Etwas hellhörig le Wände, konnte nicht glauben, daß ich die Gäste im Nachbarzimmer so gut hören werde.

Das Personal beim Checkin ( Frau Georgie ) war sehr freundlich, aufgestellt und hat mir ein Upgrade angeboten damit ich bereits um 10Uhr morgens mein Zimmer hatte. Hervorragender Service.

L’hôtel est un peu vieux. Attendez-vous à des grincements des vitres à cause du vent. Je n’avais pas d’eau chaude non plus à cause des problèmes de pluies. Pour le prix, je trouve que l’hôtel n’est pas à la hauteur.

We were offered a room upgrade at check-in and got a wonderful spacious room with a beautiful river view and even a glimpse of the Oriental Pearl Tower. The beds were very comfortable, and the staff were exceptionally polite, attentive, and helpful

The water in the shower drained quite slowly, and there was no bath bomb this time, although we had one during our previous stay. I’m also still not a big fan of the security deposit required at check-in, though I understand this is quite common in China

The rooms were immaculate and beautifully appointed, particularly the bathroom and its luxurious bathtub. Combined with a fantastic location and exceptional service throughout my stay, it was a truly wonderful experience.

The only downside was the inconvenient lift system. To reach the ground floor or leave the hotel, I had to take one lift to the lobby or third floor, and then transfer to another lift to reach my room.

Déçu du personnel. A part être poli pour nous recevoir derrière le comptoir il n’y a personne pour nous aider à nous diriger en bas au 1F (à part sinon demande), arrivé en haut au 54F, pour se diriger à la chambre etc. On porte nos valises nous même (à part sinon demande). Le ménage était fait mais on sent que c’est très vieillot !

The size of the room was good

There was a noise that was continuous especially on a windy or rainy day. You have to go up a lift to go to the hotel reception and they seemed too busy to be attentive enough

The hotel spans from the 54th to 85th floor of a tower. We got a room on the 80th floor. From it we had excellent views to the whole city. The room was big, very clean. We could operate the lights and curtains from the bed. The bathroom had Balmain soap, conditioner and shampoo. The hotel is located in the financial district of the city, it was very quiet there in the evenings.

The breakfast area is too small to fit the guests. From around 9 am people were waiting 10-20 minutes for a table. The rooms are not very soundproof- if you have loud neighbors, you will hear them.

My stay at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai was an absolute disaster. We experienced a major water leak from the ceiling in the middle of the night, turning our visit into a total nightmare. To make matters worse, the room and bathroom were filthy and reeked of cigarette smoke. What was worse than the facility failure was the management’s pathetic response. No manager came to inspect the damage or provide an explanation. Throughout the ordeal, the staff showed zero accountability, and when we demanded to know who was handling our case, they hid behind ridiculous excuses about "language barriers" to avoid identification. It is insulting to claim that a flagship hotel in a major city cannot provide basic professional English communication. The management here treats guests with arrogance and complete indifference. They have no respect for their guests' safety or well-being and hide behind empty corporate scripts instead of taking responsibility for their failures. This is not a luxury experience; it is a display of gross negligence. If you value your money, your time, and your sanity, I strongly advise you to book somewhere else. One star is far too generous for this level of incompetence.

Bardzo dobra lokalizacja i ładny widok z okna

Mimo potwierdzenia przez hotel (w osobnej wiadomości po moim dodatkowym maili!), że pokój będzie gotowy od 15 (miałem za sobą długą podróż i wykupioną wycieczkę od 16:30) pokój nie był gotowy i nie było wiadomo kiedy będzie. Język angielski w recepcji bardzo słaby, ostatecznie o 15 pobrano ode mnie opłatę za pokój, dodatkowo 1000RMB kaucji i powiedziano, że przyślą mi maila, gdy pokój będzie gotowy. Oczywiście go nie dostałem, pojechałem na wycieczkę prosto z podróży. Po powrocie wieczorem pokój był gotowy, ale niestety nie był całkowicie czysty, między innymi poduszka była poplamiona. Nie zaproponowano mi żadnej rekompensaty za spóźnienie, ogólnie bardzo duże rozczarowanie.

Se recibió poca ayuda o nada en recepción, sin casi alternativas para poder realizar un early check in que no se dio finalmente llegando de madrugada en vuelo internacional.

