Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Travelled with my dog for the first time, he has never experienced anything like this, when we arrived we were welcomed by friendly staff and the lady showed me the location of the room and there was treats along with dog bowls and a bed all set up for him, he was very excited as he had the whole room to himself and a comfy bed. I appreciate all the hard work as my dog is like my son and it was his first holiday. It really brings happy tears to see him happy and feeling safe especially with the fact he is a rescue. The hotel was massive with a beautiful garden and spa facility. Me and my partner were amazed and will definitely be back shortly.
The bathroom plug was broken and the water wasn't draining so we couldn't shower!
Hotel set in beautiful grounds. All gardens and lawns lovingly tended. Staff friendly and informative. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We dined in the Warwick restaurant on the Saturday night. The Signature menu was outstanding. We can't wait to return.
Beautiful building
Elegant
Interesting and beautiful - very well maintained
Nothing
Location was great and the breakfast experience was good too.
Bed Pillows were too soft. When we arrived the room was generally clean, BUT a half eaten sandwich was still in the fridge (probably from previous guests). Your housekeeping did sort straight away, but shouldn't have been like that! Also disappointed that on a Bank Holiday weekend, the Lounge Food area was closed on Sunday evening as we didn't want to eat in restaurant, also closed was the Sencha that evening. It is strange that on such a busy weekend you decide to do that? We had a short stint in the Spa and wanted to relax in Sencha for a meal, however we ended up having to get dressed and go OUT of teh hotel. It shouldn't have been like that, or at least some pre warning that this was the case!
From the moment we arrived it felt like we were staying at a very special country house hotel. The facilities were fantastic, the grounds were beautiful. We took advantage of our spa time and it was peaceful with a beautiful pool. The highlight of our stay was our dinner at The Warwick. It was a taste sensation from start to finish. It was one of the best meals we’ve ever had and they catered for my gluten allergy brilliantly.
Nothing
Excellent
Menu choices for dinner were very limited …prices extortionate for dinner
We spent two nights in a Manor House Deluxe Room, with dinner and breakfast included as part of a family 80th birthday celebration. This was our second visit and just as wonderful as the first. Very comfortable and quiet room with views over the gardens. Well appointed, huge bed, soft pillows, robes and all the expected amenities. The staff were fantastic and made the stay memorable. The restaurant was the highlight of the stay. The food is excellent, with each dish beautifully presented and delicious. Very skilled chef, supported by friendly and informative staff. Overall, an excellent stay in an elegant hotel, with wonderful staff and Michelin quality dining.
Fabulous staff. Amazing food. Outstanding.
Nothing
All of it.
We stayed here for our 40th anniversary and on the whole it was very good. There have been some comments about the quality of the rooms but we had a Master Orchard House room and it was very good. Large with high quality fittings and furniture. The decor was muted brown and grey, much less garish than some of the other rooms on the website. Dinner was very good too. We had the tasting menu with the wine flight. Each dish was the right balance between being innovative without being over the top. The wine flight was OK - not the most inspiring we have had. Breakfast was good too. High quality ingredients with perfectly cooked eggs. The spa was busy when we arrived but we went for a swim 9.00 on the Sunday and had the place to ourselves. It's beautifully fitted out, but small and must get crowded at busy times. All that said, we were hoping for somewhere a bit more intimate. We went 30 years ago when it was a smallish country house hotel. It seems to have expanded quite a bit and now looks more like a conference centre. So while the room, dinner spa and everything else were individually fine, overall it lacked atmosphere a bit.
Room was very comfortable
Dinner was excellent, good quality food, well presented and delicious. Breakfast was also very good. Room was comfortable and had all the amenities you might require.
I did not like the piped musak that was present throughout the hotel, it was intrusive and annoying.
Sunday lunch in Mallory Court restaurant- 3 courses for £55 each - huge portions, lots of sides (cauliflower cheese, green veg, roasties), lovely roast beef, although slightly tough - yummy baked Alaska for pud. Staff excellent Will definitely be back
Such a gorgeous jotel and service from Moment we entered the hotel we were greeted and made to feel special
Nothing I didn’t like
Lovely country hotel feel but still close to Leamington Spa. Comfortable room.
