The Hotel is central, and easy to find. It is only a short walk from any bus stop, and Lime Street/Central Stations. Staff were very polite and helpful, and were always there to help. The room was very clean with the exception of a few hairs, however nothing major at all. The window provided good ventilation and the temperature was great. The large TV provided with smart apps was also brilliant. The Breakfast was very nice and fresh, with plenty to choose from.
It could get a little noisy at night, but this is to be expected in a central location. Closing the window helps. Pillows in our particular room were a little flat, but were adequately comfortable and we slept well. Beds otherwise were excellent. Housekeeping tended to chat quite loudly outside the rooms in the morning, this wasn’t an issue for us but if you’re someone who likes to sleep in a little later then this could possibly keep you awake. The door to access the room areas/corridors that usually requires key to access could just be pulled open, a potential security risk but nothing to worry about massively.
We have visited Liverpool many times and will keep doing… it’s the best place and best value for money and perfect location The breakfast was amazing and as for the staff they were absolutely lovely… Especially Natasha nothing is too much trouble… we won’t be staying anywhere else but Sir Thomas in future 🥰
Love this Hotel secound time staying. No complaints. Loved the new system with brekfast. Staff are all wonderfull as always. Defintly recomend 10/10. Thank you to Sir Thomas Hotel for the lovely stay thank you again to all the staff.
The only thing I didn't like was a little crall space hatch in the bathroom is slitly open in room 209. Couldnt close it. This is nothing just a personal promblem. Everything was lovely cosy room big enough for two.
Accommodation was good, comfortable bed, plenty of hot water, large television, pleasant staff.
I asked for a quiet room but instead of being assigned one with a window facing the inner courtyard, I was given one on a busy street. I expected some noise as Liverpool is a busy city so specifically asked for a quiet room.
Location
Breakfast
Location easy access to theatre and Lime St Station, only about 10 - 15 min walk. Comfy lounge and bar area with a good selection of drinks. Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast and tasty paninis. Quiet clean room with a bathroom with walk in shower.
Nothing it met all my expectations and we look forward to our next visit,
General Manager is well aware and still has not replied to my email that she requested I sent to her on Monday 14th September
Filthy place
The history was really interesting. Fabulous building.
Bar shut early, 10 pm and had to go elsewhere for a drink or cocktail. As it was a concert visit we expected a bar till midnight.
L emplaxelent
The breakfast was nice, especially the omlette The location was good The staff are happy and friendly
The bed was uncomfortable There was a lorry reversed up the side street at 05:25am with its reversing beeper on both nights i stayed, and it woke me up at 05:25 in the morning!!! The bathroom was small, the toilet was tight to the wall and the layout of the shower makes the water go onto the floor if you have a long shower
Location and staff.
The shower did not have very good pressure. Mattress very stained.
Location
Rude reception staff
Breakfast was awful, considering the amount we paid £230 one night, we waited an hour for our breakfast, every thing ran out, coffee, bread, cups, plates, cutlery, poached egg was just water uncooked, ran out of bacon, not expected for over £200
The breakfast was dismal,no organisation, and not that busy, would have expected better
Decor, location and friendliness
Location was perfect. Breakfast was very good enough to eat.

Breakfast
Everything so comfortable breakfast was good too

The artwork in the stair well The size of room 202
The other two rooms on our booking 212 215 reported having small double beds and issues with lack of shower doors. Also street noise. Probably common in central Liverpool. Breakfast was disappointing. The coffee was awful, no choice of tea bags, no decaf tea. The pastries were awful. The yogurt was fat free and full of sweetener ( Greek style natural please!!). The cooked was ok but portions varied with the chef. The porridge was generously sized but undercooked so like chomping through semi cooked oats..!! The mattress in 202 felt thin and cheap you could feel the springs!! The room key cards were an absolute nightmare! Every day we had issues!!
The friendliness and efficiency of the staff. The cleanliness and attractiveness of the building. The quality and variety of the breakfasts.
The breakfast coffee. Investment in a machine similar to the Holiday Inns providing bean based with choices similar to a cafe.
Friendly staff
Beds not the most comfortable
Great location, Great room and delicious breakfast. Friendly staff
Nothing
Near train station and easy walk to all the sights Spacious room and very clean Staff very friendly and accommodating Lovely breakfast included in price.
The location was good but as old building can hear noise through window from outside.
Great location, the rooms were clean, the beds were comfy and the staff were really helpful
Nothing
There was nothing I disliked, every thing was what I expected
Beautiful building, perfect location for visiting all the main attractions.
There was no towel rail in the bathroom and the towels were changed every day which was not necessary.
Breakfast was good but not a lot of variety. Central situation really good, not far from Lime Street Station. Staff were pleasant for breakfast.
