Our room was quiet and comfortable after long days touring Amsterdam. We would have enjoyed a more robust selection of viewing options on the TV, like full length movies or movie channels. We got a bit confused about the environmentally sensitive messaging from housekeeping. If we don't want the towels changed every day we simply hang them up at home hotels, but housekeeping still comes in to make up the beds and tidy up. The Movenpick message seemed to say 'we won't come by at all if you hang the sign on the door.' Water refills every day didn't happen because of that, I guess.

We left our boat in the rain and walked to the hotel. We were very drenched when we got to the hotel and asked for early check in. Then I was asked, "Do you want an upgrade?" "No", I said. I was a bit confused about what an upgrade would accomplish. An early check in? So we waited till 3pm. The front desk seemed very indifferent, but the guy at the concierge desk was very helpful to us, securing our bags till check in and offering information. Housekeeping did not speak English, so we were unable to communicate with them as we don't speak Dutch.

The room view was spectecular. The location was perfect. The staff was very kind and professional.

Die Lage war super. Das Hotel war gut mit dem Auto zu erreichen und vor Ort alles entspannt zu Fuß oder z. B. via hop on hop of per Bus und Schiff erreichbar, die Straßenbahn hält vor der Haustür. Alle Mitarbeiter waren super freundlich und trotz der vielen Gäste kam nie Stress auf. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und das Frühstück ließ für uns keine Wünsche offen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Den tollen Blick vom 20. Stock auf die Stadt möchte ich auch noch hervor heben, das haben wir sehr genossen.

Çok kirliydi heryer. Dolapların içinde bir parmak toz vardı mesela. Heryeri kendimiz sildik. Yatak çok rahatsızdı. Daha kötü yastıkları olan bir otel görmedim. Ayrıca şehir merkezine yakın falan değil. Önündeki yola çıkmak bile bir hayli zaman alıyor. Toplu taşımayla gitmek de birşey değiştirmiyor. Yine uzak yine uzak.

Modern and simple design and clean good size rooms. And nice view. Perfect location.

Plastic flowed in reception and at the tables in the breakfast room, an expensive hotel so lot use that. Ir is cheap looking. Coffee and tea station in the room was strangely positioned and no cups beside it. No wine glasses.

Die geniale Lage

De ligging en de ruime kamer. We kregen een gratis upgrade naar een kamer met zicht op de stad en op een hogere verdieping. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid.

De hulp aan de receptie. Ik vroeg in het Nederlands hoe we het best naar de IJ-hallen konden gaan. De oersoon aan de receptie verstond ons niet want ze kon enkel Engels. Toen we het in het Engels vroegen, snapte ze het ook niet direct en ik vroeg dan of we de boot moesten nemen en het antwoord was: zoek het op op Google Maps. We hebben 1 avond in het restaurant gegeten en we hadden iets simpels genomen: een hamburger en een pasta. We hebben meer dan 50 minuten moeten wachten op ons eten. Er werd ons wel een gratis ijsje aangeboden hiervoor.

Delicious breakfast, excellent view of harbour and train station to keep our transport enthusiast child occupied looking out of the window (view from other direction would have been less interesting so request city view). Staff -particularly at breakfast- were so kind and accommodating. Good location, walking distance into the centre but slightly quieter as hotel is slightly out of the main area so better for sleep.

Everything was fine! the facilities are modern, the rooms are just what you need and with beautiful sights. The breakfast is very complete and delicious.

Only two things, there is a non pleasant smelling in the lobby and in the bathrooms from the lobby, maybe something to check, and there was a receptionist at the reception who was not very kind, she looked like annoyed evetime I asked her a question or called her because there was nobody at the luggage desk and I needed to pick up my luggage.

It's a bit of a walk, maybe 20 mins or so, to central station, canal boats etc.

The location was ideal for the Cruise Terminal but it was very difficult to access trams if you are not able to walk long distances or climb stairs.

Location. We could not easily access busses or teams to explore the city.

A special thank  to the lady CARLOTTA who works at the hotel restaurant. She was very helpful and treated my family with great respect. My sincere appreciation and gratitude to this dedicated woman.

I did enjoy my trip to Amsterdam, however,  I didn't enjoy my stay at Movenpick Hotel. The hotel is not as good as the Movenpick hotels in other places in terms of facilties, room furniture ... etc. I had asked for late check out and they asked me for 25 Euro per hour. They said, because the hotel is fully booked. How come, if it is really fully booked, I must check out directly even with extra charge. There is no credibility.

We purchased the breakfast and it was excellent.

Location is perfect as a cruise terminal depot. Hotel was clean and room was nicely appointed. Staff were friendly and attentive to our request. Breakfast buffet was much better than expected, the selection surprised us. My son loved the automatic pancake maker.

Since it’s close to cruise ships it means seeing the city sites or selection of restaurants was a little further out. Keeping this in mind helps if staying for multiple days.