Checking in was stressful because the receptionist wanted us to give a time for our breakfast the next day and the check in was in a narrow corridor with hotel staff coming past which made it a little stressful. Having given a time for our breakfast and being a party of 5, there was no table laid out for us the following morning which made us wonder why we needed to give a time at all! My husband ordered room service when we arrived but for some reason the food never arrived. Felt a bit disorganized. My daughter who is gluten intolerant asked for gluten free bread with her poached eggs but instead she got normal bread with gluten free bread on the side. These were all small annoyances but it didn’t really feel like 4 star service. I am not sure we would rush back.
I received a very warm welcome on arrival after deciding to pop in for a drink. I was directed to the outdoor seating and informed that my order would be taken at the table. After a long wait, my order was taken, and my drink arrived. Overall, the staff were friendly; my only criticisms were the wait for my order to be taken and that another guest had to ask for a table to be cleared, despite two members of staff walking past beforehand!
Excellent staff Food was impressive Very accomodating with our rooms for a family of four adults.
Our wedding breakfast and our overnight stay could not have been better. The room looked incredible and when I went in to check it, it was so beautiful that I felt a bit tearful (I hope you agree that the flowers dressed it perfectly), every morsel of food was divine, and we were very well taken care of by Josh and all the rest of the team. Our suite was lovely as well, very well appointed, we had gorgeous views, with a sumptuously comfortable bed and lots of space. Thank you for the extra touches of leaving chocolates! We felt like VIPs, unrushed, not crowded, and valued as guests by a lovely team of people serving us. Everyone (even my ultra fussy stepmother) loved the hotel and remarked on the gardens, their rooms and of course the amazing food. This is the best hotel in Warwickshire with a truly exceptional restaurant. The chef, Stu Deeley, is a real talent. Go and try the Lobster Raviolo. It is divine.
The spa and pool are great and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. However, the rooms are very dated and in need of updating and decorating. It was very hot during our stay and the rooms have no air conditioning. Quite expensive for an average room.
An absolutely stunning house. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The bedrooms were fantastic and the spa facilities were lovely. The Sencha restaurant was amazing.
I loved everything
Welcome. Staff. Location.Price
Condition of the rooms - windows needed repair. Feels tired. Like nothing has been spent on it for 20 years
Mallory Court is an exceptional hotel - staff, food and service are all extremely good. Great vibe and superb grounds and facilities. I have stayed at Mallory around 60 times on business and pleasure and it so consistently good that I can’t sing its praises enough. Hope to be back soon. Thanks for a perfect stay (again!)
Absolutely everything
The staff was lovely & friendly. The restaurant & lounge area & gardens are beautiful. The room we stayed in was clean, however, a bit dated & "worn." There were also several large moths in the room when we checked in. The breakfast was excellent.
See above
Short but wonderful stay at the Mallory Court. We were attending a friend's summer garden party and needed an early check in. This was provided with no fuss. The receptionist was exemplary and showed us to our room. It was clearly an upgrade on what we had booked. Well decorated and spotless. The fan was welcome in the heatwave. The countryside view was great. Breakfast was provided to order and all the waiting staff were amongst the best we've encountered. Definitely returning to make more use of the spa and garden.
Food was delicious....staff were lovely....setting was amazing ..parking brilliant ..grounds good
No air con no fly nets loads of flies Wooden toilet seat with chips not hygienic ..also bed creaked all the time ..internet not great ..
Beautiful hotel and location; the grounds are stunning. Made full use of our hour in the pool and sauna. Dinner was amazing.
The hotel has lovely quality rooms and a welcoming feel about it
There seemed to be some issues at breakfast on 2nd morning, bank holiday Monday, some kitchen equipment wasn’t working and staff seemed stressed and short staffed not so relaxing for guests. Also didn’t like the fact that although I had paid for the room on arrival the extras had a large service charge added and I felt surprised by it and put on the spot to see that on the extras bill just as we were leaving . Felt like this should have been advised or given Option to sign for drinks with gratuity at time of actual service.
