggested that it was almost certainly gold. I handed it in to reception and left our room number. The guy in reception seemed surprised that I handed it in, and also thought it was gold. We never heard another thing about it !!!!!!!!!! Secondly, on the final day, my partner went back the Spa alone. There is no supervision inside the Spa area, only at the entry point. Unfortunately there was a lone male guest that followed her all around the area, and to each treatment. So she got out and left early. Not sure how relevent the 2 above points are, but they both stick in the mind. GENERAL OVERVIEW Big repuations and top reviews create very high expectations. Standards should be measured against the best hotels and not the worst ones. Be it noted there are many good positive reviews of this hotel. The hotels gets masses of reviews, and due to the new Trip Advisor format, the less than favourable reviews get quickly drowned out. Before, if you wanted, you could click on to only 5 star (or only 1 star) reviews, to get a full picture. Now you can not.
The hotel is amazing...all the people working hete are so lovely and helpful ... Nice coffee and breakfast platters..... Would absolutely recommend to anyone who would like to visit adult only Benidorm hotels...
Bueno
Los colchones de las camas y la bañera
Very clean Every thing u need
Nothing to report
Overview: This was the second time we stayed here, previously was about 10 years ago and we had better memories than this new stay. The hotel is adequate but the feeling I had was it lacked good management and attention to detail. We won't stay here again but I wouldn't say it's a bad hotel. I know we all have different opinions but I do feel the 5 star reviews are extraordinarily kind. Location: Brilliant location and one of best selling points of hotel. Short walk to beach and ideally placed for Old Town or Levante. Rooms: Best description I can give is 'Functional' but does need modernising. We had a Deluxe Select Room and it was good size but balcony small. Air con was fine and cleaning ok although floor always appeared not particularly clean. Strange obsession with hiding bins under furniture, in the bathroom the flip top bin is always placed under the stool so you can't access it and the bedroom bin under the chair so you can't find it! Safe wasn't set correctly when we arrived but Reception resolved that quickly. Fridge was ok but you had to really bang it shut to get it sealed properly. Walk in shower nice but nowhere to place your own shower gel or shampoo easily. We were on top floor (16) and not bad views (mainly tower blocks but a sliver of sea) and lifts were slow but could have been worse. Food: Was very average. This is where there seems poor management or common sense, an example was they did a Roast Dinner and by the Beef (which was like eating your own shoes) were Yorkshire Puddings, Gravy, and some Veg. Then there was Pasta, Chips, and Pizza in that section. Weird. Then over the other dining section, which is quite sperate, there were more Veg and Roast Potatoes. Why not put them all together? Move the chips to where the Roast Potatoes were and make an effort for your diners. The egg station was one of poorest we have had, chef hardly there and the omelettes were well undercooked, also this hotel seems to not know what mushrooms are as there wasn't any our entire stay for breakfast or dinner. Fried eggs were normally cooked well in advance and not to order which was disappointing. Table service massively hit and miss. I thought you had to get your own drinks but very occasionally a waiter would come over and ask or see you getting your own wine and explain they would serve it for you. It feels very canteen in the restaurant, not a massive issue but it never really felt like a nice evening meal. One shout out to a waitress that made a very nice gesture (think her name was Winner). My wife had a very bad cough and she came over and gave her a glass of water and gave her a lovely squeeze of the shoulders. Clearing plates away was very slow as was replenishing the food. Entertainment: Just my opinion but very poor. Didn't engage in day activities so can't comment on them but they looked basic. Evening entertainment was rubbish (Joe King, you must be joking the guy literally can't sing!). The best example of how poor it was (including poor decision making) was when the World Cup started. They made a big deal of this, put decorations up, had a big screen outside with the Opening Ceremony, etc. Great I thought, right up my street, and was looking forward to the opening game. Sat outside watching the preparation to the game on the nice big screen then we got told the actual game would be shown downstairs. Strange but they have a nice entertainment bar downstairs (Metropole I think its called) so that could work with nice air-con. Oh no, it was the room next to that, which was like a café style set up with a few tables and