Excellent emplacement pour découvrir Sheffield . Un bâtiment chargé d histoire à proximité des restaurants et du centre ville. Personnel à l écoute . Literie confortable et bonne insonorisation car les concerts du WE ne nous ont pas empêché de dormir
Clean hotel in a great location and friendly staff
Friendly staff, beautiful location. Comfy beds , exceptionally clean and breakfast was fabulous
Waited at the bar a long time to be served a couple of times and had to go and find a staff member
We had been to Sheffield once before and we chose this hotel for its location but we were delighted by how good it was. The staff were very nice and welcoming and they gave us tips and helpful information. The rooms were super comfortable (especially the beds) and when we visit again, we will stay here again! I also liked that it doesn't give the chain-hotel vibe. And last but not least a shout-out to the BEST breakfast I had in a really long time in a hotel.
Nothing, it was all very very good!
Nice room and comfortable bed
Nothing
The location and friendliness of the staff. The shower was really good as was the comfort of the bed.
The carpet was in need of cleaning and the headboard was in need of renewal.
Location was excellent. The staff in reception were very pleasant and helpful.

Position was excellent Staff were friendly We tried to telephone from the room for help but no one answered
Lots of things in the bathroom needed a refurb sink, taps , flooring etc At breakfast it needed more staff to keep filling up we had to ask for so much to be filled during our me others were also asking. Food cutlery bowls etc etc it needed staff to keep monitoring it all themselves Coffee machine was not very efficient
Went to a show at City Hall so hotel was perfectly situated and walkable from the rail station. Was upgraded to a mezzanine - which sounded lovely but actually would have preferred a "regular" room - steep, creaky stairs up to the bed and bathroom was on ground floor! However, bed was super comfy and room was spotlessly clean.
My personal pet hate is buffet breakfasts - the excuse to serve tepid food that has been hanging around - and am afraid that this was a classic example. Also don't like dipping a teabag into coffee machine hot water. I asked if I could have a pot of tea, to which I was told they didn't do that and didn't have any teapots!?!
Breakfast was good room was small
Room size, noisy fan in bathroom

Bed was very comfortable
The hotel is truly charming and I loved the architecture and the history of the building. It was fun getting to know my way around and I am pleased that much of the charm of the building has been kept. Location wise, it is perfectly placed in a good part of the city.
The only small gripe is the discomfort of the sofa in my room. Not comfortable at all
Staff were lovely particularly reception and bar staff and I love the quirky 2 floor room we had, the bed was super comfortable.
Maybe a bit dated
Breakfast was great, fantastic quality and choice. Location was great too, less.than 15 min walk to the station , and cl9se to the theatre
A room with a bit of a view would have been nice- we were in the rafters 😄
Friendly and very helpful staff , Grazia restaurant over the road was really good .
city centre quite disappointing
Location, breakfast, bed. Parking bay outside the door to the hotel for dropping off cases before parking the car in another place
Old TV with poor sound quality Navigating the streets around the hotel - fear of being fined for breaching traffic zones ( cameras on bus gates )
Location is excellent in middle of city centre. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Room was spatious and clean. We were upgraded to larger bed after no more appropriate twin rooms available.
Some rooms have limited views ie room window or courtyard wall. On this visit, thankfully we had view out to courtyard on request.
Fantastic location, room was lovely with very comfortable bed, breakfast was very good.
Gym was small No parking on site and weird arrangement with Pennine car park where you have to pay at the hotel for what is essentially a public car park. No preferential rates and the hotel charge you for the full 24 hours, even if you haven’t been there 24 hours so better off just paying at the car park
The location is fabulous and the staff are really helpful and friendly
I was on the 5th floor and near a boiler room which was a bit noisy. The bar food menu is a bit limited.
Its location and the comfort and decor of the room
The shower was cold. I did let the receptionist know on leaving
1st time I’ve used the hotel for my weekly stop over, much better than the others I’ve used.
Bed was so comfy and room was amazing 👏 🤩