Fabulous lunch celebrating our wedding anniversary. Food and service were faultless we were greeted with a complimentary glass of Veuve clique which was a nice touch and our meal finished with a complimentary plate whisking a happy anniversary and white chocolates which happen to be my favourite. Thank you Mallory court
Rooms in main house were full of character
Our bathroom was very small
Breakfast service was slow and chaotic
What an absolute disappointment, this once gracious and glorious hotel is now a shadow of its former self, such a special place for us as a family, the staff were wonderful, but the room! The windows couldn’t be closed so we heard the traffic all night, the bed was the smallest bed I have ever slept in, it sank in the middle, it was quite possibly the smallest bathroom I have tried to negotiate, there were robes, but no slippers, we had such lovely memories of this very special place. We will never be back.
Spa was excellent
Breakfast was a shambles, very slow service, food poorly cooked.
This was our second visit to the hotel and it exceeded all our expectations. We bought our dogs this time round and we were upgraded to a suite with a Terrance over looking the maze . We have breakfast booked in summer Terrance which was amazing .
Nothing not to like
Staff friendly and professional. Great breakfast Comfy room Beautiful decor
Very friendly and attentive reception staff
Had to wait an hour for my food order to come in the evening. The couple next to me waited even longer. Ordered a croque monsieur which to me should have had melted cheese and ham inside. What I eventually got was a lukewarm sandwich with dry cheese and ham and covered in congealed cheese. Not very good! The reception staff at the spa were unhelpful. Didnt offer me a robe, I had to ask for one, and the same with a locker key.
Pool, spa, walk around the property, the staff
Waiting time for food
Beautiful property
Thought service was slow
Staff were excellent. Breakfast was excellent. Room service was also good. Kevin was extremely helpful!
Everything, the building, the grounds and the staff made you feel important at every opportunity.
Unfortunately the pool was closed for 24hours on our particular visit but that was just unfortunate timing. But would love the opportunity to stay again and use all the facilities. But everything else made up for it.
The greeting on our arrival sold it for me and didn’t end there. Our room was spacious and extremely comfortable with additional touches like fruit and fruit juices in the room on arrival. We chose to have two bar meals which were exceptional. This suited me as we had just driven from Scotland that day. Breakfast was excellent too!The efficiency and friendliness of all staff has played a big part in our decision to make a booking to return.
Location of the property was good
The room was consistently very warm throughout our stay, particularly during the hot weather, despite the heating being turned off. The hallway heating was also on, which made moving through the area uncomfortable. The outdoor hot tub was pleasant, although quite small. Unfortunately, several facilities were not functioning, including the jets in the swimming pool and the steam room. The television in the room was outdated and did not include an HDMI connection, which was disappointing. We had reserved a table for breakfast at 9:30, however upon arrival there was no table available for us, which meant we were unable to stay for breakfast.
Helpful staff
Breakfast wasn't great. Sink in room not draining. Ok overall but not up to expected standard for the price
The location and food are fab
The garden is very nice
Poor experience. Hotel booked on the telephone for 4 adults and 1 nine year old child. At no time were we told that pool access for children needed to be booked. Nothing available for when we arrived and we were offered breakfast time tomorrow and Monday. Although asked if we Reiner it was not stressed as the hotel was fully this also noticed be booked in advance. Extremely disappointed, we would not have booked this place if we had been aware of restrictions.
Staff very friendly & helpful particularly breakfast staff.
For the amount paid expected wow factor...no wow factor...no different to a travel lodge. Disappointed to only have access to spa for 1h otherwise extra costs. Spa staff unfriendly. Don't be deceived by photo of manor house,on arrival house dwarved by modern conference centre & car park
Lovely staff.
Different ambient music.
