Location is good. We had a room with walk-in shower which is so much better for me rather than to climb over a bath. Also we were pleased we had air conditioning in the room.

The bathroom had mould in several places, it needs some strong cleaning.

No complaints at all. Good room, good food, good service. Good EV chargers.

Coffee machine at breakfast was broken and the replenishment of food and crockery at breakfast could be improved.

The place is a little dated and could do with a refurb. AC didn’t work in one room and the other was leaking badly and had been for a long time as the room was musty and the carpet wet. Staff provided another room which was better.

Staff very friendly, nicer sized room. Had meal in restaurant that was good.

Maintenance hatch under sink wasn't secure and kept popping open. An issue as I had pet with me. I blocked by putting something in free by but then made left bathroom space. When tidying up at end of stay, quite a bit of black, bring an dust on carpet under window. Suspect it was that half inch the vacuum doesn't reach, but does school lain why I felt snuffly both mornings.

There was an overbooking issue and they did not have a room for us. The manager rang holiday inn express in Stratford 8 mins drive away who luckily had one room left. This was very poor service as we had driven from Scotland and it was 9pm in the evening. The manger told us the issue was with booking.com We were extremely disappointed and will be raising a complaint with both holiday inn and booking.com

The area is around a business park. I’m sure it looks busier on weekdays but we went during the August bank holiday so the surrounding area seemed lifeless.

AC stopped working on one of the days and late night I had to change the room which was quite painful. There was no variety in breakfast during the entire week, The quality of coffee was extremely poor. I was expecting much more for the money I paid.

Nothing, they cancelled my room 20 minutes before I arrived. Something about credit cards not on file but all the other 91 rooms were booked with credit cards.

Room booked for 6 night leisure stay - Tues thru Mon. Requested walk-in shower rather than shwr over bath. 2nd flr room appeared clean; bed had clean sheets/pillowcases, & was very comfortable with 2 pillows. The bathroom had good walk-in shwr. The desk light worked, as did the AC system in the room, which was welcomed in the hot weather. TV worked fine. Desk chair reasonable, but only for sitting on for 15mins max at a time. Only booked 'breakfasts' as they were included in an 'offer' price for the room ... I arrived at the restaurant between 8:45 & 9:15 over my stay. Food provided (when there was food available) was generally good. One out of the two lifts was working.

The bathroom had good w/i shwr altho shwr hose/head sppt came to pieces when used - I fixed it. Couldn't ascertain if bathrm vent fan worked - no audible change from light off/on/shwr on, etc., but mirror condensation cleared after opening bthrm door. Ceiling light above entrance door didn't work - possibly bulb blown. On 1st evening, couldn't get standard lamp to work either - it was leant against the wall with a tissue apparently enabling the shade to remain attached to the main stem. With the tissue wrapped around the base of the bulb, I decided not to touch it, deeming it to be a safety hazard ... better the lamp to be 'off'... the bedside lamps offered adequate illumination. On returning the 2nd evening, the entrance door light still didn't work, but the standard lamp was 'on'. I quickly turned it off, but found that the bedside lamps & reading lights didn't work at all. Luckily, the remaining desk light worked, & this lighting arrangement continued to work for the rest of my stay ... as did the AC system in the room, which was welcomed in the hot weather. Unfortunately, the lowest fan setting on the unit made it "bubble, gurgle & vibrate" so much that it was difficult to get to sleep ... another setting was found to work with less noise. Armchair uncomfortable & felt as if you were sitting on the floor - needs replacing. Desk chair reasonable, but only for sitting on for 15mins max at a time. Only booked 'breakfasts' as they were included in an 'offer' price for the room ... would have really felt disappointed if I had have paid full price for them. As I arrived at the restaurant between 8:45 & 9:15 over my stay, it was disappointing to 'register' my arrival only to find that no clear tables were set up ready for use ... other users were also noted to suffer the same fate ...