chairs and a screen no bigger than what we all had in our rooms! We and others just walked out as the screen was too small for the number of people wanting to watch and there was nowhere to get a drink. Why make such a big deal of the World Cup and then make such a silly decision like that for the actual game (maybe they changed this as when we were leaving it appeared they advertised games were in the Metropole). We went back upstairs and the entertainment they had moved us all for was a 'World Cup Music Quiz' and the 'Hotel Entertainers' dancing to music!! None of that used the massive screen they had which could have shown the football, bizarre and when you mentioned it to the entertainment team they didn't seem to understand what was wrong! One final note, last time we were at the hotel all evening entertainment was in the Metropole bar, move it back would be my decision. Its a good space, air-con, and a nice bar. I appreciate the nice weather means you can have it outside but all you get is smokers ruining it for everyone as if you sit outside you get second hand smoke all night. Drinks: We were Select and maybe was worth it but not sure. The Select Lounge is ok, but some of the drinks we had access to the non-select customers also had behind the bar (branded drinks). The bar staff were perfunctory but nothing more and in the main non-select bar there could be a bit of a queue at busy times. Spa: We had x 2 free vouchers for this and used x 1. Its nice enough, I am slightly surprised though that they have no life guard around. When we booked we were told to bring a towel and sandals or similar. When we got there we were told we also needed money for the locker and swimming cap that was never mentioned. They gave us the money for the locker as you get it back after. Staff: One area I was really disappointed with and I have never experienced before was a lack of class with my wife's birthday. I made them aware it was her birthday when we were there and they did nothing at all to acknowledge this. Everywhere we have been they have done at least something small like a birthday card, birthday cake, bottle of bubbly, etc. I appreciate not an obligation but just a small gesture goes a long way. For me that summed up the hotel, it feels they are complacent and rely on previous good reviews that likely make their overall score look better than the current experience actually is. They could make small changes that would show they do care and are considerate of their customers experiences but I never saw that. Staff in general were nice and we found Reception good on the whole although when we asked them to order a taxi for us to the local Winery the taxi that turned up didn't know where they were going! Pool: Didn't use it once. Weird position as gets little sun until much later in day and always seemed a range of sunbeds taken (the usual with not so many people using them!). Pool bar was ok for food but wouldn't serve drinks which was bit odd. The food was ok and had decent selection but kebab could have been hotter. Sunbeds in general were limited but usually obtainable.
Simpatia dos funcionários.
Falta de higiene nas zonas de alimentação..
Two weeks in sandos Monaco, fourth and last time, over last three years I have asked why a hotel will put caviar on at breakfast but not English bacon, answer everytime is they have to cater for all nationalitys, but by far the majority of guests are English,30euros for the safe and a paper that says they are not responsible for any loss if broken into,if it's all inclusive why charge extra the agua Azul and princessa don't and the select room which we used first visit, wife does not drink so if I wanted branded drinks I still had to pay for both of us ,eight euro a day extra a bit dear or£16 for two, food was good on the whole only gripe was breakfast bacon and tomatoes, staff very good friendly hotel clean but it's the same in all benidorm 4stars outside hotel looks good but local people exercis there dogs down there and dog mess is all over the soil under the trees, hotel should pressure the council it smells, this hotel needs to alter things, there are plenty to choose from in benidorm a shame as the location is good but I was annoyed at having to go out for breakfast every day an extra eighty euros for us,so will save £110 on food and safe next year by going elsewhere.hotel entertainment not changed for years go for more than a week and first weeks entertainment comes around again so next year will be giving it a miss
After arriving very late in the evening, we checked in and our room was on 16th Floor. However there was no tea bags or milk or coffee in the room which was a massive disappointment to me when we was worn out and tired. There was a kettle and empty cups in the room. One litre bottle of water in fridge when there should be at least 2. The hotel itself was fine and food was okay. I would not go back to that hotel again.