On arrival the hotel looks very impressive and the grounds are beautiful. We had booked a double room which in the pictures looked very good. Reception staff were very friendly and we were shown to the room, which was actually in a different building to the main house. On entering the room it was obvious the decor was tired with paint chipped off the wall, the furniture stained, and on inspection of the bathroom it was obvious that housekeeping had not cleaned the toilet. We immediately returned to Reception and explained what we had found and all credit due they immediately apologised and rectified the situation by moving us to a beautiful room in the main house, which I can only be grateful for. The common areas in the hotel are gorgeous but I did feel a little tired with wallpaper ripped in the lounge area. One more small point was that the shower gel and conditioner were empty when I had a shower the next morning which I thought again was not good for a 4 star hotel especially as I believe our room was over £400 per night. Then when I asked for them to be filled they were just left outside the door. I just think there is a problem with housekeeping as these are basic issues in any hotel. I would love to have marked higher as our issues were dealt with quickly professionally by Reception.
Rooms and restaurant!
Did have an issue with a glugging sound from the heating system but it was resolved.
Three of us stayed for one Saturday night Positives: - Precise and thoughtful service - Huge room - Great bed - Excellent restaurants - Nice massages / spa treatments Negatives: - Spa service and management is chaotic - took four goes to book a a massage. We went to the main spa area for an hour (you have to book) to find used towels everywhere, no cups, people on phones (the rules claim it is a mobile free zone) - it just looked uncared for.
The place is amazing. We were visiting the Warwick Castle and stayed in the hotel for the night. It is very quiet and beautiful place, the staff is attentive and welcoming. The breakfast was magnificent - thanks to the interior and atmosphere I felt like a lord. I highly recommend visiting, the place will create excellent impressions.
Only wish - please make beds more comfortable.
Poor. We arrived for pre meal drinks in the lounge by the Warwick Restaurant. We felt like an inconvenience. Quite a few men in suites looking important but ignoring us. It was embarrassing and we felt unimportant. We were charged £2.60 for service we didn’t get by a waiter who clearly felt he deserved it just by being ‘Mallory Court’ Went to sencha restaurant, They missed off one of our courses. A treat for my husband turned into such a disappointment and I’m very upset
Although the staff were welcoming, polite and friendly, overall the contents of the afternoon tea were disappointing. Three finger sandwiches each, two made with white bread, followed by a tasty brioche savoury, then three obviously shop-bought cakes. The rhubarb and custard macaroon was hard and the lemon meringue tart had a chemical flavour. The scones at the end of the tea were hard. The teas were a good flavour though and plenty of tea available. Finally, I had told the reception on booking that this tea was a gift for a 70th birthday but there was no recognition of this at the afternoon tea. All in all, we would not be able to recommend this afternoon tea to anyone else.
Generally superb hotel with amazing staff and beautiful facilities and views. Expensive but you get what you pay for in life.
On a Saturday night, the restaurant took a long long time to deliver the food. Our main course arrived two hours after we sat down. That's poor, even though the starters, wine, etc were great and the food overall outstanding.
We booked a room for one night in a hotel that, according to the website, is ‘the epitome of s quintessentially English country house snd spa. Little did we know we would be so disappointed. Negative points: - Bed too small in length - Duvet not very big either - Cold on entry in the room - Scuff marks on the wall & edge of the wall chipped, marks on the carpet - Cold in the bathroom in the morning & difficult to regulate the hot water shower - Only 1 robe & no slippers - Remote control batteries need changing - Poor color scheme Some positives: - The Spa was very good - Very nice in the main house - Breakfast was good We weren’t asked if we had had a pleasant stay but were thanked for our feedback. ‘Mentioning it to housekeeping’ will hardly resolve the issue. Also saying that ‘this was a corporate room’ when you have already paid £166 cannot possibly be an excuse in a hotel claiming to be of a high calibre!
Two day conferencing event at the Mallory Court. Service was first class, conferencing facilities and organisation very good. Food very good and the dinner was sensational. Bedroom was large, comfortable and very well equipped. Wouldn’t hesitate to return.
Went for afternoon tea. Whilst tea itself was satisfactory service levels were verging on the atrocious. Unprecedentedly I refused to pay the discretionary service charge whilst expressing my disappointment. Upon returning I wrote and complained to the hotel expressing my dissatisfaction in the hope that my comments may assist in improving service levels in future. I have received no response which tells you everything you need to know about this establishment. We shall not be returning.