I had booked for a room with double bed and sofa bed but was given a room with a double bed but no sofa bed I was with my sister and didn’t want to sleep in the same bed as both of us are elderly

Bed was uncomfortable - very springy. Many of the fittings were loose- bedside shelf was not level and could not be used. Bedside lighting on one side did not work and was coming away from the wall. Room did not feel clean - carpet was very bitty, and the shower edges were not very clean.For a four star hotel it felt tired, badly maintained and poor value for money

Reception staff were not very helpful Leaking AC in room! Made noise all night- had a suite booked! Smelly rooms An electric heater wall unit could not turn it of and it was 28degrees outside! No help from staff!

The hotel is very dated, it is not up to the usual Holiday Inn standard, which was disappointing. This hotel needs a serious makeover, the rooms are very basic. The location is good tho.

I had booked and paid for a “ premium “ room but was given a standard room without the extra amenities. When I queried this, I was told it was the best available and because I’d booked through Booking.com there was “ nothing they could do”.

The room I was given following a cancellation was comfortable, roomy and clean.

The unnecessary stress caused by the hotel 'overbooking' and repeatedly threatening to cancel my booking via phone calls, disturbing a special occasion during the evening of my confirmed stay.

Elvis was an absolute legend, 10/10 for dress sense and helpfulness.

I had some problems in advance with the booking.com booking. I eventually dealt with Elvis at the hotel. He was professional, patient, friendly, efficient and trusted me. When I arrived, it was Elvis who checked me in and it was lovely to meet him. There was a little problem with the room - but Charlie soon sorted that - I needed a walk-in- shower and the room I was first given was a bath with a shower inside it. So, to summarise, the staff, especially Elvis and Charlie, were all excellent. My room was spacious, clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. I had one breakfast and it couldn't have been better. The staff there were also helpful, as were the housekeeping staff.

Staff come across as uninterested and disengaged. Window in our room was covered in black mould right the way around the frame. Cob webs handing from our ceiling. Someone elses sick stain on the base of the bed doesn’t look like there was ever any attempt at cleaning it off. Shower wouldn’t drain so ended up waiting 45 minutes for someone to come and unblock it and proceeded to pull out masses of hair that had obviously built up leaving behind an absolutely putrid stench. Air con unit was barely blowing any cool air despite having it on full, we shone a light at the vent and it looked as though there was years worth of dust and grime completely blocking any air flow - we ended up unblocking it ourselves the amount of stuff that came out of it was appalling - not only a fire hazard but if they’re accommodating people during heatwaves and they can’t get cool because the units are all clogged up stopping the air coming out then it’s a sure way of racking up complaints. Air con units are restricted to a minimum temperature of 19’c - this is too warm during hotter months especially when the rooms are occupied with multiple people (we were a family of 4) made for a really hot and uncomfortable night until we finally managed to unclog the unit. Breakfast was understaffed - holiday inn breakfasts are usually pretty good but there was no tables set properly because one trainee was being left to do everything whilst the receptionist/manager sat and had a brew! When checking out I informed said receptionist/manager about the air con unit and showed him photos of all the debris that came out of it and despite him being clearly disgusted by it, he couldn’t of cared less about the suggestion of informing maintenance/housekeeping to perhaps be cleaning/checking them regularly nor to lower the minimum temperature during hotter months.

I booked this for my parents and my sister. We had a few additional requests that the hotel could not have been more helpful in accommodating. They really enjoyed the brunch service at the hotel and said the staff were absolutely excellent. It sounds as though the brunch would be nice for non-residents and not something I knew about. I will definitely book family and friends in here again when they come to visit.

The restaurant area was closed and dinner was served in bar area which is not air conditioned and so was pretty warm. The aircon in the bedroom was working but nit coping with the temperature. I had it turned to 19 degrees but the temperature in the room never got below 25. I chose the hotel specifically because it has aircon.

The welcome on arrival by Elvis. The comfortable well equipped room. The facilities were very clean and tidy. Had a meal on one of the evenings which was okay.

Very slow service at the bar particularly on the first night when there was a company meeting and the girl serving was swamped. We took one look and went out for the night. The situation of the hotel as we had to take the car every time we wanted to go out but the parking was our main priority when we booked.

Overall all was great stay, rooms where big and didn't get to use the facilities like the gym and bar area, it was room only stay as a short visit

when I arrive in my room I can smell damp, it looked like something was leaking in corridor and was drying out, I never got the to bottom of it to asked of where it was.