I love the location of The Leopold Hotel! Always choose this one for its proximity to the City Centre. Fabulous historic building. The staff are all friendly. It was great value too.
My only gripe with it is not serving Yorkshire Tea! I think it every time I visit. Haha... it always seems like an affront to the whole of Yorkshire :) Also, could do with taking earplugs... you can hear people coming and going
Lovely room with a comfy bed. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The location was a good base for exploring the city.
As the room overlooked a square with several bars and restaurants, it was very noisy until around 1am on a Friday night.
Central location , the square outside is fabulous. Hotel is clean and staff are friendly
Central location and value for money
A bit dark in the bedroom
Love leopald square. Location is great
Mattress Breakfast room
Room was comfortable
Car parking was some distance as I have problems walk was painful walking back to hotel especially as it was up hill When asked what they would have done if I was not able walk back staff member just shrugged his shoulders
The lovely history of the building and central location, all the staff were lovely especially Ben behind the bar who is the best at making cocktails and made our wedding anniversary stay really special thankyou
Nothing really to dislike
Central and great value for money
I have a special diet and asked for my porridge to be heated and it came back happy the size as the guy said it had boiled over!
ホテルの周りに飲食店が多く食事には困らない
Great location, nice communal facilities. Clean but basic room. The breakfast was simple but nice and very reasonably priced.
The room was a little small
It is a beautiful building, lovely clean room and added climate control made our stay better with the heatwave. Staff were lovely and friendly.

Everything
Very welcoming reception staff every time we entered hotel; also attentive as they regularly asked questions about the outing we'd just had away from the hotel. Comfortable bar, good breakfast, nice proximity to cultural facilities and entertainment venues.
Pillows didn't meet typical expectations.
Location and price, while the bed and pillow were so comfortable I slept really well. Breakfast tasted really nice also.
We had to change rooms because our shower was basically on full heat. The next room also had the same issue. I guess it was more bearable than not having any hot water. I highly recommend the hotel encourage people to drop off their bags before parking the car in the nearest car park, because it is a very steep hill with a number of streets to negotiate. Another guest passionately raised the same issue when we returned to the front counter
For the price, this is a very good hotel. Clean and with professional staff.
It's a bit tired, but on the upside it's also quite well looked after. The breakfast room is a bit sad.
Great location. Lovely room, spacious and clean.
Shocking night sleep. We were given a room directly next to the bars which were open until after 1am.
Fantastic hotel, great location.
Everything was perfect, the hotel room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. Staff are lovely and kind and the area the hotel is situated in is perfect.
Nothing.

