The hotel offers period elegance with a twist of modern charm
I’d personally like to see hotel do a more traditional breakfast
Excellent location. Beautiful building. Wonderful staff. Great value for location.
There wasn't anything I didnt like
The racquet club is in a great location, not too far to walk to a good selection of bars & restaurants around castle street, & its also close to the docks in the other direction. Very good value for the night of my stay (compared with similar hotels in the immediate area). Hotel communicated with me in advance of an on-site function which may be noisy (giving me chance to change or cancel my booking), but I could not hear anything from my room anyway. Room wasn't modern, but it was very clean, & it had everything I could need including a desk, & plenty of mirrors. Bed was comfortable, towels and bathroom were clean.
Difficult to fault for the price paid. TV wasn't great (aerial cable may just need some maintenance) but I did manage to get it to partially work but it did keep dropping out of signal.... I wasn't too bothered anyway.
Lovely old building and good location too
No aircon or opening windows, could get a bit hot I imagine…
The room was horrible, needed total refurbishment. Bedsheets were durty, the smell was horrible, wardrobe was broken, door opens when you walk next to it, the window can't be closed, alot of noise, the bathroom is very old and dirty, found a swimmer in the toilet. No AC. Definitely not worth the £100.
The building lovely Location good Bath was nice
The bed was old and has a massive dip. Felt like we were sleeping on a hill. Dark dingy room had to have lights on all the time. And they are all dodgy flickering etc. Shower is in bath that is not made for a shower so when in it felt not only clostophobic but unstable. Room was dusty all along the dressing table base. 1st receptioist wasnt helpful at all. Didnt really know where to park. Cost us £75 in parking for 2 nights.Never gave details on anything hotel offered. Went bar to be told cant have this cant have that as it was closed off. Nothing to eat so went next door to pig and whistle instead. Maybe you should get a deal with a carpark like most other hotels have. Night reception was very nice.
Very old fashioned. Really hot. Windows didn’t open. Shower very weak
All of the above
Location. Styling inside was lovely.
Price was a lot more than other hotels in the area that I have stayed in.
Location and great staff
Room size and room amenities.
Great location
It was so hot in the room, windows don’t open
Friendly staff. Very accommodating. Beautiful old building with features kept in accordance with original
Bed very small and quite uncomfy. We stayed during the heatwave and a fan would’ve been nice as the windows could not be opened. Shower over bath was a little snug
Room was very spacious. I liked the bathroom separated from the bedroom. Bed was super comfy
Curtains didn't shut properly
A localização do hotel e os funcionários!
A limpeza deixou um pouco a desejar. O quarto estava bastante empoeirado. Mas no geral foi uma boa estadia!
Every thing
Every thing
It was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
A little dated in places but good for a one night stay.
Great location, close enough to the main areas but far enough away to be nice and quiet. A really good sized room with a big comfy bed. All the staff we met were really helpful and so welcoming and friendly.
Location and room oh and bath
Could not fault it, fantastic
Lovely old building with old furniture. Lift to upper floors. Easy to find and close to the docks. Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable. High ceilings.
Thin walls so a bit noisy on the street and in the other rooms, wifi and tv signal were patchy
Lovely property. Bed was comfy. Tea and coffee a nice addition. Staff were lovely.
The bathroom was old and not the best.
Convenient hotel, friendly staff, and quiet (when no functions on)
No breakfast available but there are plenty of options close by
Posizione ottima. Stanza pulita.
Peccato non ci sia la possibilità di lasciare i bagagli oltre il check out
Fabulous old building, near to the town centre and perfect for our night out
Fabulous location, the staff on the front desk so welcoming and friendly . Would definitely come again next time we visit Liverpool
Room was comfortable location excellent and location was very central to everything
Staff were superb
Nowt
Very central, all staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Room was small, perfectly fine for our one night stay. Really clean. The roll top bath was lovely, sadly we had no time to use it. I have never seen a window so big, the decor matches the building traditional but all modern amenities you expect.
Breakfast is only continental, which didn't suit our needs but would suit others.
Met on arrival. Staff friendly. Room comfortable.
Beautiful old historical property with easy access to the quays. Staff really friendly and efficient. Good value for money
The staff were extremely friendly and professional. Building is stunning. Immaculately clean

Location and staff
View from Room 1
Location, and the beautiful building. Bed was extremely comfortable and bedlinen was spotless.
Some areas quite dated. Stains on the carpets and marks on the tables.
Building arquiteture
Room poor decoration TV not working properly poor furniture
Close to meetings before and after
Phone entry to get back into hotel. Room too small and dated Elevator terrible Shower awful Bathroom gross Too hot and no AC and couldn't open windows No facilities Poor WiFi Too hot to work from room and no business centre No easy way to see reception had to hope they were at the desk Misleading rating on genius
Am fost un sejur foarte fain. Personalul foarte primitor. Curățenie in camera, prosoape curate...nu avem de ce sa ne plângem.
Tolle Lage, in 5 Minuten zu Fuß an den Docks, in zehn Minuten im Zentrum. Zimmer hat alles, was man braucht.
Good location, comfortable beds, clean room, good wifi. Helpful friendly staff. Easy early check in.
Room/ hotel a little jaded, but comfortable and reasonably priced so served the purpose for a one night stay in the city
Good value for money and great position! The blonde lady at the front desk was very welcoming and friendly. The bed and pillows were surprisingly comfortable, slept like a baby.
One of the towels had what looked like rust stains, it wasn't a big issue for us as we had plenty in our room and the used ones were also replaced the next morning.
The stairs, very quiet for a Saturday night as well.
Absolutely nothing it was awful
Dirty, rude staff only the gent on reception the lady was pleasant. Bathroom door jammed shut, hairs in the bath, bed was so small and uncomfortable. We left within 30 min if that of being there. Our room smell so awful and stale too
Very cute hotel with loads of character and lovely staff!
It was a really attractive property. The room and bathroom were large and the decor great. The staff couldn't have been more helpful.
The water was not hot enough for me. (it was not cold)
Location
TV not working in the room. Also didn’t like having to leave key when going out for the evening.
Close to city centre
Very old.
Der Rezeptionist sehr hilfreich und serioes
Die ausstatung vom Bad
Great location and staff were so accommodating
Reception staff very friendly.
Having to ring to get in after night out. Room was basic for the price. No bath. Bits on carpet, needed a deep clean. Having to leave the key at reception felt like a school child
The building
.
Location is fantastic and staff were very helpful. We were advised of potential noise from the any events when we booked however the noise was no issue at all. I could not hear any sound of the functions that were being held.
The building is beautiful
The bedroom door didn’t seem to fit the frame properly, allowing light & noise through
Very clean and great for the shops
Perfect location. Very kind staff, Beth makes the tastiest coffees of Liverpool!
bed was super comfy.
no bulb in hall light, lamp didnt work (or bulb had gone), no full length mirror, no hairdryer although staff did bring one up. didnt like having to ring a phone number to be let in.
Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was large and the hotel was very quiet despite the functions on.
Good location, bargain price for a night and friendly staff. Lovely old building. Room large and had all we needed. Good location.
View of boiler, no view. But for the price and for one night arriving in the dark it wasn’t a problem.
Location and nice staff
Great location, wonderful staff!
No breakfast 😢
Good location. Lovely old building on outside
Very tired inside. Furnishing out of date. All a bit odd. No bar or restaurant. No breakast served. Overpriced
Location brilliant and the staff excellent
Looking a little worn in places but still ok
Price
Room was not very modern / basic
A little gem at the Price
Unique
Old facilities, had to leave key at the front desk, bed wasn't the greatest.
