Mount Errigal Hotel, Conference & Leisure Centre

Would have like potatoe bread or soda bread as I dont eat meat. Other than that it was fine. Had to wait for cups and glasses but it was busy. Staff were very pleasant

Easy access. 6th floor hall was run down and the decorative pillows in the room were beyond the expiry date. Beds were comfortable. The staff were very helpful and personable.

Remote was sticky so not cleaned well and the carpet at the room entrance was quite dirty.

The front foyer was excellent, my father loved just sitting and relaxing there. The pub food was superb, and my son loved the swimming pool.

Spacious room with all usual accessories.

Front facing room was noisy due to road. However, traffic light at night.

Airy reception and dining area for both dinner and the separate breakfast area. The staff were all friendly and provided an excellent service. The bedroom was roomy.

Bathroom was small compared to the room. Hardly any tea bags. Out particular room got all the noise from staff moving bins early in the morning, which woke us up.

The evening meal in the hotel (paid separately), however it was hard to get staffs attention even thought it wasn't overly busy.

The room, we were firstly given the wrong room and then moved. The second room was full of dust, spider webs etc the carpet was a different colour around the room where layers of dust were left. The morning breakfast selection was also not great and we felt rushed by staff watching and clearing and cleaning our table when we went for toast.

There was a wedding and party booked so there was no room for guests to use the restaurant or bar areas

The down stairs reception was lovely

The rooms are very dated for being a 4 star hotel, amenities were poor, carpets in the newer rooms were heavily stained. Room was right beside what seemed to be an outdoor service area for staff, constantly hearing bins being dragged past out windows.

The room was nice and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We didn’t really get a chance to use the facilities as we mainly just used the room to sleep, but everything was great for what we needed.

Der Eingangsbereich macht einen sehr hochwertigen Eindruck und ist definitiv eines Vier-Sterne-Hotels würdig. Auch das Frühstück war gut und bot eine schöne Auswahl.

Abgesehen von der Lobby ist das Hotel leider extrem heruntergekommen. Unser zuerst zugewiesenes Zimmer roch stark nach Zigarettenrauch und entsprach mit zwei Einzelbetten nicht unserer Buchung für ein Doppelbett. Obwohl der Zimmertausch nach Reklamation problemlos klappte, enttäuschte auch das zweite Zimmer: Es war weder sauber noch einladend. Die Teppiche waren voller Flecken, die Matratzen waren komplett durchgelegen und das Badezimmer befand sich in einem unhygienischen Zustand mit Schimmel sowie mangelhafter Ausstattung (keine Halterung für Toilettenpapier).

Really enjoyed our stay, would definitely recommend the hotel but feel that it needs a spruce up, a little dated.

We liked the recently updated reception area and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Is also a good base point for seeing things in Donegal.

Our first room was based above the bar and the noise coming from there went on to the early hours of the morning. The fire alarm was also set off during the first night and there didn’t seem to be a clear fire escape system in place.

Very central for shopping and walking distance to the town. Restaurant and bar service was very good and the food was exceptional. All the staff were very friendly and attentive.

The room we stayed in was very spacious. The bathroom was a bit dated. It was set up for wheelchair access but not sure if they used a wheelchair how they would get into the very low bath with out help. Otherwise the room was ok and comfortable.

For the most part, the staff were helpful and friendly. Location was close to the gig we were going to. The Reception area, restaurant and bar are well presented.

When we opened the door to our room, we were greeted with a horrendous smell from the drains. Even with the bathroom door closed and window, we experienced the hotel all night. Generally the room was outdated and needed to be painted. There was mould in the bathroom on the ceiling and wall tile grout and also on the curtains in the bedroom. Breakfast was cold and after queuing for the coffee machine, it ran out of milk before we got there. I could go on..

Great location, few minutes drive from main town area. Staff extremely helpful and facilitated an early check in. Hotel was clean and lobby was modern.

Our room 125 was smelly (like drains) it was also beside the bin store so at 8 am the moving of the bins was very annoying .no safe in room. We could hear the guy next door snoring. Hair on bath mat.

It was very close to the town centre, the breakfast was lovely and the rooms are very spacious, the staff are so friendly and are always happy to help

The beds aren’t overly comfy but that’s the only flaw I saw in the place everything else was perfect

The restaurant wasn’t great. The waiting staff were quite abrupt and made it clear that they were irate. They gave us the menus and asked us to choose straight away. She was quite abrupt and made it clear we were an inconvenience even though we had been told they were still serving. She was v unhelpful and just kept saying that’s not being served today etc. It was clear there were more problems at other tables also.

The Interior could do with re paint same with pool area,alot of flakey paint work No Air con in rooms/we did get a fan from reception But still very hot Carpet was black kids socks were shocking Broken plate at the outdoor seating area.I Reported it to staff incase a child or someone fell on it.We came back hours later an plate still there It is a lovely hotel Just needs some attention I would go back

Lovely room and great facilities.We used the pool, jacuzzi and gym. Food and service in the bar area were also excellent.

The lobby is beautifully done. The location was perfect for our purpose.

The bar seemed understaffed. The rooms did not live up to the promise of lobby/lillies. They are dated and in disrepair. There was a lack of amenities provided, I.e. 1 shampoo/1 shower wash provided for a room of 4 people. The main bathrooms outside the ballrooms were smelly.

Lovely friendly staff.... Very nice atmosphere in the hotel. Super helpful. Pool area was busy but big and spacious. Good price for charging electric cars. Breakfast was good. Overall a very enjoyable experience

Little disappointed that it was a twin room we got instead of a big bed... But maybe my fault for not specifically asking at booking. Toilet was not bolted to the floor so moved a lot and small shower hose button was stuck in position for rain fall only but by time we noticed was too late at night to tell someone.

Enjoy the leisure center it exceed all expectations! And there was an amazing selection for the breakfast!

Our room was old fashioned, dirty and run down, all night we could hear doors banging and people up walking the corridor we were in room 108, pool was dirty ( dirty plaster in hottub) We went to cafe boulevard for dinner, long wait for drinks, order food, got our food before our drinks. Wouldn't say this is a 4 star rating.