Centrally located. Easily accessible via public transport. View overlooking the Bund. Good restaurants nearby. Breakfast with a view. Good housekeeping.

In general it's very good hotel to stay, nice view of river, room is clean and bed is firm and comfortable. Breakfast has a lot of varieties and the food tastes good but not excellent. It's newer hotel in Shanghai Pudong and better than most 5 star state-owned hotels on the west side of river.

Spectacular location .

I booked a standard queen-size room for a 9-night business trip. The room was on the 78th floor, with a partial view of the river and the Shanghai Tower, which is definitely a plus. The room was spacious, everything was in place, and everything worked properly. It was fairly clean, and the daily housekeeping always kept it looking neat and well maintained. The breakfast was good and had something for everyone, with both Western and Asian options. It’s better to go for breakfast early, because after 9:00 a.m. it starts getting pretty crowded.

The only downside was that it wasn’t possible to take a single elevator all the way from the first floor to the room. You have to go up to the lobby first, using one elevator from floors 1 to 54, then switch to another part of the building and take different elevators to go higher. That’s probably just due to the building’s design, but it’s worth allowing extra time for it.

Book the Club-access room, it never disappoint you. The waiter in the Grand Club is considerate, you could ask the waiter on the 54th floor lobby(if you booked the club-access room and above), they will take you to the 83rd floor to check-in and check-out. The meals is great, especially the breakfast on the 56th floor, they use Technogym in the gym, you could have a try. Additionally, the views is marvellous that you’ll never forget.

We had another womdeful stay at the Grand Hyatt in Shanghai! We have been staying there every year for the last 10 years and it does not disappoint! Mr Meng and his staff make sure your stay is a wondefull experience. Fred at the front desk will alwyas take care of you. Georgie was great as was Zhu at the pool. It you want a nice place to stay visit the Grand Hyatt Shanghai!

The looby starts in the 54th floor. The hotel is so high and the views from the rooms are amazing. Staff is very friendly. Its something special to stay in this hotel.

The pool is little small for such a big hotel.

The worst check-in experience I have had in any hotel, that I can remember. Staff are rude, slow and inefficient. It took 45 mins to check-in.

Shame the Jacuzzi was not working but these things happen.

I stayed here for a week and had a "good stay." The hotel is situated in the historical Jin Mao Tower and provides great views if given the right room of the bund. However, the views aren't perfect as there are many other buildings blocking the bund. I would also argue that looking at the skyscrapers from the other side of the bund is probably better than being inside them. In regards to the room, I thought it was spacious and clean; however, probably a bit outdated, especially compared to other Hyatt properties in Shanghai. The location of the hotel also is not the best as its a 5-10 minute walk to the nearest mall with dining options outside of the hotel. Right beside the mall is the nearest subway station as well, which you can then take to get the other side of the bund. The breakfast offerings at the hotel are great and expansive with many options. It was one of the larger offerings I saw, but also very packed. I also dined at the Shanghainese restaurant at the top floor of the hotel and it was great; however, it did have a sort of eerie feeling to it as it was quite empty. All in all, it was a good stay and one of those situations where I would want to stay once, but likely would not choose to stay again.

Located conveniently from the Luiziazui metro to explore the city, a mere 5 Minute walk. Great breakfast buffet to start your day. Unfortunately we did miss the dinner at one of many restaurants in the hotel due to our timing constraints but the dinner buffet at On 56 would be something we will make a point to visit next time. Views are amazing: we got the bund view/ pearl tower view and the Shanghai tower as well. Room size and bathrooms are great. Staffs were very much accommodating and responsive. It will be our base when we come back to Shanghai in future.

An amazing value. Service was excellent, Grand Club Lounge was welcoming and well stocked with fresh food and tidbits at all hours of the day, and the Club Deluxe Riverview room (corner room) was absolutely breathtaking. Globalists are really really really really well taken care of here, as they take the time and effort to reach out before and after your stay to make sure you are well taken care of.

the hotel is situated pretty high and rooms have a beautiful views(when the weather is clear) and it had very comfortable beds and everything was clean. It is easy to reach with Maglev from the airport. the food for breakfast was exceptionally fresh and good (we have tried Asian and western options.

