met all expectations good facilities clean. friendly staff perfect for my needs

Location , were big northampton stadium fans so this hotel is about 5 mins drive from stadium.

Booked in at last minute at a very busy time early august and had a most comfortable nights sleep.

Nothing really to dislike

All staff seemed happy to be working there , the bar staff we chatted to were brilliant , reception staff were very helpful , cleaning staff were always happy , the food was really good , a decent price , breakfast was some of the best buffet food l have had in a hotel .

The price of wine , the TV was hopeless , it needs instructions , the bed was too soft for me but my partner slept fairly well , we had a dog with us as it stated dog friendly £10 a night extra , no dog basket or even a dog blanket , no bowls or even treats , walking the dog was ok , they have areas on hotel site where l feel they could fence off with gate access to allow dogs to run free .

The bathroom was very clean and the shower was really nice and had a lot of power to it. Staff friendly. Parking was easy. Quiet location too.

The bed was very clean but could be better in terms of comfort. Still had a good nice sleep.

I loved the hotel! Staff were so friendly especially Ethan when I checked in who found me a room with a bath which was much needed! Room was clean and plenty of everything inside. Breakfast far exceeded my expectations! There is a spectular view of the river a few minutes from the hotel which is very beautiful. I would definitely recommend this place and come again.

I wish there was water and a fridge in the room

I think the price was reasonable enough given the date and popular nearby event, the room was exactly as expected as seen on the website, it was very clean, comfortable bed, well stocked. The breakfast buffet had a good selection and variety of food to choose from including cooked breakfast, cereal, fruit, yogurt and more which all tasted fresh along with a hot drinks machine and fruit juices even providing biodegradable takeaway cups that you can take with you for the journey ahead.

Could have been more vegetarian options on display at the cooked breakfast buffet. Though I became aware afterwards that vegetarian sausages are available on request this isn't signposted and I only found out by overhearing another guest asking for them. Also our room card didn't permit us access to the on site gym which I believe was included in the price on the booking.com listing page.

we had end room i believe room 34,unfortunately everytime theinternal corridors are open,it causes the door to the room to bang.when this happens early in the morning starting on 1 occasion,at 5.45,and banging 6 times in 90 minutes,u end up getting up,we left day early as could not face another night being disturbed,wont be going back ,unless they resolve this problem,reception said they would prop the door open,but u cannot,as its a dire door,and does not stop someone from closing it anyway

One speed bump to the right of the carpark is a big excessive, I was driving 5 mph and I thought it had damaged my car, you have to almost stop to go over it

One of the mattresses was broken with springs out the side. Very noisy. Tried to charge us twice with a payment at the bar that wasn’t us as we were at a wedding at that time so clearly somebody else had tried to put something on our room.

Ontbijt was goed en personeel was aardig. Bedden waren ook goed.

Hygiëne was minder dan dat we verwacht hadden. Maar voor 1 nacht was dit wel te overzien.

There was a party near the bar not in a room so was so noisy you couldn’t talk at all and was yelling to tell bar staff , what you wanted to drink , the music was so loud not the party goes fault, but should have room for them so other can have a drink at the bar in peace and not to feel like you are interfering in their party

The room’s air conditioning was very cool in the afternoon but became too warm during the night. Beds were very comfortable and breakfast ok, though only had continental.

Only two disabled parking bay, not adequate for size of hotel especially as main parking is at the rear to far for restricted mobility.

The two double beds as usually a child’s bed is just a sofa bed at hotels

They didn’t put different types of pillows in the room they were all hard. Although apparently you could ask for soft but didn’t want to go down after I’m in my pjs

Ottima posizione, hotel molto.bello (presente anche la zona congressi che non abbiamo usato ma sembrava molto accogliente). Colazione ottima e anche servita per un tempo decisamente lungo (3 ore), iniziando presto al mattino (6.30 o 7) il che per noi era ottimo perché poi uscivamo per giro turistici. Non abbiamo provato la cena. Parcheggio disponibile gratuitamente

Really enjoyed our one-night stay at the Holiday Inn Northampton. The room was absolutely massive, very clean and had everything we needed. There was plenty of room for our family of five, which made the stay really comfortable. The air conditioning was a real bonus and very welcome. We booked the dinner, bed and breakfast deal, which was great value for money. The food was decent and we had a really good night's sleep. We visited the nearby riverside hub soft play, only 6 mins away. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay with good facilities and excellent value for money. We would definitely stay again!