Husband asked for a bacon sandwich on the day we were leaving as full breakfast is big. Had to send it back as bacon was dry cold and overcooked. Replaced with dry overcooked bits of bacon. He could not eat, so he had breakfast cereal instead. When booking out, the lift was out of action with no prior warning, and we were on the 3rd floor with 2 cases. Not appropriate for 2 seventy year old to lug these down the stairs. Also, no evening meals available.
Liked the icy cold water tap opposite reception) very refreshing. Liked the breakfast as well.
No Complaints
Beautiful room, clean and to a high standard. Staff were amazing, beautiful bar and resteraunt area. The lady on reception was helpful, chatty and very accomodating.
Nothing
Het ontbijt was geweldig. De website moet wel aangepast worden. Er staan dingen in die niet kloppen.
Ons matras.
Nice bar area the place was clean and in good condition. The bathroom was clean and bright
The bed was uncomfortable the pillows and duvet felt cheap and the shower lacked any pressure, noisy on a Friday night no double glazing
The breakfast was excellent - really good quality. Beautiful building and good shower and love the wooden window frames! So much is good about this hotel.
The double bed was two singles put together and a bit ‘springy’
I didn't like that you could not use cash in the facility so this meant it was hard to leave a tip for staff.
Convenient location. Clean and comfortable with lovely reception and restaurant staff.
Staff and location .
Noise from Streets below was a BH
Amazingly hotel, with comfortable beds, delicious breakfast and a friendly staff
Good location 👌
Unfortunately the drinks from the bar were very over priced .
location was perfect, staff was friendly and the hotel was clean
LOKALIZACJA dla nas była super.Kilka minut do Cavern Club spacerkiem. Kilkanaście minut do Albert Dock.
Nastepnym razem zamiast omleta bez sera , przyniesiono z serem.Kiedy zwróciłyśmy uwagę, przeproszono i przyniesiono bez sera , ale niedosmażony .Ostatecznie poprosiliśmy o jajecznice.W efekcie czas oczekiwania wynosił blisko godzinę.
Fab location and a great little hotel.
How friendly and helpful staff were Location great , fantastic bar , amazing breakfast

Location excellent near to train station, high street shops & Matthew Street.
Great location, excellent food
Bar shut at midnight
Staff disponibile e cordiale.
Close to the area where we needed to be
Nothing
Great location and nice staff. Public areas were very nice.
We were in a purple room. Felt like Lawrence from changing rooms had designed it. The rooms were a bit disappointing after staying on 8 other hotels prior to this one.
Didnt like wine in room at £32 a bottle
Excellent value for money. Staff were very friendly. Clean, relaxed atmosphere, a great Liverpool base to work from.
The only slight negative being the breakfast sausage. Tasteless. Otherwise, the bar and breakfast facilities were very good. Just the sausage!!!
BREAKFAST FINE GOOD CHOICE
EARLY CHECK IN COST
Very central
The bathroom floor flooded when you had a shower , which went right over to the sink , it made the floor so slippery even when using the towels provided to mop it up the floor was still like a paddling pool . Then outside our room was an awful noise coming from the ceiling area which when I inside the room you could hear all night it was an annoying humming sound, breakfast was slightly questionable which is unusual because I’ve stayed here many times before.
A very good, comfortable and clean room. Excellent breakfast. Centrally located near to bus and train stations.
A blind in the bathroom would be useful as the lights from the building opposite are very bright and are on all night.
It’s central location.
It’s very dark. The walls and woodwork are painted in very dark colours
Apart from the English Breakfadt, everything. Carole on reception.
English Breakfast was poor, very overcooked.
great location, comfy bed and lovely breakfast
Posizione e colazione
Pulizia ed insonorizzazione della camera. Assenza di aria condizionata.
The location is ideal for exploring.
The breakfast could have been better. I had an omelette which was undercooked. My husband and friends had the full English but the sausages were undercooked and everything else overcooked.
The breakfast was really good nice selection and not over busy
The location is perfect. The staff were lovely.
Tea making facilities at breakfast were a bit of an ordeal.
Location is amazing, is in the heart of Liverpool, so everything you can do walking, the bedrooms are really good, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast is complete and plenty options available.
Everything, we enjoyed. Every minute.
I can’t think of anything
Rooms nice a large nice breakfast
Stayed Monday through to friday had no got water for a shower the whole of the duration
Staff were very helpful

Time it took for refundable deposit to get back in your account ( 10 days )
The location was great the breakfast was good and the staff were nice but over worked by the management team .
The rooms were very small , the bed mattresses were old and you could feel the springs . we had to move rooms because the bed was so uncomfortable . The second room was just as bad . The lighting was too bright in the rooms no ambience . No air conditioning, the bathroom was tiny . The decor was dark with no pictures of the wall . All the rooms need to be updated the rooms have been done on the cheep in my opinion.