We have used this hotel before, but service levels have declined. Cumulative small disappointments and frustrations. Breakfast dismal. I don't blame the staff, suspect cost cutting.
Claims of luxury were grossly exaggerated. This is a tired old hotel, fusty and poorly maintained - but the main issue is the noise. Our ‘deluxe king room’ was far from deluxe and we were unable to sleep before 2am due to throbbing music from a neighbouring bar. It was like having a ghetto blaster in the room. The night manager was familiar with the problem and offered us earplugs. We cancelled the next two nights of our romantic luxury break and moved to a nearby modern and comfortable hotel
Lovelly, place and staff, really clean and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in.
hotel location
room alley view. bathroom products, tiny bar of soap and two shampoo/body wash sachets.
The location.
The hotel is very tired and very dull. The rooms need a make over. The room wasnt one I would want to spend much time in.
Well run city centre Hotel. Very helpful staff, good facilities - bar, common areas, pleasant breakfast room. Good sized room (4th floor), excellent location. Recommend.
Location was superb
We were in a room with a mezzanine bedroom and there were no sockets upstairs.
Staff were excellent especially reception team and bar staff
Rooms a little tired, could do with brightening up, fresh coat of paint, and perhaps a picture or a piece of wall art.
Ideal location for Sheffield city hall , room lovely and great breakfast .
Nice Rooms
Decor could have done with a refresh in the suite
We had issues with navigating around the road works and had not been warned about that in advance. Since I had said prior to our arrival that we needed parking, I think the hotel could have offered some guidance about the impact of the road closures. Also the water was turned off for planned maintenance work on the Sunday, and guests had not been pre-warned about that.
Great location
Room looked way smaller than on pictures. No room down one side of the bed. Had an encounter with a grumpy man about the tv, which had screen share that didn’t work and screen that occasionally cut out.
Staff very friendly and helpful Rooms pleasantly furnished and bed very comfortable Good breakfast including continental which can often be disappointing Liked the £5 voucher for omission of servicing room. Great idea to incentivies people to save energy!
The wall heater switch wasn't labelled so I put it on thinking it was a light switch and wondered why the heater was on The light in the fridge was very bright and didn't turn off I could see it around the edge of the wardrobe door.im quite light sensitive
This is the second time my daughter and I have stayed. It is a very beautifully renovated old school with lots of original features.
The room was disappointing size/layout. The skylight was broken together with the blind itself. The bed was extremely hard.
location, staff, breakfast all excellent
shower was very awkward to get in and out
Lovely and clean hotel. Really good location. Had a live band on in the afternoon outside in the court yard which we really enjoyed. All staff we spoke with were really friendly. Really good breakfast.
Na
Location good, breakfast good
I will never stay here again and your reputation is impacted. I paid for 4 nights - they told me on check-in, after I’d paid for it, that they could only accommodate me for 3 nights and they would have to relocate me for the 4th night - they relocated me to Leonardo Hotel for 4th night. This was due to water repairs which they knew about ahead of time. They could have provided me w taxi service to Leonardo but I was left to make my own way over there. Worse still, I had to check out of Leopold at 11am, but could not check into Leonardo until 3 pm. What was I supposed to do for 4 hours?? Also, although it didn’t impact me, I don’t believe they had step free access.
Good breakfast, great location, friendly staff, comfortable bed.
The room is in no way 4*. It is need of renovating. Scratches on the furniture and marks on the wall. Marks all over the chair. The curtains didn’t close properly. The shower was full of mould and dirty marks on the wall. It needed a good clean.
This was an ideal place to stay for the night, breakfast was good. Staff friendly & helpful. Nice bar area. Our room was secluded so nice & quiet.
Whilst the room was quiet it was very much like being in a shoe box. Not sure if all rooms are the same size, but very small. Everything worked & it was alright for the price of the room . Room may be better suited as a single.
Location and standard of hotel
Nothing we were only an overnight stay - perfect choice
Great location, 2 minute walk to city hall. Less than 10 minutes walk to train station.
In a great location beside everything that is going on in the city Great breakfast and beds are sooo comfortable and big We couldn't fault this hotel
Nothing
Staff were super Angus and Nan should get special mention Superb customer service We will go back
Excellent location. Massive bed. Friendly staff, especially the breakfast lady.
Nothing really. Breakfast room was a little cramped, tables close together
A fantastic location, excellent staff and the room was perfect. I took joy in the air conditioned room on what was a very humid day. Room was surprisingly quiet for a city centre hotel. Absolutely perfect.
I can’t think of anything
Great location in the middle of Sheffield
Very noisy during the day and night. Room was very dated. Fridge didn’t work and basin didn’t drain.
Breakfast ok would have loved a poached egg did not see anyone to ask
Your main entrance I wish you put hand rails on the first few steps outside as I’m nervous on steps and unsteady with my balance brilliant although we picked unbearable hot weather for walking around
Location, cleanliness, and breakfast was good

Couldn't beat the location of the hotel. Taxis and Ubers very easy to catch right outside the hotel. Though the City was busy on Friday and Saturday night we had no problem with any noise in the room. Would stay again.
All good.
Location
The stay was awful. The rooms are so hot and the beds are small- defo not a king. The pillows are awful. We stayed over for some luxury as we are currently living in a caravan while we renovate our house. The day was extremely awful and I would not want to return. I had a better sleep in the Caravan and wasted my money staying at the hotel, extremely disappointed.
The beds were SO comfortable and the staff were lovely and attentive. Breakfast was great value for money!
The rooms were slightly dated but otherwise excellent!!

