Desayuno elemental.
Friendly staff and great location
Entrance and lobby are to small.
Close to the Art Institute and also theaters
Older smaller elevators but I am sure they must be well maintained
Great breakfast. The room was very clean. The location was excellent. We walked everywhere and took the train.
Good location, easy to walk to places of interest, Pretty hotel. Difficult to find parking at first, but when found, it was a nice and easy location to park.
Would have liked pillows/ blankets for the sofa bed, was pretty cold at night with just the bed sheet.
Helpful staff, clean rooms, perfect location
The location was awesome
That i didn’t stay longer
Ubicacion

Close to all of the tourist attractions and clean.
Room was small for the price.
The location
The breakfast . Europeans don’t like this type of breakfast on plastic gear and nothing healthy in choice except some small yoghurt supermarket type in plastic
Big comfortable beds
I didn't like location it is away from main turistic attractions, only big skysacrapers around.
Great location While the property benefits from a great location and a comfortable room, the overall experience fell short of expectations for the price. The amenities and products provided were quite basic, making it difficult to feel that the stay offered good value for the amount paid.
Price does not justify amenities and products used in room
My husband and I just wrapped up a week-long stay at the Hampton Inn Chicago Majestic Theater District, and I honestly don't know where to begin—this place exceeded every expectation. Let's start with the property itself. The building is nothing short of iconic. The moment you step through the doors, you're greeted by what I can only describe as miles of marble—gleaming, grand, and absolutely breathtaking. It has that historic Chicago character that you just can't manufacture, and yet the hotel is historically maintained. Every corridor, every common space, every corner was clean and perfectly tidy throughout our entire stay. Truly impressive. But what really made this trip unforgettable was the staff. Every single team member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to help—no matter the time of day. You never felt like you were bothering anyone; they were simply always there when you needed them. I have to give a very special shoutout to Kay on the food preparation team. The breakfast area was gleaming and bright. This woman is a force of pure, positive energy! Her smile alone could brighten your whole morning, and she welcomed us every single day like we were family. During our week-long stay, she truly felt like a sister to me. No request was too unusual or too much trouble—she handled everything with such ease and grace that I was constantly amazed. Kay, you are one of a kind! And then there's Robyn at the front desk—an absolute gem. My husband was in class during the days, so I was often venturing out solo, and Robyn had the best suggestions for daytime adventures around the city. She knew exactly what would suit my pace and interests. And when it came to planning our evenings together, her ideas were equally fantastic. We had some genuinely memorable nights out, all thanks to her enthusiasm and local knowledge. If you're visiting Chicago, do yourself a favor and book the Hampton Inn Majestic Theater District. The beauty of the building, the cleanliness, and—above all—the incredible people here will make your stay one you'll talk about long after you've returned home.
Excellent experience, the entire staff is professional, friendly. This was our first time in Chicago. They let us leave our luggage when we arrived early, told us to have breakfast as it was still open, etc. Great location central to all transportation, park, and Art Institute.
Kay is an amazing staff member and friendly and the food was great.
Everything was clean. The food was amazing. Thanks to Kay. She did an amazing job. Also Robyn did a great job making my students feel welcome.
The team was amazing! They even helped me to solve the issue with payment for my taxi when my bank card wasn't accepted. The room was very clean.
Bathroom light out. Water pressure in sink was terrible. Iron is broken and waiting for a new one. Front desk staff were nice and courteous
GOOD
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful stay at the Hampton Inn! From the moment we checked in, the front desk staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well cared for throughout our stay. A special thank you to our breakfast host, Kay, who truly made each morning enjoyable. She provided outstanding service, kept the breakfast area spotless and fully stocked, and made sure the hot food stayed fresh and hot. There was a great variety of breakfast options for everyone, and Kay's attention to detail and positive attitude did not go unnoticed. Overall, the excellent customer service, clean accommodations, and exceptional hospitality made for a fantastic experience. We highly recommend this Hampton Inn and look forward to staying here again
The free breakfast and location was great. The room was very comfortable.
Great location. Spacious room. However: Pillows were flat & hard. Windows were filthy. The in-room coffeemaker coffee was the worst I’ve ever had: weak & tasteless. Breakfast was a very crowded unpleasant mess. Food choice was limited, and much of it ran out early. The buffet self-serve room is way too small, and the seating area has far too little seating. People had to leave and take food to eat in their rooms, but the elevators are slow and crowded as well.
Location was fine. Rooms were just okay, with my room being a bit run down. The atmosphere and layout of the hotel are a bit odd with the main lobby not being on the ground floor.