The hotel is in a great location , a few mins to the beach and near also to the Old Town. The staff were friendly, the hotel was clean and comfortable and the bedroom and bathroom were a good size. We thought the food was very good, plenty of choice and I would think something to suit everyone. For us the only downside was the evening entertainment. It is pretty poor, having said that there are plenty of bars and entertainment venues nearby so it’s not a huge problem. Also getting a sunbed can be a problem as the hotel seem to allow people to leave towels on them for long periods of time. Some guests admitted to going into the town for several hours!! Having said that, I would still recommend this hotel.
Stayed here for a week the room was nice clean and the air-conditioning worked well needed it as it was literally 40° outside disappointed with the breakfast quality and the chef that cut the omelettes fresh needs lessons in hygiene he was handling food with bare hands wiping the sweat off his brows, not washing his hands and then grabbing raw meat, which he then threw on the hot plate with your egg to make an omelette. Let’s say I didn’t eat it never went back for breakfast again. My wife had a raw burger from the snack bar by the pool and the pool was very cold. Staff very friendly reception staff were very helpful. We hide out a double buggy for the week and had great fun. Recommend getting one yourself to see the sites are better on overall wouldn’t come back just because of the pool area not being big enough but worth a stay.
Friendly staff. Lovely accommodation. Extremely clean. Great customer relations team, who are helpful and offer advice as well as support. I would definitely return. I would also like to say, I would feel safe and happy to visit the hotel as a single female. Food was great, good selection. Room service was above and beyond. Really I could not ask for more…

Just got home from another amazing stay at this amazing hotel. Everyone made us feel so welcome again ☺️. The lovely thing for us this time was talking to so many guests who had never stayed here before, or had never even been to Benidorm before and how much they were blown away how fantastic it was. Everyone works non stop to make sure that you have a great time. If you visit the Sandos, just take a moment to see how hard the staff work. Thanks again to Nicky in reception and all the Sandos team. Superb
Sandos Monico Benidorm. June 2026 Fabulous 6 days away. Great hotel. Perfect position for old and new town. Lovely food and drinks. Didn’t like the baked beans a breakfast ( cheap) or the garlic tomato sauce in the morning at breakfast. All other his was fabulous, it was also hot. Great drinks at the bar with a lot of named makes. Loved all the wine , especially the pink Cava. Which was always available in the reception area. Nice pool and sunbathing area. The pool didn’t get sun on it until 1pm. Didn’t like the amount of pigeons around the sunbathing area there was a lot. Loved the food around the pool which included kebabs delicious. The staff were very friendly especially those in the restaurant, always smiling. The man at the restaurant door was particularly friendly. Rooms nice 👍 air con good. Hairdryer attached to wall in the bathroom. You can hire safe and hire towels from the spa €10 refundable deposit. Entertainment good. Loved the fact you can get food up to midnight which is great. Bottle of water in the room on arrival. Close to beach 🏖️. Would stay again.
Clean Large bedroom and bathroom Staff friendly Plenty of sun beds Vending machines View
Cold pool I’m shade Entertainment never came to sun bed area to ask us to join in. Dark and dangerous corridors to bedrooms.
Sandos relax top drink, excelent location.
Buffet could be better but its not bad.
Good breakfast.
Just returned from Sandos Monaco Hotel. Had a fantastic 10days holiday. All staff are so friendly. Hotel is spotlessly clean. Our room was on 14th floor brilliant views overlooking sea and Dove Island. Our room was cleaned daily and change of towels also daily. Very spacious. We had use of the Spa and Sauna 3 times during our stay. Also Indian restaurant at sister hotel. We do upgrade, well worth it with lots of advantages. Meals were ok. Plenty of choices to choose from. Loved the salads, pizzas and fresh fruit. We had snacks at lunch time from pool bar. Hotel is close to the Old Town, so ideally situated. Certainly recommend.
Lovely hotel, very friendly staff. We went all inclusive, which saved a lot of rushing about. We had a meal at the Indian restaurant at the Sandos' sister hotel as part of our booking - well worth a visit - and also the well being package including a spa session, and my very first massage! We went last year, and will definitely be going next year. Thank you for a lovely holiday experience!