Our second stay was just as good as the first room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was great and staff helpful and friendly and the bar area was very relaxing
Very good value for money a nice place to stay
This hotel is in a great position for mathews street and a leisurely walk from shopping precinct , museums , Albert docks and attractions along the Mersey.
The bar closed early both nights 10pm , there is no food available for lunch or Dinner only breakfast , there is no air-conditioning in the rooms
Posizione ,camera, colazione e pulizia tutto perfetto
Very central location, rooms small but very clean and well maintained
No Air Conditioning and the lift broke a few times while we where there
Staff were very helpful and friendly food was great rooms very clean the cleaners do a great job and ask what you need very attentive, clean towels everyday they also left extra milk in the room for us I love my tea so thanks we will be back .
Nothing
Breakfast was superb, location excellent. Staff couldn’t do enough to help us. Superb all round.
Couldn’t find anything to fault it.
Nothing, worst 30 minutes, checked in checked out, within 30 minutes Staff were so unhelpful and told lies, amdanager wudnt come to spk to us becuz she was too busy drinking wine, very poor
Location was fabulous for friends visiting Liverpool for first time central to everything
The lift wasn’t working, the extractor fan in bathroom wasn’t working, shower glass didn’t prevent bathroom from flooded when having a shower, key cards didn’t work everytime we returned to our room, breakfast was rubbish and no indication of evening meals not being catered for. The building smelled damp.
Location is great for city centre, staff were really good.
The rooms were really warm with no air con and nowhere to drop bags before check in meaning you needed to pay an extra £20 on arrival for early check in.
I arrived for a one night stay with my teenage son and we checked in just after 3pm. The room was very clean and comfortable. I noticed that the radiator cover was damaged so I informed the staff in order to protect the £50 security charge that I paid on arrival. The staff member took a photo and logged this straight away. The toilet didn't flush but after informing the staff we were very quickly offered an alternative room. However, due to circumstances out of our control and not connected to the hotel we had to leave at 9.30pm so didn't get to stay the night as planned. The night time receptionist was very helpful and said he would see if my £50 security deposit could be returned sooner than the 10 days. From the short time we were there we found it to be very clean, quiet, and the staff were more than helpful. It is a shame we couldn't stay but we would book this hotel again the next time we come to Liverpool.
Nothing
Fantastic location
Breakfast was perfect but unfortunately no food served in evening
The breakfast was okay very greasy though
The television in the room was not working and I had to ask the receptionist twice to get it fixed, and the one day the lift was out of order all day and we were on the top floor and my wife struggled to having to keep walking up and down the stairs which was not good
Noisy part of the city at night
Great location and great breakfast
The location was great, the room was clean.
I had to fix the tv as the picture was poor quality. To date, they have not sent my £50 back that they took from my account, and on the day we booked out the lift, they stopped working and had to carry our case down from the second floor.
Problem with room cards not working so up and down to reception rather than them checking. Eventually given another room. No staff at breakfast! Waited where was asked to be seated, no one came. Had to go back to reception and ask where all the staff was, one young lady running around doing everything. Reception staff did then help. Do not think we will stay there again, however highlight was a really good breakfast, lousy coffee but memorable omelette!
Lack of staff Room was not great
From check in to check out everything went well. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. Price was very reasonable and location was brilliant
Breakfast lovely , freshly cooked , service good, good choices .
Coffee a bit weak
Lovely breakfast
Nothing, brilliant location , lovely breakfast , clean room , clean bathroom
The staff were fantastic and could not do enough
Few problems with the key card but sorted immediately
Good location pleasant staff comfortable beds
Lift being broke when arrived we had to be moved to 1st floor room, as my friend and I struggle with stairs
Good room well equipped, good shower, very good location. Very good breakfast well cooked and served quickly
Better ventilation in bathroom, it was a very hot day so limited airflow through room
We thought the room was and breakfast was excellent
We would have liked to be able to get food in the evening
The bar and restaurant were lovely the bedroom was very clean
Prices in the bar was very reasonable
Location
A little bit noisy
The building is old and has a lot of character. The location is perfect for exploring central Liverpool. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was large and comfortable, nicely decorated and well equipped. It was very quiet too. The breakfast was good, with plenty of choice, even for vegetarians.
This is a minor and personal preference. I like to sit and relax in comfy chairs in a hotel, drinking tea or cocktails. The ground floor of the hotel was taken up with a bar that played fairly loud music which wasn't the atmosphere we were looking for. Consequently, we spent time in other hotels instead. Also, there were no chairs in the room, though there was plenty of space for them.
The location was awesome and in a good place
