The location, the staff , the roof top bar , the room all exceptional
We didn’t find anything we didn’t like
Great location close to the city centre.
Wasn’t told breakfast finished at 10am. We arrived at 10.02 and everything was cleared away.
Location Near shops and restaurants
Lack of parking Small window in room Some service by some reception staff
Location
That it was close to resturants
Tv in room constantly lost signal opened the curtains to see another building literally covered in pigeon foul it was really bad an constant pigeons on our window ledge all night. Rooms are basic u get more value staying in a premiere inn
Location. Clean and tidy
Booked in after a wait as the couple in front had issues with their room not being booked despite payment and confirmation email.. the room key card didn't work once I made it to the room. Had to return to reception where a new key card was issued. Electric sockets didn't work. Unable to charge phones. At 11:30pm I had to approach the reception where they came and investigated and did something to the power unit next to the room. It eventually was up and running. The toilet seat was broken, the seat moved aide says when sat on due to fixings not attached to the toilet.
Perfect location, clean hotel. The cookies you get on check in are a great touch too!

Lovely staff and setting
Really struggled with getting aircon to work properly!
Location & friendly helpful staff.
Some noises outside
Everything was just perfect
The location was great
Looking worn in places and the air on in the room wouldn’t stick to the temperature I put it at
Super Clean Ideal Central Lincoln Location Roof top bar is a great place to chill
Great location, lovely breakfast, nice pillows, good sized room.
Uncomfortable bed, run down bathroom, shower over bath hot and cold making a squeaking noise, cracked sink. Expensive.
Cheaper than a Premier inn
Bed was awful
Car parking facilities are poor. It would have been nice to know that it was full before I tried to negotiate it
Everything
Nothing to complain about
Convenient very near to the cathedral less than 10 min walk lots of good restaurants around
Comfortable and convenient great location
Location
No opening window for ventilation
Where it was positioned on the waterfront lovely place

The hotel was spotless, we upgraded to a suite with a view over Brayford Water which was beautiful. The actual suite was top notch. Clean, comfortable, spacious, luxurious, well laid out and with everything you could need. The staff were very helpful, professional and cheerful.
Staff were lovely and helpful especially with my 6 year old, storing his suitcase for him while we went shopping and just making a bit of a fuss of him making him feel special. Comfortable clean and lovely bathroom
That we didn't stay longer
Great location to explore the city, with plenty of choice to eat locally as well.
Though parking on site is available, there was no spaces for us when we arrived.
excellent breakfast spavious queen room
We particulary enjoyed the roof top bar and restarant location overlooking the marina. The staff were very nice. We had a TV reception issue and they provided us with a complimentary drink in the cocktail bar. Cheers!
You pay more for a room with a view - if you don't (like us) there is no view and you will be disappointed with that given the location.
Clean, very good breakfast, quiet and nice staff.

Fantastic location ,surrounded by bars ,restaurants and Cinema. 10 minute walk to Cathedral and Castle. Good size clean and quiet room. Breakfast was fantastic hot and cold selection ,served on top floor with views over City. Best brekkie from a hotel ever had. The speciality restaurant was great ,and discounted as a hotel guest. Car park under hotel ,16 pounds a day ,and safe.Pay on leave . Great hotel
Unfortunately TV signal was out of service for 24hrs ,but being fixed.
Everything, except the party boat moored at the front!
Good location staff weee efficient and pleasant
Car park insufficient, wash basin cracked and systems weee down when we checked in
Friendly Staff, room clean, nice breakfast with a view.
The fridge in the room powers down unless you leave a card in the light slot.
Room with balcony was wonderful worth the upgrade price. Staff were lovely
The location
All the systems was down meaning no Internet and tv
All good and very lovely position. Very fair when I wanted to change my stay, thanks
Dog friendly, excellent parking and location