Parking - Also the distance from parking to hotel carrying bags was a nightmare
Friendly staff, beautiful hotel and excellent facilities.
Was a little loud in the evening but earplugs come provided so didn't bother us.
Room ok. Breakfast is very good value. Friday night spoiled by very noisy music in the venues in the courtyard behind the hotel which our room overlooked. It was extremely noisy until 2.30 in the morning and kept a lot of people awake. Friday Saturday night you will need a room on the other side of the hotel.
Very Noisy venue next door.
Breakfast was excellent, friendly staff, great location & lovely period property. Price point was good value considering.
Sound insulation was terrible, lady with a hair dryer next door sounded like she was in the corner of my room! Rooms need serious updating, the 2 clear plastic chairs just didn’t look right. Car park arrangements are dire with a 5 minute walk down the hill to get to a multi storey so wouldn’t recommend if you have to drive.
Location 10/10
Not a thing
It was a decent, Historic building, not ultra modern, but I liked the History behind it, the Architecture, and the Photographs of it's time as a school was interesting. It was close to Bars and restaurants, a bit noisy, just people chatting, but to be honest, it was pleasant, and didn't disturb me and I quickly fell asleep once I went to my room.
I can't think of anything I didn't like, I suppose maybe the room came at decent price for a nice hotel, but then I had to pay £16 for 24hr parking at another location, not too bad a price for city parking, 24hrs, which gave me plenty of time next day to do a bit of sightseeing, Parking was walkable to the Hotel too so overall, I can't really complain, but if you're going by car, you may have to factor that in. Overall the parking wasn't really an inconvenience as it's pretty close to the Hotel, maybe 5-10 minute walk.
Liked the history of the building and all the artefacts.
Nothing!
The location was great - a short distance from the station, the cathedral and the tram lines. The room was comfortable but small, and the breakfast was fine, but not exceptional
Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner
Staff very friendly and helpful
Room not sufficiently cleaned, the robes in the room had clearly not been washed after the last guest as there was a bunch of condoms in the pocket
It's central there are several restaurants that you can get a discount of 10-20% off food with staying at the hotel.
As usual we had to take off the duvet cover and just had the cover on the bed. Duvets are too thick in the summer months.
There was a manager he was very kind he wore glasses, when I let him know I was unwell he let me stay for an hour extra complimentary to rest as it was a heatwave
The staff were awful they were inside your room when they shouldn’t have been and house keeping walked into my room when I was still in bed even with the sign telling them not to come in
Very central
Couldn’t get into the property past midnight
Location, comfy bed, breakfast, staff

This is a lovely hotel. I stayed while travelling solo for a podcast festival in the city, and the location couldn’t have been more perfect, close to everything. The building has some history to it, as a technical college, and ‘old’ bits and reminders of its past remain, making it interesting. My room was really nice. Quite ‘plain’ but in a good way and it reminded me of hotels I have stayed at in Lisbon, etc. The receptionists were lovely, an asset to the hotel. I also loved the little fitness room, which I used daily. Although small in size and subterranean, it had everything I needed: weights, a Swiss ball, mats, towels and water. Nice. It’s noisy on Friday and Saturday nights as the sound rises from the bars and clubs, but the hotel provided earplugs and it was worth it to be so handy for everywhere. Other nights were very peaceful. The breakfast room was hot and airless and the choices not as great as you might experience in other hotels, but I didn’t go hungry. Possibly getting a second coffee machine would assist the crush round the single machine. If I go back to Sheffield (I highly recommend the Crossed Wires festival co-organised by Greg James) I will definitely stay here again.
The general layout, the attractive terrace. No noise from the road. Staff very friendly and helpful. I liked the voucher incentive to save the environment by not having housekeeping. Breakfast was quite good but the wholemeal bread ran out very quickly and the alternative was standard white. Paying £200 per night for solo room and breakfast I would have liked a greater choice of continental style breakfast in a more attractive dining room. It had the feel of a cheap café
The rather small breakfast room in the basement. It was a squeeze to get by the tables (and I’m petite!) and seemed rather pokey for an hotel which is otherwise quite grand. (See other comments re breakfast above) Are there not other more comfortable rooms for dining in a building so elegant?