Right across the Shanghai tower with easy access to metro. We had the “river view” room and even though could not see the Oriental Pearl Tower, the view is still excellent.

The A/C temp is not really changeable. We just turned it off when it got too cold. No instruction of how to use coffee maker and no trash bags on all cans. Not sure if they are trying not to use plastic bags.

The location and the view were absolutely amazing 🌆✨ Especially the Shanghai skyline from the high floor — it was honestly breathtaking both day and night.

One downside was that the staff felt unfriendly when I check in.. But aside from that, the overall experience was still very enjoyable, and the view alone made the stay worth it 😊

I had a very pleasant stay at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai. As a Hyatt Globalist member, I received a room upgrade upon arrival, which was greatly appreciated. Check-in was smooth, efficient, and completed quickly. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, with plenty of options to suit different tastes. I also enjoyed the Club Lounge, which provided a comfortable atmosphere and a good selection of food and beverages throughout the day. A special mention goes to the reception team on the first floor, who were extremely helpful in assisting me with shipping some of my belongings. Their professionalism and willingness to help made the experience even better. Overall, the service was excellent, and I would happily stay at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai again.

This hotel is absolutely not worth the money it charges. The service was disappointing from start to finish and nowhere near the standard expected from a Grand Hyatt property. The most shocking part was the cleanliness. When we entered the room for the first time, there was a huge black hair lying on one of the supposedly clean towels. This was disgusting and immediately made us question the hygiene standards of the hotel. For the price paid, we expected a premium experience, but instead received poor service, lack of attention to detail, and cleanliness issues that should never happen in a luxury hotel. We have stayed in far better hotels in Shanghai for significantly less money.

Das Hotel besticht durch seine absolute Top-Lage in Lujiazui, direkt neben der IFC Mall, der Super Brand Mall und der Metro-Station. Das Frühstück ist qualitativ hochwertig und bietet einen fantastischen Blick über Shanghai. Vom Zimmer aus hat man eine sehr gute Sicht auf den Shanghai Tower und den Huangpu-Fluss. Das Servicepersonal ist überaus freundlich und der Zimmerservice hat einen guten Job gemacht. Absolut weiterzuempfehlen!

Grand Hyatt Shanghai gave me a wonderful experience during this stay. The hotel has an excellent location for tourists, with beautiful views of the Bund and the surrounding skyscrapers. It is also very convenient, about a 10-minute walk to the Metro Line 2/14 station. One suggestion for international travelers: be careful when taking a taxi from the airport to the hotel. I would recommend using Didi whenever possible. If you do take a regular taxi, the fare should usually be around RMB 200. Always ask for a receipt and, if there is any issue, check with the hotel concierge. The concierge team is very helpful and can support guests in handling these situations. Overall, I had a great stay and appreciated the hotel’s location, views, and helpful service.

This is not a 5 star hotel a very low 4* at best. - the rooms smell like old ciggar smoke and decades of stale moudly air, people clearly smoked in those rooms for years. - the rooms are old very old remind of 90's vegas hotels - place is super loud, not very organised - the bathroom is smaller than airbuss 380 bathroom - i was at floor 80 the view out was horrible metal beams in the way - bed was hard and unconfortable

Exceptionally well located with great food and staff. Our suit on 82nd floor had exceptional view of the river.

Located in the center of Shanghai, its probably one of the most convenient hotels in the range if u wanna explore those skyscrapers or malls or even Hu Tong, those small narrow alleys that hide down the modern buildings. I like the aesthetics of the hotel, reminds me the rising 2010s when people still believe the world would become a better place. The feeling of luxurious and comfort surely made me want to visit again. Their "AI guest service" is not that smart, but besides that staffs are very friendly and helpful.

Hotel is vergane glorie. Kamers zijn mooi en ruim maar verouderd en krakkemikkig. Ik had een kamer die rook naar sigaretten.

Großartig in so einem ikonischem Gebäude zu wohnen. Frühstück.

Ob es jetzt durch meine Nachbarn im oberen Stockwerk oder im Nebezimmer zu tun hatte, es waren andauernd enorme Geräusche zu hören, fast als ob jemand sein Zimmer umbauen würde, bis spät abends. Dusche vom anderen Zimmer konnte man auch hören.