Location, staff, breakfast, comfortable room
The room was facing a wall and not enough light, they need to add more lamps
The location was lovely. The welcome cookie was nice. The breakfast was fine.
Problems with check in due to the system being down. This meant I needed to ask again for non feather bedding and get that sorted once we got in our room. We felt the room was a bit tired so though passable there wasn’t a Hilton wow factor.
excellent airconditioning in the hotel. good breakfast and friendly helpful staff. would stay again. the rooftop bar has a lovely view and reasonably priced cocktails
nothing really , breakfast for us would have been better if time was extended to 10 am. car park a bit cramped . left my car exactly between the lines but found out that the car that had been parked after we arrived made it that i couldnt get back into my car. both cars parked exactly between the lines but opposite way round. otherwise enjoyable stay.
Lovely friendly staff, warm cookie on arrival was a great touch, location was perfect
Beds were too hard and didn't get a good nights sleep, would expect parking to be included for over £100 per night.
The location was Great and on the water side!
The bathroom wasn’t clean and it seems that there was still urine in the toilet. It feels that the bathroom or room wasn’t cleaned- only bedsheets changed.
excellent breakfast location ideal for town centre and restaurants room very comfortable
too many stairs
Location breakfast and staff
Room had stains on carpet, bathroom door blown and chipped outside view looking at mountains pigeon poo.
Room adequate, initial temperature challenging, but very clean and well presented.
Not a lot, save parking I suppose the fee inevitable but it is a city.
Very clean,everyone very friendly
The third bed had not been made up or towels left in bathroom, but staff soon sorted it once a call was made to reception - Toilet seat was very loose / broken -
Working toilet seat would have been nice, and bottled water in room
Good location. Helpful staff
Overbsth shower very awkward
Location was excellent. Breakfast and restaurant food could not fault, lovely.
Bedroom, small window with minimal natural light. Lamps in bedroom, main light needed as very dark.
Extremely friendly staff, very easy place to stay.
Parking effectively offsite but it’s very close
The room was fine, clean & comfy
Booked a room with a balcony over looking the water. We got one window and a brick wall over looking the back where there were other hotel carparks Very little parking space. So had to park on the multi storey. Which is very expensive Restaurant very basic considering its Marco pierre. Reception staff more interested in chatting
Staff were all lovely, room was a good size and beds were comfy. Breakfast was alright (nothing special) and location was really central.
Very limited parking despite being advertised as parking available, so we couldn’t get a space and had to walk with two kids from the multi storey.

Good location, comfortable bed, helpful staff and free cookies!
Noisy bathroom extractor fan in the room kept us up overnight, had to call out reception to resolve who came and helped quickly. Also woken up early in the morning to what seemed like furniture being moved around in the restaurant above. Shower was leaking water into the bathroom leaving a large puddle on the floor. Disappointed there was no actual coffee machine in the room, just a kettle and instant coffee sachets.
Comfortable room, great location
Very friendly staff! Clean good size room and provided cot for baby.
Booking.com messed up our booking, luckily Hilton were able to accommodate us. Only slight downside to the room was the side lights and main lights were connected but there were also lamps. Also the pillows are quite large, nice and comfy to rest against but maybe slightly too plump to sleep on.
Great
Location and facilities. Staff very friendly

Clean and great location.

Friendly staff Great location Lovely breakfast Clean room with a comfy bed
Room view was just the wall of the Holiday in next door. Directly opposite the Double Tree Hilton hotel is a party boat with ‘boom, boom’ head banging music all afternoon and all night until around 10pm. Do not pay for the suits (rooms with balcony), you will be directly above the party boat. From late afternoon onwards outside of the hotel (near the party boat) is full of drugged up people and drunk people as well as homeless. Double Tree Hilton rooftop bar is lovely however the outside area of the rooftop bar (two small balcony’s) all you can hear is the horrendous party bus music.

Breakfast is excellent.