Great hotel, animation team, staff and choice of food. The hotel was very clean room we were in was spacious & clean . The animation team were friendly, staff in the restaurant were polite& helpful , bar staff were good as was the snack bar , overall we enjoyed this hotel and will be back
Het eten was goed en ruim voldoende. Het personeel was vriendelijk. Hotel ligt vrij centraal, vlakbij het strand en de oude stad.
On the welcome letter it states that sunbeds should not be reserved however that discipline is not adhered to or monitored!! It is not fair that that when you are on holiday that the need for a relaxing holiday is marred by the need to have to get up in the morning to find a place in the sun because all the sun spots are taken up with towels nobody is sitting on!!
Lovely hotel in a quiet area but right on the doorstep of the very lively strip. Food and drinks were excellent and all staff very friendly. It was roasting here last week but pool never warmed up, serious design flaw putting pool that side, would have been much better where terrace is to get sun on it all day rather than just part of it! Bath needed a mat and more rails tho as was slippy stepping up to step out
This was our 3rd stay at Sandos Monaco Hotel and Spa in Benidorm and it won’t be our last. This is an adult only hotel. Just got back from this hotel with my hubby. The location was based down 2 streets away from the beach with a slight hill climb going back. The rooms were lovely. Stayed on the 15th floor on a Select all inclusive basis. The room and bathroom was always kept spotless. Thanks to Irene and the other housekeeping. The only thing I can say on a negative note about the room was that the WiFi signal wasn’t very good. Other areas of the hotel were much better. The Select Lounge was very good and could go in and help yourself to premium drinks, different coffees and snacks. Lovely aircon when it was a bit too hot outside. This was an upgrade at a cost per person, per night. With select you also got a free spa pool voucher, bubbly on ice, drinks in the fridge, a free gift, free room safe, bath robes and slippers. Personally, we felt it was very good value. I had a lovely massage and facial in the spa. Over 2 hours and once completed, felt so relaxed. Highly recommend! Also went to the inside pool area where there was a jacuzzi, relaxation seats, sauna, detox and steam room. Mood lighting was lovely and relaxing. You need a euro for the locker areas and deposits are needed for towels. The food was buffet style with plenty of choice. Different options each day. Bravo to all the restaurant staff. In the pool area during the day until 6om, you could have snacks like, Cheeseburgers, pizzas, kebabs, salads, and Spanish Sausage. This was great if you were at the poolside and didn’t want to head down to the restaurant. There's an inside bar next the pool. This was always busy, and felt there was a slight flaw here. I felt for the bar staff as they sometimes got flack from hotel guests queuing long to get a drink. This was sometimes due to guests asking for coffee and soft drinks, rather than serving alcoholic beverages. Coffee sometimes took a while to make, while queuing got longer. A suggestion that a coffee machine and a soft drinks machine could be put in there for self service. That way, the bar staff won’t feel so overwhelmed and guests kept happier? The bar staff worked their socks off to try and keep guests happy. The entertainment girls were lovely. So friendly and funny. Plenty of entertainment if you want to join in. The entertainment lounge also has a bar. Well done to the entertainment team for their hard work and long hours. The reception team were also fab. They were so helpful if you had any questions about your stay or queries on the surrounding areas. The check in and out was fast and didn’t take long at all. There wasn’t an iron or board in our room, however, asked at reception and they got that organised. There’s a 20 euro deposit for this and is refunded once returned. Thanks to Adriana who I had emailed before our stay, to ask some queries. She was brilliant at answering them and made us feel so welcome. I hope I haven’t missed anyone or anything out. We just loved our time here and there was a chilling and relaxing vibe to it. We were sad to leave, but looking forward to seeing you all again hopefully soon. Thank you, it was wonderful.
Great location
Busy!
Go every year - always look forward to it. Staff are brilliant although the bar service can take time especially when people want hot drinks. A few years ago there used to be self service coffee at the end of the bar. I don't know why they stopped this.