Perfect location right next to cruise port entry. Walking from Amsterdam Central train station. Clean, quiet and comfortable!

Rooms were spacious, hotel was very clean and there was ample space in the lobby, bar and breakfast rooms. Front desk was very courteous.

Location is slightly away from the city core but trams are easy to get into centre. Also had occasional cruise traffic as large boats moor just by the side of the hotel.

Otel gerçekten harikaydı. Otele check in saatinden erken varmamıza rağmen bizi hemen odamıza aldılar. Ayrıca girişte oğluma da oyuncak hediye ettiler. Oda hem ferah hem de çok temizdi. Manzarası da mükemmeldi. Avrupada kaldığım en güzel manzaralı otel olduğunu rahatlıkla söyleyebilirim. Kısacası mükemmel bir oteldi.

Tren garına elinde valizle yürümek için birazcık uzak. Ayrıca otelin bir eksisi sayılmaz ama önünde bekleyen taksiler çok pahalı.

Die Lage des Hotels mit dem Ausblick ist einfach toll! SBahn direkt vor der Tür. Zimmer sauber. Frühstücksbuffet mit sehr großer Auswahl und frischen Zutaten. Mitarbeiter nett.

Nur ein Pancake Gerät beim Frühstück ist zu wenig, Schlange groß. Zweimal hatten wir einen nicht so freundlichen Concierge erwischt, das waren aber die Ausnahmen. Anregung: im Fitnessraum sollte man die Wandlampen etwas höher anbringen, damit man beim Joggen etc. nicht direkt in die Lampe schauen muss. Und eine (kaputte) Bodenmatte war zu wenig. Das dritte Bett (Schlafsofa) war ziemlich unbequem und hat ständig gequietscht.

Although a twin room was requested, and confirmed I would have, we were allocated a double room. Front desk staff quickly resolved and we were moved to a twin room, but this shouldn't have happened.

Alles sauber , nahe Lage ins Zentrum , nettes Personal , Kühlschrank war immer neu befüllt . Und zimmerdamen haben sehr sauber geputzt .

Jolie chambre spacieuse et très propre, avec une belle vue sur la ville et le bras de mer. Lit confortable, avec une climatisation silencieuse. Atmosphère très paisible. A proximité de la gare, des quartiers touristiques et d'une station de tram.

Lorsque nous marchions le long du quai, nous avions dû un peu chercher comment accéder à la porte d'entrée de l'hôtel en bas, lors de notre première fois dans l'hôtel. Mais nous avons vite trouvé tout de même !

Çalışanlar genel olarak kötüydü. Resepsiyon çalışanları çok kötü güleryüz ve nezaket sıfır. Esat bey ve ekibine teşekkürler. Ayrıca kat temizlik görevlileri suratsız ve temizlik yeterince iyi değil çok eksik vardır. Su problemi vardı. Çöpler alınmamış ve temizlik gelişi güzel yapılmış. Bir daha geleceğim bir otel değil.

Location was very good either just one stop to the Centre or just 15-20 minutes by walk, a perfect view from the room, personnal was very helpful..

Our room was located on the 18th floor, so the view was amazing. The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was varied and delicious. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Ubicación excelente cerca de estación central y centro de la ciudad, trato excepcional de todo el staff del hotel (detalles diarios con nuestra hija y todo el personal siempre dispuesto a ayudar con una sonrisa), habitación confortable sin ningún ruido que permite buen descanso. Nos ha gustado todo.

Por decir algo, la almohada algo incómoda (aunque para la segunda noche ya estábamos adaptados a ella). Nada relevante.

Am stat întro cameră mare, cu vedere, situată la etajul 16 (din 20...), la o stație de Gara Centrală, cu un mic dejun efectiv fabulos (foarte divers, un bucătar putea găti la cerere ceea ce doreau clienții), care se putea lua în trei spații diferite cu vedere spre trei zone diferite ale orașului.

Să mai fi stat câteva zile peste cele șapte nopți rezervate...

Lovely location right on the water, easy walk or tram in to centre and nice to be out of the hustle and bustle. Lovely swings at the end of the boardwalk for watching the sunset. Kids were made to feel welcome and breakfast was excellent, staff friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was excellent - great selection. Room clean and spacious, air conditioning worked well. Complimentary water and fridge were very welcome in the hot weather.

Only minor comment really - the water pressure wasn’t great in the shower (18th floor). Not really anywhere to eat in the area so need a reservation if you plan to eat in restaurant.

La posizione dell’hotel se arrivi in auto è molto comoda e funzionale. Ha un parcheggio pubblico convenzionato proprio all’ingresso hotel. Colazione molto ricca e di ottima qualità, così come il ristorante all’interno dell’hotel. Lo staff è molto disponibile e gentile, vi consiglio una cena da loro.