Great location, extremely clean, NEW looking room, and lots of breakfast options. Will make this my hotel of choice when I come to Chicago!
The room was spacious and clean Great location near metro and main attractions Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others
Really great hotel in the heart of the city. It was actually the tallest building at one point, which was really cool to know. Great breakfast, nice rooms, relatively quiet. Would stay here again for sure!
Stayed here while visiting family in Chicago. Great Location. Steps away from Monroe L stop/Blue Line. Good room. Comfortable bed. Adequate bathroom with good counter space. Some trouble with shower draining on last day. Decent price for summer season. Hampton Inn breakfast included. Coffee and tea available in lobby. Friendly employees. Hotel program status mentioned and water and snacks offered at check in. Elevators fast for such an old building. I would definitely stay here again.
Nothing it was shabby very badly kept
It was shabby with vintage vintage AC which was not working No safety lock from inside the room old smelly depilated carpet No mini fridge flies in room
Everything. This will be my go to whenever I'm in Chicago!!

Great location in the theater district, river walk, and the magnificent mile.
Our breakfast server, Kay, did a great job, was very attentive, and kept everything neat and tidy. Her service was a highlight during our great trip.
Great breakfast. Excellent location for symphony and shopping on State Street.
There was a mixup on the bill which took several phone calls and emails to settle afterwards, but the issue was resolved.
Everything about our stay was 5-star, beginning with wonderful Robyn at the front desk. We loved the location of the hotel. Our room was large, well appointed, and clean, with very comfortable beds. There were plenty of towels and all other amenities. The breakfast area was well cared for, with special thanks to Kay who was organized while also being helpful and kind. We would highly recommend the Hampton Inn Majestic Theatre District, especially if there is a play next door. An added bonus is the short walk to the fabulous park and The Bean.
The staff was incredibly helpful especially Robyn at the front desk. The location was great for our visits to The Art Institute and Grant park.
We had issues with our toilet flushing. Maintenance came promptly on our first call but the second time we were informed that no one was available until noon to help us which isn't really convenient when your toilet is clogged at 8am.

Robyn was excellent!! Very helpful and informative! Greeted us with a smile 😃
Great location! Robyn at the front is amazing!!! Will stay here again
Haven't even checked in yet and have an unpleasant taste in my mouth. Thought I had added a third person to my 2 queen sleeps 4 room, but being told if I add an additional person it will incur an additional charge (never have before), it will void my current reservation and since the hotel is sold out I would not be able to rebook. Extremely frustrated - I've never had this much runaround to add another person to a room before and feel its a money grab.
Location is excellent, it is within walking distance of many attractions such as the bean. It is located next door to the CIBC theater and just around the corner from the Chicago theater. Staff are friendly and attentive. There are only 3 elevators but they move surprisingly fast for an older building. Walls are paper thin. Breakfast was somewhat chaotic as there aren’t many tables considering that there are 20 floors of guests, but there weren’t any food products that were left empty. If it weren’t for the breakfast accommodations and thin walls this place would definitely be 5 stars.
The staff was sweet and helpful. We did not eat the breakfast once while there.
THe location was very weird, there are not clear instructions on how to get to the lobby floor, the security guard when you walk in was not very helpful. I had to figure it out alone.

El desyuno
Nice hotel located immediately adjacent to the CIBC Theatre, and very conveniently to CTA bus and "L" rail stations for easy access to O'Hare, the Field Museum (including Sheds Aquarium and the Adler Planetarium), and just about anywhere you would want to go. Also reasonable walking distance to the River Walk and Union Station. It's an old building with many floors but a limited number of rooms on each floor (my floor had 9 rooms). You enter at the ground level and take the (old) elevators up to the lobby. Access to the floors with rooms requires a key card. There is a small gym on the 5th floor. Standard Hampton Inn continental breakfast in the mornings. Aside from having to wait on the elevators (as I mentioned, there are lots of floors and only a few rooms on each floor, so there is always a wait for an elevator), I also noted that there were very few children here, which is probably because it is rather pricey and not necessarily kid-friendly. Although the staff was outstanding, I didn't really feel that the atmosphere justified the cost of the rooms; however, I was booking with only a few weeks notice and beggars can't be choosers.