Just arrived for a 3 night booking made 1 month ago to be told they are full and have overbooked due to a new system installed last week. Shocking and of absolutely zero help in finding an alternative. Left without a bed. Now got to find an alternative.

Didnt stay in the property. Disappointed with the service received. Requested to change the property to another holiday inn( same group) in the same area where I had an existing booking as booked an additional room in the wrong hotel in error as was in a rush as travelling for a close family wedding. Booking.com where helpful in trying to resolve however the request was rejected by the hotel. Outcome was me having to book an additional room for my family member at the hotel I was staying at and being charged for a room which was not utilised.

They use parking eye. I didn’t have a car on this occasion but I’m never a fan when I see a company using parking eye.

I've used this location for business trips a number of times, the rooms and work space are a good size (single occupant) with coffee/tea facility, toiletries, (powerful shower) iron, hairdryer etc. I've not used the dining. There are two additional restaurants within a 10 minute walk, both very good. Easy access to the M1

Not one thing was out of place. No tiny niggles like you sometimes get but never mention. And the staff were exceptional; really nice, pleasant people who I thank for a lovely stay. Solid evening menu and breakfast options too.

All staff very friendly and attentive. Hotel clean, spacious and good condition. Hotel restaurant was very good, open early for breakfast until 11am and open again late until 10pm which was ideal for us as we arrive late. We were pleasantly surprised by the extensive and varied menu. Food was good quality and quantity. The bar was well stocked and run efficiently. Holiday Inn Northampton exceeded out expectations.

The USB sockets in the rooms were mostly faulty, either completely failed or charging very slowly. Yes, they are delicate electronic terminals which obviously encounter high frequency use in a hotel room but maybe the Holiday Inn group could invest in better quality USB terminals or renew them on a regular basis to ensure reliable operation. USB charging is an essential feature in this age.

Accommodation was spectacular with very well sized and comfy rooms. Perfect stay if visiting Billing offroad show especially if travelling in your own vehicle as the free parking is a bonus. Car park felt safe too. I would totally recommend.

Was not particularly fond of the restaurant. Dinner did not meet my expectations.. but domt let it judge your stay at this hotel. Breakfast was good on the other hand.

Tha hotel was a lovely big hotel with good amenities, ample secure parking, restaurant was nicely designed and food was amazing . Staff very friendly and professional, room was a good size clean and tidy and comfortable.

The rooms had air con and a bit noisy when on but you could turn them off so not too bad but a god send in hot weather , the shower was designed with half glass and just stand shower no bath so the water ran out the other end and on floor so you need towels down to absorb the water.

The staff were courteous and friendly. We loved our room, particularly the air conditioning, a real lifesaver on the scorching summer day we chose to stay. Breakfast was also excellent, offering a great variety of food.

Breakfast staff were great - even though at one point they were overran with guests and it was a little chaotic. Most of all the gentleman on the desk when we checked out was fab, happy, upbeat, friendly and helpful. He made a real fuss of our 2 little girls giving them colouring bits and bubbles, really made an impression on us.

Check in was difficult - both girls were on the desk were flat, had to ask a few questions to get all the information we needed when something as basic as how the restaurant/breakfast works etc should perhaps have been explained? I used to work for holiday inn and just found the difference from the evening staff to the morning staff - night and day quite literally. Rooms were basic but aren’t most HI’s

Had a pleasant stay

We only had bath 1 towel and 1 hand towel, considering I booked a room for 2 I would expect atleast 2 of each. Unfortunately it was too late to ask for one so we shared a towel which is nor ideal

Room was cozy and comfortable. We needed toothpaste though 😂 other than that we would have loved to stay in northhampton longer and enjoy it a bit more.
