Clean & spacious rooms.
The environment was okay, the staff were pleasant
The room was a bit small and I didn't like the wall painting
Open plan lobby, good facilities with the pool. Staff were friendly and helpful.
A little bit out of Portsmouth with taxi’s costing 11 pounds to Gunwharf.
The room was very clean and the beds extremely comfortable. This was the second time we stayed and have already booked to come back.
Nothing
Excellent rooms and comfy beds
Staff were brilliant and couldn’t be more helpful
No spa or pool
It was very clean and the staff were always smiling which is a good y
Very small dislike because there was no pool or spa
Why put in a disabled room?

Staff were nice and cheery, great location and massive property with a pretty good gym.
Honestly the beds and pillows were really uncomfortable. Expected more comfort for a 4 star hotel
Average hotel, don't like bath's with showers prefer a shower for safety.
As above plus the toilet is so close to the bath a fat person would have difficulty. No
Love this hotel always stay here

Restaurant was excellent. Secure parking. Very convenient location for cross-channel ferry
Great hotel everything we needed was on site professional service
The room itself was lovely - two double beds. A bath, which was unusual and the breakfast was very good. Good location on the outskirts of Portsmouth.
We were given a room which overlooks the function room downstairs and there was a disco on which caused considerable noise. After complaining, we were moved to one of the higher floors. The beds were a little too hard.
Absolutely everything

Good location
Room wasn’t ready although they said it was. Was given another room, again, room was not cleared properly and staff walked in without knocking and admitted they didn’t check the room before the reception allocating it to me.
Brill place to stay, but no swimming pool anymore.😪
Swimming pools gone
We went to stay there as it’s convenient off the ferry And wanted to watch the football as done many times but couldn’t cause no sky football a big organisation should be able to afford sky football
No football station
The staff members at welcome desk were very helpful and cooperative. Specially at checkout time when we needed an extra hours for late checkout
Breakfast space needs to be bit more spacious as there were queues and waiting time ( when only half an hour left), which might be a reason for staff members at breakfast time were in state of hurry and exhausted
Fantastic hotel
Well I missed the swimming pool
Nice room and a professionally run hotel.
Windows cannot be opened.
Pricey, slightly old out dated hotel, paying over the odds reallt for what you get.
Bed wasn't actually that comfortable just generally for 244 00 per night its high for what you get, dated decor.. clean yes but not worth that much.
Convenient and clean
Hate the fact that the hotel uses plastic-backed mattress protectors which I have a slight allergy to. They really make for poor sleep. I always pull them off but that’s a hassle.
Check in was excellent, our service from the staff was courteous and very helpful as we were very early and and wanted to park the car before heading off into the city for the day. They assisted with checking in our car and organising a taxi for us. Our room was a good size for four, it was very clean and just right for our needs of an overnight stay. Beds were extremely comfortable, lovely bed linen and pillows very soft. The bathroom, shower and toiletries provided were all very pleasant. Nice fluffy towels. Our room faced inward across the bar area, so we were unable to see outside, but this was not a problem for a one night stay. Good blackout curtains and no irritating lights on in the room, so we all had a good night's sleep. We did not notice any noise of other occupants in neighbouring rooms or corridor and the hotel was busy. so top marks for the sound proofing. We were late getting in that night, so were not able to use the bar in the evening. We didn't take breakfast at the hotel either, but the bar area looked very welcoming.
Only one very slight niggle. We had listed four people when booking our room, but there were only two cups and glasses in our room. As it was late we managed until the next morning, when room service quickly brought more.

Restaurant, breakfast
Spacious clean comfy beds and good bathroom tv size good. Friendly helpful staff good price and value. And later checkout it’s a massive win
Restaurant and bar a little on the pricey side for what it is
Clean, comfortable, friendly staff
We did not like breakfast
convenient location for our needs, nice big room.
strange smell of drains in the bathroom, shower very small, would of preferred 1 king bed over 2 double beds. only 1 bedside table, not enough sockets near to beds.
The property is neat and clean. We really like this hotel very much.
I like everything in the property
Breakfast was great Rooms nice and bright Massive comfortable bed Great in room facilities Pet friendly Good parking
Cot offered was not fit for purpose and we actually bought a travel cot from Argos to use.
Location was very good outside the city centre which is always good for restful times. Transportation links good and places to eat v close to the restaurant if needed