Breakfast was just ok
Robyn went beyond to accommodate my requests.
Excellent location for us!!! Theater was attached to hotel. ROBYN AT THE FRONT DESK!!!! What an amazing person, went above and beyond what anyone could hope for!!!
Nothing comes to mind
Comfortable stay convenient to many attractions in Chicago in a charming historic building. Staff were friendly and helpful. The owner/manager was on site and was clearly interested in making the guest experience a good one. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Would definitely choose this hotel again.
No complaints.
Great location, good breakfast, friendly staff, check-in was until midnight
I liked that the hotel has cruelty-free products, the breakfast every day was delicious and the staff was always very kind and friendly, the room was always clean and warm. They have the option of a water dispenser.
We arrived at midnight too tired, It was raining and too cold. I asked about if there was any additional cost to take the hot water she said yes, so we decided not to take it; and the next day another girl told us the hot water was complementary and we shouldn't pay any additional cost.
I loved staying here. My room was very nice. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was beautiful, and the shower was amazing. And the breakfast! wow. Both days it was outstanding. They had omelets, maple pork sausages, chicken links, grilled breakfast potatoes, and oatmeal. They also had muffins, cereal, waffles, and fruit. It was all excellent and free. Fantastic start to my day. The staff here is over the top friendly, accommodating, and kind. Robyn Edwards is the gold standard for great customer service. She made it all work. She even offered to keep my bags for 5 hours after I checked out on Sunday at noon, for free. How many hotels do that? I don't know the names of the people who cooked and managed the breakfast, but they were super nice, and Mike was also very helpful at the front desk. I picked this hotel because of the location but everything else was unexpectedly fantastic. The CIBC Theatre is right next door (Hamilton!), and it's a short walk to the Art Institute, the Chicago Symphony, the Auditorium, and the shoreline. The HI Chicago Hostel is also very nearby and is a great place to store bags through Bounce, and they had an amazing selection of healthy snacks. Next door to that is a Cuban restaurant called Cafecito, which is incredibly good. Highly recommend this Hampton Inn.
Easy access from the train station. Good rooms. Most importantly all of the staff were excellent.
Hotel less grand than I expected but still good. Room was quiet.
Breakfast was disappointing. I don't like having paper cups, plates and cutlery.
Robyn at the reception desk is phenomenal! Warm, friendly, informative, and anticipating your every need. Every time I saw her over our 4 day stay she brought an amazing smile, and can-do service orientation to our interaction. I felt like I’d made a trusted friend. Other people from the U Chicago Shorey House Heritage celebration also stayed here. It’s wonderfully located to many attractions and an easy transition to the highway. We’d recommend it to others. Thanks Robyn and the breakfast team and Robertina for making this the best of the best of hotel stays!
Location was AMAZING!
Elevators were a bit slow
Loved the location, close to train station ( but not walkable for me as an older person.) Close by is a Target and some shopping, a few restaurants and next door was the Majestic Theatre where I saw a production. So wonderful to walk next door and back. The room was standard nice. A very comfortable bed, linens, towels. I'm so glad I stayed here and would come again. I liked the meeting/checkin/lounge area. Nice to have coffee, tea and breakfast. If you stay here go to the Italian Village just a few blocks. Amazing food, very special. The area around the hotel seemed safe. I walked in the evening by myself without any worries.
Very helpful Friendly staff Rooms are good size Rooms are very nice size with good bathrooms Good morning breakfast Very convenient for theaters and lakefront Easy to locate for rides. Quiet for Chicago in town. Front desk staff was so very helpful and friendly Very good Gym with good Pelaton bike
Booking.Com had very false information in their reservation posting NO Valet Parking Misrepresented early Check-in info I will not trust Booking.com info again. Per hotel this happens frequently with many items for the hotel.
Convenience of having the theater next door.
I wanted a place with valet parking. The websites states they have valet parking. I also received an email that stated valet parking was available. When we arrived, we were told there has not been valet parking for a long time. The person behind the desk did help us find a parking area close by. I thought the breakfast was a perfect variety and very good.
I keep returning to this Hampton Inn because of its location, and because I get what I expect from a Hampton Inn.
The Breakfast the one morning, the scrambled eggs were "off" in that they were not the same make up as I had come to expect. It was as if you changed suppliers, and that these eggs were not as 'tasty' and 'fulfilling' as at previous stays.
Pas grand chose. Pas terrible.
Pas sympathiques. A eviter.
Standard, very nice Hampton Inn breakfast. Can't complain, but they only had light roast and decaf coffee. Very attentive staff and management. They were very quick to a small issue with the room. And they checked back later to make sure everything was right.
Perfect location! We came for Hamilton and if you are catching a show this couldn't be better!!! Also so walkable to many shops and museums. The room was clean and well stocked.
We saw a show at the CIBC theater so the location was so convenient!
The beds were hard as a rock and very uncomfortable. Not much around in walking distance to grab a quick meal.
Such a cool place to stay! The room was completely updated, the beds were comfortable, the room was spacious and immaculate!
The ONLY thing that I would hope to see improvement on is the breakfast area, it’s a very tight area. BUT we still ate and it was a plus to have it offered!