The staff were lovely but the room was pretty poor compared to our expectations. We were not expecting a luxury hotel but the bed was very uncomfy and noise when one of us moved. The view was a brick wall so no natural light in the room. The cleaning was not great, we had dirty mugs and the kettle had a slimy film in it. The rooftop bar was a pleasant surprise. Great location but I’d probably chose another hotel if I was to visit Lincoln again
Pros: Friendly reception staff on arrival allowed me to check-in early. Room was comfortable and the aircon was excellent. Good location on a waterfront with lots of eating options. The steak restaurant on the fifth floor was a good option for dinner. Cons: Finding the hotel from the road was quite stressful and confusing. Get clear directions if driving. Parking is limited in an underground car park, and also an expensive additional charge. There were a couple of maintenance issues in the bathroom needing attention. The view from the window was of a brick wall. If a good view matters to you, specify this when booking. Some items were missing at breakfast. On my second morning there was no bacon, beans or fried egg, which was very poor. Staff said the items would be replenished "in a few minutes", but 10 minutes later still no bacon or eggs! It is only a 15-20 minute walk from the hotel to Lincoln city centre, but it is a climb up a hill called "Steep Hill". Appropriately named, it is very steep! Lots of nice independent shops along the way, but some people would struggle with the climb.
Lovely rooms, although the aircon was controlled remotely. At 07:00 hrs the aircon, although switched off, came on and blasted ice cold air into the room. We then had to get up, switch the aircon off, then wait about 5 minutes for it to stop. I mentioned this to reception but was told the system is on timer. On top of the room price we were charged a further 48 pounds to park the car for three days - huge amount to charge your customers. Hence only 3 stars.
Excellent customer service and very tidy place
Clean modern rooms, centrally located and a lovely view with breakfast. Also on site parking was a bonus.

