Everything was perfect. Polite staff, excellent service, attention to small details. Breakfast with spectacular views was excellent. The gym and pool areas are not big but everything needed for a good workout is there.

The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong is the hotel we return to whenever we visit Shanghai. One of the main reasons is its excellent location next to the shopping centre, which gives convenient access to restaurants, shops and everything we need without having to travel far. The hotel feels modern, elegant and polished, while still offering the classic Ritz-Carlton atmosphere that we enjoy. Our room was beautifully presented, exceptionally clean and very comfortable, with high-quality furnishings and excellent amenities. Despite the busy location, the room was peaceful and quiet, making it easy to relax after a day in the city. The hotel also offered excellent amenities throughout the property and in the room, all of the high quality we have come to expect from a Ritz-Carlton hotel. Everything felt thoughtfully designed and contributed to a comfortable and luxurious stay. The service is one of the hotel’s greatest strengths. The staff are consistently warm, professional and highly attentive, and the level of hospitality is comparable to the excellent service we have experienced at luxury hotels in Japan. Requests are handled efficiently, but the service still feels personal and genuine. Although the hotel is in a premium price category, we feel it provides very good value considering the location, room quality, facilities and exceptional service. Overall, this remains our preferred hotel in Shanghai. The combination of convenience, modern luxury and consistently outstanding hospitality makes it an easy choice for us, and we look forward to returning again.

As usual Ritz Carlton provides the highest standard in terms of services. This is our 3rd time staying and the most preferred hotel in Shanghai. Location wise it’s centrally located in Lu Jia Zui overlooking all major landmarks, it’s connected to the IFC mall and also walkable to other major shopping malls. We booked and then paid upgrade for the pearl tower suite which is amazing because you are staring right at the pearl tower. The room is large with separate living and you can also opt into a “night Safari sleep tent” for your child. My daughter specifically asked for this. The suite also includes breakfast and lounge access. The lounge is probably one of the best I’ve experienced with good variety of food and drinks splitting amongst breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and late night canapé. It also open till 11:30pm which is later than a lot of other lounges. Services is the highlight of the stay, from the moment you walk into the hotel (level 1) all the way to the lobby (level 52) your consistently being greeted. There is a gym and swimming pool as well which is fantastic if you’re traveling with kids. The food (breakfast and lounge) was of high standard and had great variety of both western and Chinese style. It is definitely on the expensive side in terms of prices compared across other hotels in Shanghai but it is worth the money and we will stay again when we visit next year.

We stayed twice in July 2026 as we traveled in China. The hotel was wonderful and everyone there was incredibly helpful. The breakfast in the morning was great, the views amazing, and the location has quick access to the metro or cars (with Club access) that took you short distances. Would definitely stay again.

As one of the landmark of Shanghai, RC Pudong located in the heart area of lujiazui. I thought it was a more luxury hotel where is not family friendly but I was wrong. The hotel has Ritz Kids program where the kids were accommodated with arrival surprise and full of activities - I really love the tent in the room. For adults, the rooftop bar is definitely a good place to checkout.

The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong is truly an amazing hotel. It is absolutely beautiful with a very elegant look. The rooms are luxurious and excellently designed and the views of the Oriental Pearl Tower are absolutely breathtaking. The culinary experience is another major highlight. The food is outstanding with excellent presentation every time. I definitely love the hospitality as the staff are always willing to go out of their way to meet my needs. In addition to all of this, the hotel is attached to the best mall in Shanghai making your shopping experience extraordinary. This is always my preferred stay everytime I'm in Shanghai, I would definitely recommend a visit to the Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong.