Really good dining in the asian fusion restaurant, lovely spa, great service, room, which was fairly upmarket, excellent apart from the banging and crashing from the kitchens. In fairness, after I did a little whining, the hotel did not jib at deducting the service charge, so a lot of people must moan! Essentially, posh, posh price, and a very good stay. Just avoid the room called Farnborough.
It was a lovely room, atmosphere and breakfast. The swimming pool was relaxing and the garden was good. All the staff were polite and helpful.
It was disappointing to not be able to order from the room service menu as we both liked the sound of that menu. We ended up being able to order simple chips and were allowed scones, but we really wanted a simple sandwich and pudding after a long journey. The sensha menu was not for us and the Warwick menu was too expensive. Breakfast made up for this bleep though. Also I couldn't operate the coffee machine in the room. Everything else was great.
We stayed Friday 6th February 2026 to celebrate my mum and her friend’s joint 70th birthdays. Prior to arrival the hotel had been really helpful liasing on planning our stay to make it really special and from the moment we walked in that was definitely the case. Kevin welcomed us and we sat down to enjoy a delicious afternoon tea in the library - what a beautiful location. When we checked in Stuart helped us with our luggage and showed us to our rooms which were all beautiful (we had two doubles and a twin) we then visited the spa - it’s quite small but beautiful especially the pool area and we also enjoyed the outdoor hot tub. We had booked a meal in The Warwick for the evening and what can I say but wow! Connor looked after us and was great at explaining all the different courses on the tasted menu and also made sure they were adapted for my mum who is coeliac and the food by Stu Deeley was sensational - a real experience for us all. The hotel itself and grounds are beautiful but the stand out thing for us all was the staff - everyone we spoke to could not have been nicer or more helpful, we popped our head in the door of one of the suites as it was being changed over and Angie and the housekeeping team chatted to us as well telling us more about the history of the building - all the staff we spoke to had a real sense of pride. Would highly recommend and look forward to coming back.
Lovely building set in great gardens. Very comfortable seating. Bedrooms were spacious and very clean.
We had a night in the Mallory while travelling for work. We were welcomed after a long drive by a smiling receptionist who quickly booked us in and passed us over to a chap who took us to our room carrying our bag. The room wasn't one of their best, or top priced rooms, but it was large, clean and perfectly equipped. We had no quibbles and are very happy to recommend this as an excellent place to stay if you are in the area.
Yesterday we celebrated my friends 50th birthday with a spa day at this beautiful peaceful spa, the facilities were clean and well looked after, the view was stunning and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The location was easy to find, it was excellent value for money and a nice quiet location. I had a full body massage and facial, the rooms were beautiful and both treatments were amazing. We had lunch in the restaurant, the bao buns and poke bowl were delicious. I would highly recommend Elan Spa for a day out with your favourite girls.
Tried to book a special birthday event, for Sunday lunch. they didn’t want to accommodate us, excuse after excuse. Disappointed as we’ve spent a considerable amount of money at this hotel re a wedding, wake, Sunday lunches and cream teas!
Noise from conference centre at 11pm
Lots of character. Especially enjoyed the complimentary hour in the spa.
Found the room too warm at night and needed to open the window.
Our room was comfortable and warm with an added heater just in case of need. We found all the staff to be friendly and helpful. Our evening meal arrived in good time and there was a good choice of food for breakfast the following day.
It was all fine.
The room was beautifully appointed, large and extremely comfortable. The staff were attentive and eager to help. They all seemed happy in their work. Everything about the hotel screamed luxury and comfort.
Nothing.
We had the two night New Year package here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Room was well equipped and comfortable enough (and the little treats provided were much appreciated!) despite a somewhat cramped bathroom and a few signs of wear and tear, but everything else was pretty much perfect. The dinner on New Year's Eve was amazingly good given how many people the kitchen and waiting staff were catering for, and the tasting menu we had for dinner on New Year's Day was outstanding in terms of quality, presentation and taste. Breakfasts were also excellent. The hotel's biggest asset, though, is its staff; everyone with whom we interacted was friendly, helpful, professional and efficient, and appeared to take pride in their work and in ensuring that guests were happy. That counts for a lot! All in all, a delightful couple of days.
