Location was handy for attending nearby event.

When booking it didn't explain we were going to be separated and had actually booked two rooms. but the guy on reception tried to cram us into one and didn't reveal we had two rooms until we asked.

No lift! But I understand I cannot always avoid stairs! I must ask in future.

Room was too hot and the fan didn’t work. We opened the windows but this didn’t make much difference as they had been shut all day. Shame because this is an easy fix but really let down the whole stay.

Location great. Ample free parking. Room was super nice… spacious modern bathroom, very comfy bed and pillows, tea making facilities, fridge, fan .. even ear plugs provided as hotel is on a busy road. Staff were fabulous.. particularly a lovely young lady from Greece… don’t know her name but full marks to her!

Could do with more accessible sockets for charging devices in the room. 10.30 checkout at the weekend? Come on guys… I need a lie in after a night out! Noon would be amazing but even 11am would make all the difference!

Charlotte who was front of house on our arrival was friendly and welcoming.Staff generally were helpful and responsive to any requests. The room we booked was on the second floor, spacious and comfortable bed, clean room with some amenities like gowns, slippers, tea/coffee making facilities…

Location was good for attending a nearby festival but it is in a run down part of town. If more than one night, I would not necessarily choose to be in this location.

The hotel was immaculately clean. The cleaning staff do a fantastic job and the hotel clearly has pride on its presentation. I was really impressed with this hotel and the reception staff were excellent, thankyou so much for a happy, clean comfortable stay. Also, the bed was super cpmfy!

La salle de bain très vielle avec des dalles de sol non jointées et une porte de douche qui ne fermait pas. Et rien pour poser notre trousse de toilette. Le matelas mou et plus large que le sommier qui fait qu’on tombe du lit quand on est sur les bords. La chaleur dans la chambre - obligé de dormir avec ventilateur et fenêtre ouverte , donc avec tout le bruit de la forte circulation du carrefour. Cet hôtel n’est pas à la hauteur de l’enseigne BW et méritait un gros coup de rénovation.

Muito bem localizado, quarto grande, cama grande e confortável, banheiro espaçoso e bem bonito, bom chuveiro. Bem perto de tudo também, da estação, do centro e do Delapré Abbey, onde eu fui ver um show. Muito fácil chegar e sair de qualquer lugar. Me hospedaria novamente.

Our room faced onto a main road junction and therefore was it was very noisy to have windows open which was required due to hot weather. My advice would be to ask for a room facing away from the main junction outside or take good earplugs.

Aphrodite goes over and beyond! She is respectful to guests and welcomed us with such a friendly demeanor. The beds are so comfortable, we love the beds!!! They are so thoughtful, the room had fan for the heat.

The beds are comfortable, had such a relaxing, comfortable nights sleep. Aphrodite is respectful, professional and courteous. The location is so convenient, guests have so much variety as restaurants, take aways and shops are close by. Onsite parking is great too.

The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and very well equipped, with everything we needed. The staff were friendly, welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful, especially allowing us to drop our car off early before heading to a local event, which made our day much easier. It's a charming little hotel in a great location, and although we only stayed one night, we'd happily stay again. Customer service was excellent throughout, and it's clear the team genuinely care about their guests.

The main reason for this is that I was not informed that there was a private function so there was no food or bar open to people staying at the hotel. The staff were trying to be helpful but with my walking⁰problems. Walking was a big problem. To get to another location for a drink or food sorry. That is why I was not happy. As I do use your company on a regular basis. And for someone who uses you with a platinum card to get upset is rather upsetting. Thanks

Only here for an overnight stay to break up our journey and the hotel was as expected. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast and also continental choice. Staff very accommodating and friendly.

Pleasant urban large-chain hotel with good rooms for short stays. Large bar area. Excellent helpful staff including in evening/bar.

No lift and not very smooth to get to upstairs rooms. Ok for a big chain hotel but I expected a bit more distinctiveness for an historic pub-inn. No in-room safe. Standard fare for breakfast but a bit slow when taken early and with strange coffee arrangements.

The room was large and very clean. Front facing aspect which could have been noisy during the week, (Hotel does supply ear plugs if required). We had no problem sleeping at our Bank holiday weekend stay. Fairly quiet with the windows open even. The full English breakfast we had was excellent. Plenty of food cooked to a high standard. We had an evening meal at the hotel and again the food was excellent. Very well priced good value. All the food for our stay was freshly cooked to high standard. The staff at the hotel were very friendly, very professional and very helpful. Would HIGHLY recommend this hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

I hadn’t expected evening meals to be available (based on details when booking). On arrival we were advised that evening meals could be ordered, and as we had driven down from Scotland and were tired, we did order. The price was fair, but I would have preferred higher quality food even if it cost more

There was something indefinable and good about my stay. It was basic accommodation. The window in my room faced west, into the afternoon sun, and a busy street intersection. Both days the outdoor temperature reached almost 30. degrees. I expected the room to be too hot and noisy. To the contrary I slept better than I had in all luxury hotels (including Sea Containers and Fawsley Estate) over the previous month. The room was comfortably warm and the traffic noise diminished by 8pm. The burger for dinner and full English breakfast (included) were both competently prepared and very acceptable. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room had been upgraded and was spacious and comfortable. The shower was easy to use and we had robes and slippers which was great. We didn’t have dinner but breakfast was well cooked and tasty. The lounge and bar area was pleasant. Parking was easy and free.

Our room whilst very good was too warm for me, but the traffic was noisy so I only opened the window for a few minutes. There was a fan that I could have used, which makes being too warm my problem really!

Excellent customer service from the staff. The breakfast meal was quite good and comprehensive. The rooms are spacious and neat. Wifi connection is good and reliable through out. Hotel is not congested.

The breakfast cutoff time should be extended from 09.30AM to 10.30AM or 11.00AM.