I want to thank Adriana on behalf of my family who did everything that she could to try and help us after finding out that Royal Elite had cancelled our reservation for three rooms over six nights on us without us knowing after we had arrived from Canada!! Adriana and her team were sympathetic to our situation and showed genuine care and concern and provided us beautiful rooms before we had to leave after two nights and find room availability elsewhere. They gave us free parking for the week even though we would not be at their resort all week. The entertainment was amazing as well!! Thank you very much Adriana and team!!!
La tranquilidad, la limpieza y la amabilidad y profesionalidad de todos los empleados.
Me disgusto un poco la tardanza en recoger los vasos de las mesas a veces estaban todas con vasos usados.
Love everything about sandos our 15th year
Nothing !
El spa y la atención de los camareros muy buenos.
Poca duracion del karaoke
Location
La comida muy buena. Además nada de colas a la hora de coger y mucha tranquilidad en el comedor
Great location
Was expensive closer to time or stay vs comparable hotels
Central and a 2 min walk to the beach. Clean throughout and quiet late on when you’re trying to sleep. Food was alright, let’s down slightly but not terrible at all. Just mid average what you’d expect
Rooms were tidy and clean but could do with updating possibly
Good selection of food offered, well prepared, displayed with precision.
A little more soundproofing in bedrooms
Great location. Booked all inclusive and select package which includes 2 x spa access and premium drinks in private room, free safe, fizz on arrival and stocked mini bar well worth the upgrade. Communal areas are modern and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean but.... We found our room to be dated and the bathroom definitely needed a revamp as bath and shower looked grubby. Food was lovely plenty of choice. Definitely would return.
Lovely place
Some of the evening entertainment
Excellent friendly staff. So relaxing. Reception staff so helpful. Bar and restaurant staff Excellent. We loved our stay . Thankyou all. Carol & Wendy. Room 1013
Excellent value for money however it is the brilliant staff that make this hotel so pleasant especially Judith the in-house entertainer who will bring a smile to anyone's face 😀
A guest at Sandos almost 20 times, This year the room was perfectly fine. Sandos is a good hotel with very friendly staff and food to suit everyone's taste. The only downside is not receiving loyalty points if you don't book directly and that the safe is chargeable. During this stay, there were a few guests who couldn't resist secretly vaping inside; it is very disturbing for non-smokers. They were warned multiple times by the staff that this was not allowed, but it had no effect. This needs to be dealt much more strictly. The only downside is not receiving loyalty points unless you book directly and that the safe is chargeable ;-).
Great Hotel, staff excellent , the location is great being between old town and new town area two streets from sea front great views from higher floors our favourite is 16. the double beds are super comfy. The food is well displayed but not always hot , certain sections the plates were cold but not always, the entertainment was a little repetitive in the evenings sometimes with good acts and poor acts doing the same thing but overall very good only a short walk to new and old town overall an Excellent Hotel !
Fantastic 8 days at the Sandos Monaco Great location food and drink spot on Staff polite and knowledgeable Would definitely recommend
Food and drink great
Some of entertainment not good
Lovely place atmosphere great.. lovely food and great drinks, staff are amazing and rooms are spotless
Atmosphere and food .

Lovely clean and tidy hotel. Staff are lovely and friendly. The food is basic not much variety but it is out of season. But the food is nice. The entertainment in the evening is great. Definitely worth watching. The singers sing lots of variety music from 70s upto today. Definitely go back there again if I visit benidorm
Weather wasn't the best and it showed up the lack of indoor activities. If you're not into gyms or spas the facilities are lacking. There is a pool table but it's locked up during the day. There were no entertainment staff around to organise anything other than drinking, a game of bingo a quiz or even a game of darts would have relieved the boredom.
Just returned from another fantastic stay at the Sandos Monaco, we've written many reviews and said it all before. But this holiday was just as good as ever and maybe even better 😊. If you're planning on visiting Benidorm and are looking for a hotel, then we Can't praise this place enough. Thanks again to the wonderful staff 😀. See you in June.
An outstanding hotel. Excellent location, close to Old Town, beach and main strip. There is a superb choice of delicious food, the outside pool area is immaculate. Our room was comfortable and clean. Most of all, the staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. This was our 2nd visit, we will definitely go back. Highly recommend.