We visited the Warwick at Mallory Court this evening for a birthday dinner treat. On arriving, we were shown to a meeting room set up with 4 tables of two and told to take our pick. Feeling slightly confused, we queried if this was part of the restaurant and were told that the main restaurant was booked out for a private party. Bearing in mind our reservation was made at the end of August, there had been more than enough time for them to make contact with us to explain the situation, which they had not. We'd been looking forward to visiting the Warwick having previously dined at The Wilderness and Smoke, when Stu Deeley was there, but not in a hastily set up dining room with absolutely no ambiance and no other diners. It was suggested that we could rebook for the following day once we had conveyed how disappointed we were. We declined and left. We were so disappointed and upset by the whole experience and lack of thought by the restaurant management. Would we book to go there again, absolutely not and we're sure to have a much better experience at Kynd next weekend. Shame on you the Warwick and Mallory Court.
Very comfortable and well managed. A cosy hotel with luxury feel at affordable prices.
No bar snacks. We arrived late after a long journey and didn’t want a big meal. Still that’s understandable. The menu looked nice and was reasonably priced.
We have been upgraded to a bigger room. The room is clean and elegant. They have prepared my kid a little teddy bear and a bathrobe for his size before arriving. Spa itself is very clean and pretty. Temperature is good. Outdoor Spa is warm. They also have very nice view. Kids are only allowed to the spa during specific times but it doesn’t bother us. We also enjoyed the lounge service there.
Not sure why outdoor pool doesn’t allow child
Wonderful Christmas package. Food was exceptional, staff friendly, fantastic gym and Spa area. For us it had it all. Thank you to all the staff for making our Christmas extra special.
We haven’t been to Mallory for a while , the last time was for an Afternoon Tea which was lovely and memorable. So this year we thought let’s visit for Christmas Day Lunch . Mrs T wanted somewhere nice and I’m glad to say she succeeded. Great 5 Course offering, Super ingredients , eaten at a relaxed manner, which meant that you didn’t feel rushed or over stuffed. Attentive and friendly staff , made for a very memorable Christmas Dinner We will be back , Thank you.
Stunning place
The staff, the service, the decor was exquisite
The pool was cold and wished they had a jacuzzi which was warm.
Excellent location, lovely staff. Clean and spacious room with complimentary snacks and tea etc. Sauna and steam room were lovely aswell. Also two restaurants on site and nice gardens.
The only thing I wish I had known was that there is also an outside jacuzzi and outside sauna which we only noticed at the end of our complimentary 1 hour slot in the spa. Otherwise. no complaints whatsoever
Cannot fault the staff or the quality of the food. Both excellent.
The restaurant was so cold we had to wear our coats for dinner and breakfast. The bedroom was also cold.
A small group of us visited today for a celebration afternoon tea for a big birthday. The service was incredibly bad ! The food was minimal with 3 tiny sandwiches, a minute tart and 3 tiny cakes . We kept having to go and find the staff for tea top up, and drinks . We all agreed that better food and service could be found elsewhere and none of us will visit again or recommend. Very, very poor for a hotel of so called 4*.
The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished, with a separate en suite bathroom and separate toilet. The main room was big enough to sit at a carved table with chairs, as well as a couch at the end of the bed. The Spa was tastefully equipped, with a pool, sauna and hammam steam room. The wood panelled dining room created a calm, peaceful atmosphere and the food was fantastic. The staff could not have been more helpful. Mallory Court is a special, if quite costly place to stay for a special weekend break.