Un giorno, pur non ave do lasciato appeso il non disturbare, si sono dimenticati di pulire la stanza, facendoci attendere più di 30 minuti x avere gli asciugamani puliti.

Insgesamt war unser Aufenthalt im Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam in Ordnung. Die Zimmer waren sauber und das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besonders positiv hervorheben möchte ich das wirklich sehr gute Frühstücksbuffet. Auch das Abendessen in der Bar können wir empfehlen. Ein Nachteil ist die Lage direkt an den Bahnstrecken. Trotz der grundsätzlich guten Zimmer war es dadurch nicht wirklich ruhig. Sehr ärgerlich war für uns außerdem die Parksituation vor dem Hotel. Bei der Ankunft stand unser Auto für etwa zehn Minuten im Bereich vor dem Hotel, während ich eingecheckt habe. Ich hatte dem Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption ausdrücklich gesagt, dass unser Auto dort kurz steht und wir anschließend direkt in die bereits für 72 Stunden gebuchte Parkgarage fahren. Leider wurde ich nicht darauf hingewiesen, dass bereits dieser kurze Zeitraum von der Stadt Amsterdam als gebührenpflichtiges Parken gewertet wird. Das Ergebnis war ein Parkgebührenbescheid von rund 80 €. Natürlich liegt die Parküberwachung nicht in der Verantwortung des Hotels. Gerade weil die Situation vor dem Hotel den Mitarbeitern aber bekannt sein dürfte, hätte ich mir bei meinem ausdrücklichen Hinweis einen kurzen Warnhinweis gewünscht. Gästen, die mit dem Auto anreisen, würde ich daher dringend empfehlen, direkt in die Garage zu fahren und erst danach einzuchecken. Abgesehen davon war das Hotel insgesamt ordentlich, mit sehr gutem Frühstück, gutem Essen und freundlichem Personal.

Great views from the room. Nice food. Lovely rooms.

Too expensive for the quality. It was very nice but it wasn’t the kind of service that you would expect for the price. Had to wait for a while to get our stored luggage as there was no concierge. Our dinner took at least half an hour longer than it should have. No-one cleared our plates for ages and then didn’t ask if we’d like dessert. Then it was difficult to get someone’s attention to get the bill. That was pretty frustrating even though the staff were lovely once we got their attention. They simply were not that busy and were chatting amongst themselves some of the time when we would have liked their assistance.

Die Ausstattung des Fitnessraums könnte einen Sicherheits- (wackelnder Crosstrainer/Hantelbank) und Ausstattungscheck gebrauchen.

Ein gutes Zimmer, ein schöner Blick (je höher, je besser) Tolle fußläufige Anbindung an die Stadt. Nachts angenehm ruhig. Man konnte helfen einen Baum zu pflanzen, indem man das Zimmer nicht zwischendurch reinigen lässt. Tolle Aktion! Tolles vielfältiges Frühstück mit Honig direkt aus der Waabe, viele Süße Speisen, viel frisches Obst, eine lange Theke mit Warmspeisen, viele verschiedene Brötchen, viele verschiedene Getränke-warm und kalt, eine pancake Maschine.

Die Tür zum Bad war eine Schwenktür aus Milchglas, in beide Richtungen bedienbar, aber nie ganz zu. Überall eine Lücke-für manche Situationen unangenehm. Auch nachts unpraktisch, wegen der Licht-Situation. Der Duschkopf war defekt/ nicht festschraubbar: Es kam auch Wasser aus dem Griff, die Toilette plätscherte etwas im Ruhezustand. Wenn das Hotel sich dem Umweltschutz angeschlossen hat…etwas ungewöhnlich. In dem Fall auch die Anwesenheit einer Klimaanlage, die nur mit geöffnetem Fenster sich ausschalten ließ. Sauberkeit war ok, hier und da eine Staubflocke in den Ecken, aber insgesamt nicht unhygienisch vom Eindruck.

Họ giữ 500 CHF của tôi làm tiền cọc. Đến khi tôi phải rời đi tôi yêu cầu chủ nhà có mặt để check out cho tôi sau đó trả lại tôi tiền cọc thì họ cứ khăng khăng yêu cầu tôi rời đi trước và sẽ hoàn tiền cho tôi sau. Tôi cảm thấy như vậy không thoải mái vì tôi đã phải rời đi mà chưa nhận lại được tiền cọc. Nếu chủ nhà không hoàn lại tiền thì tôi cũng đã đi đất nước khác và không thể làm được gì. Tôi mong chủ nhà có thể khắc phục điểm này thì nhiều những khách hàng khác như tôi cũng sẽ yên tâm hơn. Chỉ có duy nhất một điều này tôi không hài lòng thôi còn mọi thứ đều tốt. À còn 1 điều nữa là phòng hơi nóng mà chỉ có quạt không có điều hoà. Giá như có 1 cái điều hoà di động nữa thì thật là tuyệt vời.