From the moment I arrived until check-out, everything was handled with the exceptional service and attention to detail that the Ritz-Carlton brand is known for. I would especially like to recognize Ruby at the Front Desk. She was incredibly warm, professional, and welcoming throughout the check-in process. She handled everything efficiently while taking the time to introduce the hotel’s facilities and answer all of my questions with genuine patience and care. Her friendly attitude and attention to detail made me feel truly valued as a guest and set the tone for a fantastic stay. The room was beautifully maintained with breathtaking views of the Pudong skyline and the Huangpu River. We just completed our third stay at The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong, and it remains our absolute favorite hotel in the city. Our last visit was back in April 2025 for our babymoon, and returning this July with our now 1-year-old baby to celebrate their first birthday weekend was incredibly special. This time, we stayed in a spectacular Bund View Suite. The panoramic views of the historic Bund skyline and the majestic view from our spacious suite were absolutely breathtaking, creating the perfect backdrop for our family memories. What made this stay even more perfect was the legendary hospitality, particularly from An Wang. An was genuinely thrilled to welcome us back and made us feel like we were coming home. Knowing that we were traveling with a toddler, An went completely above and beyond, making thorough and thoughtful preparations well before our arrival to ensure our suite and amenities were perfectly set up for the little one. Her warmth, dedication, and incredible efforts touched our hearts. Between the majestic views from our Bund View Suite, the exceptional club service, and the meticulous attention to detail, our baby's milestone celebration was effortless and full of joy. It is because of dedicated ladies and gentlemen like An Wang that we will keep returning. Highly recommended!

Tip top hotel that I love staying in, which I did multiple times this year. The suites especially are magnificent with a huge stand alone bath and sensational views. Great service, delicious room service, reasonable gym and the location in IFC is so great for shopping and many company offices. Recommended!

The rooms are beautiful, the resort is peaceful, and every member of the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. The service throughout the resort was exceptional. A special thank you to Chris from the hotel concierge. He gave me the details information and the best places as well as the best restaurants in Shanghai & Hangzhou. His technique, professionalism, and attention to detail were outstanding. I really appreciated his time and would like to thank his helps so much. If you’re visiting the resort, I highly recommend booking Ritz-Carlton for great location, number one breakfast with Asian noodle soup,.., the hotel with the luxury shopping mall (Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Chanel,...). Overall, an unforgettable experience, and I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended!

We reunited with our whole family and celebrated a special family day in Shanghai after a whole decade, and we picked The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong for our accommodation. We cannot express how thankful we are to Shuhao for his patient communication and meticulous arrangements throughout our trip. He successfully booked wonderful restaurants for us, reserved fantastic viewing seats at FLAIR, and patiently shared useful tips about surrounding areas and popular internet-famous photo spots. His warm, thoughtful and professional service made our long-awaited family gathering incredibly smooth and joyful. This precious journey has left us countless unforgettable memories. We sincerely appreciate his dedication and look forward to visiting this hotel again in the near future with our family.

I booked this hotel for 2 nights as a tteat to myself after a hectic work week. Its been 15 years since I stayed here. Upon arrival the condition of the hotel remained excellent. I booked a "skyline" view room which face the Pearl Tower and Jinmao tower but I didnt like the odd triangle layout of the room. It's supposed to be 65sqm but felt cramp. Thankfully, the helpful staff at the club lounge changed my room to a bund view room which strangely at 53sqm felt way more spacious. The room comes with a large bathroom with standing tub, a large walk in shower and electronic toilet. There is even a luggage closet. At night, the bund views are amazing. Given the age of the hotel, the rooms are surprisingly well maintained. Some minor complaints about the bathroom were the marble has seen better days and may need a refurbishment. I love the bathrobes so much I bought one from the gift shop. Service was attentive and efficient although it just falls a bit short of the highest standard. For example, there is no welcome letter in the room which I usually get when I checkin to a Ritz Carlton. I had issues with the bathtub water drainage. As an apology gesture, the Manager offered to send me some amenities to my room but I never received one. Anyway these are small issues. The breakfast at both 52nd floor restaurant and the club lounge is good but there isn't effort to make something special, instead its all the usual breakfasts stuff. Location wise, this is situated right next to the IFC mall which mostly sell luxury goods plus some restaurants. One can access the basement MRT and its onr stop away from Nanjing road, though its quite a bit of walking underground. Overall quite pleased with my stay and will likely returned.

Breakfast timing could be extended a little. Battling jet lag, we missed a few breakfasts since it closes at 10:00–10:30.