Location good, nice hotel very friendly staff
The bed was so hard and uncomfortable! Literally did not sleep all night! 🥴
Personale molto disponibile, pulizia e buona colazione
.
the hotel was beautiful above expectations, however we cam down a little late 10:50am, we went to grab a quick breakfast as we already paid for this, the staff were VERY rude saying its too late kitchen is closed, not oh better be quick grab what you can! which is what i would of expected.
as above
Big rooms , amazing breakfast
A bit far from the city centre
Nice clean hotel
Locations
Nice clean,
Peculiar window pointing to buffet hall
Everything was very nice and clean, staff were super friendly and location is in a perfect spot Rueben who helped us check in was absolutely amazing and very helpful 10/10

Staff welcoming and professional. Room very clean and well appointed.
The bed was super hard .
Spacious room
Needed a little refresh
Not close enough to walk to shops or restaurants

Clean rooms and common areas. Showers had great water pressure. Very helpful staff. Rooms are large and well laid out. Nice breakfast, albeit a bit noisy during peak times due to open plan dining area.
EV charger not working due to be destroyed by a food truck. We required this facility and had no notification of it being out of order until we arrived. In fact, we had emails boasting about the EV charging facilities and information telling us where to locate it. Beds were hard as rock! Most uncomfortable sleep I have had in some time. Hidden deposit of £50 a night taken on arrival - not made obvious this was required anywhere in booking so beware and budget for this.
Lovely place.. I enjoyed my stay there Great breakfast, lovely staff and a peaceful place to be. Will visit again soon...
I absolutely loved everything there🫢

The location.
Very noisy in the bar and restaurant areas.
The room was massive and facilities were great :)
The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable, for someone who already has back problems I didn’t get much sleep
Lovely hotel just short taxi ride away from Gunwharf Quays with shops and restaurants.
Great location a little annoyed we had to pay parking when paying near £500 for the stay. Breakfast is a bit repetitive same thing every day. Sausages, beans, bacon ect No choice of eggs just scrambled which apparently wasn't great. For me prefer continental anyway. though my husbands and kids prefer friend eggs. I think food should be covered up like the fruit and yogurt. Pastries ect as flies were about. I saw a big blue bottle on the muffins having a feast. 🤢 Other than things mentioned above I had a lovely stay. Everywhere is so quite. My room Was clean and I slept very well. I normally can't sleep in hotels at all however here I slept all the way through the night.
Cleanliness of the hotel and friendly staff at front reception and breakfast staff.
Nous avons aimé le chic décontracté pour l'ensemble de l'hôtel.
Pour un hôtel touristique à côté du car ferry, personne ne parler un mot de français !
Nice room, restaurant, bar area, car park.
Unbelievably tight and stingy with tea bags, coffee and sugar. For that nightly rate I do NOT expect to have to phone reception to get more sugar. It’s not a Travelodge! Embarrassing for the management. Sort it out or replace whatever tightwad is responsible for this.
The location is close to supermarket. We got 7th floor so the view was fantastic

We were unsure of our arrival time due to ferry schedule and possibly delays so 24 hr reception was perfect
Nothing
Location and large comfortable room
Misunderstanding over an upgrade seemed like a common plot that many would overlook
Nice and clean
Very cool
Decent hotel which was close to the area I needed to be the following day
Paying £5 to park
Nice and clean
To get charged £5 for overnight car parking. For the amount I paid for hotel, it should be complimentary for the guests. Executive lounge provision will be good to have Gym door locked or may be had combination lock. Mattresses, if one person moves other person also gets disturbed , better to have either memory foam or something better. TV channels can be better, YouTube should be added. One guest fell down on floor due to mattresses issue, while in sleep.
Good car parking

Very quiet clean room Great location for us to get to the DFDS ferry terminal to go back to Jersey, minutes away

Modern, comfortable, great room
Location slightly out of Portsmouth so difficulty to get into the city on public transport or expensive Ina taxi They offer to have eggs cooked in on your liking but if you are going to offer this it should take 25 mins to get them
The space for parking,the location
Not so attractive inside, breakfast staff rude, short of customer service politeness, lack of variety of food.Stayed in room 406 and the bed was equivalent to sleep on the floor, very hard.