Nothing
In advance of the stay the reception staff were phenomenal in their contact asking and making arrangements for evening meals, arrival, spa appointments and to advise of valet services and assistance with bags. The room was fabulous and very clean. The hotel provided a turn down service. Every consideration was provided for. We had dinner in the Warwick restaurant the first evening which can only be described as a culinary taste experience. The food was exceptional and waiters were prompt, provided excellent service. The second day i had a facial and i cannot stress how fabulous this was. I was so stressed before hand and was just super relaxed at the end of the treatment. The second night we had dinner in the Sencha restaurant and just simply excellent food and service. This hotel has it all and really nice touches. They have little parcels of seeds to take with you from their gardens as a gift. Leave chocolates in your room and apples with water and stocked fridge upon arrival. Extremely well done. Highly recommend
nothing our stay was exceptional
Our room was in the Spa area and this was not made obvious at time of booking, we wanted to be in the main house and had we known that we would of rang to ask for a change of room. The Asian restaurant was more like a lunch café, not a high end restaurant. The ambience was very casual and uncomfortable. We then went for drinks in the main house and the staff were reluctant to allow us to have a desert and service was slow for our drinks, the fireplace wasn't on and it just felt like we were in a waiting area, not somewhere comfortable to sit for drinks after dinner. We had come back to Mallory Court because we had fond memories after visiting here 10 years ago at the beginning of our relationship and wanted to celebrate our anniversary here but unfortunately we were quite disappointed.
Throughly impressed with the hotel, the location was perfect coupled with our room and facilities. Highley recommend.
Nothing all good
We visited for Sunday lunch. While the surroundings and food were generally lovely the service was disappointing. We were left sat waiting for someone to take a drink or and give us a menu. The food was generally good and well presented, although there was a long gap between courses. My fish dish was far from warm. My husband asked for more gravy which arrived after we had finished the meal. No one asked whether we had enjoyed the meal or otherwise. There was no cloakroom for guests to hang coats and the ladies toilets were not working properly. Such a shame as it has potential good be really good.
Excellent quality hotel with excellent service and staff.
We've just got home from the most amazing stay at Mallory Court. From arriving we were made to feel so welcome by the reception who told us everything we needed to know. We were promptly shown to the most beautiful 2 bedroom room called Ashorne. It was huge, and everything we needed, including slippers and a bath robe for our 3 year old (This really was an above and beyond moment for us) There was complimentary snacks and drinks in the fridge and my favourite Temple Spa products in all 3 of the bathrooms. We booked a table at Sencha for dinner and once again we were blown away by the decor and the warm and friendly welcome. The food was absolutely exceptional and was throughly enjoyed by all 5 of us (including 2 picky eaters) The restaurant staff literally went above and beyond to accommodate us with anything we asked for. 5 star service. Thank you! The room was warm and cosy and our only negative was that was a green light on both bedroom ceiling (from a sensor of somesort) that kept a few of us awake so definitely take an eye-mask to sleep in if you're sensitive to things like this. However I'm sure reception would have helped us with this but we didn't want to bother them. Breakfast the next morning was incredible again and there was lots of choice to accommodate us all. Overall we absolutely loved our stay. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Well done everyone and Thank you.
Comfortable and well kept
Nothing!
Exceptionally comfortable room and excellent dinner in the restaurant. Breakfast was also very good and the staff were all extremely friendly and efficient.
The grounds were a bit disappointing but that's a pretty minor negative.
We had a champagne afternoon tea today. It’s important to note, we have been 3 times before and had a lovely experience and today the mango and passion fruit cheesecake was delightful. However we won’t be returning. The sandwiches were a little stale. The sausage rolls were lukewarm, they would have been better cold or piping hot. The cream smelled off, very cheesy - I know clotted cream can have a slight aroma but this smelt beyond that. A second pot was provided with a fresh scone but this was the same once you got down to the bottom. It just didn’t smell right, very off putting and the waiter agreed. We have had lots of afternoon teas and not experienced this before. The message from the chef was ‘there is nothing wrong with it’ and we were offered butter instead. It’s expensive and supposed to be a luxury experience. It didn’t feel at all like this. We were so disappointed. This was an anniversary treat and we left with a bad taste in our mouth both metaphorically and literally. Staff were attentive and professional - we felt bad for the young waiter having to come and say, ‘sorry chef says it’s fine nothing wrong with it,’ procuring butter as an alternative. Normally we would have boxed up our remaining scones but honestly we didn’t want them after the response. I have previously gifted vouchers for afternoon teas here to friends and family but would not risk that now.