We have had an absolute perfect stay at The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai. From start to finish, we have been treated like royalty. With perfect service and attention to detail. We were working together with the marketing team. Samantha, Jane and Winnie did everything they could to make our jobs easy. And the result shows. The hotel itself is beautiful. The perfect location that looks over the bund and pearl tower. The rooms are really big and feel very comfortable to live in. I can’t think of anything that can be better. The food was amazing as well. Every outlet has something new to offer, delivered with love and care. We will definitely be back!

La camera è vecchia, si vede bene e si capisce. Ho trovato camere migliori in catene competitors che chiedono 100/200€ a notte meno di Ritz. Serve rifare le camere e migliorare gli allestimenti…la sedia era assurda, anche il materasso era vecchio e da una parte è più sfondato / morbido. Le prese sono vecchie, armadio poco funzionale etc. Ritz deve essere il top, non può essere dietro a Mandarin, Waldorf etc.

Absolutely everything! Service, to food, to location. In all honesty it was the great team of people that made this stay truly special and converted us to the Ritz. It’s the small touches that make it. The crew noticed we liked to work out so in our room after a workout was a thoughtful note with nutritious snacks to refuel. Again the luxury was in the small touches and service. Location is excellent too.

As you would expect, the service was great, and the room was luxurious. Service was top-notch, with a great rooftop bar view of the Pearl Tower; there's usually a queue to gain access, which is free for guests. If you want a table, reserve well in advance, as it is a busy spot. We had a club room with a reasonable variety of food, and it never really got too busy. The staff were also great. Good swimming pool and sauna in the changing rooms.

Die Rooftop Bar Flair - wunderschön, aber keine Struktur. Als Hotelgast kann man nicht reservieren, es solle aber immer Plätze für Hotelgäste haben sagen die von der Rezeption. Geht man hoch, dann hat es nur drinnen Platz, draussen muss man reservieren… geht man raus kann man sich hinsetzen, muss das Getränk aber drinnen holen. Essen kann man auch nur drinnen oder man bucht ein Package draussen. Blickt kein Mensch durch. Trotzdem auch die Rooftop Bar sehr sehenswert.

The view from the room at the 51st floor towards the skycrappers nearby at Lujiazui and the outdoor view at the Bund at the top floor Flair bar were stunning and beautiful, especially with all the older buildings on the other side of the Bund lit up at night. The room we stayed at was completely quiet and we had excellent sleep for all the nights we stayed. Amenities in the room and bathroom were excellent. Everything was well maintained and clean. The team of staff handling our restaurants reservation requests were cordial and quick in response, esepcially when we had to reschedule the trip one day before our supposed arrival date. Food choice for breakfast was vast and quality was high. The restaurant was quite full during breakfast so if guests would like to be seated nearer to the windows for better views it is better to head there earlier. Other than the high-end IFC mall next to the hotel, other malls nearby offer a wide range of F&B, entertainment and relaxation choices. All in all we had another great stay with the Ritz Carlton brand of hotels. Next when I visit I would hope that they offer a bit more choices for food and wines at the lounge.

every public area is either a restaurant venue or a payable lounge. Would have appreciated a free lounge area for such upscale hotel. Also nothing complementary in the room ( drinks or snacks) , with a very expensive mini bar. At the price per night, would expect not having to pay 8€ for a coconut water can.

Прекрасный, чистый и удачно расположенный отель! Вышколенный и внимательный персонал! Очень порадовала зона клубного лаунджа. Его сотрудники вежливые и доброжелательные , еда достойная, виды прекрасные! У нас возникла ситуация, когда мы опоздали на ланч, при этом были очень голодные. Персонал крайне любезно вынес нам индивидуально подготовленные закусочки.

We love to travel and have been to many Ritz Carlton properties, but this was one of our best visits ever. Stayed for a week just before the Chinese New Year, and this property met all our expectations and then some. We splurged on one of the top view suites and were glad we did. The view of the Bund and river at night was dazzling. Shout out to Mike at the concierge desk who REALLY went way out of his way to hook us up with some local indoor pickleball that turned out to be a great experience in itself. Not a knock to any of the other RC properties, but the breakfast and dinners in the club lounge were the best anywhere. It wasn’t just a snack, it was a full on meal with outstanding selections and very friendly staff. Hope to visit again in the future with our kids! Highly recommend.