Bed was a little uncomfortable
Just clean
Hello, I paid £50, but I’m not sure why. The staff member told me that the money would be refunded to my account as cashback within one day. However, I still haven’t received it, and I really need the money. Could you please check the status of the refund and let me know when I can expect to receive it? Thank you.
Location was great, facilities are nice.
The room was a nice size however the mattress was very firm and the pillows were way to soft and collapsed when you laid on them so the support was poor. The bathroom was nice however when you sat on the toilet the wall was very close meaning it was very tight.

The bed was awful to sleep in, extremely hard. When we complained the following morning it was clear they were aware of this problem and had had many complaints about it. We were asked to pay a deposit on arriving which seemed odd as we had paid upfront for our stay. I was informed that we would receive the deposit back within 24 hours if our stay and over 48 hours we have still not received it back.. tried to call them only to get passed from AI bot to AI bot and charged £16 for the luxury of them not even being able to help us. Tried to send an email too so will see how that goes. Overall I wouldn't go back to this hotel, nor recommend it to anyone
It was OK.
No fried eggs. It could have been hotter.
Great for a night post-boat from France.
The bed wasn't particularly comfortable, sadly.
Canteen breakfast food.Insufficient seating.Toaster useless
Clean and comfortable. Easy to find. Quick and simple check in and out with friendly, polite staff
Paying extra to park, should be included. Would have liked to be nearer Portsmouth town centre. A bedroom for 4 adults but only 2 cups and 2 tea bags.
The reception staff and F&B staff were exceptional. Very cheerful and welcoming.
Everything was very good
The rooms were laid out well and the breakfast was very good with plenty of choice to cover all tastes.
Nothing that comes to mind
The staff were amazing we travelled to the hotel after a cruise which docked early morning and the hotel got us checked in earlier so we could rest.
It’s a Marriott.
The breakfast was RUBBISH, the staff at the front desk were overworked and couldn’t care less when I asked why breakfast was so poor. Charging £5 to park onsite was outrageous. I had this charge removed.
Bar
Breakfast was horrid
Friendly Staff and Good Location!
I found the Beds a little too firm for me!
Location suited our needs.
Took advantage of an upgrade that was offered, which unfortunately meant we had a room next to lifts which were a bit noisy!
When it comes to cleanliness, I am satisfied.
I have always chosen Marriott because of its excellent service and hospitality. Our church has hosted its annual Gala Night at your hotel for the past three years, we have celebrated our anniversary there, and my husband and I are regular guests. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my recent experience. I made the reservation using my Marriott account and email address. Although the room was booked for two guests, only our guest was staying overnight. I simply wanted to prepare the room with welcome tokens before our guest arrived. Despite being the booking holder, I was not allowed to check in. Instead, a male staff member escorted me to the room, unlocked the door, and remained standing at the entrance while I prepared it. I found this uncomfortable and unnecessary, especially after my identity as the booking holder could have been verified. I understand the importance of security procedures, but I believe this situation could have been handled with more professionalism and courtesy. This experience did not reflect the high standard of service I have always associated with Marriott.
The room was nice and clean, bed comfortable. Only drawback our window overlooked the internal seating area, but didn't cause a problem.
Nothing
Lovely comfortable and excellent value
Nothing
Big room good beds
Charging for parking and not taking responsibility for said parking
Very clean and modern
Good service
Poor breakfast choices especially fresh fruit and cereal poor quality choices
Near port
Dog charges £45.00 normally £15.00 to£20.00 extra
Did not have it as thought was overpriced
Good location, not fair from Portsmouth centre, close to Port Solent and a retail park nearby. Hotel was clean, had everything and staff were great
Nothing, everything was great
It's clean and easy access
A bit pricy but reasonable
Staff nice
Location good clean hotel But the big problem with their toilets inside rooms small and not comfortable shower and toilet bowl is too small you don’t feel comfortable when you sit even I changed different rooms all same issue To be redesigned I don’t know how the they designed like this awful no space to sit or clean
Good location for ports with good facilities. Decent pay parking. Very good breakfast.
No option of soft pillows. Others too full and large for comfortable restful sleep. Accessible room well equipped but door to en suite wet room impossibly heavy for disabled guest to open without a carer’s help.
