Leonardo Hotel Sheffield

Lovely stay in my favourite room 803 an executive room. Great view through the two massive windows, one of which over Arundal Gate, which looks good in the evening with the lights. The room is very light and airy.Spotless and the facilities are just what is needed. The extra large bed is so comfy and nice to relax whilst watching the tv with a coffee and some chocolate, which I do every time I stay. The reception and breakfast team staff as ever were exception. 5*. Breakfast is definitely worth having. 😋

Wheelchair accessible room was okay however push button on door did not work which posed health and safety risk in event of fire. Toilet seat broken, stain on bedding and no room service. Had to ask for towels and top up of soap dispenser.

Humming noise from outside was loud so window had to be closed the whole time.

Large, comfortable, well designed room which included a large TV and ironing facilities. Great, comfortable bar. Cleaning staff very amenable and serviced room well daily. Shower was easy to operate. Hotel was in a great location near our event venue and city shopping centre.

My husband found the bathroom floor slippery and hazardous.

I liked everything. Only minor grumbles are the bar isn't open 24 hours. Closes at 12.30, 11.30 on Sundays. Also it is a cashless establishment, which I dislike, and normally try to avoid.

Location was great plus car park across road.

Saturday night with 50 minute wait for food was disappointing and beer was left as it was awful.

The location was amazing, everywhere was very clean, a comfortable bed and a tasty breakfast.

Our room was smelly and bathroom had broken toilet seat. We stayed there 3 nights asking to fix both problems, but without success, because we stayed over weekend, so they did not have ppl to fix it.

Very good location close to City Centre market. Staff were very helpful when needed. Bed was super comfy. Paid extra for an executive room which included not checking out until until 2pm as standard. If you park at APCOA multi story car park, ask reception to update your parking token for 50% reduction in parking fee. Would definitely stay again if in Sheffield.

We have stayed here before when visiting family. The hotel is a short walk from the station and centre of town. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Staff friendly.

I had a great stay at the Leonardo Hotel in Sheffield!, The room was excellent, very comfortable, and of a very good size. The staff provided exceptional service, and the cleanliness was top-notch. The location is super convinient: it is in a very safe agrea close to The Moor shopping street, with public transport nearby and the train station only about 7 blocks walk away. The breakfast was also very good. I will definitely stay here again!!

Fabulous comfortable room with everything you need. Blackout curtains were great, let no light in at all.

Bar was not staffed appropriately. Waited 15 minutes for someone to appear during a very quiet daytime.

The property location was ideal spacious and quiet room with all the facilities that I needed.

The attention to detail cleaning could be improved by cleaning the skirting board to remove dust and debris. The breakfast was not as I expected from past reviews, there were no coffee machines working when I was there at 08:00 the rotating toaster machine did warm bread only and there were no fried eggs available , so all in all a poor offering.

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful after I arrived with a damaged ligament in my leg.

The shower on the 9th floor was shockingly bad. Got, cold, hot, cold and at one point it stopped completely while I was standing there covered in soap and shampoo.

The room was absolutely freezing, couldn’t change the heat. The floor was covered in marks, the windows let a horrible draft in and the toilet didn’t flush properly and constantly was making noises!

I stayed in Sheffield for a couple of nights and this hotel is in a prime location , in-between the station and the city centre. Leonardo is a fab hotel and I've always had cosy nights at good prices.

From the moment you arrive your welcomed by smiling friendly staff at the reception and smell of hotel was lovely fragrance as you walk in check in was great and speedy room was clean tidy plenty of tea coffee etc bed was super comfy bar staff friendly and helpful and a kept a good pint the food in restaurant was lovely and hot check out was just same Simon the manger was happy to help us to ordering at taxi start to finish was a brilliant experience highly recommend thank you for lovely stay

as a solo traveller I felt quite nervous and the doors are quite loud, so they made me a little on edge. also my own door kept getting stuck when going in and out of the room

They upgraded my room at no charge.

Location is very central. The staff were amazing, very helpful and accommodating. Gated and private underground parking onsite. Good size rooms. A real bonus was they were interconnecting so perfect for a family of 5 with young kids.

To be honest there's nothing to complain about. The building is an older one and the bedroom & bathrooms are a little dated but you can tell genuine effort has gone into ensuring they have been decorated and modernised.

I booked a superior room. I wouldn’t say it was “superior” was more of a standard room small double bed etc but the views was nice as was higher up floor 9. The room was clean and bed was small but comfy.

The air con control panel was light up all night had to cover with a towel as was glowing bright blue I like my room. As dark as possible to sleep in.

My 1st ever visit to this hotel saw me stay over 4 weekday nights in a inward facing quiet room. The decor was fresh and pleasing with a comfortable bed and seating. The air con worked well and there was a range of lighting options. The bathroom was fine and the water pressure spot on. Housekeeping serviced the room daily. My check-in and interactions with bar and breakfast staff were always friendly. The breakfast buffet was extensive, although the scrambled eggs didn't look appealing. Evening meals were taken in the bar and the menu is large enough to cater for a wide range of tastes and budgets. The location of the hotel means there are no noisy bars or clubs close by. Public transport options include the SC1 & SC2 free green buses which will take you to the bus and railway stations.

So the listing didn't explain that by getting the executive king room I actually got late check out, complimentary coffees from the bar and I'm assuming the snacks in the room (kitkats, pepsi's and water) includent this was a lovely bonus based on the very reasonable price

Very mild complaint I'd of loved the room to be a bit bigger and with a bath. But I feel like the extra large bed is a reason for it seeming a little snug

Welcoming greeting on arrival. Lovely room, room number 910. Great view over sheffield with a very large window, which makes the room nice and bright. Super soft bed. I always have a good nights sleep. Room facilities just what is required. Plus, the room is clean and fresh. Breakfast lots of choice for everyone with good fresh produce. Breakfast staff on hand and friendly. Check out easy.

I had a very helpful check in at reception (Cashier 75) with three separate bookings needing to be linked. We were given quiet rooms as requested and, as usual, on my main booking we had excellent breakfasts, with a good choice of healthy items. The hotel is very well located for those using public transport.

Room was clean and comfortable, and has air con. Has all basic amenities. Sufficient amount of hangers provided, which is usually what hotels are lacking these days. Good value considering city centre location and 10mins walk from train station.

The aircon didn’t work so the heat in the room meant we had a terrible nights sleep and we had a towel that had massive rips in it.

On arrival greeted by friendly staff, quick check in and overall ambience very modern and relaxing - rang reception to unlock adjoining group door and request ice bucket happened almost immediately - great service.

The hotel was central and modern

I requested a walk in shower if possible as I have mobility issues and can’t access a bath. I was pleased to see my request had been met but on entering the shower I was extremely concerned that there were no grab rails. The flooring was also highly shined and slippery. I placed a towel down to provide some grip. I used the toilet through the night and as I rose to stand up I slipped and fell forward. I was in extreme pain all over and over the next 48hrs excessive widespread bruising appeared . I was only in Sheffield for a close friend’s funeral so in the morning that was my sole focus. The next morning I had to catch train home. Once home for 24hrs I thought I should get checked as my pain wasn’t easing. Very dismayed to discover I have a broken right shoulder. Circumstances extremely challenging as having my right arm in a sling means I have to use left hand for my walking stick . I have left sided weakness after a stroke so it’s almost useless and I’ve been unable to venture out at all unless my son been available to support me. I wasn’t going to mention anything but the fact I mentioned my problems in advance and there was no accessibility support is really concerning and I think it’s something management needs to look at. I found the staff quite distant. Not much engagement from them or any assistance offered when I arrived with walking stick and struggling with luggage.