Breakfast was very good. Very tasty sausages, bacon abd eggs. The MvC function we attended was in a good event suite. Much enjoyed it but rhe set menu for food was just 'weird' - curry influences on non Indian food????.
Our room 416 was very hot when we entered at 1645. We only ly had an hour to shower and change. We had a fan but I couldn't find the A/C. I told reception at 1800. They told me there was A/C, they checked and restarted it as it had turned itself off? I went back to room. The A/C control was behind the open wardrobe door. Not conspicuous. We attended our function expecting to return to a cool room at 1230am. But itcwas still hot! I called reception. They immediately changed my room to 433. Thus was better. Night nanager said the A/C in 416 was 'weak'? It was non existence. Although resolved and 50% refund was gratefully given, why put customers in a room you know has 'no' or 'weak' A/C? Not what I expected.
Our room was very clean and spacious. We had a good nights sleep and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. There was a good selection of cocktails in the Electric Bar.
The room had a great view. Was very spacious and comfortable.
The carpark. There was no signposting to the carpark at the back and it was very tight especially if parked between 2 bigger cars.
Lovely hotel great location, stopped in this hotel 3 times would highly recommend
Nothing not to like unless you're a person who likes to moan about everything
Very nice hotel with very nice rooms, staff were never helpful and accommodating. The location is great but the surrounding night life is loud.
Walls are very thin and can hear conversations in the next rooms and hallway so sleep was a bit disrupted
Breakfast good. Staff friendly. Good shampoo body wash products. Modern room. Hair dryer powerful. Handy to have iron
Noisy room next to lifts, bed quite hard. Small amount of rubbish on floor when entered room. View of bins but did not book quay view so understand this. No stairs next to lift? Lift took along time one out of order for some time
We stayed here as we were attending a charity function in the hotel. Good points - staff were great, especially the waiting staff in the function. Great choice of breakfast. Room was clean and spacious and bed really comfortable. Air conditioning which was good in the warm weather. Bad points - no small fridge in which to keep our water & milk cool. The the main issue ...while the curtains suggested a large window, we opened them to reveal a small un-opening window with frosting, which had been peeled off to reveal a brick wall only a couple of feet away and we could see nothing else. No daylight. No idea of weather outside and quite claustrophobic. There may have been options to choose a room 'with a view' and had I realised that this was the alternative I would have paid extra. I don't need a spectacular view, but not NO view whatsoever. There was no lighting in the room suitable for getting ready/makeup etc in a mirror, bathroom typically lit from above causing shadows, or lamps for ambient lighting only. Get some LED mirrors! Don't think it was very good value for money given this and if I was staying in Lincoln again I'd look at other hotels first.
Location, quiet at night, close to the station and equally city centre. Lovely staff, clean and spacious. Restaurant was also very good, breakfast particularly good.
Location, good clean room, friendly and helpful staff, and a good selection at breakfast.
Noise from bar despite being the opposite end and two floors lower, also paying to park. Cocktails not up to standard.
Nice location, friendly staff. Clean and comfortable.
People moving furniture in the above door restaurant at 1am, also the AC was weak
Beautiful hotel amazing breakfast really good choice of food the staff were very friendly and helpful hotel in a good position too
Do not stay in this hotel. They are operating a duplicitous parking scam. They do not communicate to overnight guests that the parking charges need to be paid separately to their third party (not disclosed at the time) partner. The staff will show you where the car park is, say nothing about charges and then on departure, after paying your bill at reception, the car park barrier simply lifts without seeking validation or payment. The parking company - Parkmaven - then wait several months before contacting you to tell you that you now owe them £170. No warning, no prior communication, just a demand to pay. When the hotel was subsequently contacts to challenge this matter they openly confessed that it is a common occurrence. If you value integrity, fair play and honesty avoid this hotel like a plague pit. Appalling.
Excellent location, clean and well-equipped rooms, friendly and helpful staff, delicious cookies on arrival, comfortable beds, air conditioning, quiet rooms. Excellent stay.
Nice room and excellent shower.
Terrible hard mattress and awful soft pillows unable to get comfortable and sleep
It was really nice along with the staff.
Nothing.
Comfortable and clean room. Location was right on the river. Breakfast was good as in all Hilton properties.
Bar was small and expensive. Received an message from Hilton that offered 2 cocktails for £14 but staff said this wasn't available as a new Hotel Manager was in post and they didn't seem to think he was offering that concession. Disappointing. Lifts required use of room key to activate movement to the room floor. Fine as a security measure but forced to carry room key at all times.
De ligging van het hotel
Good breakfast No small fridge in the room.
Small fridge
Unfortunately we stayed during one of the very hot days and the air conditioning wasn’t working in our room We did complain and were told it had been sorted but when we went back to our room much later in the evening and turned it on there was no change Apart from that there were no other problems Restaurant and rooftop bar were very good
Very hot room
Location, the cookies 🍪 on arrival 😋 cleanliness, bathroom facilities, comfortable BIG bed. Great stay
Staff and location
Breakfast, lousy lighting in bedroom, couldn't see to apply make up and too air conditioned .
The location is good and the noise level low that is the plus points now the bad this is when the temperature is 32C walked into the hot room and there is a filthy fan tried the aircon and it is not working , the customer has no control over it so went to reception told me they would put it on, well they put it on but barely and at midnight they turned it off so had a awful nights sleep and at 7am on it came again! Yes you saved a few pennies on the aircon but not really as neither me or my extended friends and family will ever be staying with the hilton brand again!
Excellent location
Being startled awake by an 8:25 am fire alarm system sounding above our bed in our room 404 on our second morning
Great central location. Very clean. Great air con and blackout blinds. Very comfortable bed. Vegan food. Great views Staff well trained, friendly and helpful.
There was no information at all about hotel facilities or restaurants in room.
My son said it was a lovely stay. Staff very helpful. The room was spotless and ved comfortable
Reception was a little disappointing no welcome, no asking your name, just you need to come back later. Both receptionists appeared to be more interested in chatting to someone they knew, possibly another member of staff who had finished a shift.Unfortunately first impressions have impacted my review. The location was not good if you intended visiting the castle on foot. However it was close to plenty of bars and restaurants and a mariner
